"This Bellevue restaurant and bar is a self-proclaimed “underground oasis” with a massive, shrubbery-filled dining room, a loose Sasquatch theme, and more than one turf-covered garden gnome dressed in human clothes. But nothing quite distracts from the boring food, including sad takes on basics like mac n cheese and fried chicken. This place could come in handy for groups that want to just spread out and have a few drinks—there are plenty of open tables, plus a little library lounge. But for enjoyable dishes, look elsewhere in the neighborhood. Food Rundown photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Six-Cheese Shells & Cheese Despite having six cheeses, this dish is watery, bland, and not even all that cheesy. It’s barely a step up from what you might find on kids' menus. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Nashville Hot Honey This stringy chicken breast is covered by an unappealing, messy heap of coleslaw. It comes with very tasty seasoned fries, though—order those on their own. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Rascals Fried Chicken Overcooked, undersalted, and dripping with oil. Plus, the pieces come served on a bed of raw spinach that immediately wilts. photo credit: Kayla Sager-Riley Caesar Salad This is a perfectly fine caesar salad with a lot of grated parmesan cheese that we could have used sprinkled on the six cheese shells." - Kayla Sager-Riley

"Bellevue’s gone through tons of changes in recent years, including the addition of some genuinely cool bars — Rascal’s Public House being the latest. And don’t let the spacious exterior fool you. Sitting just below street level, Rascal’s is comfy and unpretentious, with a chicken-centric pub food menu (Nashville hot fans unite!) and sizeable draft list. The place is casually Sasquatch-themed too, which never hurts. The whole atmosphere is so refreshingly chill, it may just be worth making the trek over from Seattle to kick back on the couches with a cocktail." - Brianna Gunter

Service was below average, but the food was above average. We had burgers and they were delicious and the fries were great. Price is a little high, but worth it for a late night meal. We probably won’t go again but we don’t regret going either. Also the water cups are tiny so be prepared to get multiple refills.

The location is great, and they’re staying open late. The food was really good with generous portions. Kayleen took great care of us. I highly suggest trying the Tri-Tip Tacos.

Love the place. Amazing atmosphere. Food is awesome (love the wings). It's a really wonderful place to come hang out, sit around, lounge, get some drinks and talk to friends (not overly loud, usually not packed to the brim). Bar stools are super comfortable too. Oh and the owners are amazing! This isn't a "commercial" or "one of many" type places, it's independently owned and one of a kind so you're supporting local owners. Definitely worth to check out.

Not sure why people are complaining about the atmosphere. We thought it was a super cool, below street level pub. We stopped by on a Wednesday night and there were about 12 other people there. We had a couple drinks and a few appetizers. Both were great. The service was also top notch. Very attentive and continually checking on us. Downtown Bellevue needs places like this!

The location and atmosphere were great! The restaurant is a floor below and or adjacent to street level. The vibe and ambiance were good. The waiter seemed to be stressed and trying to cover a large area and seemed abrupt. They were out of a few items on the menu which limited our selections. The food was just good not great. Based on the atmosphere, a good place for a beer or drink after work with a quick appetizer in a great Bellevue location.

Stopped in while in town for business to have dinner with some colleagues. After speaking with Carrie and getting a quick peak at the pressure cookers, we ordered the fried baloney, french onion, and fried chicken with mac and cheese and some other sides. All of the food was hot and delicious. Carrie has a great sense of humor and is incredibly personable. Our server Matt (the bartender) was also excellent. Would definitely come back for more next time I'm in town.

Excellent venue for casual, great food. I was in the mood for a non-alcoholic beverage and the bartender hooked me up with a tasty cucumber refreshment. He didn’t bat an eye and said he’d get me something - it was great! I really like the seating area with couches and cushioned chairs. Hopefully more restaurant signage with be forthcoming - business was a bit difficult to locate initially even though we used GPS. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing venue/atmosphere. Average service. Menu prices are highish (25$ / burger) except for happy hour items which are modestly priced (10-15$). Great burgers. Great pork chop. Chicken needs work. The exterior/entrance of the building is very discrete, almost walked right past it.
