"This bar does smell like stale beer sometimes. But Rattle ‘N’ Hum is actually a very solid bar, and one of the best places to hang out after a game at the Garden. They specialize in craft beer, and actually have some surprisingly good bar food." - katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg

"If you’re really into beer and you enjoy watching sports on TV, Rattle N Hum is one of your best options in Midtown. This place isn’t quite as nice as The Shakespeare, but it’s a good spot to hang out with a few friends who couldn’t care less whether a bar has neon beer signs and barrels repurposed as furniture." - Bryan Kim, Matt Tervooren

"Rattle N Hum West is another good spot for people who consider themselves to be beer nerds. They typically have around 40 beers on tap, and some more bottled options. They also serve wine and cocktails, and it’s overall an easy place to get drinks with a group. It’s nicer than a dive bar, but it isn’t too pricey, and they have a weekday Happy Hour starting at 11am. So if you’d rather have that 2pm expense meeting over a beer, that’s possible. (Whether or not to expense the beer is up to you.)" - Hannah Albertine, Bryan Kim, Matt Tervooren

The location and ambience of this bar is good. The choice of drinks is great. However their service is underwhelming and needs improvement. They do have a good menu with ample choices, but the quality was sub par when compared to other bars around the neighborhood. Although Presentation was good. If you want a quick drink or two, with an acquaintance or friend over decent selection of beer, this bar should be okay. Just be prepared to wait for an extended period of time to get the bartender's attention as they tend to ignore you (even when business don't seem to be that busy).

Nice place to have a beer and a snack. We liked Fried quesadilla and Spring rolls the way they were prepared. We think that place is verynice and service is good. What we did not like is that we received a check with 20% service charge automatically added to our bill. We consider its a bit too much for beer and spring rolls. The rest was very good.

The atmosphere was great. Everyone on staff was very friendly, but this place is EXPENSIVE!!! I've ordered the exact same drink elsewhere and paid 25%less for it. Even in midtown Manhattan. It was also prepared correctly the first time around, elsewhere. Not here. O had to return the drink to the bartender to request 6correction.

Pretty cool place. It was clean and I liked the decor of the establishment. The drinks are typically priced for the area. I didn’t eat but from what I saw and smelt the food seemed it it was probably pretty good. Went on a night where they had the dueling pianos so that was different in a good way. Its always nice to have something else going on while you are hanging out.

Absolutely, well designed place that would even make Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue proud. Unfortunately secretly hidden away. Always remember, location- location- location. However awesome beer selection and the lady bartenders are incredible. And the sandwiches, although could have larger rye bread, are deliciously flavorful. Do recommend. 😎Do Like 👍👍👍

Great central location and a large selection of craft beers. The Rattle n Hum burger is also worth a mention. Decent prices given you're in Manhattan with a lively atmosphere. Good for small or larger groups. If you're going on a Thurs-Saturday then expect it to be busy! Happy hour before 7pm.

Two for how strong the watermelon mojito was how ever the service lacked . I never got a napkin or coasters for my drinks . I asked and pointed to the $6.00 Caesar side salad because I need to eat something light with the drinks. Well when I paid my bill it was $30+, $14 for the drink well worth it $3 for a Shirley Temple which was needed the salad was very strong dry cheese. And $12 for the salad. The server said she thought I ordered full large. The salad was small which I expected for a side salad size. When I brought this to her attention she gave such attitude. Lack of customer service made my first New York bar experience sub-par.
