Counter-serve eatery specializing in falafel sandwiches, burgers, and other comfort food dishes.
"The falafel recipe at Ragadan crossed generations and oceans before landing in Uptown, where Jordanian flavors come through in this Mediterranean-meets-Midwest shop. Chef Danny Sweis and his family bring well-executed dishes like the falafel ka’ak sandwich from home together in impressive harmony with American staples, such as the Oklahoma onion burger (one of the best burgers in the city). Above all, against the backdrop of family and tradition, Ragadan serves an incredible experience — full of warmth, quality, and tasty joys." - Alex Jewell
"Ideally, we’d love to eat Ragadan’s excellent falafel, egg salad sandwich, and Oklahoma onion burger with only our best friends. Or, by ourselves. But this Jordanian restaurant is also good for making a meet-up with Ex-Roommate No. 4, whose name you still don’t know, a little less painful. This counter-service spot in Uptown is fast, casual, and doesn’t really warrant much lingering after you’ve made it through a burger and a whole conversation while avoiding saying your friend’s name." - adrian kane, john ringor
"Ragadan is an “American falafel shoppe” in Uptown with a slew of great options that all fall below the $10 mark. There's a variety of Middle Eastern dishes as well as twists on American classics, like a juicy burger with za’atar mayo. We’re constantly struggling to choose between the refreshingly tart labneh egg salad sandwich, or the one with crispy falafel and hummus that’s so silky we should probably add it to our skincare routine. Most people stop by this small, casual spot for takeout, but there are also a few tables and counter-seats." - john ringor, veda kilaru
"This small counter-service restaurant in Uptown has a Jordanian menu full of great falafel, labneh egg salad, and baklava—but they also have some great burgers. The best one—the Oklahoma onion burger, was supposed to be temporary. But it remains on the menu, proof that the world hasn’t completely gone to sh*t. The quarter-pound patty is generously seasoned, and topped with sweet caramelized onions, gooey American cheese, and a housemade za’atar mayo that should be a staple in everyone’s fridge. Many people are often just stopping by for takeout, but you should grab a seat there and eat this immediately." - adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
