The Best Coffee Shops In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"Another reason to love Canal Saint Martin: Radio Days. It’s where the cool kid Parisiens come for specialty coffee made with beans from local roasters, and stay for the milk chocolate or dark chocolate za’atar cookies and the jazzy playlist. If you don’t get your coffee to go and opt to sit outside in the sun on the canal, post up inside at the blue counter." - tanisha townsend

Google
My absolute favourite café in Paris! The team is super friendly, the cookies are delicious and the coffee is fantastic. I'm a big fan of their cold brew, especially in summer! They are also very knowledgeable about coffee and can advise you on which coffee goes with which machine and they also grind it for you :) I'm already looking forward to my next visit! :)

Google
Neighborhood coffee shop near Canal saint Martin and decided to stop in with the boyfriend for coffee : cortado and cappuccino. Unfriendly service at the counter, the barrista didn't apply himself whatsoever as my cappuccino tasted like no coffee but oatmeal milk. My partner's cortado was like black tea and not good at all. Don't bother going!

Google
Cool coffee shop, with above average coffee, service is pleasant. Quality of experience can vary depending on who is working and how busy it is. Difficult to go wrong with coffee in this area of paris but certainly is a place I go back to regularly.

We go here twice a week not only for the addictive halva latte but also for the cool vibes and friendly staff. ❤️❤️❤️

Google
Aalways appreciate the warm welcome from the owner and the consistently good coffee during the week. Strangely, the weekend experience is quite different, the service feels indifferent, almost as if customers are a bother, and the coffee tends to be of noticeably lower quality.

Google
Beautiful spot with a very kind and accommodating owner. He knew how to prepare green tea perfectly, using the correct steeping temperature and removing the teabag before serving so it would not burn. I will be returning!

Among the many coffee shops around Canal St Martin, this one truly stands out for its welcoming vibe. The coffee is consistently great, the cookies are delicious, the music is nice and the staff is super friendly, you can easily strike up a conversation with them while soaking up the sun on the terrace.

Yelp
This cafe is off the Canal Saint Martin, which is obviously a great location. I was just wandering around the neighborhood to try to find a good place for a coffee and breakfast when I wandered here! Coffee was delicious and I had a cinnamon roll which was to die for! The place was very quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend coming to this place for a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. I walked by and saw people using computers, which was what I needed to be doing! Unfortunately, the place didn't have wifi (and I needed to do some work in my email), so I had a coffee and cinnamon roll and left to find another spot to do my work. But if you're more free with time (or have work to do without needing an internet connection), I definitely recommend chilling here!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. I studied abroad in Paris for about 5 months (in 2017), and I lived 2 blocks away from this coffee shop. It was my ultimate favorite place to come grab some coffee, and I would stop by weekly. The owner is so kind, and would speak to me in English, without hesitation! (My French is awful!) LOL Not only is this location perfect, but the coffee is divine! I loved getting the iced vanilla spiced latte (my favorite), cold brew, or matcha latte. If you're ever in this arrondissement, I'd for sure check this local coffee shop out. It's quaint, good food, and amazing coffee. I loved the interior, and I cannot wait to go back and take my fiancé here! GO HERE!

Yelp
Small and friendly specialty coffee place near Canal St Martin. Do not expect typical French pastries here, like croissants. Instead you can get Zaatar rolls and scones! Staff are friendly and can speak English if you need.

Yelp
Again, very rare to find a take away coffee joint in France. I got introduced to this place through an airbnb experience tour. They have a special vanilla spice latte that I got to try. WOW, very impressed with the taste and the latte art. They do have smaller (Parisian) portioned sized cups but the coffee is always stronger so it's worth it.

Yelp
Thumbs up! The owner is really passionate about coffee and everything is made into perfection :) really exquisite lattes, and chocolate chaud is simply awesome! People work, read newspapers, take outs---a lovely ambience and everyone is very respectful and quite!

Yelp
Perfect flat whites The space is great- relaxed & cool, awesome decor & they play awesome music. Let's not forget the wonderful, friendly service to top it all off! We will definitely be back. :) We didn't try the food but the menu was mighty tempting.

Yelp
Just near Canal Saint Martin and in a cool neighbourhood. Coffee is great and they do a Flat White. The cafe has a hipster feel with vinyls playing and a very friendly host Beebo, who was kind enough to go into English to explain the make up of their Flat White.

Yelp
What a sweet little addition to the cafe scene by the canal st martin. Even though the space is small, it's super well designed, not stuffy and the owners aren't freaking out trying to calculate your every move in order to jam pack new customers inside while you chill. I was actually quite surprised that they didn't make me squeeze closer to my neighbors to fit some extra chairs in to accommodate a small group. I appreciate that (but secretly worry about their chiffres d'affaires). I swung by on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a delightful couple of hours chillaxing with a delicious homemade tisane blend of lemon, ginger and wild sage (4E) and a fabulous banana and flax seed cookie (1E) while listening to a podcast episode and knitting---I know, how very bobo of me! I definitely want to return for their savory tartines and salade specials for lunch and to grab more of those home-baked desserts as that cookie was just divine.

Yelp
A filtered coffee that is actually not overly acidic. A bit pricey (4 euros) but worth the good cup of joe in a fun neighborhood. The owners were also baking in the early afternoon so come then if you'd like to have cookie smells to compliment your coffee.

Yelp
This place is the best! I heard this place is special and it didn't disappoint when we were there in Feb (i know it took me a while to write this review.) The coffee is carefully crafted and so delicious. We came in as a group of 6 for lunch with family and friends and were instantly charmed by the interior of this cozy cafe. Bibo suggested a number of dishes from the drool worthy menu and we loved everything, carrot cake here is especially good. Can't wait to be back here soon!

Yelp
What an absolute beauty of a cafe! Everything from the ambiance to the staff to the delicious coffee was five stars! Inside its small but intimate and has a really nice summer day feeling to it that would make you want to stay there forever. A friend of ours even picked up the free to play acoustic guitar and started jamming. The staff more than encouraged it as they gently clicked along to his tunes whilst serving up some sensational beans! Inside there's enough room for about twenty people but there's also benches on facing out on the street. The staff seem to take pride in what they are doing, I watched them as they swirled the milky mix on to my Cafe Au Lait and then presented it to me as if it were a new born child. The taste was supreme, enough of a kick off the beans without it being overpowering and the perfect hear to enough straight away! Bravo Radiodays - next time I'm in Paris I will be back!

Yelp
Really friendly owner and great coffee (and music). When I mentioned I was going from Paris to Berlin, the owner made a list of coffee shop recommendations to visit, which was awesome (and the list checks out).

Yelp
Exactly what I needed. Good cup a coffee (had the flat white) on a cold rainy Parisian day. Got a couple food items to go and ate them back at our Airbnb. Poached eggs could have been a little more runny in the yolk (love me some runny yolk on potatoes), but this could entirely be that they continued to cook a little as I walked them back to our bnb (food is almost always better at the place). The pancakes and fruit were exactly what you'd expect. All and all very good and I'd definitely grab a cup of coffee to go from here in lieu of Starbucks or other chain.

Yelp
Great coffee shop, excellent coffee, good pastries, fast wifi. The only downside is that it's pretty small and so can be hard to find a seat.

Yelp
Really nice coffee shop in Paris. The staff are really friendly and the shop is very inviting. There is a guitar that a friend was allowed to pick up and play which was pretty cool of the baristas. Coffee is great, nice thick crema head on my black coffee. Food looks really great too. Nice friendly stop-off from a pretty hectic day in Paris.

Yelp
I'm not too familiar with this neighborhood so when this place came up as a suggestion, I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. If your visiting Paris and know limited french then don't worry because they do speak English here. Coffee is fresh and flavorful as well as the baked goods. If you have the opportunity, pop in for twenty minutes and take in the flavors as you people watch.

Yelp
Awesome little place!!! We had some great coffee and some awesome house-made granola and yogurt. And the guy who runs the place is really nice (and a hard worker), and he speaks English very well. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Love this place! It was located right down the street from my airbnb and it's the perfect place to enjoy pastries, almond milk lattes, and even study if you have some reading or work to do. Their pastries were super fresh and I believe they use all organic ingredients. Super trendy spot to hangout too! Good vibes and good coffee are everything!!

Yelp
This is a cute cafe with good coffee and simple meals. Very small space but cozy. The portions are not huge but perfect for breakfast. I had a great yogurt with granola which was a perfect way to start my day. If you are North American, this is probably about the closest you will get to a café that are like ours if that is what you are looking for.

Yelp
Great coffee choices. Delicious food. Small but has a nice clean open vibe. Tasteful records playing

Yelp
A beautiful cafe tucked away on a side street off Canal Saint Martin. The coffee is smooth, the fresh pressed juice fresh AF and the owner super sweet. Perfect way to pass a rainy afternoon.

Yelp
I came by with a friend to buy a snack but we arrived just after they were closing up shop. As we walked away a server ran out to us and gave us each a free cookie ! I can already tell the staff is very friendly :) Will come back soon ! The place looked adorable. The cookie was delicious too !
