Barcelona’s Best Tasting Menus for Every Budget | Eater

"An upscale plant-based restaurant offering a fully vegan six-course tasting menu built from local, organic produce. Standout dishes include ajoblanco (Andalusian cold almond-garlic soup), black rice with seaweed and asparagus, and maitake mushroom and black bean tacos; menus can be made gluten-free on request. The space is casual and unpretentious with wooden tables, and same-day or a few-days-ahead bookings are usually sufficient." - Isabelle Kliger

Absolutely incredible meal. Make a reservation in advance. The menu changes constantly but my favorites were the greens appetizer, the stew main, and all of the desserts. We added on croquettes and focaccia to start, which were wonderful as well. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This is my favourite restaurant! The food is delicious and of high quality, the service super nice and the ambience cosy. I love that it's all veg and they select ingredients based on seasonality and regional. Major bonus point for me as a coeliac is that they can adapt the menu gluten free. While there are no guarantees for cross contamination as the kitchen isn't 100% gluten free, they do take care to ensure you can eat safely. I love going here and I will certainly be back ♥️

So delicious. Don’t deprive yourself if you happen to be a meat eater. Every dish was interesting and flavorful. Tried to go back again before leaving town but they weren’t open that day. New favorite place!

Wow. I am upset at myself for not trying this sooner!! I left Rasoterra in awe, with no words to describe the delicious eye opening experience we had 🤩 ✨ You can taste the love and passion these people put into such creative vegetable dishes. Feeling so so grateful to Xavier and the team. Thank you.

Google
We had a lovely experience! They use locally sourced, seasonal ingredients with a fixed yet delicious menu! I loved the olive oil cake, the Paella and the sauteed vegetables!

Google
Really incredible food, excellently presented. Interesting, creative and delicious combination of flavours and ingredients. I haven't been to a Michalin star restaurant but this is the experience I'd expect from one. Truly a very interesting experience that I definitely recommend!

Rasoterra is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that sets the bar high, not only in flavor, but in philosophy. Located in the vibrant Gothic Quarter, it brings together sustainability, creativity, and culinary skill in a way that feels both grounded and elevated. The menu is seasonal and deeply rooted in local ingredients, with a strong focus on zero-waste cooking and organic produce. Each dish is crafted with intention: from delicate, umami-rich broths to perfectly balanced vegetable-based mains and playful ferments that add depth and character. This is not your typical “healthy food” spot: it’s modern, bold, and genuinely satisfying. The natural wine selection is carefully chosen and pairs seamlessly with the dishes, adding another thoughtful layer to the dining experience. The atmosphere is calm, design-forward, and warm, ideal for both intimate dinners and relaxed conversations over beautifully plated food. Rasoterra proves that plant-based cuisine can be exciting, elegant, and full of personality.

Google
We had an exceptionally wonderful experience at Rasoterra. The food was fantastic, wonderful to behold as well as to eat, and the service and vibes were unmatched by anyplace else we visited in the city. Every dish we got was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the stuffed shells and the olive oil cake. I want to particularly say that as someone who has only recently stopped drinking alcohol, the non-alcoholic drink pairings were extremely good. Much much better than any non-alcoholic drinks I've had anywhere else. The second of three, which is made from fermented beets, was my favorite. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer in Barcelona so that we could go again and get the menu items we missed!

Yelp
Wow. Wow wow wow. In a city where it seems like everyone disregards vegetables, here they shine. The space is cozy and warm, the staff inviting and attentive. Every dish I had - from the croquetas to the taco and the best kabocha squash with lentils I've ever had was complex - a variety of temperatures, flavors and textures. Absolutely incredible at an unbeatable price. Hands down the best meal I've had in Barcelona

Yelp
Grade A stuff going on here. We went two nights in a row because it was too good. Every dish is a little masterpiece. Colors and flavors and textures all used for beauty here. Thank you so much for having us.

Yelp
michelin worthy vegan restaurant!!! this was our last dinner in barcelona before we flew back home to LAX. it was such a memorable experience, my partner and i happily recall it every so often. the staff informed us about the slow food movement and it was really cool to learn about the art they were making on every plate. this is the perfect intimate restaurant to have a date night. the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. we ordered four items off the menu plus a hazelnut dessert and it was the best meal of our lives. we enjoyed every single bite. it was delicious, full of refined flavors and textures that paired nicely together. the portions were perfect for sharing. overall, highly recommend! it was the best vegan food we had in europe and maybe the entire world. i look forward to visiting again sometime soon. plant based friends be ready, this is some life changing food. worth a visit. worth a try. worth going out of your way for if you're not nearby. a must have when you're in barcelona.

Yelp
This place is outstanding, maybe the best vegan restaurant I have been to since becoming a vegan 5 years ago. Our dishes featured ordinary plant ingredients such as pumpkin, zucchini and green beans, but the quality of the ingredients and the creative presentations made for an incredibly tasty meal for me and my wife. The service was also excellent, with a visit by 4 people including the owner, with careful explanations of each dish. We are planning a dinner at a world famous Michelin 3 star vegan restaurant in NY, and we doubt it will be much better than this at eight times the price. Very hard act to follow and highly recommended.

Yelp
After traveling in Spain for over two weeks and eating all the iberic ham, I can muster. We went vegan!! Eating here felt like I was getting cleansed from all the high protein meats I have been induging on without losing the flavor. The food was incredibly delicious, every plate we ordered was sublime and came with an explanation from the staff of what we were eating. This was our last night in Barcelona, and it was a delectable one.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is PERFECTION!!!! I started my trip with a dinner at a local Michelin Starred restaurant where I had caviar, wagyu beef, fish, you name it. The VEGAN dinner at Rasoterra was 1000x better than the michelin starred dinner. If you're visiting Barcelona, I wouldn't make the mistake of passing up a meal here.

Yelp
Dishes that will make your eyes go wide in amazement. Vegan or not, I highly recommend!

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food! My favorite was surprisingly the roots dish with the basil oil. FYI got there a few min before 10 + snagged the last table in the restaurant on a weekday - a couple groups of two came in after us and were turned away!

Yelp
Thoroughly impressed and pleased with our dinner here! For one thing, we didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us! We opted to do the tasting menu since I was celebrating my birthday. For 35 euro/person you get 6 courses (drinks not include) and it's a great way to try out their menu if you're uncertain of what to eat. This is another vegetarian-friendly restaurant which was great. Here's what we ate: * We both ordered wine from the Catalan region * Cold cream course -- we were served a bowl with black garlic and some small vegetables and then cream poured over so it was like a cold soup. While it was "different", it was still pretty good! * Taco course: a taco of vegetables which was so delicous * Stuffed eggplant that was then roasted -- this was so creamy and tasted like Babaghanoush * "Surf and turf" rice dish -- very flavorful and had some wasabi mayo on the side for added flavor * Plums served 5 ways * Chocolate truffles The owner was there and came up to us, wished me a happy birthday and checked in on us to make sure our service was to our liking. Though this is "fine dining" the price was too bad for what you receive. I would 100% recommend this during your Barcelona travels!

Yelp
This was our favorite meal in Barcelona! My partner is not vegetarian and I am, and he surprised me with a dinner here. We both loved it so much we have not stopped talking about it since! He said he would happily eat vegetarian/vegan forever if it was like this. We were so impressed by each dish and had a blast trying them all together and marveling at the beauty and creativity (oh my gosh the beets, and the wasabi chocolate truffles!). It was a romantic and spectacular dinner, and for such a reasonable price. We will be coming back and recommending it to everyone we know!

Iris R.

Yelp
Increasingly vegan / vegetarian food and for a great price! The staff are very nice. The menu changes with the seasons and they house a variety of biological and local wines (as well as local sodas and kombuchas and juices). The food came really fast (maybe a bit too fast) and was delicious
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food! Whilr a bit meh on service theyy were able take a accommodation without a reservation. So while rushed, glad to still tried this vegetarian and vegan friendly little spot

Yelp
Whoa, this place was so great! I honestly can't say enough about the entirety of our experience. We arrived around 8:30 and they were fully booked but offered us a spot at 10pm. When we came back we had the parsnip soup, bao buns, mushroom tacos and curry. All of the dishes were delicious and flavorful, with some surprising flavor combinations that we never saw before but that worked so well (a chilled chickpea sorbet in the curry was so creamy and delicious and the mole on the tacos was SPOT ON). We also had the Trebbiolo Rosso wine and really enjoyed that as well. So to summarize, this is a MUST for any vegetarian/vegan but also a nice change of pace for the carnivores!
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere is very good. They have a very good esthetic cuisine. If you like "spicy" food, small plates and healthy food it's a good place to go. For me, after going to many vegan restaurants this is just one of the thousands restaurants I've been to, not in my fav ones. Maybe I'll come back someday but for now I am not interested in. Anyways, we tried almost everything!

Yelp
I got a bad feeling of this place the moment I walked in. We had a reservation which I told the man meeting us, he just said "ok wait" and then walked away. Besides not being friendly he looked dirty. After 1 minute he came back and showed us to a table which was just outside the toilet and kitchen where waiters were constantly running by. Since we had a reservation I asked for any of the other three tables that where free. He said no they are reserved but then immediately changed his mind and said "you can have table four or eight instead ". How am I supposed to know their internal numbers for the tables? The numbers aren't written on the tables or the walls. This situation was a big warning sign. We ordered two starters and two mains: Bread with tomatoes and olive oil - 2/5 the olive oil didn't taste so much. Tacos with huitlacoche, cream of black beans and pico de gallo of sweet potato. - 4/5 the best dish of the evening. Risotto with asparagus - 2/5 the asparagus was chopped up in tiny pieces and there was not much taste. Like eating baby food. Ravioli filled with sun dried tomatoes and menth - 1/5 no sauce, just a little cheese on top. Pasta cooked too slow even though I like al dente. Dry and boring. Service - 1/5. They really need to shape up their staff in all areas. No one even asked us if the food tasted good. No one told us anything about their local producers. No one asked if I wanted another beer when my glass was empty for twenty minutes. Most of the staff looks dirty and unsecure. I hope that Rasoterra shapes up because I would love a premium vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona!

Yelp
Blown away. As a non-vegetarian coming here with my vegan friends, I had low expectations. However each and EVERY dish that came out was not only beautifully displayed, but incredibly delicious and satisfying. As a non-vegan I would come back on my own in a heartbeat. Make sure you try the pasta and mushroom tacos!

Yelp
Service 5 Ambiance 5 Food 4 My vegan friend liked this place so much she came here with me! They open promptly at 7 so if you eat on the earlier side, reservations generally are not needed. Later the place (around 9:30) was quite full. Our waitress had good English and was able to articulate the customer favorites. They have an English menu. Their house sangria is very yummy and on the sweeter side, definitely order a glass! We had the Gyoza (dumplings) to start- delicious with a great sauce- still thinking about these! We also split the watercress salad which was ok and very fresh. Had some cheese so vegans be aware but the pomegranate seeds were a nice touch. If you are in Barcelona you have to try the tomato bread, it was just 2.50 euros and delicious! For my main I had the tempeh with sweet potatoes and chestnuts. Good flavors, didn't love the tempeh but don't really love the substitute to begin with. My friend had the cabbage dumplings which were very good and had a nice texture, sat atop some lentils. Ambiance was clean, modern, and cozy. We split the bill and we paid 25 euros each, this included a 5% gratuity (generally you can tip 5-10%) for a sit down place.

Yelp
Love how there are a few Vegetarian restaurants in Spain. This place is down a small street, little difficult to find, but we used Google maps and got there quick. It's a cute place that have regular tables and high bar tables. We sat at the higher tables and were able to see the kitchen in action which was pretty neat. Their Patatas Bravas were delicious! I love the mini potatoes and the sauce was really good. Artichoke with mint and chickpeas. The artichoke was undercooked a bit, the most outer layer, so we had to waste a lot of the artichoke, which I hate doing. But we liked the mint and hummus spread with it and the plate design of the whole entree was really nice! (Pan con tomato) Tomato with olive oil and bread was okay - this is a staple in Spain, however we were not a fan of it. Didn't have much flavor. But their homemade bread tasted really good! Spinach cannellone - avocado and potato, with chia chips. This one looked like a veggie sushi roll, and it was pretty good. Just had a lot of potato flavor which overpowered the dish. Overall I would say this place was one of the best restaurants we went to in Barcelona.

Yelp
Ive only come during lunch, M-F. They have 3 course vegetarian meals for 10 euros... And they're AMAZING. This might be the best Vegetarian restaurant I've ever eaten at. The menu changes every day and I am here 3x a week and dream about being here more. Complementary filtered water with the meal. Lovely atmosphere. For vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, this place is a gem! *I keep updating this and adding more pics every time i come. You should get a good feel for the place from all the pics

Yelp
This is a standout meal for me for all of 2019! The neighborhood, atmosphere, wait staff and food were outstanding. Every dish was cooked to perfection and they had a great drink list as well, we loved the sagne pasta, eggplant dish and a pumpkin special dish they had the most. I eat fish and my fiance eats meat, but he thought it was also one of the best dinners he's had all year. Highly recommend to all food palates

Yelp
Amazing. Vegan heaven. Lots of great gluten free options for my celiac friend as well. The tacos and the vegetables Curry were our favorite. Staff was very friendly. Definitely expect a slow, relaxing and delicious meal. Enjoy with good company

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner at Rasoterra while visiting Barcelona. They care about ingredients, understand the value of slow food, and make creative dishes. We had the croquettes, Bao, tacos, and anjoblanco soup. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend to any foodie vegan and non-vegan alike.

Yelp
Simple and elegant restaurant with a sophisticated but not pretentious menu. All made with local and seasonal ingredients. Perfect even if you are not vegetarian and want to try something tasty and light. Open for lunch and dinner in the heart of Barcelona. Super recommended!

Yelp
A great vegan and vegetarian spot in Barcelona. Part of the slow food movement in Barcelona, Rasoterra is also a vegetarian restaurant that serves great dishes beyond the soy gamut that's the usual vegetarian fare. We ordered the following dishes. While we wanted the buffalo mozzarella with basil foam and tomato drops, it wasn't available on that day unfortunately. 1. Ajoblanco: Almond and black garlic cold soup with strawberries. This was probably our favorite dish! The creaminess fooled us briefly as this is a vegan soup. We were initially skeptical of the strawberries paired with it but it turned out to be just perfect. 2. Roasted corn tacos with huitlacoche mushroom and avocado: This was pretty disappointing- we found that while the ingredients were incredibly fresh (as were all the ingredients at Rasoterra), there was a lack of flavor depth and things just didn't seem to come together. 3. Potato cake: The exact composition fails me, but this was a purple potato cake with dill (?). This was also a very nice dish that was well seasoned and hit the spot. 4. Egg tagliatelle with red pesto, almonds and goat milk ice cream: The goat milk ice cream, while excellent, didn't sit right with us when paired with the tomatoes in the red pesto. The pasta itself didn't quite seem like it hit al dente. The red pesto itself was great. Dessert: Lemon parfait with thype, apple kimchi and seed brittle: This was a very nice dish, a great pairing of tart fermented green apple and a delicious seed brittle. Drinks: We had the house sangria and a hard cider, and we preferred the sangria. Overall, we rate this a 3 and 4 respectively- as a vegetarian, I loved the wide variety of options and innovative pairings. It's easy to get caught in the rut of various tofu ingredients brought into cuisines, but rasoterra does a great job of frequently updating the menu based on the seasonal ingredients available and not resorting to cliches. However, I think some more can be done on pairing ingredients in dishes so that the entire plate comes together.

Yelp
I visited Rasoterra with good expectations from past reviews but finished my meal feeling underwhelmed and unsatisfied. I ordered the fennel salad (8.50) and the miso broth with rice noodles (7.50). The fennel salad was fresh. However, the lime juice and olive oil dressing lacked the zest and fragrance to lift the flavours of the fennel. The ingredients, while of high quality, was put together loosely without the sophistication a restaurant should have. The miso broth was flatter than the salad. The presentation was nice, but the hint of miso was faint, and the full flavour of a broth absent. The rice noodles were deep fried and disintegrated in the soup adding neither flavour nor texture. My experience may be limited to these two dishes. Other dishes may be good. However, at this price range, there may be other better options, such as Teresa Carles.

Yelp
BEST VEGAN SPOT IN BCN We came here on a suggestion of an American friend. The owner is so nice and the dishes are creative and nourishing.
google avatar

Maya C.

Yelp
You'll want to try everything! There's a regular menu and the daily specials which are seasonal as to what is available in the market that very morning--although some of these dishes are experimental. The staff are knowledge and will help you make good decisions. The "chilaquiles" are a restaurant favorite and can easily be shared. Water is free, the wine list is extensive, and there's also locally-brewed draft beers and an organic hard cider from the Pyrenees. N.B. If you haven't made a reservation in advance, come early to dine if you want to get in at all!
google avatar

Kellie O.

Yelp
I bookmarked this place long before I got to Barcelona and it didn't disappoint. Well priced and very nice house wine, friendly helpful service, and really amazing food. I will have dreams about the mushroom croquettes for weeks!
google avatar

Yelp
This will go down as one of the most memorable meals of our five country European vacation! I'm a meat eater and LOVED this place. I wish I could have eaten every dish on the menu! Dishes are expertly crafted and made with passion. We were lucky enough to sit at the bar and look into the kitchen and witness magic being created. The service left nothing to be desired. Everything was PERFECT! Recommended with absolutely no reservations, just go there NOW!
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
Loved this place! Great atmosphere, comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal and hang out with friends and family. Would say this place ties for my favorite Vegan eats while in Barcelona. One of the best places I've eaten on any of my travels, period. The menu is Vegan and Vegetarian with several items being sourced locally. The staff was super helpful and guided us through the menu and alcohol selection. We each started out with a soup and then moved on to Tapas for the table. It's the end of the heirloom tomato season and we had a beautiful selection served with olive oil and olive tapenade. As a huge heirloom tomato fan, this dish stuck out the most. The potatoes in saffron and oil were also amazing. Everything was simple and amazing. For dessert, we had olive oil truffles which I will be dreaming about for weeks and a super yum cobbler. But yes, the truffles were the winner.
google avatar

H G.

Yelp
Outstanding food! Highly recommend their tapas menu. Although, stick to the lite fare. Some of the heavier dishes like the tagliatelle are passé. Great location in Gothic Square!
google avatar

Julia R.

Yelp
Amazing tapas and main course. I am a meat eater and absolutely loved everything. Leaving me full and truly satisfied.
google avatar

Grace J.

Yelp
We very much enjoyed our meal at Rasoterra. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was good, and everything we ordered was delicious. Plus, the 6 euro cocktails we got (caprioskas) were huge! Certainly a great value there. We had truffles for dessert, which were wonderful (although really I wish they'd all been sea salt rather than a variety).
google avatar

Grizzly B.

Yelp
Freaking incredible. I've been a vegetarian for 21 years, been to NYC more times than I can count, been to many many vegetarian restaurants and never have I had as good of a meal as the one I did last night here. My husband is not vegetarian and he loved it so much as well that we went back for a great lunch today. I hope the restaurant/chef writes a cook book. I would LOVE to have this place back home. Highest points of the meals: the almond garlic soup... The vegan olive oil truffles The coconut crepe with vegetables and tofu The croquettes Hope to get back a third time before we leave Barcelona.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service. Beautifully executed meal. Get the tasting if it's offered, well worth the 30 euros.

Yelp
Fantastic service and food. Locally sourced organic dishes to delight your inner foodie

Yelp
Simply divine experience. We decided on having our New Year's dinner here. Between the attentive staff, charming decor, and exquisite food, it wasn't so much a meal as a memory my wife and I will share. Would highly suggest to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Vigdis B.

Yelp
I really, really wanted to like this place. First of all, service was great - even though we had to wait for our change for a long time (we wanted to leave a tip, but we wanted to choose to leave it). The place is really nice with a great atmosphere, and they focus on "slow food" (food from the local area). The menu is full of vegan options for me and gluten free options for my boyfriend. They even have vegan wines. So whats not to love? We just did not like the food. It was bland with no flavours to talk of what so ever. My boyfriends potato pasta with vegan meat balls came with a sauce that tasted store bought, My coconut-buckwheat pancake with fried veggies and tofu was a tasteless meh. Leaving we agreed that we had a lovely date but we can definitely cook better and cheaper at home.
google avatar

Ato B.

Yelp
This place makes tasty meatless adaptations of Catalan, Spanish and even Mexican (their huitlacoche tacos are outstanding) dishes. There are no fake meats or over spiced dishes, just fresh ingredients, tasty food and a welcoming environment. The baked mushrooms was my favorite dish, and a no brainer if you like mushrooms. Nice wine selection and friendly service.
google avatar

Chloe M.

Yelp
Overrated in my opinion. The food wasn't bad but it also wasn't excellent. I paid almost 30 euro for one tapa, one starter, and two drinks. I thought there were several other vegetarian/vegan places in Barcelona that were more affordable and better.
google avatar

Caryn T.

Yelp
Great everything. Get the croquettes. Waiter didn't wash his hands coming out of the restroom. But that's okay since his recommendation for what foods to get were great. Try the risotto. Nice and al dente!!

Yelp
We navigated the beautiful streets of Barcelona in search of Rasoterra. I had read great things about the food and service and Rasoterra did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I had trouble deciding what to eat as it all sounded delicious. I went for a sundried tomato and burrata ravioli with a carrot pesto. It was divine. My father who usually only eats meat loved everything. Their Bloody Mary's were so fresh and flavourful. I would recommend Rasoterra to anyone visiting Barcelona vegetarian or not.

Yelp
I was excited to try this restaurant based on all the stellar reviews, but from the minute we were seated, the experience was rather disappointing. I wanted to love this place - but could not. The Good: - We dined on a Sunday night (without reservations) and were seated immediately. - The artichoke hearts with an almond paste filling were divine. - Mozzerella dish - excellent. - Everything is fresh and nicely presented. - Apple crumble dish was made to order and arrived piping hot and tasty (though took 30 minutes to get to our table after ordering it) - no children in the restaurant (this is important for those who dislike dining around children who are permitted to scream and cry in restaurants) The Bad: - Took about ten minutes to even get menus, and that was only after I asked for them - The menu/concept was never explained to us even after we asked about the size of the dishes and ordered what we thought were starters and main courses and then asked if we ordered too much - It seems the concept is all small dishes, no starters or mains (I think? I am still unsure about this). - There seem to be ground nuts in just about every dish, even the apple crumble. nothing against nuts, I like them, but it just got overwhelming,. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. The Ugly: - My concept of a baked egg is something totally different than what I received here. What arrived was a little baking dish filled to the brim with runny white cheese that filled the table with the stench of feet, topped with a barely cooked egg. I despise runny eggs in the first place, but I think this one even had whites that weren't fully cooked. I could be wrong, because the cheese was white and runny too. I tasted the cheese at least, and guess what? It tasted like feet. We actually had the server take the dish away because we were gagging on the smell. The table near us seemed to enjoy this little dish when they got it though, eating it with bread. - The kitchen is very. very. slow. Be prepared to wait a long time for your small plates of food to come out one by one. When we left, I noted that, in a completely full restaurant, not one table had any plates with food on them. The entire restaurant was waiting for food at (we left at 11pm on Sunday night) - I went home and ate a snack because I'd left the restaurant hungry.

Yelp
Most unique, delicious and innovative meal ive had in a long time. Fantastic food, fantastic cheese, to die for pear tartin!

Shweta K.

Yelp
Came here twice during our stay in Barcelona with my fellow vegetarian friend and both of our omnivore husbands. Everyone left happy and satisfied! The staff are great at giving recommendations - letting you know whether you've ordered enough or not for their tapas sizes and picking a nice bottle of wine. Felt like the dishes are well-priced. Would return on another trip to the city.

Yelp
Best place ever. That's all one really needs to know and all I really have to write, but I will write more. We ordered fully off the seasonal menu, nothing on their regular menu jumped up at us. Here are the incredible dishes we got in no particular incredible order: - Paperdelle and pumpkin/parsnip soup (starter): This blew my mind. So fresh. I could imagine the parsnip that was pureed into a soup. This dish has inspired me to try to make this soup at home. - Surf n turf of wild mushrooms (starter): This starter didn't blow my mind as much as the first, but it was quite a unique dish and had interesting flavours. It was a tad on the salty side than ideal, but still 5 stars for it. - Homemade pappardelle with sauce of spring garlic, broccoli and baked almonds (main): Boy, this was good. Possibly my favourite dish of the night. The pasta tasted so fresh, perfect combo of al dente with melt in your mouth. Sauce wasn't heavy at all and it was a subtle flavour without being flavourless, I wanted another bowl of this pasta pronto! - Banh-chi (rice & coconut pancake with tofu, veggies and kimchi): Too be honest, I don't remember much about this dish 2 weeks later, but its hard to remember a good dish when its amongst other really Really REALLY good dishes. Service was very pleasant, we really enjoyed the service of our waitress. She was the right amount of friendly without being overbearing. Great eating night overall. Wish we could come back more often! (We did go back the next day for brunch and they delivered the same amount of amazingness).

Yelp
During our week in Barcelona, we were thrilled to find many good vegetarian restaurants and Rasoterra is great. We arrived at 8 pm on a Wednesday without a reservation and were seated immediately. The server was very friendly and explained the menu. As some other reviewers noted, the menu does not do a great job separating the small plates or tapas from the larger selections, and the prices do not really serve as good proxies for serving size either. But our server helped us arrive at the right amount of food. We had roasted vegetables, a potato tapas, gnocchi with pesto, a bruschetta with wonderfully ripe tomatoes, crochets with cheese and potato filling and wonderful sangria--the best we had all week. The place is not air conditioned, but the fans cooled things off. If we were to do Rasoterra again, we'd arrive a little bit later in the evening to allow things to coole even more.

Yelp
Nice and mostly locally patroned vegetarian restaurant. It's refreshing to have tapas that aren't Catalan style. Cheese balls and tofu gyoza were my favorites. Staff was friendly. They don't have air conditioning.

Yelp
We found this place based on Yelp recommendations and the place was beyond expectations. I'm vegan and my husband is not and we ate every last morsel plus dessert, even though we were full. We would definitely come back next time we're in Barcelona.
