We went to Ra Sushi for lunch. It was very good. My cousin had California rolls and a Bento box. I ordered the Spicy tuna rolls and salad. The salad had a ginger soy dressing. It was tasty. I also ordered the salmon teriyaki bowl. I hadn't been to Ra Sushi in years. But the food was so good, we definitely returning 😋

I’ve been coming here for years and Haylie has been one of the best servers I’ve ever had hands down! She came regularly through our table and made sure we were good and situated. The food was amazing! I’ve been here during the week and it’s been a little off, but this time we came on a Sunday night and everything hit the spot! They’re currently doing happy hour on Sundays from 3pm until close so that saves us a few bucks as well. Really recomendaron coming in a Sunday night!!

Very friendly staff, the restaurant was clean in front, and overall the food was very good. The pricing was much more expensive than what google maps shown per person. They do have some items that you can get away with spending $20-30 per person but for a full meal you should expect $60+ per person. Great place for a date night if you want sushi nigiri or ramen.

For rolls, the Viva Las Vegas Roll is an absolute must-try; it's a signature for a reason, blending unique flavors and textures that keep you coming back. The freshness of the fish is consistently top-notch, a crucial element for any sushi establishment, and RA nails it every time. Beyond the sushi, their cocktails are truly innovative. The Blushing Geisha is a deliciously refreshing concoction that perfectly complements the meal. And let's not forget the happy hour—it's legendary for a reason, offering incredible deals on both food and drinks that make a visit even more appealing. The service is always attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Sushi was really good and Garlic edamame too!!! I do recommend the sushi name crazy monkey !!!Also my server recommended the special Paloma drink (orange) really good!!! We were outside wonderful view!!! Definitely coming back!!! Ra Sushi is a vibe!!!

Came here on a Tuesday night to redeem my husbands birthday voucher and was served by Vinh. He was good, attentive and friendly. Food came out beautiful. We only ordered one meal but he made sure to bring out a little extra to accommodate the both of us which I thought was nice and very appreciated. We enjoyed our experience.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice in the past few months, and while the food is delicious, the service has been consistently disappointing. Both times, it was slow and off-putting, which made me feel unwelcome and made the experience less enjoyable. That said, the food itself is good! The sushi rolls, soups, and side dishes were flavorful and well-prepared. For two people, we spent around $60, including fountain drinks, which is reasonable for the quality of the food. The atmosphere is elegant and adds to the dining experience, and the restaurant is pretty clean overall. While I love the food, I’m not sure it’s worth enduring the slow service. If they could improve in that area, this place would be top-notch!

This place use to be THE SPOT! It's certainly on the decline unfortunately. Tables, plates and dishware just don't seem clean. The host stand was really unsightly with delivery boxes everywhere, not to mention no one was there to greet. Food is average but there are better sushi places. What can you expect from a chain? Price was crazy I had a roll and a miso soup and some gross tap water and my bill was $30 Last few times I've come I kick myself like why do I still give this place chances lol Sorry RA! Ick

Great location for a night out or date night. Loved the ambiance with low lighting & outdoor seating patio. we actually had reservations for indoors & they told us they only had outdoors but they quickly were able to seat us indoors but took a while to be attended for our order. But the lady was very nice & had great recommendations for drinks in which were sweet and flavorful. The food was great! And would definitely come again

Good, But Disappointing This Time. I've always been a fan of RA Sushi and have had great experiences in the past, but this last visit was disappointing. The restaurant was almost empty, yet we were made to wait 15 minutes to be seated. When we were finally seated near the door, I politely asked to move, and the host rolled their eyes--which was frustrating, considering there were at least 100 empty tables and only about 20 other guests in the entire place. Service was incredibly slow. Our appetizers alone took 50 minutes to arrive, which completely changed our plans. We had originally intended to order a full meal, but after such a long wait, we decided to eat elsewhere instead. I've always loved their happy hour in the past, so we'll give it another try next year and hope for a better experience.

Spicy Crunchy shrimp tempura roll was delicious and the service was great. Great after work happy hour spot. The ambiance was dark but the people were friendly.

An amazing happy hour! It definitely worth the wait. Sushi hand rolls are amazing. I got a spider hand roll and omg, get it! The spicy salmon hand rolls are my favorite. The bartender with the glasses is my guy! Ask him to make your drinks if you can and Tre the server was very attentive and informal. Go eat here you guy! You won't be mad.

This is in City Centre so your biggest enemy is going to be finding decent parking. They're located on the second floor so just follow the building and you'll find it. It seems a little more casual than the original location. The service is decent and the food is good but the portions are pretty tiny. I got a seared Tuna Salad and it was the size of an appetizer. Also, considering that a cold front had just moved in and it was in the 40's and dropping outside, they seemed to have the air conditioning on so I just wanted to get out of there to get out to warm up.

Tip: Sign up for The Hook Up for $20 bday certificate! (Good for Mon-Thurs only and non-Happy Hour items)!! Learned this on a Sunday night lol but great service anyway :)

RA sushi has a couple of locations I went to the City Center location this is located on the second floor above Urban Outfitters near HopDoddy. RA Sushi has variety on sushi, bento boxes, ramen & I tried all these options. The sushi is great flavor, doesn't disappoint. The appetizers & bento boxes are great options as well very good sizes & filling! The only item I was not a fan of was the Ramen, flavor was not there, noodles were too thick not typical ramen noodles. I did not personally like the ramen here, I'd stick to sushi & everything else! Interior is very clean. I have been to the River Oaks location and this is very fancy. Consistent with cleanliness, service is great at both of these locations.

My have things changed. I came for lunch today, and there was no or at the host area. So, instead of continuing to wait, I decided to just seat myself at the bar area. After waiting a little while, my waiter comes and asks me what I wanted.....I had no menu. I looked at him and asked if I could have a menu first. He said, " Oh yeah." Then left to get one. I asked... isn't it lunchtime? Could I please have THAT menu? He said, "Oh, on. Sorry. " Leaves to get the right menu. I wait maybe 3 seconds to look it over and was about to order, then he did he'll be right back. I am left there for the next 10 minutes alone. I'm annoyed and admittedly at this point in HANGRY, but I'm composed. The manager comes out... stands by the back office opening, LOOKS at me, and does nothing. After another, maybe 3 minutes, I look for SOMEONE and ask them if I could have the server. The guy I spoke to looked around and then conceded to just take my order himself. He told me he would pass it to my server. Now... I've been waiting here for an additional 10 minutes. I ordered a steak teriyaki bento box. They always send out the miso soup maybe 1-2 minutes afterward. I had to ask... again... the bartender who had no customers if my order was actually processed. He said yes. Then he said he would go check on it. Mind you, I've seen my server maybe 3 separate times during this and he had not ONCE came to check on me OR come to confirm with me that he had, indeed, processed my order to put me at ease. Nothing. Bartender brings me out my miso soup. ANOTHER 5 minutes later, I see the server assigned to me. He has a bento box in one hand and fried rice in the other. I was guessing that it was someone else's order. Nope. Not completely. He PASSES me, and my area goes to place the fried rice on the table, then walls AALLLLLL the way back to then deliver my bento box to me. I'm pissed with ALL pissivity. Amid allll the rooky mistakes he had made THROUGHOUT my experience, I still chose to give him grace. My extended grace was met with complete apathy and no apologies. The scores here are consistently on the decline, and it's QUITE apparent why. And YES... my food was warm. Gag.

Great selection of foods and sushi. The dark lighting and music really helped with the atmosphere, as they played a good selection of music. The service was also very good our server, Brendan was attentive and timely with our orders and refills. The atmosphere also gets very lively at happy hour, it's a must see!

We came on a Wednesday night at 10:00, so maybe we did not hit the restaurant at their best moment of the week. It was our first and definitely last visit to RA Sushi. Ambiance is decent. Service was average. Here is a bullet list of the things we did not love. 1. The old fashioned had no cherry and no orange rind - this is a first for me on a $16 well drink 2. Spicy crispy rice had puréed tuna on top - should have been whole slices 3. Chili Ponzu Yellowtail Roll had great chili sauce, but roll had too much rice and not enough fish - rice was poor texture 4. California roll and many other rolls are filled with Kani Kama crab mix which is cream cheese like and takes away from texture of roll 5 waiter was super friendly and up beat, but never took anything off the table - left the menus and all dirty dishes.

I was so excited to find a Sushi spot not too far from my house and found myself at RA Sushi. A few friends decided to have our holiday outing on the perfect night! There was Live music and our server Tre was so polite and patient with us and all our questions and even helped take pictures for us. I definitely plan on making this location my go to Sushi spot and Happy Hour headquarters.

Ra sushi is always a win especially for happy hour . Went to this cute spot for a sister date and we ate sooo good . Our waiter was absolutely amazing and super sweet . We had a nice view of the town center and did i mention happy hour was on a Sunday WINNING .... Rather you're a sushi girl or not i definitely suggest trying them out at least once ...

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here for my birthday meal!! $20 off isn't bad :) Thank you Ra Sushi for being one of my top birthday meals. I ordered the Naughty Toro roll. This is a torched roll, which I don't think I've had before. The server told me it was one of his favorites. I always wonder if they just say that to get you to order something expensive, but I really believed him after I tried it! It was one of those meals where you're sad when it's over, and I defintely was. It had halapenos and torched tuna on top. With my favorite basics, tuna and avocado inside. You could definitely taste the flame broiledness (not sure how else to say that) of the tuna. Delicious!! I also had the pork gyoza - happy hour price which is $6.60. Not a bad price for 6 pot stickers!! Also, I came on $8 Margarita day, and I got the passion fruit. Didn't get to take a pic, but this was also delicious. I definitely lucked out today! I am a Korean American and loves this place because They have fresh sashimi and go chu jang( Korean style spice sauce) Plus varieties of soju. Typical Japanese sushi buffet never has soju or go chujang sauce. Highly recommend if you want to try authentic Korean crusine and sashimi. Plus Sashimi is thick bite size not like chopped up pieces from buffet.

10/10 a female manager waited on my family & me. We had 3 toddlers. She was extremely patient and extremely kind from the moment we walked through the doors. I live in the city and Ra is a go to for me. But being able to bring my out of town family here and have a great experience meant a lot. Thank you so much!!

Jordan was an amazing server today he made everything so easy and comfortable with ordering! The food was great and I'd definitely be back!

(Waitress) Angie was great. Jasmine(cleaned the table) had great customer service. The food was just ok. Honestly...there wasn't much seasoning at all. Lol I used to live in Houston so I insisted on going to this restaurant. Well...idk it didn't live up to what I expected this time. The atmosphere is always the same. No big frills. It's pretty. The hostesses are all pretty. You can tell they use the same makeup artist and it's nice! Lol

Service is extra slow. An hour in and all we have is water. Don't come if you're hungry. Also, food doesn't all come into at once. They just stagger and feed half the party while the rest sits and watches waiting for food to come out. There was a hair fried into my Vegas Roll chip and they tried to say it was part of the chip. The short ribs were extra hard and chewy. Extremely dissatisfied. Music is annoyingly loud. Can't even hear the person sitting across the table from me. Food is not worth the money. It's not what it used to be. Over priced drinks. An old fashioned with regular cheap ice like they were serving a cheap fountain drink. Definitely do not recommend.

The food is delicious and the waiter Sander is very nice. He is attentive to the customer. The setting is amazing!

We ordered a Smoky Salmon roll, Mango Lobster roll, Lobster shrimp roll, holy crab roll, and Tobiko. The food was tasteless and the rice was overpowering. The taste was very similar to grocery store sushis. I think the HEB's sushi is better tasting! The Tobiko tasted bad we decided to not risk it. Very disappointing! Our server was Diago, he was amazing and the only reason our experience was not terrible!!

This place is embarrassing. We were just in here for an hour, and literally ate with our hands in front of all the staff because we weren't even offered napkins or silverware / chopsticks or anything.... And for that price?? They were making cocktails adding and trying things as they went with multiple people making individual drinks... would've been better off at fast food.

The restaurant had their a/c broken. Which I flatly believe they just did not want to lower the temperature to save on their light bill. They had fans all over the place, so this is clearly how they run their business. This is not humane treatment of their customers, nor is it right to run a business like this with little a/c. If the a/c is truly broken have it repaired stat and close the place until it is fixed. Food was meh. Not sure if it is in proper temperatures since they do not have proper a/c.

The food was great, I loved the wagyu sushi and the drinks were great, the watermelon o e was fine Liked it.

Been here a handful of times and before my last visit I probably woulda gave more stars, but this time was pretty ehhh, the rockin roll tasted totally different and not in a good way honestly, the roll with the lotus chips also was pretty bad, chip was stale which i couldnt understand why they definitely can be fried to order instead if using from the day before, service was whack, waiter was barely attentive, and we had only orderd three rolls and it took about 20-25min for them which was also crazy bcuz they were not busy, and i could tell, working in the restaurant industry myself i could tell management was not existent that day. Idk if ill be back but if i am hopefully they have improved

Our first time here, and omggg the food was incredible! Our server, Minh, made the ordering experience so easy with recommendations and the manager, Derek, made sure everything was perfect and gave us chocolate mochi for my daughter's birthday! Thank y'all for a great night

Ask for Camille to be your server! She's efficient, friendly, and welcoming. We did not have to ask her to refill our drinks or to clean our table up. Food was amazing 10/10.

I came here once before and had the the sushi, it was really good, but I wanted to try something different. First off our server was awesome! I wish I would have gotten his name, but he was so nice and super helpful. Inside it's really cute and clean. They also have a really nice patio to sit on. We started with the lobster spring rolls which were very different for a spring roll since they were deep fried but we liked them. I absolutely loved my Salmon Teriyaki Bowl. The dish was full of flavor and the salmon was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had the chicken and shrimp hibachi. I tried some of it and truthfully I was not a fan. The chicken was dry and under seasoned. Also, they served a weird mustard sauce with it, which I was not a huge fan of I was expecting a mayo based sauce and I think it would have elevated the dish. Overall, I would come back but I would definitely get the sushi!

I was visiting Houston on business. I've had sushi in many restaurants across the country and my experience here was excellent. My server Nelson was very helpful and made good recommendations. Manager Silvana was attentive and took the time to talk with me and took an interest in my experience and job. I highly recommend RA Sushi Bar.

The food and service were amazing!!!! Jason is a fabulous server and has the best recommendations. He also took great care of my daughter's prom table at the same time as our table, and I loved how enthusiastic he was about having a bunch of teenagers. I will definitely be back!

as a bartender/server at a steakhouse, i've never in my 10yrs in the restaurant industry have experienced this horrible and disrespectful service. im not one to ever complain about ANYTHING, especially about someone's service, i understand, servers are tired, have bad days, but its never the guests fault and we are taught that. we where not greeted nicely, didn't get a name, nothing. we where never asked ONCE how we where doing, how our food was, not a single "you're welcome," "enjoy" nothing. all of our food was slammed in our table, and nothing picked up. his airpod was in the WHOLE entire time, we had to repeat ourselves MULTIPLE times. it was super slow that we where so confused why our food was taking soo long, maybe short staffed on kitchen? i understand. it took us 30 minutes to spot out our server in the entire restaurant so we could ask for our check. when my partner and i go out to eat, we go out to eat to SPEND money, younger people are taken the impression of "not tipping" but that should never be the case. our servers mood switch up quick as soon as he got an older couple, i was observing to see if we where the problem but i told my boyfriend that its okay, server having a bad day, lets not let it get to us and enjoy our food. i was no where near going to leave a single dollar tip, i tip by SERVICE, this could've easily been a $40+ tip how i always do bc again, i work in the restaurant industry. people go out to these restaurants to spend money, to drink, on VALENTINES WEEKEND. ive been going to the Ra sushi on westheimer for years and always spend more than $200+ and have a great time. we wanted to give city centre a try because we where so tired to drive far and have always heard bad reviews about this location, but unfortunately everything was right. from service to management, letting your servers walk around with an airpod in is ridiculous. our server had the AUDACITY to ask us "was there a problem today" after we left him $0. his name was nelson. ive never left $0 at a restaurant before and i wanted to leave $5 at least because i felt bad but it wasn't until he made a remark and said "$0 on a $140 tab is crazyyyyy" listen as a server, you know what you're working for from the very beginning you greet your table, it was truly so sad we had to spend our money like that.

Brendon was awesome. Great time with great friends. Food was awesome and the service was amazing.

Jason was amazing! His service is top-tier and his recommendations could not have been better. I love his tips on drinking the sake. Tristan was training with him and was also very kind, polite, and attentive. They both made for an unforgettable and authentic experience. We will be returning!

As a local Houstonian, there are tons of great places to dine. Restaurants pop up every other week. But RA I will say has been consistently enjoyable for yearsssss. It was a staple back in my day (especially the reverse HH). I recently dined in and was immediately reminded of how much I loved this place. In part, I find it nostalgic. The other side of that is the variety of food and beverage options as well as great customer service. Shout out to Gabby and Jason for being charismatic and super attentive! Definitely returning!

Went here with my girlfriend to have a birthday dinner. It was absolutely delicious. Some fatty tuna nigiri, broiled a bit on top. Was very rich. 8/10 Snow crab rolls / spider roll was great, 7/10 I also had a shrimp tempura roll/ ultimate that had some tuna on top , it was also pretty good. 8/10 We also tried the chicken skewers , they were glazed with some tangy teriyaki sauce. 7/10 We tried the garlic ramen too! it was very warming and filling. 8/10 The birthday dessert was some fried ice cream, a nice treat to end the night. 8/10 We tried 2 different sakes , peach and regular. She didn't really enjoy the peach 5/10, but the regular sake was nice. 7.5/10 The service was great, except!!! One of the people that clear the tables didn't ask me if i was done with a plate that had some sauce for the sushi after our server told me it pairs nice with our sushi and i was clearly enjoying it still. He took it away so fast and went to the other side of the restaurant. He also took my water that was still full with liquid and ice and i then had nothing to drink. The food was good!!! The Ambiance and view is nice , we got the table we wanted (near the window) , the table my girlfriend wanted for her birthday :) so the 3 stars is for the food and the table. Our server was very considerate of my first time experience at this restaurant, My gf had been here before she mentioned. Not sure if i will be back to spend another 100$+ dollars , given the service i received. However i am glad my gf enjoyed her meal and we had a nice evening dinner. -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

We got such a great service with Jason and his trainee Zoey! He took care of us so well!! Honestly best experience ever. I would always get the same things but I tried all his recommendations and honestly I have been missing out !!

Food was great! Many different varieties to choose from. My server was Nelson and he was hands down one of the best service I've ever gotten. I definitely recommend to ask for him as your server if you're looking for an attentive and enjoyable experience. I will no doubt be coming back here.

Food and atmosphere was nice but everything else is unacceptable. Took 5-10 minutes to seat us at an almost empty restaurant. Table, dishes, and napkins were dirty, literally had soy puddles in preset dishes. Crumbs and cup rings still on table. Waitress was nice enough but very absent, also blamed dirty dishes and table on dishwasher. Not impressed, won't be back or recommend.

Went for lunch & it was AMAZING!!! Their lunch menu has tons of options and perfect quantities. All of the managers were very welcoming!! It's a perfect spot in city centre for quick mid day lunch break - away from busy corporate meetings.

It was my family's first time at this location and we had an Great experience, the ambiance was fun, the food was super yummy we loved the rolls and apps, and service was great our server and a manager, Roman dropped by several time to check on us as well even with it being a busy night. We look forward to coming back
