"This is the first go-to place you’ll be pointed to from any hardcore Satwatian for a unique experience in D-town. Always crowded, especially on the weekends, Ravi will hit all the right spots for those on the lookout for authentic Pakistani and Northern Indian food. Low-key, simple and friendly, this is where you’d want to be on a late Friday night with friends satisfying your cravings with some yummy Paratha, Kebabs and Peshawari." - Mobius Studio

"Ravi has been serving Dhaba-style Pakistani food at low prices since the 1970s, but the place got a boost when Anthony Bourdain visited to film an episode of No Reservations in 2010. (It remains a point of pride that the restaurant was the only street food spot in the episode.) Dining here can sometimes feel chaotic, but the food is worth any hassle. The naan emerges hot and crispy from the clay oven, served with Peshawari mutton curry and lamb chops that are the best you’ll get in Dubai. Hang around for dessert; its kheer is the perfect way to end a meal at Ravi. [$]" - Rahma Khan

Food Doesn’t Need Borders – Just Taste Buds Being from India, I never imagined my first Pakistani food experience would feel this warm and familiar. I visited Ravi Restaurant in Satwa and tried Nihari, mutton curry, and their freshly baked bread — and honestly, it was unforgettable. The flavors were bold, comforting, and full of love. The meat was cooked to perfection, the gravy was rich, and the bread was the perfect companion. I could taste the tradition in every bite. Despite the differences our countries may have, food reminds us that we’re more connected than we think. In the end, it’s not about flags or politics — it’s about sharing a meal and a moment. Ravi made me feel that connection. I’ll definitely be back again.

Ravi’s in Satwa is a legendary spot for authentic Pakistani food, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The place itself looks like it hasn’t changed in decades—completely old-school and almost from another era. But don’t let the appearance fool you—the food here is next level. It blows your mind and your taste buds. We tried the Chicken Achari and Mutton Peshawari, and both were phenomenal. The Chicken Achari had that distinct achar (pickle) flavor, but it was surprisingly subtle and well-balanced. The spice was just enough to add a kick without overpowering the dish. The Mutton Peshawari was the highlight—so tender and rich in flavor that it felt like it had been slow-cooked for hours. Truly delicious. All of this was enjoyed with their signature Pakistani roti—soft, hot, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of gravy. And we wrapped up the meal with a strong, comforting cup of chai. Ravi’s isn’t fancy or modern, but it delivers some of the best, most soulful Pakistani food you’ll find in Dubai. If you’re looking for bold flavors and a truly satisfying meal, this is the place. It was easily one of our food highlights of the trip.

Wow to be honest, I didn't expect myself to be giving this rating to Ravi. I thought it would just be a normal place for breakfast but the food really blew me away. Been thinking whether to visit this place cause as a tourist its not a good and accessible location so far from the metro station. Its best to come here by bus instead but I took a long walk from the metro station. I was actually thinking of eating the briyani and I was disappointed that I was too early for briyani as they only start selling briyani after 11am. I was already thinking of leaving the place but then one of the guys stopped me and asked me to try some breakfast food like some beef curry. I just said okay I'll try a small portion. I was a bit worried cause I didn't get to see the menu properly and was wondering if they would rip me off. The guy actually told me its not expensive and I had to trust him. He then served a plate of curry stew like dish and the moment I tried it, my eyes lighted up and I was like how delicious is that! The beef was so soft it just become flat as I pressed it with the spoon, and when I placed into the mouth it felt like it would melt in the mouth. I really cannot describe the curry but it was so smooth and not too spicy and so strange there was ginger strips on it. The guy then asked me if I would like to have paratha to go along and dip the sauce. I wondered how much it would cost again but I didn't ask so I nodded and he went to bring some freshly made paratha which was hot to even use the hands. I waited for a while for it to cool and I tried the original taste and wow it was so thin and crispy it tasted like paper! And the flavours was so good! And of course the combination with the curry was just the ultimate. I wished I could eat more, but he served 2 parathas and I only had room for one, and also just to be on the cautious side in case I get ripped off. It was so comforting and satisfying I was kinda just at a loss for words but just enjoying it throughout and saying wow wow wow in my mind. They also offered this dessert to try I just tried a spoonful and I guess I didn't try more I didn't want the sweetness to overwhelm the food I just had. When I went to pay for it I didn't realized that the price was so reasonable that my jaws almost dropped. This is one place that I will visit whenever I come back Dubai, not for their Adidas but this again! Also hope to be back to try the briyani at a later time. Its such a memorable meal.

It was our first time at Ravi. Located in a humble neighborhood so the prices are pretty good for the amazing food. We ordered their popular Mutton Peshawari( recommended by a really friendly and warm waiter ) it was so flavorful and the meat was just cooked perfectly tender. We love it so much we have to ordered for second. The Naan both plain and with butter was great. Warm hospitality from all the staff. Highly recommended!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ravi Restaurant is a go-to spot for hearty, flavorful Pakistani breakfast. The halwa puri is a classic favorite, and the Haleem and mutton gravy are rich and delicious. Their daal is comforting and well-spiced — great for a budget-friendly, satisfying meal. However, cleanliness and hygiene leave a lot to be desired. The place could really use some attention in terms of maintenance and tidiness, which takes away from the overall experience. If you’re here just for the food, especially breakfast, it’s worth a try — just manage your expectations on the ambiance
