"Adding to the quickly growing empire of Radio coffee shops, the latest Rosewood location is taking over the former Try Hard Coffee on East 11th Street. Like the other two locations, the menu features coffee, cocktails, beer, and wine, plus a full food menu from Shortwave Diner." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

Great time at this location. I wish it still had the Try Hard coffee shop vibe, but the atmosphere here is still great. I got a speciality coffee and my gosh it was so sweet - but I didn’t ask any questions to see if this was gonna be a good choice. The breakfast sandwich was fantastic. Excited to come back!

Really into the vibe here. It’s a great place to get some work done. I respect what they’ve done with the design, taking it over from Try Hard. There’s a steady buzz of digital nomads in flight. Music is present, but not distracting. Radio’s design features a darker, more rustic color palate with slightly dimmer lighting; yet, enough light in the front and back to brighten things up. Seasonal coffee menu is interesting - the spiced oat latte was on point, not too sweet. The breakfast sandwich was good enough. I’d get it again just because the aioli was interesting, though not something I would crave and specifically come back for. Service was solid, as well - friendly without being OTT. It’s early days, but seems they hire good people here in general. Y’all should definitely give this place a shot!

June 2025: A tiny spin-off of radio coffee down south, this is a little satellite. Mostly coffee shop but also have mixed beverages and the like. And even CBD or THC beverages, mildly surprising! There's some snacky snack food and sandwichy sandwiches. Had the: CAFE DE CACHAPA. $13 Amaras Mezcal, Elote Liqueur, RCB Cold Brew, Cream This was a delightful caffeinated beverage, not too heavy on the booze which was actually great for the moment. -- Excellent, cold brew, Smokey, delightful. There were a couple of baristas/, both the guys seem chill and cordial. Had a seat in the corner. It took them probably 7ish minutes to make the beverage, and sat and had a chill moment while enjoying the cold brew mezcal before moving on about my evening. Parking is pretty easy as you're not in a stupid populated area, you can probably just get on the street or nearby for free.

The frozen drink options were nice and the atmosphere was on point. It's a nice spot to meet w/friends to chat over some drinks (music was loud though)...but I was surprised after ordering the single patty smash burger that tomato, onion and lettuce is not included and was charged 0.50 for each. The kitchen staff fee that another reviewer mentioned was applied and signage for it is shown at the register....but it's clear with these fees that I'd rather stop by for a drink but maybe snack/eat elsewhere.

J.D. was our bartender at Half Step when we first moved to Texas last year. He was so inviting friendly and amazing at his job. you can tell he’s passionate about crafting cocktails… it showed with each cocktail as well as in his personality… being in the restaurant industry my whole life it really was nice to see. radio rosewood is very lucky to have him! i hope he gets paid for what he’s worth. because of him we have been to radio rosewood and will continue going there. if you go visit this spot, ask to try his homemade bloody mary mix!! 10/10!!! it taste so fresh and satisfying.

Love that they have options for everyone! Drinks are yummy from the lattes to the cocktails. Food is always good and fresh. Wish there were outlets though 😭 come with your laptop charged and you’ll be solid!

After searching for the perfect coffee shop to call home, I’ve finally found it—Radio Rosewood! This charming spot checks all the boxes and then some. Love people-watching? Their front patio is the ideal perch to admire the lively scene on 11th Street. Into great vibes? They’ve got fantastic music, beer on tap, mixed drinks, and the coziest chairs for reading or relaxing. Need some peace and quiet? Their spacious outdoor patio, adorned with a vibrant mural, offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Radio Rosewood is truly a good addition to our eclectic community.
