LA’s New Restaurant Openings - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"After an eight-month stint at Westfield Century City, this ramen shop from Japan has resurfaced in Rowland Heights. The signature nikutama broth is made with chicken, pork, and beef, and looks thick enough to patch drywall. There are a few other creamy broths on the menu, like the nitoryu made with tonkotsu and seafood, plus chashu bowls, karaage, and gyoza." - cathy park

The ramen soup is very thick, almost to the point of being gelatinous. As a result it clings to the thick noodles and makes it much more filling with how much fat you are eating. While the bowls look small you are mostly feeling full from how much fat you ingest with the noodles. The karaage is very juicy and the gyoza filling is seasoned to taste. I do wish the volume for the anime music played here was lower. Also, note that they do not offer ka jiro ramen or mazesoba here anymore.

Google
Ramen Ochi did not disappoint and it's to the point where I crave it now. The Ramen was stupendous but the star of the show was the in-house chili bomb. Not sure how after dumping the chili bomb, the ramen tasted the same as without. I need a jar of that chili paste tbh.

Google
Reopened, 8.5/10 Chef from Japan was here to support business I dislike being commonly supportive that uses phrases like “hands down” or “one of the best”, hollow words reduce incentive reading others comments, so let’s go: They use homemade noodles, that alone I think can earn my respect more than ALL other 【Japanese Ramen】 that are in the 【Rowland Heights area】. You might argue “No that’s machine made noodles too!” Chill, do you know how precious it is to have thicc, homemade noodles when all others are thin, round, yellowish, and alkaline noodles that are clearly NOT made in house? This is 5/5 noodles Soup, I understand reopened trying to sell their best titled soup with amazing butahara, and yes I agree 98% this is decent, flavorful protein I ever tasted in a 【Ramen restaurant】. (As you know there’s always a ‘However’ at the end of compliments like what I just said) However, it does not couple with the soup very well. - if the butahara soak in soup too long (or eater intentionally leave it/not eating it), its flavor dissolves in soup - so far the butahara taste fairly amazing when it first arrives at table But hey, maybe this all incorporated? Soup itself is thick onion pork based soup that I ‘could’ recommend have some after finishing up the noodles but definitely not the soup from the Tsukemen Lastly, topic restaurants never can run away from: portion & value I will not give out specific samples or how big compared to others, but for me personally: portion is smaller than usual and it is expensive than usual Ramen places. I hope that’s subjective enough for whoever is reading this. I’m a noodles lover, you gonna work harder to earn repetitive visits, when you are surrounded by Chinese hand pull noodles, Pad Thai across the street, and Taiwan Beef soup noodles in the area. Or you gonna go back to Costa Mesa/Alhambra to face real ramen giants P.S. summer time in LA…try come up with a refreshing ramen that fits the weather?

Google
A must order are the kaarage and gyoza. I might even argue it is the best tasting one in LA. I personally prefer the lighter chintan shoyu (chicken, soy sauce) than the richer pork bone ramen on the menu at this shop.. try it, you will be pleasantly surprised how good it is. — The ramen style is rich, a bit on salty/sweet flavor almost has a hint of sukiyaki. My favorite is actually the gyoza. — I had the cold , ginger/plum noodles. Quite refreshing for a hot summer lunch. I was not a big fan of the plum flavor however.

Google
A welcome addition to the mall’s dining options. Straight from Japan, Ramen Ochi brings some unique dishes and tasty noodles to a comfy location. I especially recommend the gyoza. Honestly I am not a huge Gyoza fan but these dumplings made me a believer.

Google
New spot in the mall! The ramen here is so unique with tender chashu and a raw egg—just like in Japan! And the award-winning gyoza!Absolutely delicious! I will definitely come back every time I shop here!!!

Google
We decided to try this new Ramen place. The broth was very good. It is thicker than the regular Ramen broth. The meat included pork belly and chashu which were both delicious. The service was very fast.

Google
This ramen spot is legit. It is very traditional with the chef hailing from Japan. The restaurant has a simple menu with basically 3 ramen bowls. There is the Nikutama (blended paitan broth), tsukemen (dipping ramen), and Tori chintan (clear chicken broth). We tried the Special Nikutama, Original Nikutama, and the Tori Chintan. We also tried the chicken karaage. All dishes were great! I liked my Special Nikutama so much I got a kaedama (extra noodles). Ramen Ochi is definitely one of the most authentic and traditional ramen joints in the area and I recommend this place. I only knocked off a star because my bowl was missing the egg yolk, but I didn't realize it until looking at pictures online before writing this review.

Yelp
Greeted at the door the Japanese way and the food was bussin(compliment). Naruto was also on the TV. This place is great!

James L.

Yelp
The Nikutama ramen had a rich flavor that was different from your normal bowl of ramen. The service was great. The restaurant was a little bit stuffy but other than that it was a good experience.

Yelp
The food was really good and the service was impeccable, the staff was really nice. You could tell that they were trying their best despite being understaffed

Yelp
I've been to Ramen Ochi about three times now, and I can confidently say it's one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently great, and there's real care in both the service and the flavors. I usually go for the Original Nikutama Ramen with the Original Spice Bomb (add-on) - solid 4/5. Rich, flavorful broth with just the right amount of heat. Their karaage is crispy, juicy, and flavorful - definitely a 4.5/5. The gyoza? Perfectly seared and packed with flavor - easy 5/5. But the star of the show for me is the BBQ Pork Belly Bowl - absolutely insane. That's a 100/10. No exaggeration. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, and everything is really clean - including the bathroom, which is always a plus. Even when it gets busy, the staff is super attentive and friendly. You can tell they genuinely care and try their best to make sure everyone is taken care of. Food also comes out faster than expected, which is always a win. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're craving good ramen and a welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
They're not kidding when they say the broth here is rich. I tried the Special Nikutama Ramen which had a broth so rich it almost tasted like a sauce. With this ramen, I enjoyed the thicker noodles and I liked the pork bellies. I wasn't too big a fan of the ramen broth which definitely packed flavor, just not sure what flavor it was aiming for exactly. They do make some good rice bowls so definitely try those. Gyoza was also pretty good and juicy. Service was A+.

Yelp
Beware this restaurant is using pictures from their last location. Pictures are very deceiving it looks almost like it's in an abandoned building once you walk up. Most of the businesses in the building are closed. I just wish they had some signs posted outside that they don't serve alcohol... If there was an option for 0 stars that's what I would rate this restaurant. I started off with an appetizer which was the Gyoza, server brought it to my table and left without giving me or anyone at my table plates. I had to flag one of the waiters down and finally got our plates. I ordered tsukemen and broth was a very watery and did not stick to the noodles at all... I was very disappointed in this restaurant because I knew they have a restaurant in Japan. Also like to add that they have NO BEER ! NO ALCOHOL AT ALL! I think that was the most upsetting part for me... Won't be back hope this helps someone saves themselves a trip.

Yelp
Ramen Ochi takes over the old Ajisen place. The place is dying with almost all the store closed by now. Corner on busy street. The menu is simple and straightforward. I can see why some people complained about the portion. Price per portion is on the higher end. You can do Kaedama, add more noodle or making it large. It will push the price to mid $20 per meal. We ordered Original and Tsukemen. We like them. As you can see both bowls are cleaned. The broth is thick, more like gravy and very tasty. The star for the night was House Special Gyoza. It was very juicy and delicious. 5 Stars meal. Nice dining area with few tables. So far not alot of queue yet.

Yelp
Ordered: - Gyoza with yuzu pepper (3.5/5): Gyoza was very juicy and moist and paired very well with the yuzu pepper provided. While I love the taste 5 gyoza for 10 dollars is pretty steep though, and it's very hard justifying 2 dollars per gyoza no matter how amazing it is. - Original Nikutama Ramen with Chashu addon (3.5/5): Extremely rich broth flavor with a decent portion of pork. Some people might find it too salty but it was perfect to me. Loved the thick texture that the pasteurized egg provided. Noodles didn't particularly stand out to me - I typically prefer them thinner and firmer. The chashu was very flavorful and I actually prefer it over some other well known ramen spots. However, do be aware that the portion size isn't the biggest. Overall (3/5): We arrived on a Sunday evening for dinner and we were promptly seated. Staff was attentive and friendly but we could tell that they were learning the ropes still. Ambiance was chill and not too noisy and I was a fan of the vibe of the decor. While I was a fan of the food, my main critique is that the portion is too little and price is too high - it kind of sucks to be paying 20 dollars for ramen and walking away a bit hungry still. Overall - definitely give this spot a try but be aware of the price for portion!

Yelp
The ramen here is so good. We got the Gyoza, Tsukemen, and Nikutama Ramen. Umami Nikujuru Gyoza has the perfect crispy to juicy ratio in a gyoza. From the first bite, you get a lot of juicy flavor. The yuzu pepper flavor is not too sour at all and is the perfect partner to the pork filling gyoza. 10/10 Tsukemen also has a rich broth but with a slight peppery taste that perfectly complements the noodles and the toppings. The pork bellies were savoy and nicely sautéed. The raw egg is an extra bonus that makes the Tsukemen extra creamy and help the noodles not stick to each other. 9/10 Nikutama Ramen has a rich broth that has a savory taste. Unlike the Tsukemen, it doesn't have a peppery taste but has a comforting rich flavor instead. If you want something not too heavy nor overpowering this is perfect. 9/10 The staff is friendly and our order came out fairly quick. Has some tables for seating so it's best to come early to get a seat. They have a garage parking lot and a small lot as well. Minimal and has notes of Japanese decor. Will come back to try the other appetizers and get the ramens again.

Yelp
I'd heard this place moved from West LA to the SGV and I'm always trying to find good tsukemen. Sadly, this was a major fail. The place itself is small but nice. The wait wasn't too bad and the food came out quickly. The problem was the prices and food. Its massively overpriced for what you're getting. My bf and I got the tsukemen, $18 for regular and $23.50 with pork. The pork wasn't good at all. The portions are small for the price. The noodles weren't chewy, and the broth was extremely salty! Its the same type of broth as Tsujita and Kai but thinner and more oil. And the egg yolk was useless. We also got the kaarage which was also just salt, no other flavor. The total came out to $63 and I'm sorry it wasn't worth it.

Yelp
Ramen Ochi in Rowland Heights is gaining popularity among ramen enthusiasts, thanks to its incredibly rich and unique broth known as the Sanjyu Broth. This luxurious blend is crafted from chicken bones, pork bones, beef bones, and a variety of other ingredients, all made by an award-winning chef from Japan. I ordered the Original NIKUTAMA Ramen, and it was a true flavor bomb. The broth is thick, deeply savory, and so rich that your lips feel a bit sticky after sipping it, exactly what you'd expect from a collagen rich, slow cooked ramen broth. Despite the bold, umami taste, it finishes with a subtle sweetness that lingers pleasantly. Topped with sautéed pork belly with onions, and a silky raw egg yolk, the layers of flavor come together beautifully. The sweetness of the onion and the richness of the yolk blend into the broth, elevating it to the next level. I also tried the Shoyu Ramen, which offered a completely different yet equally satisfying experience. The first sip reminded me of a traditional Japanese udon broth, comforting with strong flavor of bonito and soy sauce. But then it surprises you, a second wave of deeper, more complex flavors hits the palate, followed by a fresh citrusy finish from the yuzu peel. It's bright, savory, and layered, something that keeps you going back for another bite. The chashu is absolutely outstanding, although it looks quite fatty, it's surprisingly well balanced with a rich meaty flavor and tender, satisfying texture. Easily one of the best Japanese style chashu I have had, and it truly stands out among all the toppings. Even the soft boiled egg is perfectly done and delicious too. We also had the gyoza, which were fantastic. The filling is well seasoned, with a perfect balance of meat and vegetables, and the wrapper is pan fried to a crisp golden brown, just the right texture. It's exciting to see the Japanese chef/owner is actually working in the kitchen himself, ensuring authenticity and quality in every bowl. If you're a true ramen fan, Ramen Ochi is a must visit. Their flavors are bold, unique, and thoughtfully crafted. Come and show your support, you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to go back and try the Tsukemen next time.

Yelp
Ramen Ochi just opened in the old Ajisen spot, so I was excited to check it out. The flavor didn't disappoint--the broth is rich and savory, and the noodles are deliciously chewy (which I really like). You can tell the quality is there. However, the portion size is more like a kid's meal. For the price, it's just not enough food--definitely on the expensive side for what you get. Service was also pretty slow. It felt like they were understaffed, and the wait times added up even though it wasn't super busy. Hopefully that improves as they get settled in. Overall, worth trying if you're after good flavor, but be prepared for a small bowl and a bit of a wait.

Yelp
Good ramen, good broth, good restaurant. We ordered the original ramen . And spicy paste

Yelp
I ordered the karaage bowl and ramen delivered. The karaage bowl was SO yummy -- the chicken karaage was deliciously flavored and came with a good amount of sticky rice. I wished the container with the chicken had been vented though, because the crispy chicken coating was soft by the time I got to it. I can only imagine how delicious it would be straight out of the kitchen! The ramen was okay; the broth was a bit on the salty side, but the meat and fixings were all spot on!
google avatar

Yelp
Tried out this new ramen spot after having read about it in an Eater article. Service was very nice, prompt and courteous. The fried chicken was ok, a little bit stringy and not much flavor. The ramen was great! Noodles taste very fresh, pork belly very tender and the broth was soy sauce, sesame oil and spices heavy. I would come back.

Yelp
***EDIT*** (forgot to review the gyoza) I had this place on my bookmark for the westside location and never had a chance to make it out there mostly due to the distance. So happy to see that they moved closer to my side of town! I went during their soft opening and there were definitely some highlights and opportunities to speak of which I'll list in the review. Food (4/5) food was pretty solid. I'm a huge ramen head and was able to try 3 of their ramen shared with my party. Nikutama ramen (4.5/5) - this is a thicker gravy style ramen that reminds me a lot of Tenkaippin (a famous ramen shop in Japan). They use thicker chewier noodles which I really enjoyed and paired well with the broth. What makes the ramen unique is that they use thin sliced pork belly and egg yolk which adds a nice depth to the overall dish. Tsukemen (4/5)- the tsukemen uses a a very fishy but thinner (not so gravy like) soup than tsujita. I really enjoy this style as well as it's less heavy than the more mainstream tsukemen you see out there. Noodles are chewy and bouncy and comes with their egg yolk. Many people might like the tsujita style tsukemen more, but if you are looking for a very strong fishy soup, this would be a solid choice. Shoyu Chintan (3.5/5) - my wife really enjoyed this soup which is a pretty standard shoyu ramen using the similar noodles as their other dishes. They add a lot of yuzu to the dish which I'm not particularly a fan of (but my wife is). I also am used to more of a thinner style noodle for thinner soup bases. The thick noodles weren't bad, but my preference is definitely thinner noodles for this style of dish. Gyoza (5/5) This gyoza is super unique and really good! The gyoza had a little bit of a smokiness to it and was amazing. Highly recommended. My overall complaint for the food is mostly the portion. They don't give a lot of noodle in their dish. However the kaedama (extra noodles) comes with a ton. Not sure if it's a tactic for the restaurant to make more money from kaedama orders. Service (3/5) - service wasn't terrible but it felt mostly like a staff that was still learning the ropes. Things like refilling water, not bringing soy sauce with the gyoza, etc. I think a lot of this stuff will iron itself out as the staff gets more reps. Definitely not a hindrance for me to come back. Overall: pretty solid addition to the east side. The ramen is definitely a tier higher than the standard stuff you see around and it is different enough where it isn't just another tonkotsu ramen spot. Will definitely be back! Just hope the restaurant gives more noodles!
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Ordered the Special Nikutama Ramen, Tsukemen, and Gyoza. The portion sizes were way too small for the price and I had to order an extra side of noodles just to feel satisfied. I have to admit the noodle texture was great, very chewy. The biggest disappointment were the gyozas. It was pretty flavorful but was way too salty. I even asked the waitress if it's normal for it to be this salty and she said yes. I'm not one to leave any food behind but we could only eat one piece and had to leave the rest.

煜琳

Yelp
The ramen soup is simmered over 10 hours turn out a rich flavor with creamy texture. It's totally different from any other Ramen I have ever tried. It is thick but not greasy. I really love this kind of gravy soup especially with pork, bamboo shoot and raw egg together. Fried dumplings are also handmade and very tasty & juicy. It's must order! Chicken karaage is crispy and Yummy! I'll recommend to my friends and come to eat again in near future.
google avatar

S C.

Yelp
I've tried a few tsukemen places and Ramen Ochi is my favorite so far. The noodles are so fresh and al dente, and combined with the tender pork, green onions, and bamboo it really hit the spot in this warmer weather. The rich orange red egg yolk blends in perfectly and the dipping sauce was the perfect umami to tie it all together. I ordered a bowl of rice to finish off the dipping sauce and pork, and it was obvious that they use a very high quality Japanese rice.....so delicious and comforting, but not heavy feeling. I am looking forward to the yuzu ramen the next time I visit.
google avatar

Erin S.

Yelp
The service was very attentive. I've never been asked if I wanted water more. (( The waitress was adorable and clearly nervous)) We had the special ramen the traditional Karage and gyoza The gyoza is definitely very juicy. I highly recommend the tiny dab of green sauce that it comes with. The karage is definitely traditional Japanese, nowhere near Korean. It needs the limit that it comes with use the lemon. The broth is very thick so if you are expecting traditional ramen broth get ready because it's a thick boi. It is upstairs but there is parking downstairs in a garage so that's refreshing!
google avatar

Shannon T.

Yelp
The servers were very nice and attentive. As for the food, I enjoyed my tsukemen and my friend liked her nikutama ramen. While the ramen portion was on the smaller side, the noodles and broth were filling and flavorful. The gyoza and karaage were also good but after some thinking, I personally think they were a little overpriced since I'm used to these appetizers being between $5 to $9 at other restaurants. I would come back to try their other stuff though
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
When they say the broth is rich, they mean it!!!! Came here a little before closing and everything was delicious. Even got some food to go which they packaged nicely!

Yelp
One of my favorite things about Southern California is its cultural diversity. We are so blessed to get a great taste of that culture close to where we live. Today's treat was Ramen Ochi in Rowland Heights, though unlike the boys, I wasn't brave enough for the raw egg. I had mine with the soft boiled egg instead. Our rich ramen and the award winning gyoza were absolutely delicious. Their service was courteous and attentive. We loved all the food. We will definitely be back. Go give them a try!
google avatar

Winnie K.

Yelp
Ramen Ochi is in Century City mall next to Panini Kabob Grill. It's a faux outdoor space since it's located near the back entrance. For the food: The Original Nikutama Ramen is a triple rich broth. Unfortunately, for me, it's much too thick and viscous texture, almost as if they forgot to dilute the Tsukemen broth. The soft-boiled egg was a little overcooked, so I'd prefer the raw yolk. Next time, I'd try Appetizers, Shoyu Ramen or Rice Bowl.
google avatar

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
It is so hidden, but it is really good. I am still craving the chicken karage and wish I could eat more! The food is worth the occasional slight tremors from the parking lot lol The place is otherwise super bright and open, you can even see the steam rising from where they're making the ramen. Food Special Nikutama and the Japanese shoyu ramen with two crispy chicken is addicting. Highly recommend. All the ramen I recommend: Tsukemen (very dashi) and Nikutama. The server with the short black hair is very friendly and nice. They have their own bathroom in the restaurant which is an added bonus.
google avatar

Tony T.

Yelp
Update! My friend and I both got ramen got food poisoning from this place would not recommend and they did not seem to take my friend's report seriously when they called. It's kind of tucked away so unless you're coming from a certain direction or know of the restaurant you will never pass by it. I tried this place for the first time with my friend. The broth was thick and they provided a lot of meat. I felt my ramen was well balanced with not just the noodles but also the toppings where at other places I would feel like I'm eating just straight noodles. I would NOT recommend this place unless you don't want to wait at any of the other restaurants and possibly get food poisoning. The place is a bit cold since it faces a hallway

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this spot for a couple months, but kept being at the mall between 2:30-5PM when they are switching over for evening service. Finally got to try it recently and while it's very solid, it didn't fully blow me away. I went with their signature original bowl and it came out very fast, which was nice. Noodles had a nice chew, they have the option for raw egg or soft boiled and overall it checked most of the boxes. The broth itself really gained some flavor as it cooled down and had a rich and satisfying mouth feel as well. With all that said, it definitely cost a few more bucks than I'm used to as it's in Century City Mall. I also found the pork belly to be a bit chewy for my liking. The whole bowl felt like I really wanted to be traditional, but was dumbed down a little for Western palettes. Worth a try, nothing at all wrong with it, just not my favorite in the area -- I prefer the more playful flavors at the other ramen spot in the mall.

Yelp
First time trying Ramen Ochi and I would definitely come back! I love that they have shoyu ramen, especially because most ramen places in LA only focus on tonkotsu ramen. The shoyu ramen was super flavorful - slightly salty but good! I got it with regular pork chasu which was good, not too fatty and my fiancé got it with chicken chasu which he said was good. The gyozas are BIG! And really juicy. They could be slightly more crunchy but they are good! The restaurant is located on the first floor down the hall from cha cha matcha and across from panini kabob cafe.

Yelp
The broth is what makes it different from other ramen places and the pork belly was delicious. The place is nice and clean and the service was efficient. It is now one of my favorite ramen places!

Yelp
My review is based off of a typically "off" day for them I believe. We came here around 7:45, and marked ourselves down for the waitlist. It said that it was expected to be around 10-12 minute wait. 30 minutes later, we went to go check on our position, and they told us they just took last orders and were closing up early for the night (': We explained that we had been waiting, and the server was very, very sweet and let us come sit down still. He explained that they were having an off-night. We hope that everything was okay! I ordered the tsukemen, while my friend ordered the regular ramen. Her's ended up being switched and she got a tsukemen instead, since we didn't want to bother making a new bowl. The tsukemen was fine - the broth had good flavor, but everything was a bit cold. I hope we can come back to try it properly next time! For the setting, it's seated in the corner of the mall with plenty of seating. Clean and, again, really great servers! Thank you.

Yelp
Located near one of the parking entrances of the mall, it took us a couple of tries before finding it. The restaurant has a nice open space layout with glass partitions that blurs the outside and inside seating of the diner. The ambiance is much more relaxing than the other ramen place on the second floor. There is a menu stand at the entrance explaining their variety of ramens and it was insightful and pretty self-explanatory. The staff was courteous and we were seated right away since we arrived when they just opened for the day. We ordered tonkotsu style Nikutama and shoyu style Chintan ramen. Nikutama ramen had a thicker broth with rich flavor but not oily. The noodle was cooked perfectly, not too soft nor too al dente. The pork slices were tender and not fatty. On the other hand, Chintan ramen vegetable based broth was light but flavorful. The noodle was also cooked perfectly and brazed Chashu was tender. Great option for ramen when visiting the Century City Westfield Mall.

Yelp
Special Nikutama: had a lot of meat, green onions, and the onions were unexpected but so good! It enhanced the flavor so much more and i've never had onions in my ramen before which i liked a lot. chicken karaage: a little salty, but the mayo balanced it out for me i usually don't like ramen but this place was above average. the server/workers were rly nice and attentive as well. our server Carson was really nice attentive and welcoming !! give them a raise LOL

Ryan Y.

Yelp
$20 for a small bowl of ramen. It was salty. Not good. Service was just as bad with two college age kids who don't seem to have experience in restaurants.

Yelp
There was no wait on a busy Saturday night at century city mall. We were seated immediately (although I suspect this will change as this place becomes more popular and well known) and both servers were so nice! They took our orders and were checking on us quite regularly throughout the meal. I ordered the Nikutama ramen and shared the gyoza. The gyoza came out piping hot with very juicy and flavorful fillings. The ramen broth was very rich and flavorful. We will be back-so good!

Yelp
Ramen Ochi haș the best bowl of ramen I've had in ages. My Nikutama ramen is one of the best dishes I've had this year! Located in the Westfield Century City, it's tucked away down one of the side hallways, next to La Colombe and across from Panini Kabob Grill. The Nikutama Ramen has a broth made from pork, beef and chicken, making for a very flavorful and rich soup. Instead of beef, they use thin slices of pork belly cooked with onions, reminiscent of sukiyaki. You can choose either raw egg or soft boiled egg (I chose soft boiled) to accompany your ramen. It was almost 100 degrees outside, but the restaurant was cool enough for me to enjoy eating a hot bowl of ramen. My only quibble is that the music which was playing loudly sounded like it was from some movie fight scene or anime, which was a bit over the top, especially since the restaurant was nearly empty at the time (I went exactly when they opened). They close between lunch and dinner, so make sure you check their hours before your visit!

Yelp
Worthy of the hype. I am not a ramen aficionado however I have tried some of the famous ones and I can appreciate good ramen. This place definitely hits all the notes with the ramen. It's not fine dining in the mall but it's pleasant. I got extra charsiu, garlic and spice bomb for my ramen. The broth was extraordinary. With each gulp I was marveling at the depth of it. The noodles were great also. I ordered the gyoza for a side. They were very tasty also. The one thing I'd say though is it comes with a tiny little green splotch of something. I smeared some of that on one and was not pleased to find out it's like concentrated salt. The ramen is already salty so be careful with anything that adds sodium - this meal was spectacular but salty. All that said though if you are a ramen fan I think you will love Ramen Ochi.

Yelp
Stopped by here since we had already tried Ramen Nagi at the mall. Friendly service. It sad that there's not much traffic here because it's in a remote part of the mall. Pretty solid ramen. The portions are on the smaller side. I ordered the Original Nikutama Ramen with the pork belly option. It was flavorful and tasty. My husband ordered the Chicken Karaage Ramen. The chicken was tasty but the soup base was basic. He said it was better than Nagi. If you're craving ramen, definitely give Ochi a try.

Yelp
It's my first time to try this new Ramen Place in Rowland Heights CA. I've heard good things about their ramen from the yelp community. Turn out, most of the reviews were directed at its old location in Century City that was closed down. The management never bother to post the new but limited ramen menu that is totally different than the one posted by customers from the closed location in Century City. This location has very limited menu; only two ramen choices. One the ramen, tkesu ramen, was not available today, according to the server, due to the breakdown of their ice machine and the chef was unable to cool down the noodle before serving. We tried their only ramen available, Nikutama, which is just ordinary. The ramen noodle is pretty good but they soup was a bit salty to me. The side of ramen is on the small size for the price ($15.75). I live I the area for almost 30 years and had better ramen elsewhere like Foo Foo Tei in Industry (off Clark St.). The service is fine. The poor server does apologize us for the inconvenience and limited items on the menu. They should posted the new menu and let the potential customers know that their menu is totally different than the original location. Most of the menu uploaded on yelp was not for this location.

Yelp
Ramen Ochi is next-level ramen. Ramen Ochi is probably now one of my all-time favorite ramen shops in the States. It's top-tier level ramen in an already crowded food scene in Los Angeles, and yes, that's high praise and this shop deserves it. I've been here twice now, and each time, Ramen Ochi delivered. Their Sanjyu Broth made from chicken, pork, and beef bones was thick, rich, and bold. But be careful, as each handcrafted bowl of ramen is served at a piping hot temperature. If you like thick and chewy noodles, you're going to love this place. Honestly, Ramen Ochi has the thickest ramen noodles I've ever had too. I had a chance to try both the pork belly and chashu, and each was different. If you're looking to add a fusion twist to your bowl, get the sautéed pork belly. It adds a flavorful and dynamic kick. If you're looking for a classic meal, get the chashu pork. It was generous in portions, light, and very tender. Both are great options. Overall, Ramen Ochi is one of my new go-to ramen shops. My partner even coined this place one of his top ramen places, and he has a high bar too! Ramen Ochi is worth venturing to if you're in the area. It's tucked away behind La Colombe Coffee and Panini Kabob Grill but well worth the trek. I can't wait to order my next Nikutama Ramen!

Yelp
Tucked away in a corner at the century city mall. Was really craving some ramen so decided to give this place a try. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I got the tsukemen special with an egg. The bowl of ramen came with two different types of pork. They give decent amount of noodles, the flavor of the broth was pretty good but it was luke warm at best. They don't have limes which is a bummer because you need limes! We wanted to try the gyoza but they ran out and husband got the karaage bowl which was kinda small and overall he didn't like it.

Yelp
Located on first floor tucked behind Cha Cha matcha and next to Panini Kabob Grill is another great ramen spot! We went for lunch on a stray and there was no wait and no crowd. We ordered regular sizes of - the original nikutama that comes with their pork belly (can sub chashiu for free) and raw egg (safe to eat); $18 - Special Nikutama ramen that comes with the above plus roasted seaweed and both proteins (chashiu and pork belly); $24 We paid $1 to make it spicy and glad we did. The broth is very rich and thick (compared to Ramen nagi). So if you are watching your salt intake, make sure to drink plenty of water after because I had a light headache afterwards. We didn't try anything else on the menu and glad we didn't because we were so full. Though the Karaage looks really good! They also have beer and sake and different flavors of ice cream for dessert!

Yelp
The newest Japanese noodle spot in the Century City mall (as of 4/2024) specializing in ramen and located on the first floor near the Eataly corner I think. The buildout is nice and feels really new. I came here right before closing on a Sunday so it wasn't super crowded and the vibe was really chill. I was able to sit at the bar right away. Since it was my first time here and I briefly read about it, I ordered the Original Nikutama Ramen with their 'Sanju Broth' - a unique soup base made with chicken, pork and beef that's topped with soy-braised pork belly and a raw egg yolk. There's plenty of aromatics (lots of garlic and red onions) resulting in lots of umami flavor in its whole. I'm pretty easily pleased when it comes to ramen and this is no exception - I thought this was a wonderful bowl of ramen. Because it is located in a high end mall, the prices are a little bit on the higher end but not super unreasonable. This is a great new addition to the food landscape of this dining/ shopping destination.

Yelp
Overall: flavorful, albeit lukewarm broth for my dipping noodles Food: 3/5 I ordered tsukemen with extra chashu on the side. The noodles were perfectly al dente, and room temp as expected. The broth had a visible and noticeable layer of grease at the top. The chashu was also room temp and a bit congealed. The temperature of the meal overall was too low for my liking since the broth came lukewarm. Service: 5/5 Very attentive to us for refilling water and taking order. They apologized for the slower wait, which I really appreciated. Ambiance: 5/5 Clean, sleek, and modern!

Yelp
@ramenochi_la was truly an experience to RAMEN-ber, with their award-winning Sanju broth ramen that is meticulously brewed from chicken, pork bones and beef bones to make a hearty, rich and comforting soup. Each bowl is topped with flavorful slices of sautéed pork belly, onions, fishcake and raw egg (with an optional $1 extra spice addition) and priced around $20 after tax, which is a bit more expensive than other ramen spots but still 100% worth for the quality. This was truly one of the most unique ramen bowls that I've ever tried, and it was 100% worth running all over the mall to find it LOL If you're at the Westfield Century mall, definitely check them out for authentic, high quality ramen + no wait! Featured here: original nikutama ramen Sanjyu-Gyokai Tsukemen

Yelp
New spot at Century City Alert! Ramen Ochi is nestled in a hidden corner of the mall over near Macy's. Once you find it, it's a cute shop with a good amount of seating for dine in but they also offer take out. Staff was so nice and attentive throughout our meal! I had their Tsukkeman and really enjoyed it. I love a dipping noodle in general, but their Sanjyu-Gyokai Tsukemen broth was really tasty. I loved the egg yolk in the noodles but that broth is unique! Pork bone, Beef bone and chicken!? Simmered for 10 hours?! Sheesh! All that work surely gives it a really nice flavor and texture. My only thing I could be improved is music vibes lol! But honestly, great meal! I'll def be back.
