Soooo filling and yummy. Great food and cocktail menu items. The whisky list is expansive and ranges from $9 to $100+ for an oz or so, so you have a good variety of items to try from that list, and lots of specialty items. I wish I had room for dessert!

Fun ramen spot in a really great location in the city! I love the atmosphere, and vibe. I also love that there is indoor and outdoor seating. The 10 hour ramen is my favorite, and I highly recommend the ube cheesecake as well.

This spot is 🔥🔥🔥! I love coming here for the lunch special at least once a week. I always go for the vegetarian ramen, salad, and tuna rice bowl—each dish is packed with flavor. I highly recommend the food! The service is OK, though. Almost every visit, the staff takes a while to check in and see if we need anything.

Updated: Still very consistent every time. The vibes and food create the perfect kickback experience. Good experience every time. We usually get kimchi & chicken bowl (add vegetable gyoza), and the shio chicken bowl. Yuzu bombs (yuzu shot & Asahi beer) to drink, sticky wings, and brussel.

I’ve been coming to Ramen-San for many years and it has remained the same. I want to visit during the cold months to see how it feels, my summer visits have never let me down. The food is outstanding, the service is great, and the atmosphere is amazing. You can play along with their Spotify playlist, so when you leave you take Ramen-San with you. They have a patio and inside seating. I enjoyed my meal while the sunset on the patio, the vibes were unmatched. It is very hard to find a competitor to Ramen-San. Like I said before, I’ll be back.

Went here for the lunch special and was pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of their lunch menu. Their ramen broth is rich without overwhelming the other flavors in the bowl, and molten egg is the perfect texture. Definitely the standout off the plate, and you can’t go wrong with ordering off the full menu.

I keep coming back to this location. After trying so many other ramen shops recommended by “influencers” this one is the best flavor and fairly priced. Reasons why this spot is one of the best: - Fairly sized portions - The selection of Japanese spirits is top, think Hibiki 21 - They have Asahi on tap, served in a cold mug! It literally doesn’t get better than this to enjoy ramen - Ramen portions are decent and well presented We ordered the Pork belly bun, the Karage chicken bites, a Sumo ramen and a 10-hour Tonkotsu, everything surpassed my expectations again, flavors on point, pork very tender yet juicy. The waitress was super attentive and accommodating, she made sure everything was served quickly and neatly presented. This place is definitely authentic even if it’s a chain of restaurants, they use wooden chopsticks which I appreciate due to the better grip. They have all the condiments you might need on the table. Don’t get misled by all these instagram influencers that convince you to go to other expensive places with magical stories about how their owners left their consulting jobs to open a ramen shop, it’s all marketing. This is the place, you won’t regret it.

Best ramen! My bf and I get the same thing every time: tonkatsu, sumo bowl, and nuggets. They also have Asahi on draft and serve it in frozen mugs. So good!

Love everything about this ramen. Plenty of ramen options but these guys don't miss. Been here multiple times and keep coming back because I know what to expect. Excellent apps and ramen Great service and great ambiance. Easy for delivery or pickup too. I don't give many 5 stars but it's just consistently great.

I ordered takeout for the first time and had a frustrating experience when picking up my order. There were two ladies at the front--one on the phone and another who helped me. The lady who checked on my order mistakenly thought I had already paid and thanked me, so I clarified that I hadn't. The other lady then charged me, and after I paid with Apple Pay, she smiled and thanked me, leading me to believe everything was settled. However, as I took a couple of steps back, I was called back by the same lady, who reprimanded me as if I were a child, saying not to leave until everything was paid. Mind you I was still inside the place. I felt confused and humiliated, especially since she gave me social clues that originally everything had gone through without issue. I was using a new card, which had activation problems, but I was treated like a thief rather than a customer. This interaction left a bitter taste in my mouth and soured my meal. Not to mention, I had my wisdom teeth removed today. I didn't catch the name of the lady who reprimanded me, but I arrived at 5:40 PM today.

Such sweet service and amazing music give this restaurant an atmosphere that beckons guests to return. The tofu buns are out of this world, and others raved over the pork buns! The vegetarian ramen has a slight "bite" to it (careful not to accidentally get it on sensitive areas like eyes), but it's phenomenal!! Everyone at the table loved the Thai Tea crème brûlée, but we fought over the Ube cheesecake. We will definitely return!! --The sumo bowl is MASSIVE --My teenage daughter has a corn allergy. She ordered her ramen specifically without corn, but it arrived with corn. No issue; mistakes do happen. The order was sent to the kitchen where someone merely scooped the corn out of the ramen. I handed her the bowl when it returned to the table, but she again saw the remaining corn. The third time, the ramen arrived without corn. This whole interaction took around 20-25 minutes. It was long enough that our ramen had cooled substantially before her food arrived. I hope this is an isolated incident.

I had a late-night meal and ordered fried rice from the late-night menu with added tofu, along with cheese rangoons, which were delicious. The best part was the convenience of paying digitally by scanning the receipt. It automatically calculated my total, including tips and taxes, so I only paid for what I ordered without worrying about splitting the bill. I wish more restaurants used this system!

Good spot to hang out with friends in west loop. Veggie broth was good. Drinks are pretty strong. Fast service.

We started off with cocktails and I ordered the lychee tini per the waiter's recommendation since I wanted something strong. The lychee tini was pretty strong but smooth, not too sweet. I also ordered the kimchi fried chicken ramen, which was decent and tasted like your standard ramen broth. I feel like the broth could've been more flavorful, but it was ok. The molten egg was the best part of the ramen, it was fresh and had a sweet taste to it. We also ordered the pork and fried chicken bun which were AMAZING. Would highly recommend ordering the buns and adding a molten egg to your ramen.

I haven't had a ton of Ramen in my life but this was by far the best I've ever had. The sake is so good too our serve recommending trying cold sake which I never had and was glad I listened. It's honestly pretty cheap too for how good the food is and the portions are. Ube cheesecake is a must try too. Definitely will come back here anytime.

Very good experience at this restaurant, just like the one we had 2 years ago. The chicken in the Chicken Shio was cooked to perfection. Didn't know they were a chain across the city. Really enjoy this location, but if there is one closer, I will give the nearest one consideration.

Good food and good vibes! Spring went back into hiding so I wanted something warm for dinner and ramen was perfect. I grabbed dinner with a few colleagues so we grabbed a nice variety of apps drinks. The karrage chicken nuggets with the lime kosho aioli was easily the favorite. They the right size, with great flavor and a good crisp. The chicken and vegetable gyoza were also great. We also enjoyed the pork belly and fried chicken buns. The crab rangoon had a nice little kick but they were just okay to me. I had the limited edition spicy lemongrass tom kha. It was pretty good packed some great flavor. The spicy didn't really kick until later. The fried tofu had a nice balance which tends to be a hit or mess. I would definitely recommend this dish and add a molten egg and some chili sauce if you want to really spice it up. For drinks I had the ume' old fashioned and the Japanese juzu highball. I think the highball is a nice choice for warmer weather. It's a bit light and refreshing and you don't really taste the whisky. The old fashioned was just okay to me. The service was great. It was my first time there and the waiter did a great job breaking things down and giving recommendations as we ordered.

This is my go to ramen spot. When I find a good thing it's Hard for me to stray. The kimchi fried chicken is my favorite dish. But lately I find myself craving their edamame hummus. The vibe is super chill. At night the nights are dim. It's best to make a reservation for the weekend. Even if it's earlier in the day. The servers are all chill as well. Oh! They play rap and hip hop from the 90's and early 2000s. Love it here

Overall I enjoyed the experience and he tonkotsu ramen Went with a coworker as we needed a quick lunch. It was conveniently located around the corner. It was not very busy at 1 pm which was nice but we also wondered why. The place is nice and has a nice chill vibe which is rare in this area but it's what we needed. The ramen was good. A little more garnish variety would have been nice. The pork belly was tender and tasty along with the broth. Service was great. Would come back again and try different items.

This review focuses on everything besides the ramen. A friend and I decided to visit to indulge in the restaurant's specialties, buns, wings, and dumplings. The selection was impressive and lived up to our high expectations. We both opted for drinks, and I highly recommend the yuzu margarita (Corazon Blanco, Espolon Reposado, cilantro) and the spicy kimchi sake. As for food, we ordered the karaage chicken nuggets, edamame hummus, sticky Thai wings, xoxo shrimp/pork wontons, and crispy tofu buns. Among these, the crispy tofu buns stood out the most, along with the unexpectedly delightful edamame hummus. The ambiance is ideal for a date night or a casual gathering with friends, with its dimly lit and moody atmosphere. The only drawback was a 15-minute wait beyond our reservation time due to a lack of available tables. While not a major issue, it's worth mentioning.

Great quick service at the bar when I walked in to get a quick bite. They are serving 3 for $15 buns which were all super flavorful and hit the spot!

My last ramen experience at Ramen San was at their River North location and I just don't remember it being that good and so I didn't return for a few years. My favorite ramen spot (any guesses?) in the city was closed today and I was really craving some ramen on a cold Tuesday night so I decided to walk over, given how close I live to this location. I got their 10 hour Tonkatsu and replaced the pork belly with chicken karage. I also had a couple of whisky highballs . My meal was exactly what I needed and I left a happy camper. The broth was flavorful and not too salty, the chicken crispy and tasty.

Out of the ramen places in the city I think this one has the coolest atmosphere for ramen. The space has a lot of seating options and is dark and moody with cool music playing. For a group of 5, it was a little loud but we could still hear each other from across the table which was nice! The lychee-tini drink was strong, dry, and delicious! We got the Brussel sprouts to start which had a cool unique sauce on them which we loved. I got the 10-hour tankatsu ramen and it was soooo good! The spice level was perfect (but I do highly recommend asking for a side of chili crunch because yum). The portions are generous and the overall experience is cozy and wonderful. Will definitely be back this winter for ramen in the cold.

Eh...was excited to try a different ramen place in the city and it was fine. Nothing special although they did have a happy hour and offered some different items for those who may not be interested in ramen. The chicken nuggets on HH were hot and crispy with good flavor. Bathroom was clean and service was kind. Ramen though just not quite memorable. I wanted more depth of flavor with the 10 hr Tonkansu but oh well was still good and easy to get a seat.

Ordered delivery from Uber eats to my hotel. I was craving ramen but did not realize they send the broth and it still needed to be heat up! I was so upset about this! I ordered to my hotel and obviously there is no microwave! I ate cold ramen! Also ordered the Karaage chicken and Chinese broccoli. They were both ok. The karaage was rather stale, could've been better. Overall if you are ordering ramen for delivery and at a hotel with no microwave, do not order!! Definitely will not be ordering it again.

All the food was great! The 10 hour Tonkotsu ramen was definitely the move. So good! For apps, all three were really good. The pork belly buns were not very spicy and i have a low spice tolerance. The xoxo shrimp and pork wontons were probably my favorite, but the chicken and veggie gyoza were good, too! Always a fan of the 90s/2000s rap music vibe that Ramen San has!

I've been here three times while visiting Chicago. They serve some really good ramen! I also go for the pork based ramen: it's so good and flavorful. Make sure y'all make reservations. The service is always good and so is the ambiance!

The ramen was very good but I wouldn't say great. They do give you a few more pieces of pork than a normal ramen place which was nice. I'm a huge ramen fan so I had high expectations. This place was a very laid back and a lot of people drinking by the bar and they had good music playing. I grabbed the extra egg which was the spicy crushed egg which sucked. The spicy oil was good but the molten egg was better. The pork bun was very good as well.

Great ramen spot. They had a nice lunch special as well which have you a ramen, rice bowl, and side salad. We waked in for lunch and were able to find seating right away but it definitely does get busy. I found the chicken karate a little dry but the tonkatsu ramen had a flavorful broth, springy noodles, and tender meat. Service was great as well.

Stopped by here on a late night in the city when we couldn't find much else open. We were hungry, and just looking for some options for food. This place was open, and we all love ramen, so decided to give it a try. We didn't end up trying the ramen, but they did have so many options for appetizers that were delicious! We got the edamame hummus, bao buns, fried rice, wings and a salad, and we loved everything. The fried rice and the edamame hummus were both standouts for me. We definitely got our fill and I will keep this spot in mind next time we are in Chicago.

Our first time at this spot was pretty dope.The ambiance is chill,they play all 90s hip hop.So you know the vibe is on point.Customer service was great.Food was absolutely fire.Drinks were too!I love the window seating.Definitely will be back.

It's the little things!!! The service from this place is so impeccable as I have carried out twice I think I'll need to dine in soon. When placing an order online I received an error message. So I called and gave Q my phone order. Bobby called me to clarify which order I wanted to pursue because it seems I had placed two. Both were kind and patient and wanted to make sure I received exactly what I wanted. When I arrived (on a business call) looking like my own Door Dash driver the host properly prioritized my presence over a group of light skinned people who immediately walked past me and stood in front of me (maybe they didn't see me waiting for my food but I'm almost six feet tall so that seems impossible!). It feels good to be seen and respected as a customer! Now the food...the chicken siou (check spelling) is what I tried this time on a cold and rainy day in Chicago. It was good but I think I like the traditional pork ramen much better. My toddler enjoyed the noodles okay but the proof is in the picture. She turned over her bowl and there was like two tablespoons of broth remaining. Now as I parent here is where I struggle to let her play with her food because naturally I'm the janitor when she is done. This time I was grateful for the mess because she got most of the nutrients from the meal. That alone makes it worth it! While I wanted to try the limited edition wagyu ramen I could not take it out. I was sad but I had to get my kid so what can you do? The chicken gyoza did not reheat well later that evening. It just means my eyes were bigger than my stomach anyways. I'll probably never order those again. The limited edition brisket sliders were an interesting flavor. While I assembled the sides and sauced it at home myself it did reheat well and it left me wondering how they might have been served on site. This has become my regular stop after my monthly spa treatment. One day I'll pop in for full service! I will say this, the music is always on point!

I came across this place while exploring the Fulton Market area in Chicago. The restaurant is cozy and decorated beautifully. It has booth, high top seating, and even outdoor seating during the summer. I've been here twice and the service has always been top notch. The staff are super knowledgeable about the menu items and can help you build the perfect ramen bowl to your liking. The menu is simple, but I feel like it includes many items that can satisfy your ramen cravings. There's pork, chicken, and veggie options, and you can add a few extra toppings to your liking (for an additional fee). If you're a drinker, they have an excellent selection of whiskey and spirits, but if you're not, they also have two very delicious spirit free options. I got the kimchi & fried chicken ramen (for the second time) but added a molten egg this time (half an egg for an additional 1$; I was a bit upset with that because I thought I can at least have the full egg - no problem, but I wish they would have indicated that on the menu). I do not eat pork, but I was able to get the vegetable broth instead of the pork broth. A friend of mine got the tantan-San ramen and we both shared the fried chicken and crispy tofu mantou buns. The food was overall great but for some reason, the ramen bowls were slightly too spicy the second time around. Don't get me wrong, I love spicy food and almost always order extra, but this time it was just slightly too much. It was the type of spice that's painful rather flavorful, you know what I mean? I almost always drink the remaining broth, but I wasn't able to this time. The spice masked all the flavor. The mantou buns were great, I liked the fried chicken a lot more than the tofu, but the buns were baked to perfection and just melt in your mouth. Either way, it was still a great night with great food. Highly recommend you try this restaurant if you are in the Fulton Market area. Till next time!

It's a great place to eat. The ambience is nice with great hip hop classic music in rotation. Given its 20F outside in Chicago today, the place during lunchtime wasn't crowded but decently a third full. Nonetheless, the food is great. I used a Lettuce Entertain You gift card for this place. So that was nice. It more than enough paid for my meal plus tip. Meal: with tip under $50 1. Smoked brisket ramen 2. Fried chicken Mantou bun 3. Thank yuzu (spirit free) drink I love bbq and great bbq. Thus, when searching places to use my gift card at, an option I was thinking of was Hub City bbq. Yet this place Ramen San has a ramen with Hub City brisket. So that's a unique combination I desired to try. Therefore, I chose to eat at Ramen San Whiskey bar. The brisket goes well with the very flavorful ramen. The bun was good yet even better with their table side soy and some other sauce. The Thank Yuzu drink was a good refreshing lemonade mocktail. Overall great food with the ramen being the standout, as it should. Service was great and great food. Recommend checking out the place. Overall not a bad place to enjoy good food on a cold winter day in Chicago.

Went for the ramen + whisky options. Cha-su was way awesome-- soft, juicy, thick pieces, all four pieces in the ramen. Soft boiled egg done right. The noodles themselves were all right. The chicken karage was a little thin to my liking, but ok. Loved the selection of Taiwanese whisky. Enjoyed it overall. A little loud due to the decor (hard surfaces).

I did not even realize that Ramen San had locations other than the one in River North so I was super excited to eat at the West Loop location when I walked past it!! I went on a Sunday afternoon and there was more than enough seating inside (definitely a lot less traffic than the River North location even on the weekends which is great!!). The vibes were very similar to the River North location with beautiful aesthetics, dimmed lights, and cute seating! We were seated right away and our server was the absolute sweetest! He provided great options for whiskey (it was my first time trying whiskey here so I was a little overwhelmed with the options haha!) Nonetheless, I went with the basil hayden and it was the greatest choice EVER! It was light, crisp, and SOOO smooth! Food wise - we got the chicken and veggie dumplings, the kimchi and fried chicken ramen, and the chicken shio ramen. Everything was spectacular. The dumplings were super hot and crispy and made to PERFECTION! The kimchi/fried chicken ramen definitely is the more spicier one but so so flavorful! The chicken shio was a surprise to me, because I thought it was not as flavorful at the River North location but I ended up LOVINGGG the broth here! Everything was absolutely fantastic and we left with full and happy tummies!! Whether it's a cold day out or a sunny one, you can never go wrong with getting an incredible bowl of ramen here! This place continues to be my favorite ramen in the city!!!

The ambience upon walking in is classic! Classic 90's-2000's hiphop is always a "Win". Started off great, ordered take out and had the chicken shio which is zesty, salty w a kick of spice. Price is what you'd expect from the West Loop. All in all the value was good the taste was good and the whiskey menu has me wanting to go back! Check it out!

The food here was slammin. Good vibes. I had the fried chicken ramen. Loved it. Very flavorful. I remember not liking my first drink but the wait staff was kind enough to switch it to the penicillin. That drink was great. Has a nice hint of ginger. Loved it. Very tasty. The fried chicken ramen was next level. Loved the flavor in the fried chicken and it went great with the ramen. I 100% recommend this place. Had a good time.

We ordered this all to go about an hour before close. It was still very busy, the staff was very friendly while we waited for our food to be done. It was about a 10 minute walk back to our hotel so the food wasn't the freshest it could have been, but everything was still delicious. The pork bun was a bit tougher than I prefer, but still very good. The wontons were delicious, honestly better quality than I've gotten at some dim sum shops. And the ramen was amazing. Broth was flavorful, egg still runny, noodles perfect temp, and the chicken wasn't overcooked and very tasty.

Went here on a snow day for much needed warmth and ramen. Got the OG tonkotsu - the most classic ramen option. Not the best tonkotsu I've had, but it was alright. Came with three big chunks of chashu pork. Not the softest chashu I've had. It was a bit too tough and lean for my liking. They could do so much better with this. Almost too meaty if that makes sense. The ramen also came with seaweed, bamboo shoots, and an onsen egg - pretty standard stuff. They added a lot of toasted garlic on top. Not much broth with their ramen, and it was a tad bit salty but otherwise alright. Pretty small compared to other places and with around $20+ with tip and tax, kinda expected more. Spot looks cool with the lighting and the whisky bar. For ramen though? Maybe try elsewhere. Service was not the best either. Sat down and no one came over to take my order. Had to call someone and even then, it was pretty blah. More of a 3.5ish but not inclined to round up and give it a 4.0. Mediocre and underwhelming. For a spot that specializes in ramen, I'd pass in the ramen unless you're here for the whisky.

Love this cozy ramen spot. Went for lunch and got their lunch special. Got the tuna rice bowl, pork chashu ramen, and side salad with it. Definitely worth the price. Loved the pork chashu.

The best menu item is the karaage chicken nuggets by far! We were impressed by the salty, lime flavor in the seasoning and aioli. Aside from that, the ramen is pretty standard. I would expect just a little more though coming from such a great location in Fulton Market. The decorations and setup are cute and I bet the fairy lights would look stunning when it's warm enough to sit outside. Unfortunately, the staff seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other than serving and forgot my drink entirely. Overall, I enjoyed my food, but I'd try all other ramen places before going here again. -AT

Hip warehouse space w blasting music. Packed on a Saturday night - we are on stools with a little shelf for food. Raman was ok - not as much flavor as expected. We had Karaage chicken . I got the caipirinha- it was all Alcohol - I actually had to water it down to drink it. Worth the money. Beer selection is typical.

I usually am a "girl dinner" type of eater. Pick at a few different things & then say I'm full. This Ramen was different. I devoured this entire bowl & licked all my fingers after. They have these chicken nugget things that have an interesting almost cinnamon spice to them. Soooooo gooooooodd

This is the third location my partner and I have tried, not only is the food good but the service is GREAT. Our server gave us a little happy pride note and we had fun chatting about the horrors of living in Indiana. I don't believe we asked her name but hopefully she will know this is about her :) Btw the tuna tartare is to die for!!!!

I have been to the original "Ramen San" location in Huron in River North a long while ago. I knew it was time for a re-visit. Upon researching their menu online, I noticed that "Ramen San-Whiskey bar" in Fulton Maket also offered express lunch deal ($15.95, subject to change through inflation) daily. As long as we took advantage before 3pm, we would be able to get a bowl of ramen, rice dish, salad, and marinated cucumbers. I thought it was fair. We didn't have a reservation, but the hostess didn't have us wait for too long for a table of 2. The restaurant was quite busy for an early Sunday afternoon. We saw many families were dining in and enjoying their holiday weekend. Speaking of families, I saw a few older children, not toddlers or anyone younger than pre-schoolers. The aisles where servers walked by were narrow. In addition, I didn't see high chairs being offered at the venue. I think most parents would take their toddlers elsewhere to dine, yet just let you know this might not be ideal for them to hang around. The food was what to be expected. Everything was presented on a tray and the visual of each dish was nicely garnished. Unfortunately, I believe the weakest link was the shio ramen. The flavor could be more penetrated, for the broth was thin and a little too bland. Nevertheless, every ingredient appeared fresh and the portion was adequate. Since it's so-called "whiskey bar," it was probably unspoken to say trying a drink or two should be encouraged. I didn't opt for an alcoholic beverage, yet we shared a yuzu lemonade. It was very refreshing and a great starter if you had a lack of appetite. "Ramen San-Whiskey bar" could be a safe choice for those who wanted to have a nice lunch or dinner without spending too much. The Fulton Market area has become quite expensive. With that being said, this place would be considered "relatively" affordable.

I was excited to go with a group (pre-arranged with the restaurant) to do a Japanese whiskey tasting. I wanted to become more versed for an upcoming trip. To make a disappointing experience short- we were presented with 4 shot glasses with roughly a half ounce pour and told the NAME of each. Yep that's it, that's all. We had originally made dinner reservations to coincide with the end of the group's tasting. Since we ended up ordering food items while "tasting", I ended up cancelling the dinner reservations and going somewhere else. The interaction with the staff assigned to our group in no way encouraged/invited me to stay and order more drinks or anything.

The best ramen I've had in the city so far! I love how we can always get a reservation for two. They have vegan options. The Tan Tantan-San is full of flavor and the broth is pure perfection. The appetizers to share are great too! The restaurant is always busy and has a hip vibe.

Nice little place to eat. We sat down, and the server got us water immediately & stated he would be right back to take our drink orders. 15 mins later, a table next to us sat down. Moments later, he asked for their order.....they were not ready, so he came back to us....oh, you guys probably want to pit an order in, right? He said. Ummmm, yeah, we have been sitting here for 15-20 watching him just walking around & chilling behind the bar. The other server was outside just talking to ger friends at a table chilling. Finally, we ordered some drinks & food at the same time bc we didn't know if we would see our server again in the next 20-30 mins. Luckily, so say the drinks took a really long time to be served, which is amazing seeing there were only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant full, including outside. The food was really good too. The Karachee chicken was so tender & full of flavor. The Ramen was full of flavor it's the main reason we normally order from here. The inside is pretty cool, there are a bunch of seating and even seating at the bar. Outside there are a couple booth available if ya want to enjoy the nice Chicago humidity or beautiful breeze at sundown. We normally oder delivery, but when it's nice out we head on down here. This is some of the best Ramen in Chicago! And yes yes Ramen in the Summer is perfect!!! If not eat the other items but you will miss out on the great Ramen.

Ordered the Tonkotsu and the yuzu lemonade. The lemonade was absolutely delicious! The Tonkotsu broth was amazing however the noodles were crunchy. Service was great! I was seated immediately.

One of my favorite ramen spots in the city and they have a large selection of whiskey too! I usually get the Tonkotsu ramen with beef. However, they have monthly specials which are often times creative that have pulled pork or fried chicken. I almost always get a margarita which is delicious too. The service is fast for the most part. And they typically play old school hip hop so it's a chill ambiance.

I'm picky when it comes to ramen and Ramen-San really checked off all my boxes (for the most part). Starting with the apps, the shrimp/pork wontons and chicken karrage nuggets were delicious. You could really taste the pork and shrimp of the wontons and texture was on point. The chicken karrage was equally as good and the lime on the side was a nice touch. As for the ramen, I got the fatty ramen and added pork chashu on top of the carnitas that come with it. The chashu was probably the some of the best chashu I've ever had. Very tender with hints of smoky and sweet. The broth was just right even though this particular ramen had extra fat added, it didn't feel too heavy. My least favorite part of the ramen was the carnitas, being right next to the chashu it was very meh. Definitely coming back for ramen when I'm in Chicago next.

Came here for lunch, we got two appetizers and each had our own ramen. The mapo tofu ramen with ground meat was DELICIOUS. The photo I took does not do it justice, trust me it's delicious. Also enjoyed the pork belly buns and wontons, wish the wontons had some spice to it. The yuzu lemonade and yuzu margarita were also both delicious. Service was also great! Definitely recommend this spot. Wish I lived I Chicago I would come here for the ramen all the time!

Ramen San had the best music! I had a great time here for a quick solo lunch! The broth is so hearty! You get a good portion of chicken ! The server was awesome! She made sure I had a cocktail and waters pretty quick while having a decent amount of guest at the bar!
