"This is the best place for pit barbecue in Columbus, and perhaps the whole state. James Anderson (better known as the “Ray Ray”) runs this growing fleet of pit barbecue food trucks, plus one dine-in location, that specializes in smoked beef brisket, wet or dry-rubbed spare ribs, and sides like baked beans and collard greens. If you’re with a group, order the appropriately named Meatsweats box featuring the greatest hits: brisket, pulled pork, jerk chicken, dry-rubbed ribs, and hot links. We also love the sweet-and-spicy jerk chicken thigh sandwich and waffle fries. Hit up Ray Ray’s Franklinton truck, which conveniently sits next to Land-Grant Brewing’s beer garden and taproom, and is great for that chaotic nine-person group chat meet-up. But there are more locations like the original Clintonville truck next to Ace of Cups and a Victorian Village one that does a street food-style menu.  " - erin edwards, kindra peach

Google
Carolina sandwich was good but pretty dry. Prices have definitely skyrocketed, but that's to be expected. Overall, a good experience. The greens were excellent

Google
We had their food for Thanksgiving this year and it was out of this world. The turkey was amazing and the ham was to die for. We had to swing by and try their BBQ out in the wild and oh boy did they not disappoint.

Don’t know what made us look at the menu this time (vegetarian) but I’m so glad we did. The Burnt ends cauliflower sandwich was AMAZING!! And the waffle fries were cooked to perfection! Will def be getting that again! Highly recommend!

Google
Nice setup by a brewery (highlight of our meal, delicious cocktail and cider) but this review is about the food and the service. Burnt ribs, overcooked brisket, sausage, pulled pork, chicken... we ordered everything on the menu and couldn't eat any of it. This is not a serious place for good BBQ.

Google
This RayRays is a food truck with covered picnic table seating. The ribs and mac n cheese were great. The service was friendly and quick. We ate at the picnic tables. You can get drinks from the brewery across the parking lot and there is a big screen TV outside that was showing a European soccer match. I will say that we walked three blocks from COSI and the area felt a little sketchy.

Google
Best bbq I've ever had. Would give 5 stars, but they shorted my dessert on 3 separate occasions this month. I know I should check the bag, but I'm always in a hurry because I park my truck in a no parking area near Land Grant Brewery. No parking for big trucks 😪 lost out on $18 worth of desserts. 1 Carrot, 1 peach a 1 banana pudding. Wish someone would answer the phone?

Google
I ordered the brisket sandwich with Carolina vinegar sauce on the side, and waffle fries. The brisket was tender and juicy with a nice kissed smoky flavor. I could have used a touch more smoke, but that's coming from someone who really enjoys a lot of smoke flavor that others might find overwhelming. I actually preferred the sandwich without the sauce which I had ordered on the side. Thought that the brisket had enough great flavor on its own. Fries were crispy and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Nice to have this in the land grant brewery lot while enjoying a beer.

I spent years living in Texas so I’m particular about my BBQ. The sandwich buns were great and actually held up. The brisket was a bit dry for my taste but pulled pork was delicious. The fries were also probably best I’ve had in Columbus (unexpected surprise) and the Mac and cheese was yummy.

Yelp
I visited Ray Ray's food truck outside of Land Grant Brewing. I chose the Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of Waffle French Fries. The food was quickly prepared. The sandwich was stacked high with pork. The barbecue sauce had a great flavor. The Waffle Fries were also delicious. I finished the sandwich but couldn't eat all of the fries. I really enjoyed this order and will likely visit one of their trucks in the future.

Yelp
Seriously some of the best meats I've had, and I've had A LOT of BBQ/grilled/smoked meats! There is a tenderness and flavor in Ray Ray's offerings that are second to none, and those traits came through with flying colors in their special Brisket Poutine. Even though the Poutine won't be around forever, their Meatsweats dish will be, and you would be well served to indulge in it.

Yelp
Best BBQ in Columbus IMO. This location is prime and BBQ pairs perfectly with beer. The staff is always so nice. The server asked if my dog wanted a PUP CUP - and he gave my little boy a small cup full of meat The nicest thing ever. Over last summer - I've eaten my way through this whole menu. My favorite is the pulled pork sammi - the pulled pork sandwich is high quality and smoked to perfection, the sweet bbq is amazing but I recommend the habanero BBQ on the side or on top of. I also recommend the rib tips ($11 per lb) and not on the online menu. I always get the fries & Mac and cheese. Both a staple. The fry sauce is spicy and savory and the waffle fries are delish. The mac & cheese is so cheesy and perfectly spiced.

Adam G.

Yelp
I've had Ray Rays food truck outside of Land Grant twice. Both times were pretty average. They have a few traditional BBQ offerings including ribs (wet or dry), brisket, and pulled pork, as well as chicken thighs, pork chop, sausage and cauliflower burnt ends. The sides are a la cart and include baked beans, coleslaw, collard greens, waffle fries, and mac & cheese. The most popular are the waffles fries which are sold either by the half pound or whole pound. They come with a side of sriracha aioli. The sampler platter is deemed the 'Meatsweats' and includes brisket, pulled pork, jerk chicken, dry rubbed ribs, and a sausage link. I've tried both the meatsweats and a pulled pork sandwich with a variety of sauces and found both to be fairly average. I got a side of fries with the pulled pork sandwich and they were the best of the bunch. In sum, I probably wouldn't try Ray Rays again, but I'm sure this place gets some good business given the location at a brewery.

Yelp
Was in the area and decided we had the taste for BBQ. We stopped at Smoked on High but they were closed until January 4th. Yelped and found Ray Ray's 6 minutes away. Looked festive driving by so we decided to stop. Parking sucks. Had to go around the block 4 times before finding a spot 2 blocks away. Ordered the brisket sandwich, waffle fries and Mac n cheese. Also grabbed a side of pickled onions (nice touch!). The Brisket portion was generous and had just the right amount of smoke, mustard bbq sauce and juiciness. Waffle fries were abundant and again the right combo of seasoning and crunch without being greasy. The Mac n cheese was awesome!! Super cheesy and honestly I got the small size and glad I did because I was completely stuffed with all the food they give you. Definitely no complaints in the portion sizes. The brewery was what you would expect from a brewery, minus the surprising amount of children there with parents (no judging, just noticing). Great choice of craft brews at a reasonable price. We had to try the CBD Mule which was listed at 10% alcohol, but had us waiting for the "hit" which never came. I would pass on that one in the future. All in all it was a great first visit with the food being the most notable part.

Ellie R.

Yelp
Great food and fast service! Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauces/rubs had great flavor. The smoked chicken wings were a special, highly recommended getting them if you see them on the menu!

Yelp
No matter which location it is Ray Ray's in the CBus area is legit BBQ. Staff is always friendly and the food is right up there with some of the best BBQ in the country. This is coming from a connoisseur of sorts, having enjoyed the great, bad, and in between from Austin to St. Louis, and Durham to KC.

John R.

Yelp
Had the brisket and it was fantastic! Best brisket that I have had in the Columbus area. Food Truck at Land Grant

Melissa F.

Yelp
Today we decided to try Ray Ray's for the first time. It's our 26yr Anniversary and I told the very friendly gentleman who took my order just in general conversation and after wishing us a Happier Anniversary, he gave us each a free banana pudding! How thoughtful We ordered the "Meat Sweats" which was an array of all the meats they offer and it was excellent! The pulled pork was on point and juicy, the ribs were succulent and falling off the bone, the brisket was so tender it was sliced to perfection! My husband enjoyed the blend seasonings in the jerk, chicken and the hot links were delicious! We had the collard greens and they sure know their stuff in the kitchen! Anytime we are in Columbus, we will Definitely be back to Ray Ray's Hog Pit! Thanks for a great experience with exquisite food!

Richard F.

Yelp
My friend and I went here after the Arts Festival and we ordered the Meatsweats. This was a great amount of food for two people to split, it included a various amount of their meats! Also then you get two sides of BBQ sauce. The service was also very very speedy which is always appreciated. I think one opportunity for the meatsweats option was we needed more sauce. Only two little amounts wasn't enough for the amount of food.

Ya Y.

Yelp
Ray Ray's food truck was next to the Land Grant Brewing company. When my friends and aunt were hanging out at Land Grant, we also ordered some food from Ray Ray's. You can either wait in line to order or directly order from the online system (just make sure to order from the right location). I got some sausage and brisket. Both of them were delicious. They were juicy and flavorful. I liked the sauce too. The waffle fries were crispy and well seasoned!

Nick F.

Yelp
I could fill this review with lots of fluff, like they want me to, but all I need to say about Ray-Ray's is this: It's simply the best bbq around. Not even taking locally; I mean the best anywhere I've ever been around the country.

Macie P.

Yelp
Had a great time at Land Grant Brewing / Ray Ray's yesterday. We got some Ray Ray's from the food truck while we were there. We got the Bahama Mama, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and fries. My husband got the Bahama Mama, which he really liked. It was a big portion! I got the pulled pork sandwich, which was delicious. Their fries are so crispy and come with a tasty dipping sauce. We loved everything! After, we enjoyed watching the live music at Land Grant and while we had a couple drinks.

Kalah Rae F.

Yelp
I love Ray Ray's! It is the best barbecue in Columbus IMO. I lived on North Campus for a long time and was a regular on the Thursday-Sunday lineup of customers at the Ace of Cups location. I have also been to the brick and mortar in Granville that offers a ton of interesting items that I have never tried, that they dont offer at their food trucks (lengua, and scotch eggs to name two). Now I can't say that I will have either of those again just because they were way too weird for me, but I love that they offer them. All of the staples, the pork, brisket, cauliflower burnt ends, cauliflower, mac and cheese, and any dessert they offer that day, are excellent. I stopped at the Land Grant location during last Franklinton Fridays and the collards and cauliflower hit the spot. I ordered without the bun because I wasn't feeling sandwich-y, and it was still just as satisfying! If you have the chance to go to any Ray Ray's location just keep in mind that they run out of things later on in the day so get there early, especially if they're serving their grass fed brisket that day.

Kaoru M.

Yelp
Ray Ray's is probably the best BBQ in Columbus. Being indecisive, I couldn't decide which meat I wanted... so I ordered The Meat Sweats and tried them all! I usually like the pulled pork & briskets, and these were definitely great. But their chicken was really amazing. I previously called the smoked chicken wings at Old Skool the best non-fried chicken in Columbus, but Ray Ray's has now dethroned Old Skool in my mind. We also had their pork rinds and waffle fries, which were also excellent. Only caveat I would give is that although their waffle fries are on the menu as "1/2 pound" and "1 pound" and sound like a ton of fries... they're not actually a lot. What appears to be a side of waffle fries that people get with their sandwiches here corresponds to the "1/2 pound" order. This particular location at Land Grant Brewing really helps kick things up a notch at Land Grant. I'd call it a match made in heaven!

Dillon L.

Yelp
I'm from Texas and have high bbq standards but with that said, I'll say that Ray Ray's is pretty good! I only had the ribs though, so will have to save my final judgment for the true bbq measure: brisket. For Columbus bbq this spot was recommended by a friend. Ordered a half rack of baby back ribs with Carolina vinegar, which had a good amount of sauce for me. Traded a baby for a spare and the difference we found was that the baby back ribs had more meat than spare but spare was more tender. For ribs I'd choose tender over quantity any day, plus it's cheaper. So if you looking at the ribs then get the spare. Plus ordered a pound of waffle fries which are best described as dense not fluffy, which I don't think everyone will like. Plus the pork rinds for checking in on Yelp, that's a healthy meal right there. All in all, reasonably priced at $13 for half a rack. I will have to come back for the brisket and other meats sometime :)

Sheri S.

Yelp
I absolutely love Ray Ray's! They have delicious ribs and sandwiches that are smoked to perfection! But seriously, the best part I look forward to is the greens! They sure know how to make them delicious! It is a food truck outside of Land Grant, but is exceptional!

m z.

Yelp
Wife and I went to Nocterra Brewing in Powell and even though we're vegetarian 99% of the time when we smelled this BBQ we couldn't resist. We had the pulled pork sandwiches and the waffle fries and it was amazing!!! If you find this food truck don't pass it up!

Mark K.

Yelp
Finally got here, and it is just as good as the other Ray Ray's locations. Brought mom, who is on a limited diet but wanted BBQ. The guy at the window was completely cool, suggested items she might like, and gave us a sample of the greens to try (I've had them at the other locations and he wanted us to compare.) We had baby back ribs, dry rubbed. Excellent, better even than Ray Ray's usual ribs. Tender, but still taking a little to pull off the bone. Nice taste from the rub and smoke. Meaty, big ribs. Next was a brisket sandwich. Super tender- we shared the meat and mostly ignored the bun, and the brisket was literally falling apart as we picked it up. Again, super tasty, with huge depth of flavor. Sauce on the side for both, and they didn't need any, but dipping into it once in a while changed things up nicely. We had the sweet and the Carolina, both great. The bun is really good, we were just interested in the meat. Sides were the greens, lots of flavor, cooked down just right; and the baked beans. Those are exactly how I like my beans: thick sauce (not soupy,) brisket mixed in, tons of flavor both sweet and savory. This is really the only location where you can eat inside easily (okay, I guess Ace of Cups too, but I always forget about that.) Land Grant has plenty of tables, and of course beverages- free water, the standard pops, and, you know, some interesting beers.

Amber S.

Yelp
The menu at this location is slightly different than the Ace of Cups location. The service is just as great. They have waffle fries which seems like a natural pairing with a brat burger or some smoked meat. I went with the pork rinds. The dry rub seasoning is used on them. Smokey with a hint of heat. But not an uncomfortable heat at all. Brisket is fantastic. A friend of mine who lived in Texas proclaimed it as legit barbecue - just as good if not better than what you might find there.

Paul W.

Yelp
The real deal. I had the jerk chicken sandwich with Extra Jerk Sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly with the right amount of char and the meat was juicy and tender. The heat from the jerk sauce is on point. Not over powering and just the enough heat to set the sandwich apart from a plain old chicken sandwich. I wish I had ordered two but the line was too long to go back for another.

Casey G.

Yelp
Ray Ray's is a food truck parked at Land Grant. Skip the line by ordering food via your cellphone and then pick it when it's ready. Their meat is full of smoky flavor. I got the pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries. We ended up at Land Grant just for the barbeque.

Oli G.

Yelp
Got the $28 meat sweats and I'd like to declare that it was WAY better than the pseudo "platter" you get at that new spot that opened in Clintonville. Look at my other reviews and you know exactly who I'm talking about! First the ribs could be meatier and juicier as it seemed to more bone than anything but the smoke taste was definitely infused. Also if the ribs are going to be that SMALL then get up off of more than 3 little ribs! The brisket had flavor infused as well but was very slightly dry and a little rubbery but not bad and definitely edible. Other BBQ places may give you brisket options of lean or fatty and I would've chose fatty which is a juicier cut of brisket but this place doesn't give you the option, they choose it for you. The sausage was really good and fairly large. The two chicken breasts were super tasty and quintessentially BBQ where sauces weren't even necessary for the chicken. Nevertheless the star of the show was the PULLED PORK! Boy oh boy that was some of the best pulled pork I've had in awhile. Like the wife was saying that the pork is a cut of meat you could easily screw up in the BBQ process by drying out the meat but Ray Ray's pulled it off masterfully. We tried one of each of their sauces and the stars were the habanero bbq and their original bbq flavors. The pickled onions and pickle are more for decoration or show so we didn't bother with those. The Mac and Cheese was decent but the wife didn't care for it. I found it decent though, not the best, just decent. Parking was a little weird down there as there are plenty of wide open areas to park but it's partitioned off with millions of signs from the city about threats to impound, tow, and fine you should you park there which makes you paranoid to park anywhere. 3 stars because of parking, the ribs, and the brisket. Nevertheless we'd go back for some pulled pork sandwiches, waffle fries, and maybe a Stout brownie which I forgot to order. Go elsewhere for ribs, brisket, and Mac and cheese, but wherever you go make sure it's not at that new BBQ spot in Clintonville. Overall we'd try this place again for a few more other menu options that we didn't try on this trip.

Mandy P.

Yelp
Some of the most affordable and delicious bbq I have had. Check in for free pork rinds! Pork rinds - a little on the dry side. I like pork rinds to ooze a little oil, but I could only eat about 4 of these before I gave up Jerk chicken - loved the spices and the meat was juicy. Pickled onions on top were a perfect compliment Brisket - loved the fatty pieces. So tender. There were some pieces that were so lean they dried out my mouth Beans - these were a little too sweet, so I could only enjoy a couple spoonfuls Collards - loved the sourness of these. Kind of like sauerkraut but warm and with meat Coleslaw - a pretty standard slaw, really delicious! And added some freshness to the heavy meal

Tom H.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Beef Brisket I've ever had and I travel a lot and Ray Ray's is by far the best! Great portions too! Must go to if you like brisket!

Sarah M.

Yelp
There are few things more quintessentially summer than barbecue. I've had Ray Ray's at multiple locations and the are consistently delicious, which speaks well of the joint's smokers and cooks. The meat is always tender and there's *just enough* sauce without being too much or too little. I've had a few of their menu items, but my favorite is the pulled pork. It's soft and melt in your mouth, with a full smoky flavor. Not too fatty with any of those not-so-palatable mouthfuls of fatty tissue. Smooth and even textured. The quantity is also good. I'm usually a little wary of portion sizes in food trucks, especially for sandwiches. However, this was a great bang for the buck. $7 gets you satisfied and satiated. And can we talk about those buns real quick? I tried to find where they sourced them, but couldn't find the info on their site. I'd love to know because I'd buy them for myself. They're not quite brioche and more like a roll in texture. They're soft and and have a great mouthful that works really well with the overall texture of the sandwich. I think this goes without saying, but they're signature bbq sauce is great. Smoky, sweet, straightforward. Worked seamlessly with the pork. I also ordered the cauliflower burnt ends with their spicy jerk, but unfortunately they weren't crispy or burnt. Some felt a little over-cooked/blanched for too long. The jerk is definitely spicy. I'd love to see bigger pieces of cauliflower and more true to the description for the $7 price point. If they made a sammie from the cauliflower, this would serve as a great as a vegetarian option. Despite the cauliflower, all of my other experiences have been stellar, and this place still has a 5-star rating in my heart and stomach.

Richelle T.

Yelp
Let me start off my saying I'm a Texan. A long tall, BBQ eating, cowgirl boot wearing Texan....who moved here from Austin (is BBQ mecca). I had a pulled pork sandwich, the spare ribs, cauliflower, waffle fries and Mac and cheese. The spare ribs were great. Honestly I was impressed. The dry rub was great and loved having the Carolina sauce on the side. Yum. Beat thing we had no contest. I tried the pulled pork because of other reviews. It wasn't bad but I didn't think it was that special to be honest. If I had it again I would do the sandwich with Cole slaw on top, I can see that waking it up some. The sauce is good and carries most of the weight here. Hubby had the Mac and cheese, he liked it. Cauliflower it was great. I liked the fresh take on it with jerk. Well done. Waffle fries - wow. I don't even like French fries. I gotta say, they were impeccable. In summary ribs, waffle fries and you'll be good to go.

Diana V.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Ray Ray's... and it was ridiculously good!!! We tried their brunch menu items (tacos and the wrap), mac&cheese, and waffle fries. The meat was delicious, the fried egg in my taco was clutch, and the prices were so reasonable. Each brunch menu item was only $8! Must come back and try the other items here. I'm a huge fan!

Jane L.

Yelp
Came to listen to music and drink some beer but decided to get some bbq as an added bonus! I have had ray ray's in the past was was excited about the spare ribs and waffle fries. FYI - they sell their sides by weight! You can get a half pound of fries or brisket so you don't need to just get the meals or sandwiches. We got the dry rubbed slab and the sweet bbq on the side. The ribs were SO DRY!!! I thought maybe my one rib was just drier than the rest but all of the rest were also dry. We thought maybe letting the sauce soak in would help but you can't make bone dry meat tender again. We did get food later in the day so maybe that was a factor. Either way I don't recommend getting anything but the sides at the end of the day because the ribs are probably dry after sitting all day. BUT our waffle fries were tasty! They were topped with a dill salt and had a spicy dressing on the side. It was unexpected but delicious and the fries were perfectly hot and crispy! They have got to be one of my new faves.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
I've been around Land Grant a few times and every time, I always love the smells from Ray Ray's and so many people have raved about it. Finally got the chance to try when my parents were in town and was so glad we finally did! We popped by on a Saturday night around 6PM - it was kind of a yucky day, but many people were still in/around Land Grant enjoying Ray Ray's. We only waited for ~15 min in line to order, and then as soon as our order was placed, we got our food in approx 3 min - such fast service! Land Grant was popping inside so we were worried about having somewhere to sit, but luckily we snagged a table right after a small party left. For eats, we all opted for a BBQ sandwich - I went for the brisket, my dad for the Carolina BBQ, and my mom for the pulled pork. The brisket was pretty awesome - so tender and so flavorful, even without sauce. I got the sweet BBQ sauce on the side and that brought out the flavors even more. The meat was so good, I wound up taking off half of the bread to just enjoy the brisket by itself! My mom and dad also loved theirs - they appreciated the amount of meat on each sandwich, and my dad particularly liked the pairing of the slaw with the vinegar-based sauce on the Carolina BBQ. We all split a large order of the waffle fries (only offered at the Land Grant location), which was solid too. I wish they had ketchup for dipping, but the BBQ sauce made a good substitute. We also shared pork rinds (pro tip: free with Yelp check in!), which were good - I've never had before, so nothing to compare too. However, they were still crackling when we got them, and continued to crackle as we ate, so that was legit. The flavor was OK, very crispy and light, but again, no comparison so hard to know how they are vs others. The price couldn't be beat - we got all our meals for just around $30 and were quite full afterwards. Overall, Ray Ray's is a solid BBQ spot in Columbus. While it certainly isn't southern BBQ (Charleston BBQ is quite devine), it is pretty legit for Midwest. I love the fact that they stationed outside of Land Grant - what better pairing then BBQ and beer?? I would definitely eat at Ray Ray's again, and I certainly would recommend them to anyone looking for solid BBQ in Columbus!

Doug S.

Yelp
First time trying these guys and they did Not disappoint. Got the ribs and collard greens on the side. You get your choice sauces and I chose the habanero, which wasn't all too hot. Excellent flavor and tender. The baby backs are probably more tender but I love spare ribs. After some time drinking i ordered the cracklings. I had to wait a few minutes because they're made fresh. When they were handed to, they were still popping! Awesome. Those too were delicious.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
They do a great job on the meat sweats, especially the chicken, pork and sausage. These alone are deserving of 5 stars. The ribs and brisket were decent but not my favorite. The burnt ends are my only complaint. I live in Kansas City and they claim these are Arthur Bryant style but taste nothing like theirs or the other top KC bbq Joes, gates. Jack stack, or q39.

Lauren J.

Yelp
While checking out various breweries we stumbled upon Ray Ray's! They had a food truck that lingered the most delicious smelling bbq! We decided it must be a sign to grab lunch. There was a line of about 15 people deep, so you knew it must be worth the wait. We shared a meal which included a pulled pork sandwich, ribs, and waffle fries! I read people were raving about the ribs which were good, but I enjoyed the pulled pork a bit more. Both were full of flavor and the perfect amount of smoke. Now the waffle fries were on point! They gave you a yummy sauce that seemed to be a mix of mayo and hot sauce? Not sure but equally good! If you're in the area or see their truck it's worth stopping!

Adam C.

Yelp
Ray Ray's is a food truck that serves up BBQ outside the Land Grand brewery. I got a free order of pork rinds with a Yelp check-in and they were tossed in a mild spice rub - a yummy way to start our meal! I went for the brisket sandwich with baked beans and waffle fries. The serving of brisket was generous and the meat was smoky and tender. The Carolina BBQ sauce and fries were just okay. The star of the show were the baked beans: they were succulent and flavorful with chunks of brisket mixed in. Truly delicious. Overall a fun spot to grab something to eat with your beer.

Zoey H.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday afternoon; the line was pretty long but DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT! We got 2 full slabs of baby backs for 4 people (with Mac and cheese and some other sides as shown in picture), and that was MORE THAN ENOUGH! we were all so full! the sauce came on the side, and I must say they have the best bbq sauce I've ever had in my 25 years of life (not kidding) the meat was juicy and flavorful! Will visit again :))

Yelp
First trip to the food truck outside Land Grant. Having spent years living in Texas I am very particular about my BBQ. Although I usually eat my bbq straight meat, I actually really enjoyed the buns used for sandwiches here. The brisket was a bit dry for my taste but I'm used to Texas. The pulled pork was delicious and a very hearty serving. The fries were A-Mazing (unexpected for bbq joint). The Mac and cheese was not good as I expected but was very good. Highly recommend a stop.

Yelp
Best brisket I've ever had, and the habanero BBQ was great as well. You know you're hooked when you start daydreaming about it and frequently looking at pics of it on yelp : () It's become one of my favorite outings, eating Ray Rays at Land Grant. Such a great combination. Also just as great was the service. Fun, personable, hard workers who clearly care about the brand. Ray Rays is pretty badass.

Yelp
Lip Smaking Good!! Chomped down on 'sweet meats" a variety of perfectly smoked meat offerings. Was enough to share!! Pigged Out with lips smaking and fingers licking silence at an outdoor area that just spells fun. Of course a few ummm's and oh's broke into the silence. Brisket yum...ribs yum...pulled pork yum yum..but my favorite was the Rayrays hot links stuffed with green chilis and american cheese ,I oinked with every bite. Good thing it is served with plenty of napkins to sop up the the chin drips!! Choice of 4 sauces, tried the sweet and Carolina. Compliments all the meats ! Great place to pig out!

Yelp
I've been in denial. last year, I think I got into the habit of eating Hot chicken takeover every other week or so, but for whatever reason I've been on the BBQ kick and every thursday I start to dream about RayRay's brisket sandwich and Ribs and when monday hits and I realized I didnt get my RayRay fix I'm hitting the monday blues real hard. Ribs are great. brisket awesome (although I'm not digging the new bread and preferred the old bun). Get the waffle fries, and don't forget your free pork rinds with a yelp check in. oh and Carolina vinegar all the way.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Ray Ray's because a guy I knew raved about it in the past ("What?! You've NEVER had Ray Ray's?!") I had been in the mood for some good BBQ and this showed up as a trending hot spot on Yelp. When I saw on their website that their Land Grant Brewery location (food truck) had waffle fries, I knew that I HAD to go to this location. I stopped by for some takeout on a cold Saturday around 2pm. There was only one couple in front of me and they were quickly handed their food. I knew I had to get the brisket because of everything I had heard about it. I ordered a brisket sandwich with their house BBQ sauce and a side of waffle fries. Weirdly enough, the menu showed that there were three sizes of fries but when I ordered, they told me they only came in one size. It was no big deal but just thought that was weird. The staff here is SO friendly. I enjoyed chatting and joking around with them as they prepped my food. It was ready almost immediately. I was so excited to try it when I got home! My car smelled soooo amazing. My mouth watered the whole way home. When I got home and sat down to eat, I was a little disappointed with the texture of the brisket. I love moist, pulled brisket that is similar to pulled pork in texture (think if you get brisket at Condado- that kind!). But this is basically "chunked" brisket. I found a few pieces that had quite a bit of fat on them so I threw them off to the side. Overall, just average brisket. The sauce was also just ok. Didn't really meet my expectations. I am weird though because I really like sweet BBQ sauce (I was practically raised on Montgomery Inn sauce and also love Famous Dave's Rich and Sassy flavor). So this was just not sweet or flavorful enough for me. If you like Sweet Baby Rays though, you may enjoy this sauce. The fries were also a letdown. I was so excited for them but they were cheap in my opinion. They didn't have really any flavor, not even much salt. And there were a ton that kind of stuck together in one chunk that made me feel like it was just frozen and thrown into a fryer. Chickfila waffle fries are waaaaaaay better! All in all, I had decently high hopes that just weren't met. The staff was the best part about my visit there. It's a place you should try at least once. But unfortunately I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Yelp
The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was good...but man, those waffle fries were the best I've had. I would go back just to have those again. And I can't forget the free pork rind samples--I was in heaven. Overall: reasonably priced, quick, and a nice lunch spot (even when it's a rainy day).

Yelp
Best BBQ in Columbus. I love getting the brisket and waffle fries. When they have smoked wings, get them!

Yelp
There is a reason I don't order from food trucks. I never have liked them and this one was no different. I got served a brisket sandwich that was 60% fat. It was disgusting. The last thing I wanted on a hot summer day was to have to tear off all the fat in my sandwich to make it edible. The waffle fries were overcooked and tough. Never ever again.

Yelp
I'm so glad Land Grant has added Ray Ray's to their brewery! Located in a food truck off the patio, you can smell the BBQ goodness from miles away. In our experience the line was short and the food came out immediately. I went with the beef brisket sandwich with a dry rub, although you can choose from their four different sauces. I also got an order of waffle fries and was not disappointed! The portion size was huge and very filling. The meat itself was tender and seasoned to perfection. Definitely the best bbq destination in downtown Columbus.

Yelp
I seriously never knew how much I loved bbq and smoked meats until I tried Ray Rays. Now it's impossible to go to Land Grant without stopping at their food truck! I have been back to ray rays and their other locations many times! The line is not usually long, so I suggest getting in it as soon as you can. On the bright side, it moves very fast and once you place your order the food is out within minutes! I ordered the hot link sandwich ($7) and 1/2 lb waffle fries ($3) while my boyfriend ordered the Carolina chopped pork sandwich ($8) and pork rinds (free with yelp check in). It took at most 5 minutes to get our order, very fast! The Hot link was a cheese and hatch Chile sausage link and was absolutely delicious. I loved getting little pops of cheese in each bite! I actually ended up taking the sausage off the bread because it was just too good not to eat by itself! The waffle fries were also good, they had the perfect amount of crisp for me! My boyfriend said the Carolina Chopped pork sandwich was good as well and the cole slaw and bbq sauce on top really made it come full circle! The pork rinds that he got were so fresh that they were still crackling for a good 10 minutes after we got them! Seating is easy, you can sit anywhere within the land Grant area. They have plenty of picnic tables in front of a stage for when there are events and a patio with fire pits. If you haven't been to Ray Rays I highly suggest you go check it out, you'll be blown away by how good it really is! I suggest the Land Grant location the most because I mean who wouldn't want an ice cold beer with Ray Rays?!

Yelp
Food truck food next to a brewery, does usually have such great food. The three of us split up the Meat Sweats tray , oh my. The dry rub ribs where my favorite, it was was all great food. The side of greens hit the spot! I highly recommend that you take advantage of this food while enjoying a beer at Land Grant brewery.

Yelp
Perfection in a box. The meat sweats box was fantastic! Everything was smoked to perfection, loved the pickle. All the meats were flavorful and seasoned very well. Couldn't have been better. Perfect to share and we had leftovers.

Yelp
This is the best BBQ in Columbus! I would recommend the Meat Sweats and the jerk chicken. Get a pound of jerk chicken to go for lunch throughout the week
