Rasa

"Weekly visits to this gastropub might not be enough. Truly, few restaurants feel this relaxed and cook with so much gusto. Are you curious about those chickpea fritters with lemon mascarpone and wasabi or the truffle gnudi with pesto? You should be. Sea bream ceviche with chili oil is as bold as lamb vindaloo dumplings. In the end, no one cuisine can claim this endlessly tempting menu that delivers hearty, unfussy flavors in abundance. And yes, the burger is as good as it looks, the tender patty made with beef cheek, grilled, and served on house made brioche smeared in gochujang mayo. In total, the portions are generous so bring friends; the flavors are big so bring an appetite; and the satisfaction is high so count on a return visit." - Michelin Inspector

Rasa - Review - Harbord Village - Toronto - The Infatuation

"Rasa has an always-changing menu that doesn’t stick to one cuisine, and you’ll regularly find things like lamb bacon and truffle gnudi with foie gras listed next to brussels sprouts with cauliflower cheese and scotch bonnet vinegar. The interior can be described as sort of ‘industrial-chic,’ but you should sit on the airy patio when you can, especially for Sunday brunch." - Katie Diamond

Booked a weeknight dinner at Rasa to celebrate a friend's birthday. Perfect sharing portions for a group of four. And of course, the food was delicious! Our favourite dish was the chickpea fritters - so yum! Special shout-out to their sticky bun dessert, which was the perfect way to end off our dinner.

Google
I had a wonderful experience. The food is varied, flavorful and tasty. The portions are large so three dishes is good for 2 people. If you are getting the stick toffee bun, then count that as a dish. The servers are friendly and the service is efficient. The atmosphere is warm and the decor is beautiful.

RASA is the kind of place that immediately sets the tone for a great evening. The vibe strikes a perfect balance—industrial-chic with just the right touch of warmth, making it feel both stylish and inviting. Our server, Matthew, was incredible—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He introduced us to the summer tasting menu, which turned out to be an absolute delight. Each dish was creative and beautifully plated, but I have to give a special shoutout to the chop salad. It was crisp, refreshing, and absolutely packed with flavor—easily one of the best I’ve had. Between the ambiance, the stellar service, and the thoughtful dishes, RASA more than delivered. Book reservations ahead. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Google
We got the 6 course tasting menu and wine pairing which offered fair sharing portions and a well balanced selection of dishes. While the dishes had good flavours with Asian influences, we found everything tasted way too salty. The service was mostly okay but inconsistent, sometimes a food or drink would be dropped off without explanation of what it is. I generally like their food concepts but this time around wasn’t the best.

Google
Delicious food and very unique options. I generally prefer meat but the vegetarian options were the favourites by far. The staff are attentive and professional. Very friendly. The portions are very decent too. Chickpea fritters were the most tasty in my opinion. The burger was very heavy on the meaty side. A little too gamey actually. Everything else we had was nice.

Google
Our server was excellent from start to finish. We really appreciate the care he took with my partner's vegetarianism to make sure she could eat everything she wanted. We ordered the chopped salad, burger, kabocha ravioli, and custard tart. Everything was delicious! The salad and burger especially were some of the best things I've ever eaten! We also got a few cocktails as part of their tiki hour. They were really good, and quite strong so it feels like you're getting your money's worth! Overall, can't recommend this place enough. Keep up the amazing work!

I dined here for Father’s Day 2025 and have to say that this is the most incredible dining experience I have ever had, hands down. As a family of 5, we picked out 8 of the recommended dishes, which were lavishly done. “Every flavour is so complex, with so much going on!”, exclaimed my sister cheerfully. I would have to agree! I found each dish incredibly clean, well-plated, and bursting with complex and delicate flavours. It was to the degree where you could lick the dish clean if you so desired. For the 5 of us, we spent $120 after a small tip at the end. I think we achieved this by ordering 8 completely unique dishes, and then mostly equally sharing them among us. However, it is easy to eat upwards of $60 per person in smaller parties, like in duos or trios. For the service, I booked this reservation a week in advance to dining. I managed to snipe 1 of the 2 remaining spots, which brought us to enjoy the calm outdoors. I’m grateful for the incredible air quality today and comfortable temperature. We were served by 3 different waiters/waitresses working alongside (just for our table). They always gracefully explained the composition of each dish upon serving them, and readily poured us water refills and offered us to change our cutlery and plates with a fresh set, with pleasure. I found this tremendously (*almost*) rewarding to witness and experience. This restaurant was awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand, and I will have to vouch that the award is truthful to the restaurant’s nature. My only concern for improvement is for RASA to increase the frequency of their text-sms responses, but it is clear to me that they have regularly been quite busy! If you are planning to find a special restaurant for a notable occasion and would like to choose RASA, I highly recommend planning ahead for spots/a reservation. I also genuinely and earnestly recommend this place; they are modest despite the higher price range, racking up a 4.7-star review (as of writing this) without necessarily openly promoting customers to review their restaurant highly. This is an impressive feat many restaurants fail to achieve. Back to our father’s day dinner… at the end of our dining time, our server provided us with a delicious icecream-cake-like dessert. Because we celebrated father’s day, he called this “on the house” — so I thought that was extremely cool. Great place. I don’t usually bother to do reviews to lots of places I’ve experienced; however, it would be a disgrace for me not to write this one for RASA :) .

Google
Stumbled on this spot while Googling "best Toronto restaurants" and was lucky to get a same day reservation. It's a casual, hip spot with warm, friendly service. We tried the summer tasting menu and it kept getting better as it progressed. Our favs were the chopped salad and the Rasa burger. Would absolutely recommend and return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yelp
This was probably the best meal we had in Toronto. My husband found this restaurant on the Michelin bib gourmand list while we were in town for our anniversary and I'm so glad he did! There was great variety of food and it was all so delicious. They were also able to accommodate his gluten allergy. He got the steak tartare (I unfortunately could not have it bc I'm pregnant but he said it was good!) and we shared the calamari and short rib. All were so good. He also go the green bean dish that was just ok. For our anniversary they brought us some complimentary chocolate ice cream which was so rich!

Yelp
I don't say this often or lightly, but this might have been one of the best meals I've ever had. From the service to the cocktails to the ambience to the (of course) food. The meat dishes all stood out, but don't sleep on the ceviche or the desserts! The mango rita comes with a whole slice of dehydrated mango. The short rib, steak tartare and lobster ravioli were all amazing bites... And the price is right!

Yelp
I made a reservation at the beginning of May for the end of the month with the intention of trying the tasting menu. However, after seeing reviews mention that their tasting menu ends in the summer, I contacted them inquiring about the last day (which happened to be mid-May). Since they offer half portions on many dishes, I opted to go with that instead, but was pleasantly surprised when the menu introduced the "summer experience", a tasting that started just the previous day! For $55, you get 8 courses plus your choice of one of three desserts on their menu! Talk about an amazing value. We started with the amuse-bouche, a bite-sized cheese bread with crème fraiche (the perfect savoury starter). Next we had the steak frites tartare, another bite-sized course that came with tallow potato topped with tartare, bearnaise, and chive. With the crisp of the potato and creaminess of the sauce, it was one of the best tartares I've had - coming from someone who orders tartare at every establishment that offers it. I only wish there was more! While the chopped salad was decent, the spicy ceviche was our favourite of the night. The sea bream covered in chilli sauce, sesame snaps, peanuts, yuzu, and Thai basil was a flavour explosion. My one critique is that it could use something on the side (bread?) to soak up the sauce as there was an abundance of toppings/sauce. The chickpea fritters came in a close third place. The country short ribs were the only dish that fell short of expectation, as they were quite dry. The truffle gnudi was served with a walnut pesto and parmesan crisps. Finally, we had the infamous Rasa burger where each ingredient (bread, sauce, and kimchi included) was made in-house. The burger was seasoned well, cooked to a medium-rare, and quite meat-heavy. At this point, we were extremely full and asked for a to-go box for the dessert. We chose the sticky bun which we enjoyed later that night. A tasting menu at this price is unheard of, especially with the amount of food we were served and the elevated dishes made with quality ingredients. Do yourself a favour and come check it out before it's gone!

Yelp
The shared food setup, preparation, and flavors at Rasa were SO GOOD!!! Very tasty flavors all the way around and high quality, inventive ingredients and preparation. Minus one star for drink delays and timing. There was a significant amount of time between our drink order being made and our food order, yet the amuse bouche and our first 2 plates came before our drinks. Admittedly this is a major downer for me when dining. If you don't mind it, ignore me. The amuse bouche was a fluffy, crispy cheese puff that tasted almost exactly like a Cheeto (my friends said this) or an extra toasted Cheez It (this is what I tasted). Such a good start! Our dishes then started coming and the sharing concept kicked in. We had chickpea fritters: the best my friend said he has ever had, crispy-fluffy-spicy goodness. Both rib preparations (beef and pork) were cooked and spiced to perfection and oh so tender. The only dish we had that was unremarkable was the tartare. I'd go back for sure to see whatever new things the chefs at Rasa came up with!

Yelp
Be sure to make a reservation because this place was fully booked. The ambiance of the restaurant was laid-back but nice. Service was extremely attentive. Rasa is known for their small sharing plates and they recommend 2 to 3 dishes per person for a full meal. There are also options for a classic tasting menu ($65 pp) which consists of six of their sharing plates and a dessert, or the full experience which consists of eight of their sharing plates ($85 pp) which includes some of the more luxurious options, and a dessert the portions are catered towards the size of your group. We opted for the full experience, which included the spicy, sea bream ceviche, chopped salad, smoked trout, sweet potatoes, cheesy ravioli (which is not on the regular menu), ribs, poached salmon, and steak. For dessert, you can choose from one of the three options. We opted for the sticky bun. The dishes that stood out to us the most were the spicy sea bream ceviche and chopped salad. The ceviche had such a delicious Thai spicy peanut sauce and bits of sesame snaps which added a nice sweetness and crunch. The chopped salad, although doesn't look special, was one of the tasty salads I've had in a while. The crunchy harissa chickpeas really made the dish. A special mention for the deboned ribs as well as they were extremely tender. Everything was delicious and well thought out. I would definitely come back. I think the tasting menu is a great value and we were stuffed by the end of it.

Yelp
We got so lucky with this place! All the reservations were fully booked, but we decided to try our luck and walked in, and we got seated. Total win! The vibe inside is really cool, kind of rustic but still cozy. We ordered several things, the chickpea fritters, spicy ceviche, calamari, Cobb salad, branzino, chicken Milanese, and ribs. Everything was solid, but the branzino was definitely the standout. The ceviche and ribs were also big hits at our table. Awesome food, great service, and a cool space.

Yelp
This was the second time going to Rasa and Rasa does not disappoint! We had the seasonal tasting menu to try the newer dishes with a couple classics. Each dish was presented beautifully with exquisite flavours, a well thought combination of textures, and well portioned. We had the pleasure of having: a cheese bread with a mousse, chopped salad (classic menu item), spicy ceviche (classic menu item), mezcal cured trout, country style ribs with adobo sauce, ravioli, crispy sweet potatoes, hangar steak, and s'more ice cream. The classic menu items are can't miss and I really enjoyed all the dishes, the country ribs stood out to me, tender and packed with flavour. There were a lot of strong flavours as well as soft proteins and flavours. The ambiance of the restaurant is rustic, casual, and comfortable. You can dress up or dress down and still not feel out of place. It's a great place for a nice night out. The staff were really responsive and made sure to explain the menu and great descriptions of each dish. They were attentive to everything from bringing the dish, removing used dishes, and keeping our water cups topped up! Great service!

Yelp
Dissappointed to say the least - I had been recommended this spot so many times that I had to check it out but I'm really surprised by the Michelin recommendation. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive, and the food was unbelievably average. I think this place used to be amazing, but has since downgraded in terms of quality quite a bit - I had seen photos of their various octopus dishes but when I ordered it, you could barely tell octopus was even featured in the dish! The plate was covered in a mountain of chorizo sausage with maybe 4 small piece of octopus Definitely not coming back anytime soon

Yelp
Wow! Visiting Toronto and wanted to get out a bit from downtown and saw some great reviews for Rasa. We had the salad, ceviche, chickpea fritters and key lime ice cream sandwich. Everything was fresh, amazing and innovative. We hadn't had anything like any of the dishes. Best dinner anywhere in a loooong time. Highly recommended

Yelp
No one checked in about the food during the dining experience. Was overpriced and food was not worth it. Regretted getting their sticky bun, which I was looking forward to the most. It was room temperature and very dry.

Jihoon C.

Yelp
We ordered four dishes, which came with an amuse-bouche--a Brazilian cheese bun. It was a lovely little dish that elevated our expectations for the subsequent courses. For starters, we had a chopped salad and spicy ceviche, which I would say was the highlight of the entire meal. The spicy ceviche was my favourite and is a must-try. It had influences from southeastern cuisine, which I thoroughly enjoyed. For the main course, we ordered truffle gnudi and a Rasa burger. As a fellow Korean, I found the Rasa burger appealing to my taste buds, and it's definitely worth trying. If I go back again--and I'm sure I will--I would order different dishes, but not because any were bad. One of the staff suggested that the fish dishes are great, so next time I will try those. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely revisit it.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! In Toronto for the weekend and so glad we kept checking for reservations. Scored a spot at the bar and was able to sit in the front window. A great way to also watch people on the street. Things start out with a tasty little amuse bouche - a bit sized cheese bread with jalapeño (I missed the actual description). I wasn't thrilled to order a "chopped salad" but this isn't you're average chop - its full of fresh flavor and truly unique. The spicy ceviche was also a top choice since it truly different from any ceviche I've ever had. Certainly no complaints about the truffle gnudi or chickpea fritter either. Service was incredibly welcoming and walked us through each dish. Will definitely make a stop back on my next trip to try more dishes.

Yelp
One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto! I've come here a couple times and they nail everything from the food to service, all in a cozy casual atmosphere. You really can't go wrong with any of their dishes, though there are some standouts for sure including the chopped salad, spicy ceviche, korean inspired burger, chickpea fritter, brussel sprouts, and sticky bun. But really everything is great. On our latest trip I went with a big group and Rasa was super accommodating to every dietary restriction (thanks Paige and Ken!) and everyone was super happy with our dinner. The food itself is not pretentious at all which I really love - it's simple, quality ingredients, which have been truly elevated. Everything you eat pops with flavours and they do a beautiful job harmonizing different types of flavours together to create explosiveness in every bite. Can't wait to come back here!

Yelp
This place continues to be mind blowing. The staff are wonderful and helpful. The cocktails are so balanced and the food will be fantasizes about for weeks. We got two orders of the gnudi. The flavours and fractures are so wonderful. The rainbow trout was wonderful as were the crispy Brussel sprouts with cauliflower cheese. Unreal. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Food is always amazing. I forgot though that you should only go to Rasa when you can sit outside. Sitting inside it is dark which is ok but the musty stale smell is a turn-off. See you again in the summer.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Always a 10/10. We come to Toronto once every 1.5-2 years and always always always visit Rasa for dinner. The entire experience is unbeatable from the service, to the drinks, to the incredible food. The chop salad and ceviche are must haves imo. Don't sleep on Rasa -

Yelp
Perfect place with the option to order half plates since I wasn't very hungry when I went there. They don't have much options in their menu but whatever they had was yummy. Tried their truffle gnudi and lamb dumplings. As mentioned earlier, I was able to order half plate which was the right portion for me. They also offered a complementary savory which was good. A little too late Mocktail with yolk base was yum. Must try! It wasn't easy to get a spot in the restaurant as it is always crowded and they go by reservation.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my partner's birthday in September. Not knowing what the weather would be like, we booked an indoor table, but I wish we got to sit on the patio because it ended up being a warmer evening and Rasa's patio looked really nice. I had been to the Food Dudes' restaurant Sara before, and Rasa is quite the opposite (as are their names). I ate on the 2nd floor of Sara, which is bright white and minimal. Rasa is under street level, with moodier, bunker vibes. I had seen great reviews of Rasa's tasting menu online, but our waiter said they no longer serve set courses. We ended up getting: - Truffle gnudi - Chickpea fritter - Spicy ceviche - Rainbow trout - Duck breast My favourites were the ceviche and duck breast. The truffle gnudi was a little salty, but all other dishes were solid. For two people, 4-5 dishes is a good amount. A great spot for a unique, global menu.

Yelp
Great service, good food and atmosphere. Did the tasting menu at $65 CAD per person. Chopped salad, chickpea fritters (yummy), ceviche, truffle gnudi (yummy), grilled octopus (yummy) and rasa burger ( yummy). Desert was a sticky bun.. the best I ever had must get if you go.

Mique P.

Yelp
I don't write a lot of reviews but this place was awesome. I found it from other good reviews for a weekend trip to Toronto. We did the Classic Tasting Menu and it all looked incredible and tasted fantastic. The Sticky Bun was magical. So so good. The ambiance was cool but there was a party next to us that was insanely loud. So loud we couldn't hear each other at all. Our server was adorable and Alex the manager really took care of us. He went above and beyond.

Yelp
Came on vacay and this is the only reason I feel a draw to come back to Toronto THE best meal I've had... soooo delish, staff was very attentive, I enjoyed myself throughly. Don't you want to open a restaurant in the SF Bay Area? :)

Yelp
Recently tried their classic tasting menu here and it was delightful! Asian fusion is one of my favourites Started with 2 signature cocktails - pineapple cardamom Margarita and the apricot gin smash delicious and loved the flavours! Chopped salad was amazing - loved the combination of flavours, featuring quinoa, jalapeño feta, harissa chickpeas and sumac - love the latter two spices and just gives it a delightful spin on this salad Spicy ceviche was one of my favourites - featuring sea bream, peanut sauce, sesame brittle and Thai basil, what a beautiful combo of flavours and adds complexity to the ceviche~ Rasa burger and brussel sprouts - spouts were beautifully charred and paired with scotch bonnet vinegar, cauliflower cheese and fried onion. Burger was delicious with provolone cheese, with a twist of gochujang Mayo, pickles, scrapchi sandwiches between a brioche bun, it was delicious and super filling even just with half a burger! Truffle gnudi - I don't usually like gnocchi type things, but this was really good! With local mushroom, portobello soil, walnut pesto and Parmesan chips Then we move on to the other main - artic char - with parsnip, brown butter apple slaw and sage chimichurri, perfectly seared fish The dessert was amazing - pineapple upside down cake with a mascarpone semifreddo, ginger biscuit and pineapple curd. Perfectly delicious and light and fruity, a great way to end such a delicious and filling tasting menu~

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks to unwind on the weekend! We got seated on the north east side of the patio and it was gorgeous - sitting under a large tree with the patio lights made our experience. I tried their award winning cocktail "Down by the bay" and it was unlike anything I've ever tasted but loved it. The "where's the smoke margarita" was spicier than I expected and I like spice, so that threw me off a bit. Combined with the milder spiced lamb dumplings, it was a bit too much for my liking so I would avoid pairing those together. The pea pasta was extremely refreshing for a summer night and the beef cheek burger was my favourite. Overall, had an amazing time for a spontaneous Friday night out. The bill for 2 people after tax and tip was close to $150 (no dessert) a bit more than we planned to spend.

Yelp
If you want to feel like you were transported back into 2005 - come here. feels like it's about 15 years overdue for an update. Tacky lights on cieling, etc. The one saving grace is the buger - a solid 8/10. The rest of the menu is overpriced and mediocre. And the service is subpar. The last time I went will be the final time. I showed up early for my reservation and they informed me it had been cancelled without notice. No email, no call, no text. The place was half empty at 10pm on a Friday - not a good sign. I guess that's why they cancelled our reservation and closed the kitchen early. Skip this one and pick any other restaurant on the same street.

Yelp
A resounding 5 stars, people. I don't even know where to start with Rasa, everything from reservations to ambiance, food, and service was beyond all expectations. This restaurant does absolutely everything right and I will explain why we loved it so much. Firstly reservations are booked online through Bookenda, super easy and quick. Not a lot available on a Tuesday night but we snagged an 8:15pm reservation. Once booked we got a confirmation email right from the restaurant and on the day of I got a text from a real person confirming the reservation. I was even able to ask about the menu via text and got a prompt, friendly response. Super cool and convenient! We arrived and were seated at almost exactly 8:15, our waiter showed up with some water right away and explained the menu to us. We opted for the classic tasting menu having never been there before, we wanted to sample their more well-known dishes. Our server was genuine, friendly, professional and funny throughout. Him and the rest of the servers were amazing and knowledgeable about each food item. Now for the food, everything we ate from the tapioca bun to the dessert was a complete 10/10. The flavours and textures were so incredible; complex, comforting, familiar, yet new and exotic all at the same time. I couldn't believe how good everything tasted. Portion sizes were perfect and my husband and I have bigger appetites. Everything was phenomenal but our highlights were the burger and the sticky bun for dessert. I can go on all day about each individual dish but I'd be writing a novel if I did that. The restaurant is kind of cozy, rustic, but cool and modern at the same time. It's casual and down to earth. These aren't cheap eats but the value is 100% spot on. The tasting menu is $65/person but I think it was well worth it, considering dining anywhere in Toronto will often cost around that if not more. I don't know why I waited so long to dine here but it's a new favorite for sure, I'll be recommending Rasa to all my friends and family because it's too good to miss. This is a true gem and all the good reviews are truly deserved. I have not a single negative thing to say about this establishment. Overall just a genuine, delicious experience that everyone has to try!

Yelp
Rasa got a wonderful rustic cabin vibe going, and it pairs well with their flavourful menu. The ceviche was one of the best I've had; the Thai flavours were perfectly balanced and the seafood was incredibly fresh. And the chickpea fritters were the perfect accompaniment, with just the right amount of crunch and a delicious sauce that had my taste buds dancing with joy. The short rib and sunchokes were delicious, but the beef was definitely a bit overcooked. The attention to detail in every dish was simply incredible. Each plate was a work of art that tasted just as good as it looked. I could tell that the chefs had put a lot of thought and care into every element, from the presentation to the flavors and textures. And I have to give a special shoutout to the service team at Rasa. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about making our dining experience the best it could be. Overall, I cannot recommend Rasa highly enough. The food is exceptional, the service is outstanding, and the overall experience is definitely well worth your money!

Yelp
Went to Rasa after 5 years finally due to circumstances outside of my control *cough covid hit cough*. We ordered the chopped salad, rainbow trout and the rasa burger. We were served by Ken who was extremely attentive, accomodating as well as knowledgeable about each dish. It was also interesting to find out that the plateware was made by an employee who got into pottery and also engraved a thank you in a different language. The chopped salad was consistent with the last time, though i honestly dont remember grapes being in there the last time (according to my partner). The rainbow trout was a nice crispy skin and done very well. My partner found the onion's a tad too salty though, but was perfectly good to me. Rasa burger was a bit smaller than I remember, but it also came previously in a cast iron pan. It was juicy and good, though the bun did soak a bit too much juice at the bottom. The kitchen is super efficient. Like all our food came out in under 15 minutes. Would have liked to have a bit of time to digest in between courses, but i rather it come too fast than too late. The amuse bouche was very good and a great opening. They did actually honor the free sticky bun from my past review, despite the time skip. Greatly appreciated everything and was pleased with the dinner. Sticky bun was amazing in itself - I think paired with vanilla ice cream could be even better, but the cream was just as good (maybe chill it a bit?) Overall: Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Price point: 4/5 Overall: 13/15 Prices have gone up from the last time, which is unfortunate. But overall, highly recommended for a date night.

Kathy B.

Yelp
A relaxing not-too-loud setting and sincere service made our meal pleasant. Excellent advice from the servers on how many dishes to order for our party of four. We had hoped for the tasting menu, but it's unavailable in the summer months; the servers gave us some options for how to get to a similar experience. The food was okay-not-great, which surprised me given the strong reviews. We had the squash cakes, chickpea fritters, ceviche, shrimp, lamb dumplings, and pork dishes. For the first four of these, this turned out to mean a lot of purees that dampened the flavours and textures of the other elements, and the flavour combinations overall didn't sing...they looked intriguing on the menu but seemed kind of random in practice. The lamb and pork dishes were each undistinguished.

Aviv G.

Yelp
Happy to be back in Toronto and glad that Rasa survived covid. Quite the hidden gem a short stroll from Yorkville. Friendly and professional service from waiter Glenn. We went for two old favorites, the Chop Salad and the Truffle Gnudi. Then we tried the award winning Beef Cheek Burger. All were great. We were delighted to end the meal with the Sticky Bun. We started early and were done when it started getting lively/louder. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Hubby & I enjoyed a remarkable dinner & cocktails here. We sat at the bar & received excellent service from start to finish as the bartender walked us through the menu & took the time to answer our questions and he made us a delicious mango-rita & old fashioned. For starters we had the chickpea fritters & for entrees we had the grilled octopus & beef short rib. Everything was delicious. I wish we had saved room for dessert, but we'll save this for our return trip. It was quite busy for a Thursday evenings, so I recommend making reservations.

Yelp
Rasa is a true gem and the Food Dudes never stop innovating in the culinary department, even during a pandemic. Beloved Rasa is offering many fan favourites for pick-up and delivery, including the Chopped Salad ($15), Rasa Burger and Fries ($19) and the indulgent Sticky Bun ($13). The pork ribs with a side of coleslaw and corn bread are also a tasty option if you're in the mood to get a little messy! Good news for wine lovers, too - bottles are available for half price with any food order. The Food Dudes have also launched Bodega, an online shop with high-quality items to keep your pantry stocked and your appetite satiated. If you haven't already ordered takeout from Rasa, add it to your list and support this amazing restaurant. It's one place I'm looking forward to dining at again once restrictions are lifted.

Yelp
Cozy spot for a night out with my husband. This place has a fusion of flavours/cuisines & we had a great experience. Our server was very sweet & down to earth. Chef's tasting menu (seasonal one) was amazing! Everything we got was 10/10. Cheers!

Yelp
I had to spend my birthday in quarantine and so I thought the best way to treat myself was to also simultaneously support local restaurants at the same time. In comes Rasa! I was debating on a few to choose from but ultimately settled on Rasa because I was craving a thick burger. Boy, am I glad I chose Rasa via UberEats. A few of my order includes: 1. TRUFFLE GNUDI - I LOVE truffle. Ask anyone I know. My UberEats delivery came late so this was more lukewarm than warm, but nonetheless, it was tasty. I could taste the Truffle paste and the mushrooms were a perfect complement. My only wish was there were more in one order and sliiiiightly less salty. In any case, I'd give this a 8.5/10. RASA BURGER & FRIES - Ever since quarantine started, I've been craving burgers. This burger hit the spot. The patty was thick, the bun was delicious, and the fries were divine with the aioli sauce. I could have 2 of these if calories weren't a thing (and neither was the COVID 15 lbs). Easily a 10/10. CHOPPED SALAD - The chickpeas in this salad was good. But overall, I wasn't amazed. If you wanted to add some greens to your meal, this is probably the best option. But if you're okay skipping your greens for one meal, honestly, I'd choose something else on the menu for the price these charges. Probably wouldn't get this again and use that stomach space to try something else on the menu (that is not veg lol). Overall, this UberEats delivery order was excellent. I wish the food came to me hotter but that isn't any fault of Rasa. I would definitely come back to this spot again once things blow over and even try their sister spot (SARA)!

Yelp
came here to celebrate my birthday. The cocktails are delicious, recommend passionfruit margarita. They are tapas style, the prices may make you think you are getting an entree size but they are meant for sharing and is small portion size. They were accommodating of dietary concern and try their best to work around it or offer you an alternative. The place is packed, very little spacing between tables. I was less than an arm length from the different group next to me, if you get up to use the washroom the other person has to move or you will be touching. it was too close and made everyone in our table and the other table uncomfortable. We ordered a number of items from the menu. Truffle gnudi, steak tartare and duck confit was our favourites. However after we got home we got a stomache, it might have been the tartare, the only person who didnt have the stomache did not have the tartare. I also do not recommend the ceviche, we had high hopes for it, but the fish did not taste right. We were told it's probably the seasoning, but something just was off. A week later, i tried a different restaurant and had their sea bream also saw and it definitely tasted better and not spoiled. - brussel sprouts $16 - truffle gnudi $24 (there are 4 pieces of ghnochi) - spicy ceviche $18 - steak tartare $28 - duck confit $28 - rasa burger $21

Yelp
Absolutely incredible patio dining experience. The food was an incredible fusion of cuisines around the world. I truly enjoyed everything from the sticky ribs to the salad. This is a place you'd want to visit with a group so you can try a bit of everything from the menu! It is a tapas style restaurant so you'll want to order a couple of items per person. Even though our table was incredibly full, we still made room for their dessert which was the sticky bun. One of our friends has a severe nut allergy and the kitchen was very accommodating, modifying dishes to remove any nuts. Service was also great, the food came out one after the other so we weren't sitting around hungry. I definitely cannot wait to come back here and try the dishes that I wasn't able to the first time around.

Yelp
I've been hearing such great things about this place for months and I have to say Rasa does not disappoint! This is one of my favourite restaurants I've dined at in a very long time! Everything from the atmosphere, to service, to the food was excellent! The restaurant has a very cozy and warm vibe to it. For food, we started with the truffle gnudi, which was similar to gnocchi but larger. It was absolutely delicious!! The flavor the truffle really came through and it was earthy-tasting in the best way. We also ordered the spicy ceviche which was highly recommended, and we were so happy we did! It was sooo fresh tasting and the flavours were incredible. The dish had a good amount of spice to it, which was balanced perfectly with the Thai peanut sauce. It also had a nice crunch to it as well, overall just a 10/10 dish. The last thing we ordered was the rasa burger (also highly recommended), and it was honestly the most perfect burger, possibly one of the best I've ever had! Everything from the super juicy meat, to the perfectly soft buns, and the gochujang Mayo; it was just the perfect combination of flavours and textures. We loved it! I was so happy with my experience here, and I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Very inventive, well-balanced, flavorful mixture of shared dishes that play well together in a cohesive progression. In particular, I recommend the chickpea fritter with fennel mostarda, lemon marscapone, and wasabi. It's a warm earthy fluffy fried bite cut with the acidity of the lemon cream sauce at the base, accentuated with the notes of wasabi, and rounded out by the generous helping of fennel on top. It's homey and comforting, but elevated and refined. The spicy ceviche with Thai peanut sauce, chili oil, sesame snaps, and Thai basil was a bright and palette awakening Szechuan kick. Medley of textures and flavors all expertly woven together. I was not lucky enough to get the sticky bun since the restaurant had run out earlier in the night, but the PB&J ice cream sandwich was an upgraded inventive take on the classic with features of macaron, bumbleberry jam, smooth peanut butter ice cream, and cornflake crumble for added crunch. Nostalgic and fun.

Yelp
First time coming here and heard amazing things! Came here for their pre-set NYE menu. Menu Items: 1.) BBQ Oyster (**served on same dish with duck frites**) 6/10 a lot of ingredients and could barely taste oyster. I love complex tastes but this was a bit too much even for my taste 2.) Duck Fried Frites 8.5/10, surprisingly I enjoyed this dish the best. Even though it was a bite the crispiness reminded me hashbrowns lol 3.) Rasa Chopped Salad 7/10 reminded me of a greek salad.. a lot of feta and chickpeas. I enjoyed the overall salad... but a bit too much feta 4.) Hamachi Crudo 7/10 reminded me of ceviche super refreshing and not too sweet 5.) Squash Ravioli 7/10 super smooth noodles and yummy squash taste. Each person had about 2-3 pieces of ravioli 6.) Black Cod= 7.5/10 hands down tasted like filet o fish lol So yummy!!! The skin was a bit too salty though 7.) Wagyu Coulette= 6.8/10 I'm sorry :( Nothing against the wagyu. I literally just came back from japan 2 days before going to this restaurant and the wagyu is just not the same quality. 8.) Hazelnut Choux= 7/10 reminded me of e-clair filled with hazelnut cream. Unfortunately, this did not hit the spot. They served us one dessert and we split among 4 people. We looked at the table with 2 people and they had one dessert for themselves. Mistakes happen, I understand. So we asked the waiter if we were suppose to have 1 or 2 desserts shared between 4 people. They apologized and brought out the second serving. Overall would try this restaurant again. Great date night/group gathering place!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday due to the alarmingly high stars and rave reviews (Yelp can be ruthless so this was a surprise) and was not disappointed. The great music, vibe and staff are truly want drives this place and make this establishment what it is. The staff is incredibly helpful when it comes to menu choices. So why did I dock one star? I made a reservation on OpenTable and only discovered on the day of my reservation that it was a Detroit location and that this was a known problem. Yikes. I happened to call ahead of time to let them know I was running late and was told they didn't have my name on the list. I got the feeling they would have accommodated us anyways if we did turn up because that is just the kind of people they are. I also called and left a voice message the night before asking to change my reservation time but no one got back to me. If someone did call me back we would have discovered well ahead of time that I didn't have a reservation, rather than 15 mins away from the restaurant after driving down 40 mins. Having said that, the food is great but the ceviche was a miss. Maybe it is just me but the peanut sauce was not a good mix. The chopped salad is the star of the show. The burger was great (it doesn't come with anything folks, just bun and patty so don't be looking for anything under the plates like us LOL) but the pasta was VERY salty. Got a dish with round items on it (I can't remember what it was) but it was also salty. I think my friends mentioned a few times it was my birthday. I had mentioned it too when I made the reservation. Not that I expect all restaurants to have a crew of singers, cake and confetti but a bit awkward when the table sat next to me was celebrating their birthday and my friends kept insisting "shall we tell them again? shall we ..." and I thought no! goodness no. Let's just go get dessert elsewhere. Verdict: I would come back but not for the food or if I was starving. I would come back for the vibe and the crowd.

Yelp
Fellow dwellers of Toronto, this is a the place you need to bring your dates to. The service is superb, delicious catalogue of beverage, food that's intriguing to the tongue, this restaurant has it all. Highly recommend the ceviche, it's quite different from the ceviche I've tried so far and it is a welcomed one, just tastefully beyond expectation.

Yelp
The chopped salad was tasty, and the wine selection was good. Most notable was the excellent service.

Yelp
Amazing place !!! The tapas style was great n the fusion food is a beautiful reflection of the city of Toronto being such a melting pot. Would rec making reservations ahead of time as this place can get very busy. We got two seats by the bar which was great bc we could see what was coming out lol n pick based on that. We tried to order 5 dishes initially but luckily the bartender told us it's a bit much and we cut two dishes into half portions. We tried the following: 1) spicy ceviche - really refreshing but not too spicy- would get again 2) lamb dumplings - unique and not a big lamb guy but in this form it was solid 3) chopped salad- we saw this being made n was very impressed. Great colors not too saucy and very delicious 4) Grilled octopus - would def get again- it was our fav dish - perfectly charred and they served it with poblano sausages which adds great flavoring from the fat 5) Short rib - sigh this dish took the longest but sadly it was too salty. It seemed they used this hoisin sauce plus added salt which made it super difficult to eat if u didn't have white rice or something on the side to balance it. The char was great but some of the fat was bit too chewy - I think they sous vide it then charred the outside but would have just preferred they grilled everything bc that would break down the fat more otherwise it becomes too chewy.. sigh this is the only dish I wouldn't get again. :(

Yelp
Amazing fusion restaurant with delightful tapas that are good sharing size I love the play on different eastern and western flavors, and the dishes are all beautifully plated. I highly recommend the ceviche (has a bit of Szechuan spice that was unexpected but super unique). Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the waiter forgot to give us water three times.

Yelp
I had a lovely birthday dinner with my family. The restaurant is cozy and not too loud for conversation. The food is delicious! Highly recommend the chopped salad, the short rib and the octopus.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday, just 2 of us and got the tasting menu (which is not advertised anywhere). Came out to I think $65pp. The food was amazing, we didn't get the beef dish for our main but a fish which was the most disappointing part, but even then I enjoyed all parts of the meal. The environment is relaxed and casual and you can see the kitchen at the front which is tiny but churns out so much food pretty quickly.

Yelp
Yum! A great place for a night out. Solid vibes. The gnudi with pesto and mushrooms was a standout - super fresh and tasty. The rhubard dessert was also a delicious blend of sweet and sour. The fried brussel sprouts, which other reviews raved on about, fell a little flat. The fried sprouts with the fatty sauce topped with a mound of fried onions all ate a little heavy. Will be back!

Yelp
To sum it up: community. By far, out of the hundreds of restaurants I've tried, Rasa is by far my favorite dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the feeling of community embraces you. The space is warm and relaxing with inviting seating that keeps you close to your fellow patrons while leaving you with plenty of space to easily enjoy your group's night. From there, the staff explain the menu: a shared experience among your party, deepening the message of community. Your plate is stamped with the words "Thank You" in various languages to showcase their gratitude for joining them for a night filled with global influences. And that's the best part: each and every dish lives up to this, embodying different ingredients and techniques from across the world all in one plate. It's as if the chef is saying "this is what happens when the world comes together," providing you with some of the best dishes you'll ever find. Not to mention, the menu is constantly changing and evolving with each season. The food is present beautifully, extremely thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. It out competes most michelin starred restaurants I've tried, yet rids itself of any "poshness" to maintain their feeling of community. Rasa's staff, venue, and food all bring in the theme of community, and each dish truly showcases the beauties that can come from a culturally diverse plate. To say the least, Rasa will forever have a place in my heart, and their meals there will not only change the way you view food itself, but the way you enjoy it.
