"There are a lot of bars and pubs in Ocean Beach but there’s only one with a New Zealand-themed menu so expect a few dishes, including a burger, featuring lamb. A highlight is their classic New Zealand meat pies with a blend of ground beef and lamb." - Darlene Horn

I went to Raglans yesterday to try their Cobber Chop't salad. It’s romaine, chicken, bacon, egg, tomato, cucumber, avocado, blue cheese crumbles, pita bread, and ranch. Wow! This was definitely a salad where I enjoyed every single bite and then purposely used the remaining pita slice to wipe the plate clean getting every last bit of goodness. I can’t believe how good everything has been at Raglans that I’ve tried so far. I’m also loving their indoor remodel. The booths are a wonderful addition to gave a more of a private dining experience while they still have open table seating too. I just signed up for their ‘Burger of the month club’ where at the beginning of each month they’ll send you an email introducing you to their newest Burger of the Month. You’ll then receive a complimentary ‘Burger of the Month’ coupon to use with the purchase of another burger, entree salad, or entree. What a great offer! I wish I would have known that before yesterday. 😁 But now I have something each month to look forward to. Update 2: Yesterday I finally tried Raglan’s well talked about yearly “monthly mainstay of the month” for November. It’s their special Thanksgiving Sando. An oven roasted turkey, brie cheese, stuffing, cranberry jalapeño relish, mayo, sourdough bread and a side of gravy. After two big bites I was thinking, “dang, this sandwich is pretty good”. Then I realized one of the bigger fry dipping sauce wasn’t for the fries but in fact it was the gravy for the sandwich. I started pouring on the gravy with every bite. It instantly went to DAYUMMMM status!!!! In my opinion this sandwich went from a 4.3 out of 5 star rating without the gravy to then a 6 out of 5 stars with the gravy. It was an amazingly balanced Sando with gravy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 Don’t sleep on this sandwich or you’ll have to wait till next November. I’ll definitely be getting a couple more before the month ends. *it’s enough food to split with a friend as I took half of my order home to eat later for dinner. #rphturkeysando Update 3: Yesterday I was excited to hit up Raglan Public House to try out their well talked about fish and chips entree which is a New Zealand classic beer battered haddock, thick cut fries, coleslaw and I was blown away! It was possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was a perfect crispness on the outside and juicy on the inside that then just melted in my mouth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend! Seeing that it was Feb 1st, I had to also try their new Burger of the Month for February which is the Meatloaf Sando. It’s meatloaf, mozzarella, cheddar cheese, spicy fried onion strings, house pickles, garlic aioli and spicy tomato chutney. This burger was super flavorful and soft to bite in to. They definitely have a home run with this burger! These two plates fed two people and still had a lot of food to take home. On my previous visit I had signed up for their Burger of the Month club and yesterday I received an email informing me I was eligible to get one complimentary Burger of the Month with the purchase of another burger, salad, or entree. So basically, I bought the fish and chips and got the burger for free. What an awesome deal! Update 4: If you’re looking for a little restoration in your life then you’ll definitely find ‘The Cure’ at Raglan Public House. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yesterday I tried The Cure which is their daily brunch homemade biscuit, gravy, tots, scrambled eggs and the choice of fried chicken, chicken sausage links, or bacon (I went with fried chicken). If you’re looking for biscuit and gravy, this is a winner! 🏆 Absolutely delicious! It was hard to photograph how much amazing food was on this plate. I’m guessing there were maybe 4 fluffy eggs that were scrambled hidden underneath what was photographed. This plate could easily be shared with a friend as I happily took half of the serving home and ate it for dinner. All I can say is that the biscuit was perfection, gravy… perfection, fried chicken… perfection, fluffy eggs… perfection. Yeah, this menu item was a home run and something I would highly highly recommend!

I was quickly seated when I first got here and had plenty of options between inside and outside seating. I got the swordfish sandwich with the tequila drink and wow!! The fish tasted so fresh and was the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The food also came out fast and was hot! The server was nice but gave me plenty of space while eating my food. I’d define you recommend this to someone looking for good food and a relaxed environment.

I was craving a burger and this place did not disappoint! Their happy hour sliders (happy hour until 6pm) are really delicious and a good way to try a couple of the burger options at a smaller size. Lamb, beef and chicken were great! My boyfriend enjoyed his IPA, served in an ice cold glass! And the half baked cookie dessert - YUM!! The staff were really friendly too! I’ll be back!

Google
Great vibes, delicious food. Perfect brunch spot. Burgers are solid and steak tamale benedict was perfect.

Delicious! The whiskey drink, the beer, our burgers, it was all great. Such a cute outdoor seating area, loved the lights. They had heating lamps for the cold. Would definitely come back.

I can only imagine the atmosphere on a busy night. The gentleman behind the bar was great and I sat at the end of the restaurant. Food was outstanding the dips made the pretzel, the Philly Cheese Steak was full of flavor. Just wished someone asked if I needed a refill on my Pepsi no Coke which was a bummer. Overall the food and atmosphere is top notch.

We had dinner on Thursday. Ordered onion dip and chips little bowl of dip and BBQ chips to hot to eat. $14 Then had New Zealand meat pie. Two little pies both cold with French fries with so much black pepper and spices I couldn’t eat them. Asked for a few with out pepper and received them well after we finished dinner. Took them home. $24. Beer and wife’s salad was good. Way over priced and food poor.

Yelp
5 stars for the food!!! Service needs improvement. They are pet friendly outside, they also have bowls for water for the dogs .

Yelp
I went for a walk at Ocean Beach with my Family and after we searched up Pet friendly restaurants on Yelp, we chose to dine in at RAGLAN PUBLIC HOUSE. It took us a while to find parking since there's only street parking, and it's always a very busy area 'coz there are so many restaurants to choose from to eat in this area. Plus, people also park here to go to the Beach. Our server came and handed us the menu and when I was looking at the Menu it was very similar to the  Denudin New Zealand Eats restaurant I found out that Denudin and  Raglan Public House have the same owner. Since the menu has mostly the same food from Denudin, it didn't take us long to order, we ordered: *LAMB SKEWERS *STEAK & CHIPS *CHICKEN POT PIE *STRAWBERRY VODKA DRINK I was expecting my drink to have a bit of a Strawberry flavor on it, but it had more Vodka in it, but it's still alright. My Son's STEAK & CHIPS was good, the steak was very tender and well seasoned , and he likes his salad too. For my LAMB SKEWERS, there were 2 lamb skewers on the one I got. One for me and one for my dog Bambam :). The meat in the skewers was seasoned and tasted like my Son's Steak. The hummus was just okay. Now my Husband's CHICKEN POT PIE was the one that gave us a problem, it was way too SALTY!!! Usually, my husband will just ignore a minor error on his meals, but this Chicken Pot Pie he couldn't even swallow it. I told him that he was overreacting and I told him to let me try. The moment that I tried it, I quickly spit it out!!! I apologized to my husband right away when I tasted his Pot Pie, it was really way too salty ! I called our server and explained how it seemed that they accidentally over-seasoned our Pot Pie with Salt. Gladly they made a new one and finally, my husband enjoyed it. Other than the Pot Pie issue and the parking, everything else is okay. The service is okay, the ambiance is nice, and the seating area has plenty of seats, especially their outdoor area. It's a Pet-friendly restaurant that's a walking distance to the Beach.

Yelp
Food is amazing and a broad enough anyone with dietary restrictions can eat there (even our super picky kiddos) Their service is lovely with delightful people. If anything is not satisfactory they work to fix it immediately. They've remodeled and the ambiance is bright and inviting. Check it out!!

Sheri M.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. We just had coxktails and an appetizer. Bartender was super helpful ND made the drunks custom for us. We had the cold brew martini with tequila and the carrot drink. Both were so delicious. Love that they have a selection, including additive free trquila. Calamari was very good with a sweet and spicy sauce. Will definitely be back to try more. Live the cute decor too.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m., and there was no wait. Parking can be a little difficult, but we got lucky. There was plenty of seating outside and inside. We stood at the front for a few minutes until we were greeted and brought to a table. We sat at a booth, which was pretty nice with 3 kids. They had kids menus with crayons, and what was pretty unique was that they had magnets the kids could play with. The inside wall was metal, so the kids loved putting the magnets on the walls while we looked over the menu. We ordered the wagyu smash burger, ahi burger, 2 kids burgers, and 1 Dino nuggets. All meals came with fries. The server also brought out kids' drinks that came with the kids' meal. All kids' meals were $10. They didn't have pricing on the kids' menu, so we had to ask. Our food came out fairly quickly, and we were ready to eat. The wagyu burger was very tasty, and the melted cheese with 2 wagyu patties melted in my mouth. It also had a little spice to it, which was unexpected. My wife really liked her ahi tuna burger. You can really taste the Wasabi mayo, and her burger was big. I think the only thing that would have made mine better is that my burger felt small. I ate it pretty quickly. I tasted the kids' Dino nuggets, and they were very good. They were seasoned well, and they weren't the Dino nuggets you get at the store. They looked like they had been shaped and breaded, then fried, which was pretty good. My kids loved everything and ate all their food, which is a sign that the food is really good. Service was okay. It took a minute for them to check on our table and bring us things. It wasn't busy at all, but with kids, it's hard to just sit and wait. Great spot, and we'll be coming back!

Yelp
Went to a late lunch on a Tuesday sunny ocean beach day. It was our burger of the month time so we had the corn beef sauerkraut, wasabi on toasted sourdough bread with melted cheese, and we opted for the two dollar up charge for onion rings instead of shoestring fries. we also saw the incredible lunch special of three burger choices for $15. I ordered the Wagyu smash burger with fries. It comes with a smaller size patty for the lunch special price, but it was perfect for me because I could actually put it in my mouth and I didn't have to bring anything home or feel overly stuffed. The bun was delicious And I put the wasabi cream sauce all over my hamburger instead of using on my fries and it was divine. I shared a Mexican chocolate stout with my son, and it was delicious. Our waitress was Tiana and she was very efficient and friendly, and our food came out just right and in good time. This place consistently gets five stars and I'm here every month. I'm looking forward to trying out the Northpark location and the newest location in La Jolla. Keep up the good work kiwis!!

Yelp
To start, I ordered the Tequila Drink. A cocktail that has true spicy habanero vibes. Seems to be hard to come by drinks anymore that are actually spicy, and this was perfect! At the recommendation of the bartender, Jeff, I also ordered the Bare Lil Lamb Burger (quite possibly messed that name up)... with a fried egg on it. I'm not big on fries, but those match stick fries and the sauces alongside it were addicting! The burger itself left a little to be desired for me, as it didn't pack as much flavor as I had expected it to. I am exhausted, so perhaps that played a part. I'd definitely come back here though to try some of the other items! (The burger was huge so I ate half and had to to go box the rest!)

Patricia U.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our waiter was kind, helpful, and swift. He helped us out with the favorites on the menu so we went with a lamb burger and the seared ahi tuna. Both were fantastic served on fresh, soft bun. The mint jelly on the lamb made it all the more. It was juicy and packed with flavor. The Chipotle sauce for the skinny fries was perfect with a slight kick. The ahi was falling out of the bun, loaded it up. Also a fantastic dish to pick. Ambiance was laid back, open air and the ocean breeze blew in nicely which added to the charm of the place. We will be back!

Yelp
Bellied up to the bar at Raglan Public House in vagabond heaven Ocean Beach last week for a bite of supper & a cold brew. The space is inviting warm and comfortable. Tunes are interesting. Plenty of good seats to sit back and relax. Food is kiwi based with the menu offering plenty of excellent choices. Devoured the Hogs & Heifers burger which was served hot & quickly. A can't go wrong burger that satisfies the craving. Washed it all down with a couple of fresh ice cold pints of lager. Service is vigorously top notch all around. The barkeep is professional efficient informative and friendly. Without a doubt, you can't go wrong dropping by this slop joint for food and drink. Stoner Grub Rank: 8.5

Yelp
Though a bit pricey and we had one kitchen hiccup, Raglan Public House was still an easy five stars. The food and drink were delicious and the hiccup graciously resolved. Service from our bartender Paul was outstanding. Four of us stopped in for a drink and a snack on a Friday early evening. We found a four-top just behind the bar seating. Paul was quick to our table for drink orders. The boys chose beer from the extensive beer menu $8.50/pint. An IPA for our friend, a Maui Bikini Blonde for me. The girls chose from the cocktail menu. "The Mule" (vodka, tequila, ginger beer, bitters, fresh lime) $13 and "Tequila Drink" (house infused habanero pineapple tequila, simple syrup, mint, soda water) $13 respectively. The girls loved their selections. So much, in fact, that they each ordered a second. Becky said the Tequila Drink was one of the best tequila based drinks that she's ever had. For food Becky and I opted for the Chili Garlic Wings $14. Our friends shared the Chili (natural ground turkey chili + cheese + corn, topped with jalapeño + red onion + chipotle sour cream, side tortilla chips) $17. The wings were fantastic! Crispy skin led to perfectly juicy chicken wings. The spice level was great. They had a really nice back-end heat to them. They were garlicky goodness for sure. Our friends experienced the hiccup with the chili. They order spoon-food often. Soups, pho, chili and such. They always ask for it to be extra hot as they often receive lukewarm food. That was the case here. Their chili was served lukewarm. They alerted Paul who was quick to rectify the situation. Honestly, we all thought they'd just nuke it and send it back out. Not the case. The kitchen made an entirely fresh batch of chili. It took a bit to arrive at the table but when it did, it was fresh and piping hot. It was served with a butt-load of tortilla chips. Our friends very much enjoyed it. For their trouble, Paul removed the chili from their bill. We definitely want to return to Raglan Public House.

Mike N.

Yelp
My wife was dying for a gluten free burger but really wanted surf and turf. We happened upon Raglan Public House and called to see what they may offer. The staff was super friendly and helped us figure out how we could make a delicious burger. She ended up with the smash burger and added a skewer of grilled shrimp and when I say it was a great burger, I mean she was BLOWN AWAY!!! I had the Queenstown Fave which was also delicious! The fries definitely hold their own but it was the tomato chutney on the burger for me! We will definitely be eating onsite next time, the vibe was very welcoming and a fun spot. Good music, unique decor and nice staff!

Megan D.

Yelp
This place is our favorite & has such a fun ambiance. Service is always good. The staff is genuinely pet friendly and even allow dogs inside. The menu is full of amazing items with Chefs that execute it to perfection! When I'm in OB this place is a must!

Grace K.

Yelp
The restaurant is unassuming looking, but the food was really good. I would go again. We went for a light lunch, and left wanting more. The Mac & Cheese was al-dente, not too soft, and flavored well. The lamb kabobs were seasoned well, and the hummus was delicious. Parking like many places in san diego is not easy. We parked a few blocks away but the weather was nice so we have no complaints. We would return again!

Camryn K.

Yelp
I came here with my family for lunch and ate outside. We ordered the lamb skewers and the Mac and cheese. The lamb skewers were super tender and flavorful, and the hummus was really good! I enjoyed the grilled vegetables that came with the lamb, but I thought that the cucumbers felt like an after thought and wished they were dressed. The Mac and cheese was also solid, and I liked the crunch that the breadcrumbs on top added. I thought the service was just okay, and they were slow to bring out our waters, however that might be because we ate out in the patio instead of inside the restaurant. But I would 100% go back here again, and I definitely would recommend!

Haley Y.

Yelp
Ok.... This place ... is... awesome! It's an extremely cool vibe inside and out and the food and service was excellent. They have a great bar area and TVs inside and a really nice outdoor patio with heaters and lots of tables. We ordered the E-Legal and I have NEVER EVER had a cookie and ice cream be this good. I lowkey still dream about it and I'm counting down the days until I can eat it again.

Alanna C.

Yelp
Wasnt expecting such great food from here! We got the fish and chips, but breakfast sandwich, and french toast. All were really good and well seasoned. Cocktails were also very good. The service was a bit slow but it was th weekend after Thanksgiving (so understandable if they were short staffed) and gave us time to catch up with our friend. Would he back if in OB

Meghan K.

Yelp
I get horny for their food. Sometimes I just look at the pictures on their Instagram and drool. Best service in OB. Relaxing ambiance. Creative online presence.

Chelsea O.

Yelp
Atmosphere is great location is great right near the beach good happy hour specials, service was good. Food is fair. Nothing to write home about. Overall great experience

Erica R.

Yelp
The portions!!! Big servings with big taste. The burgers were delicious and full of mouth watering flavor. The fish and chips were big and crunchy! The drinks were spot on! The price was high but great food and atmosphere. Service was outstanding and prompt. I recommend this place!

Sofia F.

Yelp
I want to give Raglans love, I've been going there for so long. there's only one food bartender. I won't name them in case they get fired... the management already talks sh*t about them for being awesome. they've changed a lot. lots of fancy stuff now but that means the food is more mediocre and more expensive. they won't help you if someone is abusing you at the bar. if you're a woman with a man, or just a man, they are more likely to serve you. I'm bummed man.

Valeria Z.

Yelp
The Caesar salad truly stole my heart. The steak was medium well because first of all, who knew it comes separate??? This salad is by far the best Caesar salad in San Diego. The service was good but I wish my waiter was a little less awkward but he seemed like a great guy. The place itself is beautiful with vines and surf boards and lights. If it's a girl dinner, lunch with friends or day after the beach, this place is amazing

Alex A.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service on top of amazing burgers. Also weekend breakfast burrito with $1 mimosas is super tasty!

Sara F.

Yelp
My absolute favorite restaurant we ate at in 4 days visiting San Diego. They got my entire family in on a Tuesday night (9 people) and we had so much FUN. Loud music, bar atmosphere yet family-friendly. The servers were so laid back and nice. With darts, sturdy wood tables and bar stools, this would also be a great date spot or a visit with a friend group. Umm and the FOOD!? It had no business being this good. Pretzel app was huge, enough for 4 to share, even better than the German ones in Leavenworth WA (I know, blasphemy). The dips are phenom. Burgers were unique, fresh and huge. Maybe the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Everybody left super happy. Thanks Raglan.

Anthony F.

Yelp
The Whisky Drink was made perfectly, plus the generic name they use is kind of cool. The Smashed Kobe Burger was moist, juicy and was delicious. I switched my side to onion rings (extra $2.00), glad I did, they were really good. The batter on them was perfect. I'm in OB visiting every so often, I will definitely try this place again. I was impressed with the food and the service from the bartender was superb.

Heather D.

Yelp
Great location Good service Good SoCAL food Have indoor or outdoor seething. Waitstaff was attentive Good selection of beer Got the onion dip (yum) and the swordfish sandwich (dry) Would definitely return. Happy hour has a good selection and prices

Joel C.

Yelp
Idk what happened to this place. It used to be awesome. My wife and I went in for lunch last Friday, 3/8 around 1:30pm. The sign at the door said "See Bartender for Seating" we went to the bar and the bartender said "you can sit anywhere outside if you'd like." So we went and took a seat outside on the Niagara Ave side patio, next to a table with a large party. After about 15 minutes, a waitress showed up to drop the check with the large party. After she finished up with them, she looked over at us and rudely said "no one told you to sit here. This section is closed they're only here because they have a large party. Instead of getting us a table she told us to go back in and see the bartender for seating. We ended up sitting inside. This should have been our cue to leave and go to La Doña or Noodle House, because after we took a seat inside, the waitress didn't come over to even take a drink order for another 10-15 minutes. Finally we got drinks and put our order in. We ordered a wagyu smash burger w/ tater tots and an "OB" Cheesesteak. The food didn't come out for almost 35 minutes. When it did come out everything was cold. It had most definitely been just sitting back there for who knows how long. The cheesesteak was awful. Huge chunks of fatty, tough, cold beef. I'm not even sure there was cheese on it. The tater tots were cold and hard. The bun on the smash burger was so stale and crumbly. For 2 awful sandwiches and 3 beers, we were bent over for $96 before tax, not to mention we got there at 1:30 and didn't leave until 3:30. The girls working front of house seemed like they were all zonked on something. We could overhear nearby tables complaining as well. Sad to say, because we used to love Raglan but I won't go there again and I'll try to keep anybody else I can away too.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Fantastic! Setting: best block of OB #nailed it. Atmosphere: charming, warm, shaded and welcoming. Waiter: friendly, kind, on top of it. Food: warm, crunchy, creamy, rich, and decadent with a kick. Beer: on tap and on point! I had The Cure with chicken sausage. The gravy was delectable with little bits of sausage mixed in. I couldn't stop eating the delicious tater tots. The biscuit was a little dry. Overall fantastic and full of flavors. My fiancé had the lambiliscious burger and said it was delicious. "Might have been all the beer I drank though". Either way he left with a happy belly and head. I've been wanting to come here agreeing hearing about it from family and after the big expectations it definitely hit the mark. But even more so because I didn't hear or see any of the traffic. It beat my already super high expectations!

Marianna E.

Yelp
I have been coming to Raglan since it opened 12 years ago, and I have never, ever had an incident where I felt unsafe or unwelcome. The food is fantastic, the staff is warm, caring and represents everything the OB vibe is about. Outstanding service at the bar from Corinne, Paul, Jeff and Kristie. When we sit outside, we are treated well by all the servers, Calvin is a gem. And Angie brings our food out with a smile and sweetness. I highly recommend Raglan! Get the OB Cheesesteak. I look forward to the holidays and the Turkey/Cranberry/Stuffing sando, and the current Chicken Parm sandwich is phenomenal.

Heci L.

Yelp
Walking distance to the beach. Street parking only. Plenty of tables and seating for any size party. Happy hour deal: slider and chips (literally, it's chips) for $. Slider looks small, but happy to find it was super filling! Great value, quality slider, good price. Ordered bare Lil lamb and hogs and heffers. The combination of flavors for both sliders were chefs kiss. If your dining partner is not willing to share, bare Lil lamb was the clear winner of the 2. Happy eating!

Shayal P.

Yelp
The lamb burger was delicious!!! I would also highly recommend getting the fish and chips.

Guy M.

Yelp
Came here for the first time a few weeks ago, loved it so much we came back! We love the food, service and atmosphere!

Jason B.

Yelp
Solid 3.5 stars.. Popped in for a sandwich and brew, both of which they have plenty! I opted for the patty melt, and it was cooked properly and came with house made chips. My bride chose the cheesesteak which was sufficiently cheesy and steamy, she seemed to enjoy it as I'm not sure I even got a bite! Ambiance is rustic cava, service was friendly though somewhat inattentive, prices were a bit above expectations...but we do live in a vacationland! I can't commit to an encore in a town filled with dives by the sea, but that shouldn't stop anyone from giving it a go...enjoy!

Cheyenne H.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this spot! I don't usually frequent OB but I would go back here in a heartbeat. On a Sunday afternoon, we were seated immediately on the patio upon arrival so our furry friend could accompany us, as well. The atmosphere was very chill and not too noisy. Tables are evenly spaced outside so people have room to sit comfortably! The flavor profiles of each dish were outstanding. I ordered the steak and chips with a Caesar salad and WOW! I have never gone somewhere and eaten fries but these were unmatched! I ate them all. No regrets. The seasoning on everything was so good but in case you wanted a bit more, there was a little spread of course sea salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to the side of my board to season to my liking (it didn't need anything, though)! The sauces were phenomenal, too! Every plate at our table was cleaned with no regrets. Another thing I enjoyed is not feeling sick after eating. Very wholesome ingredients were used and that was clear. Absolutely would visit again!

Ryan S.

Yelp
We visited Raglan Public House with a party of three on Monday, May 29th at about 8pm, after searching Yelp for a place nearby in a rather unfamiliar part of San Diego for us. Yelp did not steer us wrong. We agree with all of the positive reviews of this restaurant. We quickly found a seat, and a server came over in just moments. There is a rather simple and easy to remember drink menu. I had The Tequila Drink! I did have a burger for dinner, and it was absolutely great. I'm sorry I don't recall the name of it. It is not on the current website menu; however, the overall experience here was great! You do have to find street parking, as there is no parking lot; however, a quick look should find you a spot a reasonable distance away. (Oh my gosh, we at first used the private parking lot across the street. We went to the meter machine and they wanted $28 for two hours. We left and found street parking. $28 for two hours in the Ocean Beach Neighborhood is absolutely uncalled for.)

Heather F.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and the drinks were tasty too. Cheesy Grits were AMAZING! Fish & Chips, Lamb Hash, 2 different burgers made all of us happy. Enjoyed bloody Maria since it was brunch, my only thought was more "stuff" in it (only had one green olive). We all loved the music, gave the place a good vibe along w decor that was cool. Place was clean, including the restrooms. Service was friendly @ consistent.

Maha A.

Yelp
Gotta love how high quality the meat from New Zealand is! Anything on the menu is pretty reliable. Our burgers were juicy and flavorful- definitely come here instead of Hodads if you want a good burger in San Diego. Ambiance is very nice and chill with cute decorations. Our waiter was really efficient and I'd love to come and try more in the future. The New Zealand restaurants in San Diego have been awesome! I would only complain that it's a little pricey for a burger, but I guess that comes with dining in San Diego.

D.A. K.

Yelp
I didn't like Raglan at first because I was a regular at the place that was there before, but I've been meaning to update my review for a while now. It's still not perfect: service is uneven--sometimes great, sometimes bordering on lackadaisical. Depends on who is working. It's a good place to drink a beer and watch sports if you're looking for a good neighborhood alternative to a big chain. Breakfast has always been disappointing here. Overpriced for what you get. Now for the best part: Raglan makes incredibly good Impossible burgers and fries. It also has a very pleasant outside seating area. For a burger and a beer on a nice evening, you will be very satisfied.

Yelp
My experience at the bar was fantastic. Staff (I want to say his name is Kyle?) provided top-notch service and suggested a New Zealand-style lamb burger that was possibly the best burger I've ever had. I would definitely rate it 10/10 and recommend it to anyone. Plus, the variety of beers available catered to all tastes, making it a great spot for any beer lover.

Yelp
Late review, ate here with friends in July for the first time in a year or so. Staff is friendly and the burger was fulfilling. Sad to see the pesto mozzarella burger is gone. Bring it back! Always a good time here in OB.

Yelp
Love the vibe of this place. Cutest outdoor space to have a nice brunch. The lamb burger was perfectly cooked and went well with sweet potato fries. My dish was The Cure! It was everything I wanted. Biscuit, tots, fried chicken, gravy!! Oh my! Drinks were cold and service was great. Definitely be back!

Yelp
We waited for a bit for a table, but it was worth it. Service was friendly and attentive. The big soft pretzel was good - especially the cheese. My husband and I split the Thanksgiving sandwich. So so good!

Yelp
I give this place a 5! Great value. Our bill with several drinks was very reasonable about a 100 bucks: hard to do now a days. Super friendly staff, cool OB vibe a great hamburger and lots of beer on tap. Hard to go wrong! Place had been revamped inside making even a bigger joy. Been going for years when in town love it even more today!

Yelp
Oh my goodness, this place should have more people visiting them, more reviews, and should be the brand ambassador of Chicken Pot pie in San Diego. Food: I am guessing it's clear by now that their chicken pot pie is outstanding. SO freaking good, the flaky outside and warm inside pot pie has a whole new meaning. I am definitely going back for this one thing. The chick on a stick was delicious as well. I liked their drinks too, so much to choose from and all delicious. Service: We were seated immediately and were attended to by the sweetest server. She was so attentive and just nice to speak to. The food came out pretty quick as they seemed busy on a Friday night. Ambiance: It does not get as busy as some popular places nearby but this place needs more attention. Loads of seating, I especially liked their outdoor seating area, the vibe was on point. In-all: Love love the food, definitely going back.

Yelp
Great burger. Fun spot! Super nice people! There's a local favorite burger place everyone was recommending. But the wait was long and we're so glad we found RPH instead. Best burger I've had in SD! I'll be back.

Yelp
Wonderful find in downtown OB - tucked away and cozy little bar off of the main street, definitely worth the tiny detour for your meal and some beers w/ friends. Their food is VERY HEARTY and comfort-focused. Kiwi/New Zealand themed restaurant w/ very friendly/kind servers, fast service, awesome happy hour deals for beers/etc., and overall a great gastropub vibe! Street parking nearby (normal OB), plenty of seating and not too crowded on a weekday. Their dessert w/ a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie w/ a large scoop of fresh ice cream on top was awesome - highly recommended! If you're a little tired of the standard OB vibe, give this place a look - great for drinks w/ friends, a date night, or post-work dinner on your own!

Yelp
Friendly and expedient service, really strong flavors, and beautiful interior. We had the steak, lamb skewers, and e-legal dessert and was very pleased with it.

Yelp
Best burger in OB. Hodads doesn't compare. If you want it rare, it will be rare but still warm. It's just a phenomenal burger. The quality of the meat is the best. The wasabi sauce w fries ain't half bad either.

Yelp
***This review does not reflect a recent experience We chose to eat here after completing a weight challenge so we were excited to indulge our appetites. For our meal, we shared the lamb burger (Bare Lil' Lamb), meat pies, and some onion rings. The interesting combination of mint dressing and beetroot was a nice departure from the usual condiments you get on a burger. The lamb patty was definitely "bare" as you don't need much seasoning for ground lamb if you cook it right: juicy, earthy, funky, yet slightly sweet. The meat pies had rich flavors but after a few bites, we had to stop and take the rest home because the puff pastry was undercooked. Nothing a toaster oven couldn't fix. Good service in the patio during lunch hour. Not sure if this place sold us on New Zealand fare but we'd give it another chance.

Yelp
Prices have gone way up but still a very solid option Ob. The chicken pot pie is worth note and great burger options are available. Really solid pretzels as well.

Yelp
Nice ambiance. Very popular. But for me $22 burgers aren't worth it ESPECIALLY since I'm a vegan and they charge $2 additional dollars for a vegan patty. Wagu beef is less than a vegetarian patty?! Also my fries were served stale and lukewarm. They replaced them for me no problem but at $24 it was too little too late.
