Ramona's Mexican Food

This is the worst ramonas I have ever been to. They giveing unlimited beans and rice👀 on every burttio order and no meat. I would like to speak to management regarding this order. 👎💔

Ramona's is a takeout location. I came here regularly (1977-1985)... Still here. Nice, clean shop where everything is fresh. So, it is almost 40 years since my last visit time to visit regularly again.

Ashley was my cashier today and she is very well spoken and energetic; the cooks have always been very sweet and they are normally able to prepare my food very quickly unless they get very busy. I haven’t had any issues at this location in the 5 years I’ve been coming here.

The food is always great been going since I was a little girl now I take my kids the location is a staple in the neighborhood glad to see it still going customer for Life!!!❤️

I love Ramona's it was really good they had a African American young lady employee there and she really work fast and good she was taking orders and clearing the restaurant she was very nice and just a pleasure. I will be back

They officially done fell off its 11am ain’t no way the rice is old and the red meat sauce lacks flavor they need to call it a rap close it on down ijs

The food is always flavorful and fresh. The service is fast and easy. The place hasn't changed since the first time I went in 2001.

BOMB DOT COM ! free easy parking lot. There's no tables here to eat & same setup in the Gardena location & NO PUBLIC BATHROOMS!!! I've had the beef red enchiladas; chicken taquitos & green chicken burrito. The customer service / staff is professional & hospitable. Food isn't super fast but Doesn't take forever. The enchiladas have never stuck to the lid by the way.. the salsa isn't spicy. $10 or so burritos. & absolutely no bills $50 or 100$ Burritos aren't humongous but they're not tiny. I'm full & satisfied after eating one. Every time I eat their food (including the frozen burritos sold at Vallarta in Boyle Heights) I'm happy af. Will definitely return & recommend.

I lived on Ramonas Chile Relleno burritos that I could get at any 7-11 in Southern California. I liked their other burritos but was infatuated with the chile relleno burrito for over 40 years. No matter where I moved I could find them; from Los Angeles to San Dego to Santa Barbara and beyond. God, I miss that part of living in California! Now we live in Florida and Ramonas is nowhere to be seen; sometimes when I am depressed about something I just wish that I could get one to help cheer me up. A couple of times I even put frozen ones into my luggage and brought them home with us. Since I no longer fly out to Califonia for business I may never see them again as I was unable to convince anyone at Ramona's to start shipping them cross-country. Oh well, I'm 73 now so probably don't have a whole lot longer on this earth. If there is a heaven it better have Ramona's chile relleno burritos or it will be truly hell to live there!

Service has gotten quicker in Gardena on western. Now you pay outside and grab your food indoors.

A friend of mine had been to this location and had a good experience so I decided to go e it a try. Due to the area that it's in, I wasn't sure if the service nor the taste of the food. It was actually better than I expected. Ashley was the team member who took our orders. She was magnificent with her customer service. She was patient and accommodating. I stated to her that I wasn't sure what to order. I hadn't been to Romona's in quite some time. I tried to go with the RBC burrito but I also wanted to fill up. Ashley suggested the RBC but with red sauce and onions. It was the best. Pretty big and heavy too. It was just what I needed. I was full without needing a soft drink to go along with it. The location is very clean and so is the nice size parking lot as well. It's a location that's a gem of a spot in the local community. I will definitely be back. I enjoyed the food and service very much.

There was a young lady named Ashley who took our order there. Her customer service is out of this world. She was very helpful. Her tone of voice was very cheerful and she made sure our order was correct.

Sad to see Ramona's turn into a money hungry corp like Chipotle. Went in and got my usual wet burrito but was surprised to see how small they started making it. The burrito was barely bigger than the lady's hand that was making it. SMH. Don't recommend anymore.

Ramon's on 69th and San Pedro. Chicken burrito Ramona style is delicious I have been eating at the restaurant for years.

I have been a customer of Ramona's since 1976, and in all that time only had one mistake made on my order .

Me and my family came to this establishment all the way from Palmdale because my sis been craving Ramona's and she wanted some before she head back to Vegas. We are LA natives so of course we had to stop here. Let me tell you the customer service that we received from Ashely was really admirable and genuine. She was multitasking our orders, repeating our order to make sure we ordered correctly, had a positive attitude but just overall she was amazing. Even the staff making our food was very nice. Ashely thank you for the excellent customer service you provided me and my family. We need more people like you that have that kind of personality to provide that kind of customer satisfaction.

Wish they still sold frozen beef with beans and green chile burritos at Smart & Final. Although nothing is as good as the fresh ones they sell at their store in Gardena.

The food is always delicious and the servers are the sweetest! I do wish they had bigger portions, but the taste makes it worth!

Please save your time and money. You won't get your moneys worth. I bought a burrito for 11 bucks and it looks like a microwaveable burrito. The person that made the burrito didn't care if she messed up your order or not. The lady came out the back and warmed up like 3 or 4 burrito shells and just rolled them like she was pro. She messed up my burrito and a few ppl behind me. Beware

A bigger vegetarian menu. But otherwise you guys are doing great. And healthier drinks like natural fruit waters.*

Ramona's is great, and the chain is worth it. Unfortunately, the parking and neighborhood aren't great. It definitely can be congested due to the store being small. Ramona's is still great, and the food is worth it. I recommend going to the Gardena location or North Long Beach instead.

I live no more than 6 miles from this location. This is a Beef and Red Chile Entree $16.00. Why is the beans glued to the top of the lid. The cheese and beans are stuck. I tried putting it back in the pan, they're stuck. What a waste of money.

Well I finally made it in here , I've had this place on my must visit list for awhile . So it's pretty much located in I would say a challenging neighborhood. The food was just okay in my opinion, very greasy , the service was not very friendly , very hurry up type of deal and you literally have to drive into this location with the sole intent of eating here because there's nothing of Rea interest anywhere here. I will probably not ever come back but I'm glad I did finally visit this place.

I went to Romona's on Crenshaw behind Denny's today Mothers Day ordered a wet chicken burritos, I was so disappointed I ordered chicken, rice, cheese red sauce. What I got was rice, a teaspoon of chicken. I didn't order a rice and cheese burrito but that is what i got. Very disappointed​

Ramona's is a one-of-a kind place. All food made to order and is fantastic. The simple bean and cheese burrito is heaven. The red chili beef is so flavorful. People love to complain about the service. Ya the ladies on the line are not there to chat you up and ask about your day. The take there job seriously. Get over yourself. It's part of the charm. All the complainers come back because the food is worth the wait.

Was there today. Ordered a burrito and was disappointed, it had plenty of beans and rice but hardly any sauce in it. You can have more sauce for an extra fee, as it is their burrito are already $10 with nothing extra. They were quick to serve. Lack of good customer service as well. Im giving it two stars because it was serve quick and because they had a parking lot.

Food is good that I can't take from BUT dam it's expensive 1 beef and potato burrito over $10 idk I don't think it's worth it plus the size is not $10 either. Been coming to Ramona's since I was a kid but I think I rather buy their burritos at 711 it's the same thing. I had to deduct stars because of the price don't think I'll be back.

Burritos are the BOMB!!! I always get green chile Burrito. It's literally "Chefs Kiss" mouth watering Burrito. The flavors are to die for. I wished I lived closer. I always put rice, beans,cheese and green chile Burrito. Buy like double. They are even good the next day cold. Trust when I say that. Even if you nuke it for 30 seconds they are still delish. Beef potatoe BOMB. Their specialty Burritos are good. Everything is good down to the plates dinner. Just get one of Everything if your rich rich. They also sell frozen Burritos at the restaurant you can also get them at Smart And Final. Delish. The size of the frozen Burrito are not the same at the restaurant but still Bomb diggity.

The worst vive ever!!!!! The two ladies in the front have no customer service. They were giving us an attitude every time we asked a question in regards to our food preparation. Seriously if they are so miserable in their job they should just quit and find one that really makes them happy. No customer should be treated the way these two treat their customers.

If you ever tried and liked those frozen burritos from Ramonas, that you get at Smart & final, this is the place to come to. Those same frozen burritos, you can get freshly made to order. Haven't tried everything on the menu, but my personal favorites are the beef and potatoe burritos, beef burritos with red or green sauce. Awesome! The only bad thing, is that they're a little pricey, and the burritos seems to be getting smaller. With that said, because of the flavor, it's still worth it, but just won't come as often. It's also true on what they say about the cashier's, as they really don't smile much, but I also don't blame them. I know how much crap they have to go through with rude and demanding customers. I probably wouldn't smile either. Also beware, this restaurant is not located in the best of neighborhoods. So stick with the parking lot, come during the daytime, and be aware of your surroundings. You should be fine.

I finally got a chance to try Ramona's after growing up in LA and NEVER wanting it. The cafeteria style burrito assembly line is a little dated. The cheese doesn't melt, which defeats the purpose of getting cheese on a burrito. The beans or one of the other ingredients sent me straight to the bathroom the next day. Don't think I will ever be back....

Great burritos. I love the beef green burrito. It's a small place with a counter and a line out the door. No seating, no waiter service, no amenities of any kind. Just cheap great food to go. Not a lot of parking, you may have to park on the street. Definitely worth it.

Wow. I can't believe I haven't rated this location before now, when it was my main spicy spot when I lived in South LA during the 80s. Whenever I had a craving for the best Mexican food in LA I went here because it was closer to home, or on Western Avenue depending on where I was when the itch hit me. Lol This place really is great! Don't wait too long to try it!

I was highly disappointed in buying Ramonas new frozen cheese burrittos. They changed the recipe. The cheese is fake, the spuces aren't the same. They ruined them by changing the original recipe. I'm returning my case back to Smart and Final. Why would they change the recipe from the original recipe? They are terrible!

I've been going to Ramona's for over 60 years. Their food was always of the highest quality although the customer service was never that great. Within the last ten years though the food quality began to decline. Where once you could bite into their food and enjoy every bite, Now it seems that there is consistantly a great deal of fat in their meats so much so that every other bite I am spitting out excess fat that was never there until recently. With their prices constantly being raised to a point that I don't think that the food is worth it, I don't go there anymore. I would suggest "The Burnt Tortilla" nearby on Rosecrans Blvd for a similar taste as the old Ramona's plus quality trimmed meats and larger to boot!

There's a certain je ne sais pas about Ramona's frozen burritos. I've been eating these delicious frozen burritos since I could walk. Only recently have I had a fresh non frozen burrito and it is just as good but slightly better than the frozen burritos. It's a little out of the way for me so I always keep a box or two of their frozen burritos in my freezer. One day I'll have a freezer in the garage just for storing Ramona's burritos just like my grandma and grandpa do. When I was a kid my cousins and I were always at my grandparent's house. They'd baby sit us while our parents went to work. One day when my dad came to pick me up saw all the kids on the floor watching tv and licking frozen burritos. My grandma couldn't read and gave us frozen Ramona burritos thinking they were popsicles!!! Sorry I thought that was worth sharing. But seriously they are so good I could eat it frozen. The recipe has not changed at all over the past twenty years or so. Whether you like hot sauce or non spicy Ramona's is the real deal. Titos tacos is also my favorite. I consider Titos and Ramona's to be very unique. They're not loaded with rice and beans instead their burritos are packed with a gravy like meat mixture and beans and cheese depending on what you order. No lettuce inside or fresh tomatos, which I guess makes them ideal for freezing. If you're hungry I suggest getting two burritos since they're kind of on the smaller side. I usually eat two or three in one sitting and I've seen my dad eat four or five in 10 minutes, I don't understand how people can eat so fast. If you haven't gone then go and if you pass by this product in the frozen isle load up on it! They're very affordable and extremely delicious. Mexican food makes the world go round.

The Yelp app indicated "call to order," but when you can they deny service. Then when it comes to ordering at the location , service is horrible! Speaking for others their have been many orders incorrect. To attend 5 customers it takes approximately an hour and a half ! Like woaaah ! Why are you open if you can't handle the amount of orders taken. Lastly the foods great the employees how ever are not showing any sign of strong character. They're just working to work. No ones looking for the best of the company.

Old school since 1954. I don't care much for the frozen food this company provides but their restaurant food is very delicious. It seems the red chili burrito is the go to item on the menu, so I always order that. I paid $10 for a combo, which included a big burrito Ramona style, chips, salsa, and a soda.
