A Triumphant Comeback for Rancho de Tia Rosa - Don't Miss Out!
For years, Rancho de Tia Rosa on McKellips Road was our go-to Mexican restaurant in Mesa, a vibrant spot for Baja-style flavors in a festive hacienda.
Challenges like a fire, COVID, and ownership changes dimmed its shine, but if you've given up on Tia Rosa, give it another chance! Our visit today was mind-blowing, proving this Mesa gem is back in top form. The service was phenomenal. Our server, Jorge, was attentive, courteous, and hilarious, anticipating our needs with a warm smile. He made the meal unforgettable. Manager Heather was equally fantastic, sharing Tia Rosa's journey through tough times with passion. Her attentiveness made her a true ambassador for this spot.
The food? Absolute perfection! The shrimp quesadilla, our old favorite, was a revelation--juicy shrimp, gooey cheese, crisp tortilla. The guacamole dip burst with freshness, paired with warm chips. Beans and rice were classic comfort, and the margarita--blended with a sugared rim--was a happy hour steal (2-6 PM, per their site). Everything arrived hot and generous, rivaling any Mesa Mexican spot.
Prices are reasonable, especially compared to similar restaurants, The vibrant decor--Cuernavaca-inspired with colorful tiles--creates a perfect vibe for locals or visitors. If past visits disappointed, I promise you won't be let down now. Tia Rosa has reclaimed its crown as Mesa's premier Mexican destination. Thank you, Jorge and Heather, for an unforgettable experience. Go now for a fiesta of flavors!
