Quiero Tacos

I was craving authentic tacos and found this place. First time here and definitely can say we will be back. 10/10 🙌🙌🙌🙌 and they are super sweet. They gave us a tres leches cake for free since it was our first time here. This is our new spot 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My mom and I came here for lunch and were literally left speechless. We started with the chicken nachos AMAZING. Then she got a chicken quesadilla AMAZING and I got a chicken burrito AMAZING. We got a piece of tres leche cake to go AMAZING. Everything was so fresh, great prices, huge portions and a sweet server!

I just wish we would’ve come here sooner. The service was impeccable, the owner Henry was incredibly attentive, welcoming, he treated us with the utmost care. The food was beyond me, the shuco mixto, the garnachas, the torta al pastor, the tacos, the horchata and the flan were so tasty, so much flavor. The Shuco transported me back to Guatemala. I cannot wait to return and bring the rest of my family and friends! Every single bite was out of this world! Worth the drive from Suffolk!!

Food and Service were both exceptional. Ordered a few different items for takeout as it was our first time trying this place and they were all delicious. Portions were huge and so flavorful, the staff couldn’t have been nicer when placing over the phone and when picking up. Very glad we found this as a new option! Highly recommend supporting this local business

My husband and I just moved to Mineola, Long Island from Tucson, Arizona and we were hoping to find some authentic Mexican food. Thankfully we found it two blocks away from our apartment at Quiero Tacos!!! Today I ordered their lunch special -- two fish tacos with rice and beans as well as a small salad -- all for only $12! The tacos were some of the best I have ever had. The ingredients were fresh and the seasoning was so flavorful. My husband ordered their three taco entree for only $16. He picked one shrimp taco, one fish taco, and one chorizo taco for variety. He absolutely loved them including their fresh homemade salsas! We also appreciate that there is a sign at their front door that says they will feed someone who is hungry but has no money for food. You can totally taste the kindness and energy in their food. We will certainly be back often! :)

We happen to find this spot on goggle and we are so happy we did. First, our server which i believe is the owner was so attentive and so welcoming. We started with the carne asada nachos which were great. We then had Mulitas which is a small quesadilla and sopes . Our family also had al pastor tacos that had flavor , shrimp tacos, a shrimp burrito as well. Everything was very fresh and delicious . He gave us a complimentary dessert which was such a nice surprise. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Wow, you will not regret coming here. Everything I have tried has been excellent. Food is reasonably priced, servers are friendly and decor is a kick! Very fun. Don’t sleep on the pollo mulitas. Yummy!!!

4.5 stars Got to go as I work in the area. Torta and fries. Amazing. Chorizo torta was on point ☝️ -.5 because I think that was actually the worst horchata I ever had. It tasted like straight up horchata syrup I'd come again but I'd skip on their agua frescas

Quiero Tacos is a must-visit for any Mexican food lover in Long Island! I've tried several dishes, but let me tell you, the Birriamen Soup, Ceviche de Chicharron, and Buffalo Wings are standouts. The Birriamen Soup is the perfect fusion of Mexican birria and ramen. The broth is rich, flavorful, and absolutely comforting. The tender birria meat paired with ramen noodles makes this dish unique, especially on a chilly day. And did I mention the soup is half-price on weekends? You can't beat that! Now, if you're in the mood for something fresh and crispy, go for the Ceviche de Chicharron. The chicharron adds the perfect crunch to the light, citrusy ceviche--such a delicious balance of flavors. It's a refreshing and bold take on a classic dish. But let's talk about the Buffalo Wings! On weekends, they're half-price, and you can choose from flavors like Honey BBQ, Habanero, or my personal favorite, Sweet Chili. The wings are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly coated in sauce. Each bite packs a punch, especially if you go for the habanero. And if you're a taco lover, Taco Tuesdays here are unbeatable--tacos are half-price all day! Quiero Tacos offers amazing value, incredible flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend making this your new go-to spot in Mineola!

3 stars for today's order (3.5 if yelp allowed). There's potential here. Here's my feedback: Carne asada tacos: I said 4 stars, my wife said 3. There's 3 to an order for $15 which is a bit steep as they aren't large and there isn't a lot of meat. The taste is good and I liked the double corn tortilla. Carne asada sopes: my issue is it tasted and appeared fried. I know the base of a sope is fried masa but these tasted too fried (brown in color). Solid otherwise. Also 3 to an order. Esquities: taste and size good but the cheese used was a melty/stringy cheese. Needs to be cotija. I may try again after they've been open a bit longer.

Excellent new taqueria in Mineola. Inexpensive lunch specials. Service and decor were great. Highly recommended
