This is apparently a second location for a brand that started in Union Market. The vibe was upbeat, and what I take to be the owner was working. They offer a vegan Ramen, and it was something that they clearly take seriously. It delivered a variety of tastes and textures. Notably, there were tofu pockets, stuffed with corn, chilled bok choy, and ample seaweed. The smooth miso broth was a solid base to build on.
I read that the owner started off at Toki Underground, and while this place doesn't have the kind of atmosphere, it does have that kind of quality. These food hall type places can of course make the leap to a standalone restaurant when successful, and if this one does I'll be there shortly.
