As a cycling enthusiast, I had to stop by the Rapha store when visiting San Francisco. Store was nicely presented and staff is super-friendly. I picked up some of the local merchandise (Rapha SF Bidon and socks), if I lived there I would probably be there every day lol!

The staff here are very friendly and are very approachable! There is also a small cafe shop on the second floor, which adds a nice touch to feeling at home. Premium prices for the bicycle related clothing, but high quality garment!

Best gear ever, wife loves the new winter kit. Espresso is clutch, haven't done a group ride with them yet but I've been told they are spectacular.

This shop is a cool shop. The people were very friendly and helpful and really made me feel comfortable. Huge perk is there is a coffee shop inside. This was my first time but won't be my last.

Great coffee and rad on & off bike clothing options! They host rides for those that want to get into a cycling community out here!

The must-visit place if you are a cycling fun. High quality cycling clothes and fine coffee are provided. Local people do come here for coffee in the morning. It is also a perfect place for watching cycling events, e.g. the Giro. They also have outdoor seats.

Did a bike hire today and everyone was so helpful! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here if you’re looking for a great shop to see!!!

Inside this bike shop is one of the best coffee shops in Cow Hollow serving the finest espresso drinks. Long communal bench to enjoy the frothy perfection right there as intended.

I walked in here hesitantly, unsure what I was looking for. I knew I wanted to purchase a jersey as a gift, but I had not idea what to look for. Georges walked me through all of the jerseys, explaining the features of each line. He was very upfront about pricing and made sure I had all the information I needed to choose the proper jersey. I felt very welcomed in the store, even though I'm not a part of the cycling community! Unfortunately I purchased the wrong size, so I headed back to the store for an exchange. Anki helped me look for a larger size, but the location was out of stock. She looked up other locations that had the item I wanted, and she gave me as much information as she could to help me secure the new size. She was so friendly and helpful, and she made sure to return my item at full price, as it had gone on sale since I purchased it. I called the New York store (also great customer service) and they were able to have the item shipped directly to my house. Overall, I have had great experiences with the Rapha community, and I will definitely be back to buy gifts in the future. Thanks team Rapha for all of your help this holiday season!

Without a doubt, This place is worthy of the product, while being a good spokesperson for the sport and products. The staff is casually authentic and helpful. Assuming you know the product and the nuances of buying tight, clothing that must function as what they were designed for, then you know that it would be near impossible to walk in and buy your significant a gift. Unless they tell you their size in this company! The store/hangout/cafe or whatever is just like a club atmosphere. I give this a 5 star without them trying. It's just authentic without the snobbery.

Love the shop location but the customer service wasn't great. I popped in to buy a gift but they didn't have the right size so I asked them to order me the item to be sent to the store. They told me about a week. I checked in after a week, it seemed like they didn't even have a record of my order. Waited another week. I decided to order online because I assume they forgot about me. I was right, I never heard from them. Cool gear, my friend loved her gift but I wouldn't shop here again.

Ok (1) despite its reputation for designer wear rapha is actually reasonably well priced for women's bike wear once you examine the fabric & features. It's rare to find women's jerseys at this price point and quality. Women's versions of jerseys have zippered pockets which are weird details other women specific companies remove for the comparabie version of the men's. and (2) rapha doesn't do this thing where they do a kickass colorway for the men's line then a totally scary and universally ugly color way for women and then you have to only buy black. I still don't get this practice but I guess it either sells and American women aren't Milan fashionistas with a good grasp of design history. What's weird is they let you custom design your jersey if you want but of all the cycling lines for women in the industry you really don't need to because they generally have great color ways and designs for women. In fact the colors aren't different from the men's! So no need to only buy black Most athleisure makes me look like a stuffed sausage and I'm considered fit for an American. I'm a little chubby in France or Italy but that's another matter ! But the rapha size small is super flattering without being baggy on me and it's just nice to have access to beautiful materials and colors as a woman as the women specific stuff is frankly pretty frightening in most women's athletic wear . I definitely don't trust the women who give feedback to most sports companies but the ones at rapha seem to be not design impaired. They also don't do this thing where they try to force me to have a womanly waist figure (I don't really have one so that rules! It's just great quality stuff for a decent price. It's worth it - not as cheap as fast fashion or course but it works hard for its money. And it totally functions on 40 mile bike rides through mud on a mountain bike even when it's made for road cyclists!

Great service, above and beyond. Although their brand of gear can be a tad more expensive over other stores, you get great quality!

Rapha has been my coffee stop for the better part of 7 years and it's still my favorite in town. Perhaps it's because I'm a moderate cycling enthusiast but, either way it's a great stop for a proper pull of espresso on my way to the office downtown. The best part about this place is the parklet outside on a sunny day. There's plenty of seating and offers different tiers, depending on how you want to consume your cup of joe. They recently changed their roaster from Four Barrel to Bicycle Coffee from Oakland and it's a little bit of a downgrade but, not enough to knock this place down to 4 stars...I love it.

rude and pretentious. The customer service isn't great here. I ended up just going home and ordering what I needed from the online store.

I love Rapha. This is a great location to start a ride across the golden gate bridge. If you're visiting from out of town this is a great starting point. I love their coffee and their rental fleet here. Parking is my only complaint as it tends to be busy around here but other than that this is a great store that has been around for quite some time. Their gear is top notch. If you get to SF and you think it is warm like Los Angeles you can pick up a high quality jacket here. The bibs and jackets are rapha are fantastic.

I was intimidated by this place at first, all that tight flashy gear and calf musculature! But below for a bunch of years they've had some nice management, down to earth and friendly employees. Their really helpful with gear. Their new collections are beautiful and I love biking, so their in my favs. Plus good coffee and tea.

The store looks great, but what can you expect from luxe brand Rapha? Oh, I know what- friendlier employees! Literally walked in and got kicked out because they were"closed". Maybe it helps to say "sorry, we're closed" or better yet just close the door so no one walks in. Maybe I'll have some luck next time and get to experience some customer service.

This place has a cafe?! I am no cyclist (maybe some day), but I totally respect the Rapha clubhouse concept. The almond milk latte I ordered was awesome. Thanks Adam. I was pretty impressed by the sheer variety of Rapha branded products. The service was friendly, too. I enjoyed sitting out on the quirky clubhouse bench outside the clubhouse. As it was explained to me, the cafe is a place where cyclists gather. It's also an homage of sorts to the Italian heritage of cycling (think espresso). Looking forward to returning.

I really like this place for several reasons. I can get a good advice from Alan (he helped me on 2 different occasions), try different sizes (jerseys and gloves- dressing room is still closed, but you have 3 months to return unused items so you can try them at home. Not as convenient, but better then buying on line and returning on line). Everything is designed and made very well. I just wish that if I am paying $270 for bib shorts from European company, they were not made in China... If you need great cycling clothing and willing to pay for it premium prices, this is a great place.

Thank you Evan for being so patient with me today. I had the best experience purchasing some padded bibs and jerseys here at the SF store. Got super lucky as they had XXS in stock. Great staff, selection and very friendly. Will definitely come back when they receive their spring collection! Highly recommend working with Evan!

Love the store, staff and products. Highly recommend for anyone looking to give Rapha products a try. Felt very safe with the COVID protocols in-place at the store.

It's more of a boutique store with a coffee shop inside. They don't really carry a variety of sizes at least my size since I'm on the bigger end of Rapha kits. As far as the employees go I don't mind if I have to go to them and ask a question when I need to and hate it when I'm looking around and get asked several times if I need help. They're fine and very helpful when asked. The awesome thing they do is group rides. There fun and very well thought out. Rapha is expensive so don't bother going in and looking for a deal, it's better got go online to shop but they have quality products.

This seems to be the local bikers hangout (push biker). There is bike and spandex as far as the eye can see. A lot of rides seem to start and end here. I always drop in when I'm walking past for a coffee, the service is sometimes pretty slow but the coffee is good. At least while waiting you can watch whatever bike tour is happening on the TV or shop for some bike clothes/gear. There is plenty of seating outside and inside too.

My (cyclist) husband is in love with this place! I just nailed my Christmas gift to him which was an annual membership to the RCC. With the membership you get access to rent their sick bikes (for a small fee), free coffee and lots of other little perks. I came in to shop for him and had no idea about their club membership. The sweet guy working there could tell I had no idea what to purchase and very kindly described it to me! The shop has beautiful clothing and accessories for cycling. There is a cafe and lovely seating upstairs. All the people that work there are friendly and not the typical pretentious cycling types. I am so excited to have my husband enjoy his membership to the RCC in 2017!

Pretty good cup of coffee. They also have plenty of expensive spandex. Their baked goods change every now and then, but typically aren't amazing. There is ample outdoor seating thanks to the wacky looking vintage bus parklet. I always enjoy basking in the sun here (assuming it's out) while slurping down a macchiato or two. Plenty of bike parking too (duh!).

Came in looking for a jersey and purchased one as Rapha is known for great products and I love the bibs. I want to give higher stars but the folks working weren't friendly or helpful, they didn't even really say hello. Disappointing as my experience in the Seattle Rapha was really great. Many reviews below say similar, something needs to change!

Strictly a review for the coffee portion. Good coffee, ritual chocolate, good selection of drinks and pastry and quiche, and a friendly barista. Only thing is it's kind of a disappointment to get a $6 10 oz iced mocha when the chocolate isn't mixed in well. There were just chunks of it all at the bottom of the cup. If its not going to be properly mixed into the espresso so that it melts, I'd suggest getting a squeeze bottle and shaking the chocolate with a little hot water to make a syrup. That's what we did with Tcho chocolate at shops I used to work in and it makes everything easy. The chocolate gets integrated and you don't have to mix anything!

Needed a little java fast while staying in the neighborhood. A local passerby pointed to Rapha - just 7 steps away. I had passed it a couple of times but presumed it was simply a bike shop. Turned out that and coffee/tea/pastries. Trendy and feels-good kind of place. Most patrons appeared to be cyclists. Ideal location. 2 miles or so from Golden gate and my favorite neighborhood - Marina. If in the neighborhood, check it out, definitely if you are a cyclist. Otherwise, snack/drinks are pretty average. 5 star because of location and worldwide chapters - neat way to explore places and know locals if you ask me.

This place is amazing. I always get a latte when I go, and it is easily one of the best in the city in my opinion. The staff is also quite friendly. John has helped me in the past, but I have also had terrific service from the others in the shop. But perhaps my favorite part of this shop is that you are meant to bring your bike inside. They even have several wheel slots to park your bike. Most bikes inside are actually really nice, so you can definitely spend a lot of time just admiring the bikes that people park inside. This shop also sells Rapha gear for biking. It is pretty pricey, but from my understanding, it is some of the highest quality stuff out there. I ponied up for a set of arm warmers for $50, and I absolutely love them. I actually fell while riding my bike not too long ago. Every article of clothing I was wearing was damaged with at least a rip somewhere. My arm warmers, however, were unscathed. Maybe it was the way that I fell, but I am going to keep telling myself that it was because of their quality. I can safely say that I love everything about this place from the atmosphere to the gear to the drinks!

Awesome little local spot. I had a Gibraltar and it was top notch! The pastries were pretty good.

I went here looking to drop some money on a bib and shirt. I was there for 5 minutes and walked out. Customer service was not helpful and very short with answers. I am sorry I am not a male competitive cyclist. Went to another high end retailer and spent my $600 there instead.

The shop has been great during the lock down, especially with the online shop and clubhouses somewhat "diverging" in terms of returns and exchanges etc. Allen is the man and always helps me a ton finding inventory and consulting on styles when I pop by. It's always a nice surprise to find things that are available in the shop that are sold out online. Retail ain't easy right now so I'm glad to see these folks thriving.

Coffee shop of the store was really cool! Good wifi, cool space and a community which is passionate about cycling. Was nice to do some work here accompanied by cycling news that came from the speakers ^.^

You know that old adage regarding bike shop snobbery? Well, it lives and breathes here. I think the person who first observed the cyclist's cold shoulder, the "I'm WAY too skilled to be serving you" aura must have been referencing Rapha- or Rapha execs sought out that vibe in their shop. Not only were the employees too important for customer service, the clientele was stuffy and self-important. Yes their clothing is amazingly comfortable and stylish. And yes, they outfitted a few Tour de France winners (and 90% of Marin cyclist) but does that entitle a small shop to snobbery? The 2 stars are for the clothing- but I'd hesitate to perpetuate their holier-than-thou attitudes for a pair of fleece-lined bib shorts. I'm sure there's something better out there.

What happened, Rapha? Your store looks like crap. It feels like there is 30% less merch available. Less is not more in this case. I miss the interior bike racks and the large table. Now there's some crappy couch and rando seating. It now feels less like a shrine to cycling and more like a garage sale.

Three stars, because one guy let me hang my bike inside. No one offered help or asked me if I needed anything. They sat on the computer. Not a friendly staff when I went in. Maybe I caught them on a rough day, but I hope there's better customer service on other days.

Really cool shop with such friendly staff. They have great cycling clothing, a Saturday group ride, they serve coffee, have an awesome seating area, and an upstairs art installation. And bike parking inside!

Entire staff is 10/10! Great service and high quality products. Whether you cycle frequently or not it's a great place to pick up some cycling 101 tips, especially if you're just getting into cycling or are visiting town and looking to ride. Membership is definitely worth it for the coffee and awesome bike rentals. Where else can you rent a $4-7k bike for $25 a day (+tax)? Maybe a family friend but otherwise nowhere. Mikes Bikes charges $100 and sports basement around $75 for much lesser bikes. I've been to 3-4 Rapha locations and this is my favorite by far. Great little cafe if you want some WiFi and coffee to work remote or read a book. Note hat the cafe typically closes around 4:30 but you can still buy cycling goods until close.

I wouldn't necessarily consider myself to be a coffee snob, but OH. MY. GOD. Rapha has THE best coffee in sf. WAY better than that burnt brown water at the roastery up the block. I've become so spoiled by working down the street from them that on my days off I honestly consider commuting an hour from the outer mission to the marina just for the coffee. Everyone that works there is so friendly and down to earth, it's a pleasure to see them every day! I know nothing about cycling, but I assume they know what they're talking about on that front too. Moral of the story is go to rapha, have a delicious almond milk latte, rejoice.

Great visit to the Rapha Store this weekend. Had a great machiato, cookie and 2 days of SF riding on a beautiful RCC Canyon bike. Got to watch the Dauphine even! Bought a great vest too. Great coffee!!!!

Oh my, lovely! We went in here after our only bad food experience (won't mention here but already reviewed!). After a glorious week in San Fran, we didn't want to end on a bad taste. Our first visit here meant ending with a good taste! It's rare for me to drink cappuccino as 1. People don't make it right 2. I only like it for breakfast, or even before breakfast, the way the Italian coffee Gods intended! But as I was trying to forget the breakfast I just had, this was a fitting way to re-boot my day. It worked a trick! It was slow service on a Saturday late morning, despite there being 2 staff for just a handful of seats inside and outside. (This is after all a cycle shop - what's with all these cycling coffee shops? I went to one in Vancouver too!). I wouldn't call the staff happy either (what's with that too? Seen it in so many indie coffee houses in the city!) but the coffee was good, the service courteous and l loved that the regulars have actual mugs with their names on. Been trying to get my local to do that for years!

I am torn because I really want to give this Rapha location a higher rating, but I really don't think the service I received warrants a higher score. So I travel a bit and if there is a Rapha location where I am, I like to check it out because I am a cyclist and you can often ogle at the local riders' bikes while you hang out. So far, this is the third Rapha location I have been to and in terms of bike watching, this Rapha spot does not disappoint like the others I have been to. Where this shop falters compared to the other locations is service. Sure, you can't beat the Japanese in terms of customer service (omg the Tokyo location is pretty perfect), and even in NYC, my boyfriend at the time received attentive service in a busy store while trying on kits. When I came to the SF location while traveling alone, I wanted to try on jerseys myself because I was in the market for a new one. First, there were no extra smalls on display. There were a couple guys working in the shop, but one was too busy chatting with his friends to offer me help and the other never said anything even though I was pretty much staring him down. So I just grabbed a couple smalls and asked for the dressing room. The shop guy pointed around the corner, as if I should have known. Uh, sorry, but I didn't. Since the small didn't work, I had to wait around to ask for an XS. At this point, the shop guy was polite enough and got it from the back. Overall, I expected more in service considering some Rapha wares can be pricier and because my experiences at the other stores were nicer. Hopefully my age, gender, and not being on a bike weren't factors in my experience, but I have felt neglected at male-dominated bike shops before. I'll skip this outpost if I want to shop for myself again, but would possibly come back for coffee and bike-spotting.

This place is definitely a must-go for peeps that ride bikes. Their products are sky-high as could be expected by any Rapha products, but that's not the point. This place is a place where cyclists and even non-cyclists alike can hang out and enjoy the relaxed-yet-up kept atmosphere. The espresso here is actually super high quality, and the upstairs seating is perfect for enjoying a cappuccino and getting some work done on your laptop or whatever. The guys here are also super inviting and friendly, as they should be in such a retail environment. But they also were friendly in a personal way, which for was nice. The only down-side is it's slightly weird location, but it's not even that bad. Maybe better if closer to a BART station or had a better way for bikes to get there, but yea it's all good, they can't help it.

Best cycling clothes and cappuccinos here. I'm a cycling enthusiast and this is the only brand I wear. If you have Rapha membership, you can get unlimited coffees here. They also host group rides and events. Wonderful!

Rapha's reputation for snobbery isn't actually true. It's NOT snobbery, because snobbery means that their level of tune and knowledge is so advanced, that they cannot help but critique and hold their head to a higher level of consciousness/expectation. And really, snobbery is with good intentions. See Bike Snob NYC, for example. Instead, what a cyclist will get at Rapha is pricing out of line for spandex and synthetic fabric combined with the poorest customer service (if you can define sitting or standing while doing nothing in an empty store as customer service). Surly is a good trait, but do not credit Rapha with snobbery, surly behavior, or attitude. These are traits above the poor representation of "customer service" that is at the core of Rapha's poor reputation. Rapha isn't a creator of culture or of product, it's a phony. I've never seen or heard of a cycle club, bike product related store, that doesn't allow you to have your bike along with you while shopping. And in an empty store? Restaurants, cafes, Levi's downtown SF packed on a black Friday, for crying out loud!!! They allow bikes inside. Blonde guy, blonde girl, you fail. Not bike friendly? You will not get my business. Pretentiousness and snobbery are Rapha's reputation that I hear repeated from well respected cyclists that actually ride. However, two visits in a row experiencing poor service or a lack of retail environment commerce ability are so repulsive to my taint that I have to a) let you know to avoid this place and b) assure that I will never step foot in this fake cycling club again. Do not let the posters on the walls gain any trust that Rapha creates culture. The best offering to the tight knit cycling community that this "cycle club" offers is the public domain/access parklet in front. Deuces and please fall off the face of the Earth, soon.

So I have actually never been to this cycle club. However, for a place I have never been to, this store has THE BEST customer service literally in America. I live in Los Angeles and I was looking for some cycling team t-shirts. So I emailed the store and asked them a few questions. Not only did the staff respond back to me, they also made great recommendations AND called me when they think it was better to ask me questions on the phone. I was totally shocked and really thankful for this extra mile. When it turns out one of the shirts I ordered needed a size exchange, the store staff called me right away when they received my return/exchange package. It is extremely rare for a store to be this nice to its customers. So fantastic. I love the human interaction even it wasn't in-person. A highly recommend. Cheers, Emily

Nice design, nice products. Bought here a bunch of stuff, yet the staff is pretty mediocre. Funny hipsters wanting to seem stronger and better by acting indifferent towards their clientele. Its interesting to me why would a high end brand with such good products and such a potential market want to screw it up with their customers by hiring such a crappy group of lame and incompetent kids. OWNERS, read the rest of the reviews people have left and do something about it. You seem serious and decent, so hire a staff that lives up to those standards.

I'm a big fan of Rapha Cycle Club for the following reasons: 1. The vibe is unique. Walk by & you may think it's just a cycle shop, but it's much more! Rapha has coffee drinks, some snacks, & great space for meeting someone or working for a bit. The noise level isn't too loud to be distracting, but enough to add some liveliness to the place. 2. The outdoor seating is fun on a sunny day. Much more creative than simply putting out tables & chairs. 3. There's an upstairs area with a high bar, perfect for working standing up. It took me awhile to discover the upstairs - it's a hidden gem! 4. It's close to my apartment, so when I want a place closer to home to work or hang out for a bit, it's perfect! 5. The service is friendly! 6. Great for cyclists, since you can bring & store your bike inside & pick up some gear while you're there! The one thing I'd love to see Rapha do is diversify the menu a bit. As a tea drinker, I'd love to see more tea options in the future! Their Wifi is OK, though sometimes sketchy or takes a bit to get working. Keep up the great Rapha!

Dissed by Rapha - someone should use this for a standup routine! Looking at some of the latest posts I am glad it's not just me feeling this way! I used to like swinging by here for a coffee and a tasty pastry treat (like all the time). I even bought some cool gifts for cycle friends, but the atmosphere definitely changed, since the early days when Rapha moved to town. There used to be "grown ups" working there (& a nice gal, too), but these days It feels like the store is run by a bunch of too-cool-for-school kids who could care less about customer service or product experience. And mind you, Rapha products do not come cheap! What's with store staff not interrupting some oh-so important hipster story while a potential customer (& obivous cyclist) is scanning the store for product help? What's with hipster mustache guy rolling eyes behind another customer's back [for all to see!] - a customer who is in the process of purchasing a jersey & a pair of gloves? Just two scenes observed while sipping my last cappuccino the other day and unfortunately the list could go on ... So, farewell, Rapha Cycle Club. Great concept, awesome product, terrible execution.

this place is awesome! a lot of the bad reviews are from people who come here solely for coffee which is cool (the coffee is great) but they don't even realize it's a cycling club. one lady said she came in with all her shit and plopped it on the table looking for a computer charger & was upset she didn't get the service she expected. but really just imagine that image in your head. I can't help but chuckle. the sad part is she got to leave a bad review & she had no idea what business she even walked into. I mean I don't walk into a Ferrari dealership & complain about the selection of donuts. people are weirdos sometimes. back to the awesomeness tho. Fabian (spelling?) is probably the coolest and most helpful person I talked to in the whole Bay Area about cycling. Honestly. I'm a big guy trying to get in shape like Ethan Suplee (not as big but damn that boy a walking inspiration!) & Fabian not only helped me feel comfortable shopping for skin tight lycra but also gave me hella tips on cycling. this guy could have handed me a bib and rang me up but he went out of his way to make me feel like a friend /homie. he honestly talked to me for 10-15 mins after the transaction giving me suggestions on pedals & other tips. that is the reason I why I'm only going to shop at Rapha and why I already recruited my personal friends to shop there in less than 24 hrs after my first purchase. Rapha has an set image and an awesome vision/mission. It may not be for everybody and the price point def will put people in their feelings ( a lot of haters can't afford what they want) but if you want the best performing product that looks exceptional in its minimalism and attention to detail, Rapha is the answer. the ONLY answer.

Rapha has either saved me or ruined me on cycling jerseys -- after buying a few of their club jerseys and getting used to the merino material, I just can't wear the lycra any more, and the usual style of cycle-wear -- looking a bit like a cross between a nascar driver and a candy bar -- just feels ridiculous. The softshell jacket is first-rate as well. The SF Rapha store is also the only place I know that still carries ROULEUR magazine, now that Palo Alto Bikes has let go of it. Did I mention coffee?

Shockingly rude and disrespectful employees!! What a shame, because I really do like the Rapha concept and products. Please. please, find employees who actually understand the basics of customer service: smile, make eye contact, offer assistance, etc. Wow, the guys there seem more interested in their smartphones and themselves than making customers feel welcome or offering assistance. I hope management reads these reviews and rectifies the issue, because the store has so much promise, other than the arrogant self-absorbed employees.

Awesome place for cyclists! Saturday morning rides, coffee and great cycling clothing! I purchased a couple shirts and a cycling Pro Jersey for my rides. Couldn't be happier with the quality or experience.

Just don't purchase the RCC membership or renew it, they want people to buy it individually so they can profit of it. I cancelled mine cause they can't honor the sale price after I placed all the orders for nine RCC members from our group. All of us has committed to disown the membership and never buy the RCC kits again. They should of known the bay area has many Asian cycling groups and we spent more money than any nationalities when comes to any designer brand products. Read my reviews from 9/8/2018, they tried to cover up used the previous reviews to updated. (Provide great service is not by taking advantage of your loyal customers).

Coffee is really expensive and nothing better than any other coffee shop except that it is in a bike shop. Good price foe the neighborhood folks. Compared with Le Marais on Chestnut street the coffee us better there for the same price.
