Ravintola Palace

This is in my top 3 meals I’ve ever had, alongside The Waterside Inn and Ossiano. Professional, personable, courteous, understated, beautiful, and above all else, unbelievably tasty. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant oozes respect and decades of fine tuning. The food is without doubt some of the best you can eat. From the small amuse bouches to the starters, fish, mains and dessert, every section of the tasting menu leaves you in awe at the presentation and flavours. We came in February 2026 and the scallops, pike perch, A5 Wagyu and pigeon were all standout, and that doesn’t detract from any of the other dishes, which were all sublime. Usually you will have one or two dishes that stand out, so this tells you of the quality and the standards expected here. All the staff, from the sommelier, to the floor, to the kitchen, operate at the highest standard and really know their stuff. Overall, I can’t recommend Palace enough. It is truly a special place on the culinary merry go round.

We had dinner here for a special occasion and had a delightful evening. The atmosphere was perfect, the service impeccable, and the dining experience exceptional. We felt our needs were not only met, but frequently anticipated. The staff were informative and professional, but also had a charming sense of humor and pride in their role in creating a superlative experience for us. We felt cared for, in a manner that few restaurants have managed to inspire. I highly recommend Palace for your next dining experience, hopefully in the company of friends or loved ones who share an appreciation for beauty and culinary mastery.

Located on the 10th floor, when you exit the lift, it exposes you to a space that has a nice ambience. Staff were welcoming. For the first time, each of the 10 courses was served by a different chef and not wait staff. Very original and a nice highlight. Each dish was delicate, amazing & very tasty. I could feel the subtle infusion of the different ingrediants and how well it all balanced without overpowering each other. Staff were very professional and attentive without crowding you. Plates got cleared quickly with comfortable intervals between courses. I even got an audience with the executive chef Eero Vottonern and all the BoH staff for a long & engaging chat about his vision, objectives, direction, etc. I wasn't overly keen on some food being served on a folded napkin and small timber coasters. I think it lowered the presentation slightly. Overall a great 4hr culenary experience. Staff were able to respond so well to all my inquisitive technical questions. This is more like it👍. Worth spending the high cost to be spoilt like this.

I don’t even believe this place needs a review — everyone already knows how outstanding Palace is. I visited for lunch with a workmate, and everything was absolutely delicious. I truly enjoyed it, as did everyone in our group. A flawless lunch experience.

By far the best in Helsinki and definitely better than most 2 Michelin star restaurants globally.

Amazing food experience, best of modern nordic kitchen. Chef Eero is serving dishes at least once to each table to chat with customers. Wine pairing is perfect, beware - it will get you hammered.

Absolutely the most fine of fine dining in Helsinki. Service for me was excellent. But I did notice few tiny hickups on other tables which would not matter to me in the slightest. Food was fantastic where most dishes looked like pieces of art with few exceptions. All dishes tasted amazing. Views are also quite brilliant. If you are prepared to pay for the most excellent Helsinki has to offer, then Palace is an easy recommendation. But I would note that you can get fantastic food and service for way cheaper. So I would save Palace for a special occasion rather than a regular date/dinner.

Very nice restaurant for fine dining. The dishes are carefully prepared and decorated, the flavors are sublime and the service is excellent. I'd love to come back soon!
