So the store is cute as per some other reviews, that much is true. I guess for me the wine selection is the more important factor though, which I regret to say is more “interesting” than good.
Thought I went in for a safe bet and bought a bottle of burgundy but it really did not taste right. Gave the store three more tries, as I want to support local, small businesses but sadly I never managed to find anything I liked.
As someone who lives down the block, what’s worse than some sour wine, is that they let the same guys play/sing VERY loud music, or what sounds a bit more like sound practice, outside the store every single Saturday. It goes on for hours and hours and hours, on an amplifier, and it’s always the same songs.
I very much appreciate that the owners want to support the local community and invite/highlight local musicians, which is absolutely fantastic, but if that is the case, they really should give a few other musicians a chance as well to be fair. Furthermore, it would be more respectful to everyone living here if they turned down the volume a tiny bit and limited the time to an hour or so given that this is in the middle of a residential neighborhood? I have to wear ear plugs and can still hear the screaming from my bedroom where I am trying to rest on one of my few days off.
