Excellent customer service - they took our order by phone. All the food was delicious. The catfish for the poboy could've been more crispy but still delicious. Seafood platter and the Catfish Redosta were Chef's Kiss!🥰🤩Will definitely go back!

Found this place from TikTok. From the time we walked through the door the service was welcoming, engaging, and friendly. We ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy, Muffalada and a 1/2 order of onion rings. Our food was so good and OMG plentiful. We will definitely visit again.

Radosta’s is an unassuming restaurant located at the center of a neighborhood. When you walk in, it seems like a convenient store with a deli almost, but then you notice there is a full bar. We ordered all the food in the pictures, including my favorite beer, and shared it family style between 3 of us. We can eat a lot, but we couldn’t finish all of it. So, so good though. Best po boy I’ve probably ever had. The Cajun gravy was top notch. The woman behind the register and the woman at the deli counter were insanely nice. The epitome of southern hospitality. Will absolutely be back!

First visit today. Enjoyed the roast beef po boy, the chicken and sausage gumbo, and seafood gumbo. Everything was fantastic!! Definitely go visit! You won't regret it!

My coworker and walked in it was very busy but the hostess was the mostest making sure our table was clean! Gave us complementary drinks i assume for the wait. As we walked towards our car a very handsome gentleman yelled my name and ran to give me my cheese fries and to have a nice day!!! Haha The shrimp was huge and fresh! Well worth the wait! Staff made us feel at home, above and beyond and good lookin to boot!

LISTEN !!!! Some of the best food I’ve had ! That hot sausage po-boy is undefeated, the best I ever had !! It’s most definitely the hottest for sure. The fish & shrimp were fried to perfection. All the food was amazing and cooked fresh to order. The customer service was amazing, 10/10 ! I highly recommend this place. They deserve lots of recognition and exposure. I’ll be back for sure !

I haven't been here in 30 years. I'm now living in the neighborhood where I grew up. I was really wanting a good roast beef po boy. My Mom asked if this place was still there. I told her it was and it used to be really good. We ordered 2 10" roast beef po boys and they were nice enough to put the gravy in little go cups with lids so my sandwich wasn't a mess when I got to eat it. I could tell I had a couple of serious sandwiches just from the weight of the bag. My Mom and I were delighted that they are just as good , and stuffed, as they ever were. This is not debris roast beef. The bread was fresh. The 2 sandwiches fed me, my Mom and my wife. They could only eat half of the half they each had. I'm a big eater and just barely finished mine. It won't be too long until I treat myself again to this little gem tucked all the way in the far end of Metry. The lunch plates are my next target.

Radosta's Po' Boys has so much going for it. The people working here are incredibly friendly and my roast beef po' boy was absolutely stellar. When I was driving there, it seemed to be in a residential neighborhood and parking b was a bit tight, but walking in, the staff made me feel at home and the ambiance was definitely relaxing. They are known for their roast beef po' boy and after a single bite, I could see why. It was worthy of its legendary reputation.

Radosta's is a must visit if you're in Metairie. The roast beef po boy (their specialty) is delicious. We also had a bowl of their chicken and sausage gumbo, the muffuletta and cheese fries. All excellent! Warning - the muffuletta serving size is huge! Service was quick and the casual environment allowed for a quick lunch in good company!

Went today for lunch did not disappoint we were greeted at the door and shown the ropes as it was our first time the wife ordered the catfish poboy it was delicious I had the burger it was awesome definitely fresh ground meat and the seafood gumbo was delicious.The environment was very welcoming and extremely helpful.We will definitely return and tell our friends.It reminds you of the old poboy shop days!Very nice experience!!Thank you Guys!

FANTASTIC!!!!! Our first time!!! It's a little neighborhood bar/grill. We found it while looking for a mufalatta (sp). Which was HUGE, and that was just the HALF!!! Wife could only eat a 1/4!!!! I had their specialty the roast beef po Boy!!!! It was really good!!!! Get the onion rings --- AWESOME!!!! HUGE rings, battered just right!!! Beers were good also!!!

Every thing on their menu is delicious. Old time stop and shop with really good food. You know it's good when everyone in there is 65+. The employees were nice and helpful. We got the club, the shrimp poboy and mozzarella sticks. All delicious! We will be back for sure. Oh! and they have soft drinks in glass bottles. Perfect with a poboy!

Outstanding 50 year old Po-Boy restaurant in Old Metairie about 3 blocks into a residential area off of Metairie Road and the RR crossing. I had a very Shrimp Po-Boy and my friend had the largest soft shell crab Po-Boy we have ever seen. Delicious and extremely friendly service. Original Owners still work here. It is worth finding this little local truly neighborhood restaurant.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch while shopping in Metairie. I had the soft-shell crab 7" poboy and a cup of chicken andouille gumbo. The gumbo had a very dark roux and small bits of chicken and sausage. It was good but not exceptional. It needed salt and Crystals. It was served with crackers (my choice) but they were stale. The crab was fried in a corn-flour batter and had a nice flavor. I added lemon juice and Crytsals. The bread was fresh and wasn't tough. I ordered it loaded which includes, shredduce, tomato's and dill pickle slices plus a heavy layer of real mayonnaise. It all came together well and was very filling.

I didn't take photos but this place is great. I love the tradition fried fish poboy and the fries (you can share them there's plenty) the staff were nice and helpful. Great place to get a bite while you are in town.

Great poboys! Very tasty. Good bater on the soft shell crab. Fresh French bread. Definitely recommend. Staff is friendly too. And, they had live Astros game playing on their TVs! Unique bread pudding that was really tasty too! Nice atmosphere. Shell on one of soft shelled crabs too hard, couldn't eat. Prices are a little high.

Place has unfortunately fallen off since the new owners. Similar to reviews below, placed a to-go order and waited the stated 20 minutes. When I got there wasn't terribly crowded but food wasn't ready. 30 minutes later food finally came out. Live less than 3 minutes away and food was already cold when I got home. Cheese on the poboy had coagulated like it had been sitting awhile. Medium fry for $4.50 was one of the smallest orders of fries I've seen. Maybe it was an off day for them but for a not busy Saturday lunch seems odd. Used to love this place.

Funny story, while trying to find parking I asked a gentlemen who worked at the city park for guidance and we got to talking. He mentioned Radosta's and said we had to stop there for dinner, they had amazing food. So, after a long day of sightseeing, we pull up at 6PM and worry that with only an hour, we would be rushed or turned away, NOT AT ALL! The owner Robert listened to our tale and gave us recommendations of the items on the menu we would most enjoy. We put all of our trust in him and sat down. The first thing to arrive was a hot bowl of seafood gumbo that was the best we've had in the city so far. Thick, full of flavor and seafood, we'll take a gallon next time! Our next two plates were the Creole and catfish, but in-house recipes that absolutely did not disappoint. My lady and I actually switched plates halfway through just to enjoy both meals. It's easy to pass by this unassuming storefront and never know how good the food is inside. It's laid back inside, beverages are all self service, and they other diners that came in left satisfied with their meals. If you are in the area, stop in and give it a try. They have a large selection and I'm happy we had the best seafood on our trip.

The food was delicious and the prices were great. It's a small, neighborhood restaurant and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We started talking to the owner about the Greg Deichman jersey behind the register. We will definitely be going back!

So I heard they recently (or maybe not so recently) changed owners but the food has remained the same. I posted online asking what I should order for dinner if I live in old Metairie and Radosta's what the winner BY A MILE! I had eaten there before but the people spoke and I followed and once again, was not disappointed. Employees are wonderful and friendly. Food is reliably delicious. Order what you want, it will be good! Oh and their fries are done to a crispy perfection.

Been to Radostas a few times on a recommendation and it's everything you want in a neighborhood corner store. Very good food, folks are friendly. Just reminded me of an older time when I was a kid.

Came back for some take out and service is beyond friendly and it no longer smells of cigarettes. The owners wife aa the cashier is wonderful. Great neighborhood place!

Rob and the crew do a great job on all the food but im partial to red beans and rice with hot sausage patties made in house with a shrimp poboy. Tough to beat-- keep it up!

Driving around the Metairie area looking for a po' boy place and saw the good ratings. And they were well deserved! It's a little unassuming spot on the corner with kitschy decor. We were a little confused when we entered but the cashier directed us to the back counter. It looks like a deli counter with a bunch of signs of items on the menu. We were greeted by a friendly guy and then an even friendlier guy greeted us and gave us the highlights of the menu. They have so much to choose from, and we wanted to try everything. They had plates or po' boys. It was lunch so we ordered po' boys. My son ordered a meat extravaganza po' boy, I had grilled chicken, and the husband got sausage. We all loved it. The po' boy was stuffed! They come in 7" and 10", and to be honest, my 7" looked just as big as the 10"! The chicken was chargrilled and so juicy. It was so good. I could only eat half of it. The bread was bomb. Soft and toasted. I love bread and I had no issue with it. And service - everyone was so nice. Not sure how it was before but we had a perfectly pleasant experience! We had originally gone to another po'boy place and it was closed today. And now I'll never know how the other restaurant is because we will be going back to Rodasta's and try all the items on the menu!

Have been here three times since moving nearby. You might think that the third time would be the charm, but it's 3 strikes you're out. Food has been uniformly bad. The French bread they use is like rubber and is not toasted before making the sandwiches. Today I placed a pick up order and was told that it would be ready by 1:00 PM. We ordered two of their roast beef poor boys that they claim as their "house specialty". I arrived at the restaurant at 1:05 to find out that my order hadn't been placed yet and had to wait 30 minutes. I had placed the order through Door Dash for pick up and it seems no one had confirmed the order. How long does it take to put roast beef and gravy on French bread? Once again the bread was too rubbery to chew and the beef was cut with the grain, making it stringy and tough. There was little gravy on the sandwich and it was tasteless. The beef was barely warm. Not very impressive for a "signature item". I know this place has changed ownership a while back. It seems that current ownership is content to coast on their previous reputation without doing anything to maintain quality and consistency. Needless to say, I won't be back.

ROAST BEEF PO BOY!!! Just get it. It legit melts in your mouth. If you've ever watched some of the shows on the food network where they visit 40 /50 year old establishments owned by the same family, off the beaten path, completely unassuming on the inside (like you wonder if you're in the right place...) THIS IS IT!!! It's like a throwback in time, city workers, construction personnel, locals, tourists, all sit next to each other digging in! We also did the red beans and rice as it was a Monday, and they were fabulous .... SO GLAD we venture wwaayyyyy off the beaten path for this gem that's as unique as it appears !

The gumbo was pretty darn good! I had the catfish bites and it was very ok. If you need to order something for your kid cause that's all they like, just make sure they have a condiment. The service was non existent. They guy who took our order was nice, but it's the kind of place you order your food and then there's no interaction with the staff. The setup was interesting. It's a connivence store, but they do have tables to the side to sit. There's also a random bar, but we went during the day and it wasn't open.

Enjoy the food! No better food than homemade specialties. Will definitely stop there again when I'm in the city.

Radosta's is a classic, local restaurant in Old Metairie! I've been here a few times, and the staff is always so kind and friendly. This place is full of locals; it's not touristy at all. I got an oyster po'boy dressed, and I really liked it! I also ordered some fries, and the fries were pretty soggy--I would recommend trying a salad or mozzarella sticks instead.

Late lunch...second time and brought son along cause we thought we had found a real neighborhood gem. Second time sucked: red beans had been nuked and the home made hot sausage was inedible. Burnt and the spices were so over the top that I could not finish even one patty. The fellow had bragged about how good it was but we left thinking never again. Worst is son did not even try more than a few bites. Wish I had asked for a discount. Not sure how they have the good reviews. So many other places to eat.

I stopped in one day and got my food to go. There was no one else in the place the entire time aside from the cook and cashier. I ordered a meal that had fish with a white sauce, possibly topped with crab (not much) & I can't remember if it was a special or if it was on the menu. The flavor was exceptionally bland and even adding salt wasn't like it made the taste any different or better. I was really looking forward to the bread pudding but didn't even eat most of it because of how much I didn't like it. This place just didn't do it for me with the way everything was tasting unfortunately. I feel like this place probably caters to a crowd of an older generation and what they have been accustomed to for the majority of their lives. There's nothing wrong with classic things but I personally feel like maybe that's why I didn't enjoy the taste of everything.

Great Service. Cool attitude. The Gentleman that provided suggestions made me feel at home. I wish I was local, but it was a great experience as the first restaurant that I stooped at while visiting NOLA. Thank you for the experience.

The Hot Sausage poor boy is a transformational experience. Ownership has changed but, if anything, the sausage is now somehow hotter. Five stars.

We had a roast beef poboy, an oyster poboy, a smoked sausage poboy, and a kids catfish basket. Everything was great. The roast beef poboy (with cheese, fully dressed) was the best food I had in New Orleans during our trip. The bread was so good we asked the woman taking our order where it's from and she told us. We asked if they sell to the public, and she said she doesn't know. She came back a few minutes later, and said she had called the bakery to check for us! Since the bread isn't sold to the public, she then recommended bakeries from which to buy bread for our homemade poboys. That's the level of service here! The oyster poboy was the best oyster poboy I've ever had, they do something different to the breading than I'm used that put it over the top. The kids loved the smoked sausage poboy and the catfish basket. Extremely friendly, great food, and a cool, small neighborhood place. 10/10, check it out.

Such an adorable neighborhood restaurant with bar. Walking in you feel that homey warmth like you are gonna see a familiar face. Order at the deli counter with the most friendly lady one could hope for. Answers all the questions you might have with a smile. Do not pass up the most tastiest onion rings I've had in awhile. Large and battered thicker than any I have seen before. Eggplant plant park n a bun, still could only eat half. Don't forget a thick delicious cup of seafood gumbo to really feel like fall is near. Well worth the price. Old school vibe for sure.

Great food and great service. Very relaxing environment and perfect for our kids for dinner. Great kids menu and tons of options for anyone. The onion rings were too think for my liking but they were very good if you like them like that. My kids loved the noodles with shrimp and the cheeseburgers.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. Wow is all I can say. Got the gumbo to start, perfection there. The right amount of spice, shrimp and rice, just perfect. The combo poboy of turkey, ham, roast beef and melted cheese was the kind of thing you hear about, but never actually get. It surpassed any expectations I had! Extra gravy was heavenly too, amazing flavors. All in all I could not be happier, and to boot, the service was prompt, friendly and very helpful. Highest recommendation!

Tried this local old Metairie restaurant for the first time recently. I was excited to order their hot roast beef sandwich. I can't classify the place exactly as a restaurant because it seems almost like a old grocery store turned into a diner without a diner counter. However, the place reminded me of so many mom and pop poor boy shops in St Bernard parish where I grew up that made great sandwiches - I was very hopeful that I would enjoy my meal. The service was great and I could tell the other diners who were eating something different than me were really enjoying the meal - hence my giving them four stars even though I cannot recommend their roast beef sandwich or rave about the meal that I ate personally. Nothing to speak of regarding ambience, but again it was nostalgic in that the restaurant was reminiscent of my youth and eating lunch at "the corner store" or "deli". Unfortunately I can't rave about the hot roast beef po-boy. It wasn't that the roast beef itself was not well cooked or of high quality, rather it was the spices they chose and way they made the gravy that I found odd and disappointing. When I order a hot roast beef poor boy I expect the gravy to be rich with beef flavoring and a nice brown coloring. Unfortunately, this restaurant chooses instead to use Cajun type seasoning in lieu of creating a true brown roast beef gravy. As I was eating the sandwich, I noticed that the drippings on the paper inside my little sandwich basket was pink instead of brown which I thought was odd. When I opened up the sandwich I realized why is a drippingness were that color. It was obvious that the roast beef was covered in some type of red powdered seasoning, I'm guessing some type of Cajun seasoning. Some people may really like that taste, but for me it is not a traditional New Orleans roast beef sandwich without the true beef brown gravy. I'm not in this part of Old Metairie that often, but a friend lives just down the street. Next time I go visit her I plan on trying this place again, I'll just order something different and hope that an alternate sandwich or meal will be better.

Wandered off the path on the trip to New Orleans because this place came much recommended. It's located very close to the Jefferson Parish lines on a quiet, unassuming neighborhood. Their interior like is evident in pictures uploaded by other Yelpers is also quiet, unassuming and doubles up as a store. Plenty of locals and there are TVs with the football game on, so it's very much a down home neighborhood joint, and that's who they aim to cater to. You place your orders at a counter in front of the kitchen, grab your drinks from the storage at the other end past the tables and a friendly staff member will bring your food to you. And when I say "friendly" I do mean it. Every one of them is full of that famous Southern charm that I still cannot and will not get used to. It's everything you think of when you think "family business". I decided to go with two of the more famous options on the menu (even though every fiber of my being was screaming to try out the "Liver cheese") because I like to judge a place on their favorites, and then come back for the rest the next time. I got the Roast Beef (advertised as their most famous offering) in a 7" bun and a 1/2 Muffuletta. I started (which may have not been the wiser option as I will expand later) with the Muffuletta, the bread of which was crispy, and the cross section of the sandwich showed perfect slices of ham, salami and cheese, topped of course with the pickled olive salad (which is the best part). Absolutely no complaints on this, it was everything I wanted. The Roast Beef reminds me of chopped Italian beef which is popular among the Italian joints of the Midwest, which might be the point because the Radostas are also of Italian stock. The beef was perfectly marinated, with a slllliiiighhht kick and juicy. The last bit may have been a bit of a problem. It was so juicy that by the time I finished one quarter of the Muffuletta, the bottom bun of the roast beef sandwich was soggy. Either I should've eaten that first and as soon as the sandwich hit my table as the staff expect it be eaten, or the bottom bun could've been crisped up a degree to offer resistance to the juices, or have something to layer to hold the beef. Being so tasty and the business so popular, I'll just accept my bad on this one and just eat the beef as soon as it gets to my greedy face :-)

I'm a Poboy lover, and this place never disappoints. The food is always fresh, consistent, and served in a Mew Orleans, family-friendly atmosphere!

I sure hope my roast beef poboy is Great since I ordered it 50 minutes ago and it still isn't here ! I did see one table of 4 leave already. Not sure I'll be back even though it's less than a two minute walk from my house.

This restaurant was categorized as Italian. Nothing Italian only Cajun. It's located in a residential area with limited parking. It's small and cramped, very noisy. Tried a variety of food was really disappointed with everything and extremely long wait for food that was not made to order. Staff was friendly, service was chaotic. Lots of locals were here that's the only reason we stayed to try the food unfortunately that was a bad decision.

My daughter and I went to this neighborhood gem for lunch today. It's a great little family restaurant. Everyone was so warm and friendly. The menu was full of Louisiana favorites along with an assortment of soft drinks, beer AND Hubig pies. We both got a roast beef po-boy. Oh my goodness, it was delicious! The bread held up to the fillings with just the right amount of sloppiness. The onion rings were nothing short of perfection with thick slices of onion fried up golden brown. There was no restaurant designated parking. I would imagine parking could be a challenge during peak times. On a Saturday afternoon, we had no problem. I highly recommend Radosta's and can't wait to go back!

An amazing place in an unexpected (residential) location. An official "must go" on my NOLA visit checklist. Maybe the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. The gumbo is amazing and the oyster and shrimp poboys don't disappoint.
