Radisson Blu Hotel, Lyon

This hotel was very unusual in a sense that its reception wasn't at ground floor rather at 35th floor and just like its images online, it's a circular shape. Our room was on the 38th floor and wow what a view!! It was a wonderful two-nights stay. A beautiful bar with a magnificent view of the city was on the reception floor as well. Don't miss out on have a nightcap! The rooms were comfy and the bathroom was well equipped. The hotel is situated right next to a huge shopping mall which that by itself needed a day on its own. The staff were very polite and friendly. One negative point about the hotel was its parking. Yes the hotel offered parking but unfortunately it didn't have a direct access to the reception (on 35th floor). You'd need to first get to the ground floor of the parking by the lift, then walk a bit on the sidewalk where seemed to have had the drunks passing by during the night and ...... (smell was awful) and then get to the lifts inside the building and then taking it to the reception floor. It was a turnoff on arrival and departure!

Excellent location, close to shopping mall. About a 15 minute walk to the old town, but close to public transport.|Nice clean rooms, and lovely view from the 30 th floor. English was no issue.|Breakfast was ok! Could have been better for the 25E we payed.|Good wifi and major cc accepted. |Overall, it was good.

I found the location, the staff and amenities ideal for my recent five day stay in Lyon. The restaurant, bar and breakfast options were all wonderful and I was vert pleased with the courtesy and helpfulness of all the staff. The room and my view very lovely and it was overall an enjoyable experience.

I was fairly disappointed by the hotel which is a shame as I’d read really good reviews. Me and my partner visited Lyon for my birthday, and upon arrival we were advised they’d given away all of the double rooms and only had twin rooms left, which was disappointing as I’d booked a double room, not a twin room. I feel that if you’ve booked a type of room then they shouldn’t overbook for that option and give them away on a first come first serve basis, especially when it’s a more expensive hotel.||Check-in was super slow also, we arrived at 9pm after a 7 hour drive and was waiting for a very long time for someone to be available.||The room itself was amazing, with electric blinds, and views over the city. The bed was very comfortable too.||The restaurant was ok. The staff there were friendly, but it just felt like a cheaper food hall, not as advertised. Food was tasty though.||The lift situation is also strange. Reception is on the 32nd floor, and the lift from the ground floor doesn’t access the rooms. So if you’re coming in you have to get a lift to 32nd floor, then get out and get in to a different lift to your room.

Not worth €50/night let alone €200/night. There was a 30 minute queue to check in where the staff lady was very rude. She then demanded €50/night deposit on check in for the minibar, which was empty. There are 2 bottles of water that appear complimentary but are false advertising and are €6 each. I'm currently in a superior double bedroom. This is not superior or double, it is two single beds pushed together in a tiny bedroom with mediocre mattresses. The hotel is next to a shopping centre but it is a bad area in general. Overall, terrible experience. I'm glad work is paying for this, not me!

The hotel is ideally situated close to the train station. It is next to the Westfield shopping centre which offers everything you need and some excellent food choices. The hotel is spotless and has very friendly staff.

A rare high-rise hotel in Lyon, the rooms are a bit small. We took the RhoneExpress airport express (available before 24:00) to the Part-Dieu railway station at night. Even then, we could reach the hotel through Wetfield Mall from the railway station. The breakfast area faces west and can see Mount Fourvière and the old town, so we asked for a room on a high floor facing north. The old gentleman at the reception was very polite and said he could upgrade our room for free and took the trouble to accommodate our choices. The hotel is located in a somewhat morden area, and the surrounding atmosphere is not as elegant as the peninsula area where we stayed the next day. There is a Bocuse indoor market near the hotel, which we visited. There is not much discount for the hotel's breakfast if you order it in advance. You can order it when you arrive. There is pickled salmon for breakfast, which is quite high-grade.

First impression matters. I stayed here a few years back. So I returned for a 2nd time as it was near Part-Dieu train station. The checked in staff seemed impatient. When enquired info on Lyon card, she just cut me off and attended to a lady behind me. This hotel does not have a concierge desk for info. My encounter with other front office staff was ok. The housekeeping staff needed some retraining, too. It seems to slack when over the stay. I must compliment the breakfast staff in-charge. He seemed to breeze through the process, greeted every guests and made sure the buffet spread was filled and help needed at the drink station. That is the deepest impression other than the view on the 32nd floor.

A very nice hotel. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and view of the city of Lyon from the hotel was wonderful. Breakfast was very good and had lots of varieties. We stayed in Lyon for 3 days and so after having a good breakfast in the morning we were able to go sightseeing with energy and without feeling hungry till late afternoon. Customer service was good. There was construction going on and this hotel entrance was in a one way street so we had to drive couple of rounds before getting into the hotel parking. Overall a nice hotel and would love to stay again.

Located within a walking distance from Lyon train station, convenient location as walk to the old town was 20 mins. Front desk is located on the 32nd floor. Rooms are from 33rd to 39th floors. Depending on which room you get, view could be fantastic. My room view was just okay but I enjoyed a nice view of old town from breakfast restaurant on the 32nd floor. Really tall building, easy to spot from far away. Room was adequate. Bed was a bit too hard for my liking but they were clean. Rather small room but good enough for just one night. For those traveling with a large suitcase, may have hard time opening a suitcase. Service was excellent, very friendly and professional staff, speak perfect English. If my travel brings back to Lyon, I would stay here again
