"This new Fremont Thai restaurant near the Lenin statue focuses on snacks such as crispy pork wontons and banana blossom fries, but the drinks menu is just as enticing." - Eater Staff

This place is easily the best Thai place I've ever been to. The customer service was great and the older lady was so nice. Every dish was great. There is nothing I can complain about with the food. Every bite was a new rush of delight as the flavors danced in my mouth. The place was pretty empty so the food came out super quickly (in about 5-10 minutes). The yellow chicken curry with jasmine rice is a must try. Overall great restaurant.👌

This Thai restaurant has one of the best vibes. Not only it is nicely decorated, food is delicious and service is cordial and efficient. I am amazed how fast the tables get turnaround even on Valentine’s Day when we tried this place! Highly recommend it.

The best Thai restaurant in town. The taste is amazing. You can easily go for the 🥵 hot level of spice. It’s super tasty and delicious❤️ Try their drinks menu- the pink lemonade is to die for!! I love tier Spicy Basil fried rice. Updated review: The mango sweet sticky rice is amazing!!! So is the crispy roti 😍 the yellow curry with crispy roti was so light and delicious 🤤

The food presentation and everything about this place is on point! I loved the veggies and how bright everything was. The service was quick and they were very friendly! I recommend coming here if you want a lovely date because the interior was beautiful as well! Very well themed!

R-Haan Thai is probably the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. The decor inside is so pretty, with real creepers and golden lights. The people are very polite, and the food is so delicious 😋. It is also located near a boba tea shop called Teaspoon and a Japanese store called Osaka, where I purchased Japanese candy and cute little sauce bowls. Overall, this Thai food was very flavorful and my family ordered the Tiger Prawn Pad Thai, which they said was very yummy, and they would recommend it if you eat meat. But, these meals come in very big portions, so if you have 2-3 people, I recommend only ordering 1 appetizer and 2 meals if you want a heavy dinner. If you have a big party, feel free to order how many ever dishes you would like. Below, there are some pics of our meals.

In an otherwise deserted parking lot, this little 10-table place. Pretty standard Thai stuff - standard taste, and a no-nonsense service. Makes it a nice place for last minute dinner run for when it’s late to cook.

I want to give this restaurant a good rating but at best, 6.5 out of 10, and possibly 7 is being generous. The positives are, it's a good date night spot, almost romantic vibe. The food seems upscale wannabe presented nicely in pretty tableware. The flavors are mild, and not intense so its adapted to most folks. For those that suffer from gout triggered by anchovy based fish sauce, fear not. The chef only uses salt for flavoring. You can ask for chilli fish sauce table side for those that want to enhance their selected entrees. The menu selection is more than ample to represent Thai food. The dessert may have fancy names but don't be fooled. The negatives is simple. The staff conversations are loud enough giving the place hair & nail salon vibes. Enough said. Will we come back? We do prefer more intense Thai flavors. In a pinch, sure but it won't be our first choice. However, we are glad it's in our neighborhood.

Absolutely delighted with my visit to R-HaaN Thai restaurant! The food was exceptional, with vibrant flavors and perfect seasoning in every dish. The presentation was equally impressive; each plate was beautifully arranged, making the dining experience as pleasing to the eyes as it was to the palate. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. Five stars!

Yelp
Key Points: - Delicious Thai food. Some of the best I've had, and I've had a lot of Thai food in my life. - 20% gratuity for tables or 5+ What a hidden gem tucked away in Fremont! Despite living here for years, I had never seen or heard of it before, so it must be relatively new. The Fam and extended Fam, mainly my folks came here one night for dinner. I'd heard great things about the place, and overall, the food did not disappoint. Here's what we ordered: - Garlic Prawns: These were the highlight of the meal. The prawns were extremely flavorful, and well seasoned (looking for a word that means a lot of spice but not exactly "spicy" though th y were that too, in a good way). Definitely a dish I'd come back for. - Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles): While the flavors were decent, the dish was on the wetter side, a style we'd refer to as, "sup chow" in Cantonese, rather than the drier "gong chow" preparation I'm used to. It also lacked the smoky "wok hay" that really makes this dish shine. Not my favorite rendition but luckily the other dishes made up for it. - Crab Fried Rice: This was spot-on. The basil and seasoning were well-balanced, and there was a generous portion of crab meat. A satisfying dish overall. - Crispy Pompano: Now this was definitely unique looking! The fish was fried perfectly and served with its axial skeleton used as a centerpiece after deboning. I'd never seen this before, and it added a creative touch to the experience. Now, the service: Not bad overall, but they automatically add a 20% gratuity for groups of five, which felt excessive, especially since one of us was a toddler. I'd consider that 4.5 people. When we asked about it, they said they'd only waive the gratuity if one person completely didn't eat. No exceptions. That policy felt odd and inflexible, but otherwise, the staff seemed friendly and accommodating. Overall, R Haan Thai had some truly memorable dishes. Since I weigh the food quality most heavily, I'm not docking any stars for the gratuity policy, etc. Definitely worth a re-visit.

Yelp
I was craving pad thai. We were looking around the area for lunch options and we decided to give R-Haan Thai a shot. In short, very pretty dishes though flavors felt a bit mellow and lacking a punch but would come back to try more. L O C A T I O N R-Haan Thai is located in the plaza with 99 Ranch Markey off the Mission Blvd 680 to 880 interchange. It's on the right side of it. Parking is a challenge especially during lunch time though they do have a dedicated parking lot shared by the establishments in the area. So you may need to park a little further and walk. I N S I D E There's a fair amount of tables for small and larger groups. I believe you can reserve tables in advance. When we went there was always a table available. No one had to wait while we were eating. This was on a Saturday around 1pm. M E N U The menu basically had your typical Thai fair which are curries, noodles, soups, etc. We were almost swayed to get the Pad See Ew but we stuck to the pad thai. Each dish can have your choice of protein or non meat option like tofu or vegetables. ~ Penang Curry with pork ~ I should've read the description. I didn't realize it only came with bell peppers. Both my hubby and I are bell pepper intolerant so we had to avoid them. The pork was fine a little dry but the curry helped. The curry itself felt watered down. Like it was missing the oomph or perhaps thickness that I'm used to with penang curry. We got it mild which was perfect. Spicy but enjoyable. ~ Pad Thai with chicken ~ I was taking a look at photos and that's why I was almost deterred to get this. The noodles looked thinner than I'm used to. But we got it anyways. The dish was fine. The noodles I wish were thicker. ~ Crispy Pampano ~ Very pretty dish. Came out in a deep fried pampano. I focused eating the actual fish versus the filet. Though I did have one of the filets and I wish the skin was fried first, then battered or even just remove the skin altogether. My hubby didn't like the skin on as it gave the fish a more fishy taste. I know we're eating fish so it should taste like fish :P So in case you don't like fishy tasting fish. You may want to stay away. I had fun taking apart the fish itself eating the best parts like the cheek and belly and the crispy bits left. S E R V I C E Very attentive and nice! Our waters were always refilled. We easily paid by card and were given boxes to go for the items we brought back. Also they were very good about catering to food allergies. A table next to us had someone with a garlic allergy and gave options on dishes they were ordering so that they whole table could enjoy. O V E R A L L Great service with a lot of dishes that can satisfy different palates. All ours were fine. Some could've been better. But overall, okay. Would we come back? Perhaps, but no strong pull. It's at least another option in the area for Thai if we're craving it. Try them out!

Yelp
I came here with Wendy H. on a weeknight. We made reservations but it wasn't necessary. We shared three dishes and agreed that one was delicious and the other two were just okay. The pad kee mao (drunken noodle) was really good! It had a subtle smokiness that was surprising yet enjoyable. The Tom Som papaya salad didn't have that fresh crunch I was looking for. The smoked duck curry sounds exciting, but was a bit of a let down. I can't really describe the flavor but it didn't complement the duck. Service was good. We were having a grand old time catching up that we didn't realize we were there until closing, oops! Our server kindly thanked us at the end as a gentle nudge to get us out of there haha. Would definitely order the drunken noodles again if I do ever go back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Do you know Papaya Thai in Newark, CA? This is an exact twin of that location in flavor, dishes, meat textures, and vegetable pairings. I am starting to believe this type of Thai is the definition of Thai in the Bay Area because I cannot seem to obtain the flavors of this type of Thai any where else in the world. FOOD: - I always order basil beef or basil pork because of my allergies to coconuts so I could never intentionally try the curries (yes I know there may be cross contamination but I love Thai flavors a bit too much) - the beef did not taste like beef but instead pork; it's nice, tender and not gamey at all plus it's $2 more than pork and chicken - I love bamboo and I appreciate the choice - I ordered mild with red pepper flakes on the side per the recommendation of the server (I love spicy but I do not like spicy to the point it destroys your taste buds)...this dish was not spicy at all, instead it was crazy sweet BUT the red pepper flakes added a lovely much needed spice to the picture - a side of jasmine rice is THREE DOLLARS!! (Brown rice is FOUR dollars)...this is just insanity - lunch specials run in the range of $18 and I am very compelled to try it. The menu explicitly states a drink is offered (soda cans, Thai tea, etc) but does not explicitly state the offering of rice (I am crossing my fingers and believing it does) - crazy how light the to go box was; only 1/4 of the box is filled - fork came without an exterior plastic wrapping so who knows where the fork has been SERVICE: - server immediately asks if i will like a menu - does not ask what type of utensils i want - I ordered to go and I stood outside waiting...super nice of a different server handing the dish to me at the door - when asked, stated it will be a 10 minute wait, but it was less than 10 minutes AMBIENCE: - I sort of kind of laugh because the restaurant was pretty much filled with Indians - dimly, romantically lit - dark - Thai decor - strings of lights - no strange smells LOCATION / PARKING: - located in a plaza filled with multiple stores and options including 99 ranch and its food court - plentiful parking but you do have to frequently wait due to the amount of customers - parking smalls are SUPER small and SUPER tight - plaza has neighboring plazas and neighborhoods so you will unlikely get a parking headache as you do downtown or in the city - free and intermittently monitored by security Will I come back? Definitely because I am too curious not to try their lunch.

Yelp
Food 3.5/5 mostly because of the pad see ew and mango coconut dessert. The samosa is crispy and packed with flavor without even need to dip into the sweet sour sauce. Their pad see eew was a let down for me. It's little bland and lacks the sizzling smell you get from a good stir fry plate. It could also use a little more dark soya sauce to increase the sweetness level. That said my family enjoyed their pad thai noodles. I didn't try the Bangkok duck but apparently it was good. And we rounded up dinner with their mango coconut dessert which the coconut tasted a little stale. Service 5/5 - expedient and quick Ambiance - 5/5 nice warm environment with Thai influenced decor

Yelp
Went here for dinner with friends on a Friday night and were seated promptly. We ordered the chicken pad kee mao, tofu khao soi and tofu red curry and a side of rice. Food arrived promptly and tasted good. The khao soi was the favorite at the table. Service was great with regular water refills. They also got us extra spicy sauce when we requested for it. Being too full to get any dessert, we had to skip it. Overall, a good place for a casual meal or takeout.

Yelp
I've ordered Pad Thai here for lunch a couple times and it's pretty good. The Pad Thai was so flavorful. I ordered the lunch combo with a Thai tea for under 20 dollars. I knocked a star off because the tea was waaay too sweet to me. (I added the crispy chili oil myself. It doesn't come that way) I picked it up to go and there were no service issues, they notified me via text and it was ready on time.

Ivonete K.

Yelp
Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Red curry and this time even dessert. The pad Thai wasn't to my taste, but red curry was great. The dessert was best. Service was efficient and the ambiance very authentic either beautiful painted mural on the wall which added to the atmosphere.

Yelp
Friends wanted to try this place, a bit out of way but I am game to try new places! Small but service was friendly. A bit noisy at times but okay. We ordered beef salad, crispy roti, smoked duck curry, garlic shrimps, sweet basil chicken, mango sticky coconut rice. Also a slide of jasmine rice and coconut rice on the side. Tasted very average Thai cuisine. The platings were pleasant but not too creative as every dish looked the same with flower. The beef salad was surprisingly not grilled beef. A bit watery. The crispy roti could be a bit more crispy. The smoke duck & curry combination was a bit of throw off for me but my friends enjoyed it. Basil chicken nothing to write home about. The star was the garlic shrimps. Very tasty and the shrimps were more crunchy than the roti so I ate the whole shrimp from head to tail including the shell. The mango coconut rice... I would prefer the mango not cut to strips. I think it was supposed to be a bird? But at first glance I thought they arranged it into a centipede . Overall I would return only if I am invited by people I have not met first a while to entice me to make the trip as other than the shrimps I can get better Thai food closer to home.

Yelp
R HaanThai is a cute Thai restaurant with great decor and amazing service! Came here on a Tuesday night and most tables were full but we didn't have to wait. We ordered the khao soi with chicken, pad Thai with chicken, and crab fried rice. The khao soi was my favorite bite of the night. Super thick creamy broth with a strong curry flavor. It had all the right toppings with the pickled mustard greens and fried noodles. The noodles are a lot thinner than what's traditionally in this dish but it was still good, just a tad over cooked because it was not Al dente. The crab fried rice is a must order! Nice plump crab meat on top of a well seasoned fried rice. I would skip the pad Thai next time though the noodles were way overcooked. The flavor is also more on the shrimp paste side than the tamarind side and it was a bit too on the sweet end. I would definitely come back to try other items.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
I quite like the lunch special here! This thai restaurant is tucked in the corner of the ranch 99 plaza. The store itself is a little small so wait times can be long, but it's usually not too busy. Both times I've come here I've had the pad Thai lunch special which they make with the thinner pho like noodles. It's on the saucier sweeter side and very flavorful! I have yet to try their other lunch specials as well. I love that they have different variety or spicy add ins available. I usually add slightly too many Thai chili flakes which are very spicy They do add a service charge for parties of 5 or more but they'll let you know. The servers were attentive checking if we want refills in water or asking if we needed anything else.

Yelp
I think this is a popular lunch spot for workers, because it was busy on a Thursday afternoon. My family and I came here for lunch and we each ordered a dish and we shared an appetizer: Crispy Roti ($12): The curry was good and the roti was thin and flaky, but this was not worth $12 at all. Tom Yum Noodle Soup ($18): My mom loved this! I'm personally not a fan of tom yum but I thought the broth was flavorful and had a lot of depth. Pad Kee Mao ($16): Unfortunately, looked very bland and also tasted very bland. Pad See Ew ($18) This is normally my favorite dish but I've had a lot better :/ The noodles were all broken into small pieces too. Pad Thai ($18) Pretty good and tangy, I wish they used thicker noodles though! Overall, it ran us about $108 after tip and tax, and thats including 2 thai teas. Really steep for the quality of food. I don't think I'd come back here personally, but the service was excellent.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Another good Thai spot! My mom and I shared 4 dishes: Yellow Curry with Chicken, Pad Eggplant w/ Pork, Spicy Fried Rice, and Bangkok Duck. The Yellow Curry was not the best I've had. Pretty good, but on the blander side with slightly undercooked potatoes & carrots. I asked for my yellow curry to be their "Thai Spicy" level and it was extremely mild. The Pad Eggplant w/ Pork was good! Really flavorful and paired well with the Spicy Fried Rice. Again, very mild despite being titled spicy. The Bangkok Duck was tasty but a bit expensive for the amount you get. The workers were all so nice and very attentive even when busy. This restaurant is a bit more on the "higher end" with a casual date-night ambiance and beautifully presented dishes. Portions are average but easily shareable. Four dishes was beyond plenty for two people and we had leftovers. I recommend this spot for a nicer dinner date!

Yelp
It's kinda hard to find parking space on Sunday. Other than that, The food is delicious. The service is great. Will come again.

Yelp
An amazing local Thai restaurant in Warm springs. My friend and I came at 1pm for lunch and we were immediately seated. My friend and I ordered the chicken pad kee mao and Tom Yum noodles and they were both well seasoned and flavored. Shortly after we orders the food came out right away. The Tom Yum ($18) included a variety of seafood such as squid, fishballs, and shrimp with a peanut and chicken topping. I love the nutty flavor and texture of the added peanuts in both the dishes. In addition to that I could not stop drinking the soup I just love the hot and sour flavor of the Tom yum. I tried some of the pad kee mao and the chicken was super tender and the noodles were coated in sauce. The service was great too since the server came around to check in on how everything was. The prices were great and I would definitely come back again if I was craving Thai food.

Helen H.

Yelp
I was really craving Thai food on a Sunday night and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was quite quiet and we were the only party dining for some time. The server was really attentive and made sure we were enjoying our meal. 5/5 on customer service! I ordered the pad thai with tiger prawn and som tum (papaya salad). The tiger prawn was soooo good! The shell has been fried and it was so satisfying to munch on. However, if you don't like eating the shell, be warned that there are a lot of just fried shells. Flavors of both dishes were comforting but I personally do like my papaya salads a little more tangy. The salad mix on the side of the papaya salad also threw the flavor off for me. Pricing was on the higher end and portion size was quite small. I also order the pad kee mao togo for my sister which she thought was just mid. She thought it was a bit lacking in flavor. I most likely would come back next time when I'm craving Thai food to try their other popular items. It's a good local spot but I wouldn't have my friends go out of their way just to eat here.

Yelp
Fire Thai food, friendly service, and colorful beautiful dishes good for dates, families, and kids! If you're looking for Thai in Fremont, come to R HaanThai. They're located in a shopping plaza with lots of other shops from Ranch 99 to other restaurants and Rose Tea. Came here for a late family lunch and we all walked out full, warm, and happy. We got their special crispy pompano (GET THIS), pumpkin curry, papaya salad, and Signature pad thai with crispy prawn. THE PRAWN is insane. So crispy and flavorful. Everybody also LOVED the pompano, and it just has such a beautiful aesthetic. All the food came out at the same time, not too long of a wait 10-15mins. Waters were refilled multiple times, and the unisex restroom is clean. Pricing is pretty standard for the Bay, even in East Bay. It's a great spot if you're looking for a thai spot to go to from time to time. Not overly fancy, and very welcoming once you walk in. Seating is plentiful and great for families. Highly recommend a visit, some people also had takeout.

Christina Q.

Yelp
I take it all back. This place is delicious. Heavily recommend the tiger prawn pad thai!

Jen H.

Yelp
My new go to Thai spot in Fremont. Not ashamed to admit, I love me a good pad Thai and R HaanThai delivers every time. The noodles are cooked to just the right saucy but still slightly stir fry crispy texture, and I love that the sauce includes some tomato flavor. The khao soy, pad Kee mao and curries here have a been solid. Had the soft shell crab crab soy last time- decent but didn't quite live up to my expectations. The space is clean, servers are also attentive and welcoming. There is a lunch special, but it's really only a dollar or so off the usual price.

Sanjali P.

Yelp
The service here is really great and I'm a big fan of the appetizers. The main dishes however were a bit of a let down. Some of the main popular dishes were not as flavorful as I had hoped. The eggplant was okay and the beef pad see ew and the Thai fried rice lacked a bit of flavor. I'd get a curry next time. The mango sticky rice at the end was amazing.

David T.

Yelp
YES!! Good food in a cozy setting and service is excellent! It's in a plaza that gets busy so keep that in mind. Everything we had was delicious! Will be back for more!

Julie W.

Yelp
This is for Togo service only. I decided to try this one after new restaurant name and ownership after previous Thai restaurant. It was a Togo order. I ordered online and online service and text confirmation all went smoothly. I picked up the order and went back to the office. When I opened the bag and found already some green curry sauce around the bag. I thought it wasn't sealed property from the tray lid. So I closed the lid to make sure it was sealed and pulled out the Togo box. More green curry spilled out from no where! I was then in panic mood because now my office desk became like a green pond and started to be the river toward my keyboard and mousepad. I opened the lid and can't tell where the leak was from. Then I moved the tray up in the air and more curry leaked out from the bottom of the tray. Now the my desk became the green curry ocean .... I had to borrow cowoker's lunch box so I can put rice and green curry solid food (all soups went to leak) inside and started to clean it up my desk. I also emailed them but unsure they would look into and talk with they tray vendor. So for ruining my lunch, 3 star. But for food green curry, coconut rice and Thai tea, they were tasty and should be 4.5 star. Average out to be 4 star. I will try Togo next time again to see if this will happen again.

Monica C.

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday evening. It was fun. The staff was friendly. We had the spicy fried rice, Panang avacado, the cashew nut, and spring rolls. We also had the Tom khao soup. Everything was delicious.

Shirley M.

Yelp
Came here for a lunch on a weekday and it didn't disappoint! They have a lunch menu available during the week (excluding weekends) where you can purchase certain set meals that come with a main course and a drink. I got yellow curry chicken with Thai iced tea, which comes out with a nice-sized curry dish and a side of white rice. The curry was good, though I wish I had ordered a higher spice level. Mild was not spicy at all. I think more spice would have made the meal even better. Their Thai iced tea is one of the best I've ever tried - not super sweet but sweet enough where you get what you're expecting (but avoid the stomachache). The portions are large enough that you'll likely have leftovers, and the service is fast and friendly. They also have appetizers available too, though they're the same price at lunch and dinner. I would definitely come back here the next time I'm craving Thai food - the high reviews are there for a reason.

Jessica P.

Yelp
The food here is sooo delicious! We came to celebrate a birthday with a party of about 20 people and the service was great, no complaints. The place is on the smaller side so I definitely would make sure to call ahead if I'm coming in with a big party to check on wait times. Would highly recommended getting the pad Thai, top tier for sure. Next time I come back I want to try the drinks and dessert they have available. 5/5 across the board

Shellyann Marie A.

Yelp
Went out for my birthday with my family. The staff is very sweet. The food was very delicious. The restaurant was very clean. I didn't tell the staff It was my birthday. One of my family member give me flowers and greeted me happy birthday. They treated us with so much joy and they gave me a free ice cream. Kept saying Happy birthday on my way out and gave me a sweet birthday wish, I thought that was very kind of them. Other than that, the food was delicious. We ordered so much food kept coming and they serve us really quick. I lost track in taking photos. 10/10

Yelp
Such a great little find. So glad that we decided to try something new for dinner. This restaurant was like finding a hidden gem. We would have passed right by it if we weren't looking for it. This inconspicuous little restaurant is a must go if you are looking for great Thai food in the Fremont area. The restaurant's size is rather small but the wait wasn't long at all for a table. We were quickly sat and our orders taken. The food came out quickly and was artfully presented. Not only was our food beautifully presented, the flavors were amazing. The staff were very polite and attentive. We felt the restaurant had a good flow with people coming and going without the feeling of being rushed. I would definitely go back to this restaurant if I'm in the area. I would also recommend it for anyone looking for a great date spot. Overall great find and will be back

Yelp
Excellent food and good service. Love the pad Thai tiger prawns delicious. Menu selection is good.

Howard C.

Yelp
I ordered chicken Pad Thai, Basil eggplant, and pad see ew to go. The worst decision ever!! I would not consider the food to be considered Thai. The pad Thai used thin noodles and tasted mostly vinegar. The eggplant and vegetables and pad see ew did not have much flavor. The vegetables did not look appealing and the pad see ew noodles were overcooked. Everything was so disappointing. I will never go back and thought about giving them the food back. When the food is this bad, it's time to close.

Joyce L.

Yelp
Super good Thai food with wonderful service! I took one star off for serving size. The price is pretty much the same as most places around Fremont but the serving size was more on the small side. The food is incredibly tasty and is probably my most frequented Thai place given its location and quality of food. There are plenty of vegan options (roti, soups, noodle and rice dishes w/egg omitted). When in season, the mango sticky rice is a must! This place will not serve unripe mango so you can trust that when it's on the menu, you will not be disappointed! The service here is awesome and we've always felt welcome here, even when we show up in hiking clothes pretty much every visit. You will always be greeted with a cute little vase filled with fresh flowers during your visit. I don't know who really cares about these little things, but I absolutely love bud vases so I look forward to seeing the little arrangements when I visit. Side note: If you come during the day, you can actually see Mission Peak from your table. Not a bad view!

Melissa H.

Yelp
I think I have found my new favorite Thai spot.... Seriously. Everything here was SO delicious. I honestly was not expecting how good the food was going to be since the place was pretty unassuming from the outside, but the yelp photos looked so yummy. Service was great from the moment we stepped in, they also never let our water run down -- super attentive! -Fresh Roll: Peanut sauce was one of the best I've ever had. The roll itself was, of course, fresh. A very essential starter at any Thai place. -Sweet Basil Chicken: I really enjoyed this! A really simple dish but the sweet basil sauce with all of the tossed veggies and chicken (which was cooked well) was a great protein option. -Beef Pad Thai: STAR. OF. THE. SHOW. Please order this. You cannot go here and NOT try their Pad Thai at least once. I genuinely believe this might be the best Pad Thai I've had. -Mango Sticky Rice: Presentation on 100. The mangoes are in the shape of a heart and the sticky rice is still warm when you get it. Incredible Our plates were pretty much clean by the end of the meal, and I went with myself and one friend. We also really appreciate the presentation for every single one of their dishes as you might see in my photos. Dont sleep on this place!!! 10/10

Yelp
I ordered the Pad Thai with Crispy Shrimp and I devoured the whole thing in one sitting! I'm usually kinda iffy about eating the shrimp skin, but I took a bite of one and it was so crispy, like biting into chips. I ended up eating all the shrimp skin lol! The sauce was super flavorful! My friend got the beef Pad See Ew, and she said it was hands down one of the best she's ever had. The servers were super welcoming and friendly!

Yelp
Great service; continuous water service & explains the menu clearly & patiently. Clean & nice decor with a bit of South Asian flair. Had their special today. Soft shelf crab noodle soup. Soup is flavorful & nice... can be richer but very good. It has generous portions... two soft shelf crab! They have a list of m-f lunch special which my friend had the chicken fried rice $18 including Thai ice tea. Such a good deal. Will need to come back to try other dishes. Food is definitely 4.5 with room for improvement. Maybe next time, they'll earn the coveted 5 stars which i don't give often. Need to come back to try more dishes.

Yelp
For our lunch last Friday, we ordered fried chicken over fried rice and pork pad Thai. We ordered for delivery and the food was still piping hot by the time we received it. Out of both entrees, I liked the fried rice dish more. The chicken was still crispy on the edges and the fried rice was flavorful. As for the pad Thai, I thought this dish was slightly a little too sour and the pork was dry.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday around 1:30 and had no issues getting a table for 3 adults, 1 toddler, and a baby. I was able to order a drink and appetizer while waiting for my friends to arrive. They brought out a paper plate and plastic utensils for my friends' kid along with a booster seat. My friends and I each ordered an entree. I had started with the shrimp rolls. Yummy! Basically just fried shrimp in egg roll format. My friend and I got the pad thai with crispy tiger prawns. SO delicious! I see why it's one of their specials. They take the shrimp out of the shell but fry the shrimp and shell pieces so the shell is edible bc of the crispiness. And it was all very good! The pad thai is very sweet, so we added their pickled jalapeños and pepper "sauce" that you can ask them to bring on the side. My other friend got the crispy fish dish, and it was also really good with cool presentation. I also got a thai iced coffee. Good but not that hard to mess up I imagine. The place is not very big, but they have some tables along the wall with soft seating and some tables with chairs in the middle as well. Service was quick and friendly! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The papaya salad was soooo tasty! super fresh, chilly, crunchy, herbaceous... we got medium spicy and it definitely packs a punch with all the thai chilis, but super enjoyable. The pad kee mao was great. noodles had a good bite... bunch of soy flavors and veges still crunchy. Pro-tip is ask for the fish sauce and chilis and add a bit for each bite! The yellow curry was solid but not my favorite! I think there were a bit too many veges in the dish for the amount of curry. It was a pretty thin curry as well. Flavors are still there tho!

Yelp
The last time I ordered from this restaurant it was before they updated their menus. After today's visit I will be returning more frequently. Best pad Thai probably in the East Bay and deserves 5 stars alone for the Pad Thai and Tiger Prawns dish, my go-to dish. The prawns are cooked to perfection and you can eat every single bite in comfort. I love the attention to detail where they deshell the prawns but the shell is still attached to the tail for you to enjoy separately from the meat. Ne careful not to order the Garlic Prawns because it's a different dish. I also enjoyed my Thai iced tea and if you want to try something unique ask for the Seafood Sauce. I could drink this all by itself but it's spicy but so delicious. My friend ordered the green curry with chicken (spicy). It was as spicy as expected and the curry was a bit lacking in flavor and veggies but the chicken at least didn't taste overcooked. I like that they have a lunch special for $18 including the rice and drink (Thai tea is $1 extra) but the prawn dish isn't one of the options.

Yelp
Wow!! I'm really impressed with this local restaurant. It's a very cozy and intimate store with friendly staff. Service is quick and attentive! Here's what I have tried these past few months: + Pad Thai Crispy Tiger Prawns (5/5): Soooo delicious! This is a MUST TRY. The shrimp are cooked perfectly and make this dish so addicting. The pad thai itself is really great too! I am getting hungry just writing about it... + Chicken Pad See-Ew (3/5): It's okay. The noodles are great texture and it's seasoned well! The portion was very generous too. However, the American broccoli and carrot addition is odd. They were also undercooked. + Khao Soi (5/5): INCREDIBLE! If you love creamy curry, the broth is perfect for you. They add an entire chicken leg in this, which is fall-off-the-bone tender. The noodles stick together though, so be sure to toss the noodles as soon as they hit your table.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and wow the value of the lunch combo is pretty good, considering you get a huge plate of food and a large drink for $18! I ordered the pad thai and thought it was good but too sweet; I've definitely had better in the Bay Area, which is why I knocked a star off. But the portion size was huge, and I enjoyed the Thai ice tea that I also got. Service was quick and friendly. This is located in a plaza, so parking is not an issue.

Yelp
This mom and pop restaurant is located in a busy shopping plaza where there are plenty of free parking spots in the plaza's lot. We were greeted and seated by a friendly server upon entering the restaurant. We ordered the chicken satay and chicken pad thai. We also ordered the Bangkok Duck and crispy pompano which they are their two signature dishes. The food came out in a timely manner. The chicken satay was just ok, which we had better. The chicken pad thai had good amount of the sweet and sour tamarind sauce, which we liked. The crispy pompano was crispy and flavorful. The Bangkok duck was crispy but dry and lacked flavor. The waitress checked on us several times. They provided excellent service. However, they used too much msg in their food. We drank alot of lemon water and still couldn't quench our thirst.

Yelp
Really good food , clean environment. I ordered the special they had that day very yummy , i only wish they had removed the skin from the chicken makes it harder to eat. Still would order it again. Make sure to ask them to pack your leftovers if you have any, I hadn't noticed when they took my bowl and forgot to tell them had a 1/4 bowl left.

Yelp
A newly renovated Thai restaurant opened after Covid. Comparing to the Thai restaurant before R Haan, the dining room is updated for a contemporary decor with Thai essence, and the servers are younger and enthusiastic. Kitchen has more workers and dishes are coming out faster. The three of us ordered dinner entrees for lunch as we want to try the Pad Thai with Soft Shell Crab. A dish that you don't see very often elsewhere. Crispy Roti with curry sauce, Tom Kha soup (coconut mushroom soup with your choice of meat or tofu), and green curry shrimp. The taste, dish presentation, menu selection were all great for a nice dining experience. The servers were attentive and friendly. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for portion size. Though the dish presentation is beautiful, it is not enough to share with family style serving. It was just enough for 3 of us for their entrees. So consider double your order if you are going with a group of 4 or more. I still recommend this restaurant for a contemporary Thai dining experience.

Yelp
Nestled in the Mission area of Fremont, CA, R Haan Thai restaurant is a charming hidden gem that whisks you away on a delicious culinary journey through Thailand. This cozy, family-run eatery may be modest in size, but it's absolutely bursting with the bold, authentic flavors of Thai cuisine, all served up with a generous helping of love and smiles. Upon entering, you're immediately enveloped by the welcoming and warm ambiance that only a family-operated spot can provide. The service here is as friendly as it is prompt, ensuring your dining experience is not just delightful, but also wonderfully efficient. Though you won't find alcoholic beverages on the menu, R Haan offers a delightful selection of drinks to perfectly complement your meal. The Thai Ice Tea is a particular highlight, offering a sweetly refreshing counterpoint to the zesty dishes, while the green tea is a soothing choice, known for its health benefits and making it a perfect pairing with Thai cuisine, and also my favorite! During my visit, I indulged in the Pad Thai and Spring Rolls, both of which were simply divine. The Pad Thai was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, with just the right amount of sweetness and tang, while the Spring Rolls were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely bursting with freshness. The dishes at R Haan Thai restaurant speaks volumes of the family's commitment to their culinary roots, offering a truly authentic taste of Thailand crafted with the freshest ingredients. Whether you're a Thai cuisine aficionado or a curious food lover, dining at R Haan is an experience that will not only satisfy your cravings but also warm your heart. In a city filled with dining options, R Haan Thai stands out as a must-visit sanctuary for anyone in search of a cozy, delicious, and authentically welcoming meal. So, the next time you find yourself in Fremont with a yearning for some tantalizing Thai food, remember that R Haan awaits with open arms, and ready to fill your stomach with tasty food!

Yelp
3.5 stars rounded up. We always are hoping to find a really good Thai place. I know we have some biases since my husband and in-laws all are from the restaurant industry and cook really good Thai food lol. This one seemed promising. Cute cozy restaurant vibes. Great for casual and date night I think. We ordered for take out but the folks working were very nice! Pad Thai chicken - we have high expectations for this dish. Haven't found a good one yet. It was okay. Not bad but not quite good Pad kee mao- not bad! Hits the spot. Nice slippery noodles but medium spice wasn't that spicy. Tom yum noodle soup - got mild which was not spicy at all. Pretty tasty. Hit the spot. It came with rice noodle. Not sure if you can sub for egg noodles. Which is usually our preference. But solid choice! Overall a nice neighborhood Thai place, think they're getting their liquor license soon based off the sign outside.

Yelp
My husband and I just ate here for lunch about 1 hour ago. The food was delicious and beautiful!! We both enjoyed our lunches immensely. Why 3 stars you ask? Well, here's a lot of info, but necessary. It went right through us. We had to rush to our hotel and get to a bathroom asap. Proceed with caution is my recommendation. We enjoyed it, but it did not agree with us.

Yelp
Reasonably solid but the textures could use some work. Got a pra ram w rice, crispy roti, and mango soda. The pra ram was inadequately sauced and the broccoli with it barely cooked. The peanut sauce itself was separate so there was some thickness to the sauce on the top but a liquidy mess underneath. You'd want a little bit of a richer gravy from pra ram usually. Also the dish was a little low on flavor and spice. Crispy roti was really great - ideally the sauce could have been thicker. Mango soda was delicious - highly recommend - never had anything like it. Very refreshing. Food comes out very fast - you could make a quick meal of it.

Yelp
The food was great and the staff was attentive and frequently checked in and topped off our water. Prices were fair and the portions were generous too.

Yelp
This was the highest rated Thai restaurant in Fremont with an average 4.4/5 star (at this time of the review) so we decided to come here and we instantly became a fan as soon as we walked. We love getting greeted at first sight because that usually sets the tone that everything will be good or at least good service to say the least. We ordered 2 Thai tea and 4 plates, the shrimp egg rolls, chicken wings, shrimp pad sew ew and crab fried rice. Long story short, the food exceeded our expectations!!! I haven't had Thai food THIS amazing in years. The crab was very generous in the fried rice (to my surprise) and it was made with REAL crab!!! Everything was so flavorful and it makes me not to want try any other Thai restaurant ever again lmao. This is truly the best Thai restaurant in the area!!! The service was good too. They were very attentive and so nice!!! We were holding hands on the table and the lady broke it up by putting the plates down in front of us and we all laughed so hard haha. 10/10 for amazing food and service!!! I want to come back and order the exact the same but also dying to try their other items too!!! I will be back!!! Edit: I forgot to mention it's a smaller restaurant with a few tables so the setting is pretty fancy and intimate. The bathroom is SUPER clean!!!

Yelp
This is definitely one of, if not our favorite, Thai restaurant in Bay Area. It's an intimate, cozy Thai hole-in-the-wall that you should definitely try! The food is authentic, delicious, fresh and has lots of flavor. The menu has so many options but don't miss on the crispy roti. The prices are very reasonable especially considering how generous they are with the servings. So tasty! What we ordered: - Crispy Roti - Khao Soy - Pad Thai - Crispy Pampano
