Google
Great spot to chill and have a drink with friends or colleagues. The drinks are great and the staff is very friendly. The food is pretty decent but being the fry connoisseur that I am, their fries could be a little better.

Google
Their nachos were tortillas with melted American cheese on it and house chili, some parts were cold. We ordered an added protein on the nachos, it didn't come out, we ordered sauce on our wings and they weren't sauced and frankly once we got it they were actually worse not better. Half of the drinks we ordered from the menu weren't available, not out of stock just not available anymore, and they didn't update the menu to put the correct stuff on there. The only pleasant surprise was the music, the band that was there looked like a bunch of retirees and we were ready for them to be the cherry on top, but they actually were good, just kept getting feedback on their equipment so loud it hurt our ears. The food used to be better, but I guess whoever had that magic touch is gone now....

This was a great place to go to when it first opened, but their quality has gone down hill. The last few times I ordered from them, their fried pickles were super soggy and the Cuban sandwich had really dry pork. Last time I ordered from them they put tostitos chip in a container, like I wouldn't have noticed when they serve their tricolor chips all the time. I could have went to the store myself and bought some. This time, the Buffalo chicken dip was separating. The oil was rising to the top, and there was 20% dip, and 80% chicken. Pretty gross. Going to give it some time before I go again. Update: Decided to give it a shot after four months. Many places in Rockaway were packed for a Saturday, and noticed they were empty, so we decided to give it a shot. They sat us, we sat there for 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged us, so we left. Service has always sucked, but I can't believe how bad it was and how bad this place has gone downhill over the years.

Google
Absolutely not. Waited an hour and a half for what ended up being a monstrous bowl of bland, watery Kraft mac n' cheese with some pork, three literal pieces of tiny ribs, and some cold, freezer bag fries. Felt bad for the waiter/host who was pouring sweat running back and forth having to tell people they were out of everything. At that point, with no bartender, no food, and a bunch of customers laughing at the ridiculousness of it all, just close it up or keep it at drafts and finger food because this was absurd.

Google
It's a nice place. The food was decent. Portion sizes were large. The nachos appetizer was very good. I had the baby back ribs. They were good but a bit salty and a little tough. The brisket my daughter got was tasty but a bit dry. My son had the mac and meat. It was probably the best of our entrees. The atmosphere was loud. It's more of a bar scene than a BBQ restaurant. The service was ok. I think they were understaffed though. The food came fast and hot, but then we rarely saw our waitress after the food came out. I had to track down a runner to get take away trays brought to the table. All in all, I cant give it more than 3 stars. I've had better BBQ with better service elsewhere.

Google
The “pulled pork” is almost exactly the same as what my corner deli sells as ‘pernil’. There was zero ‘bbq’ about it. The ‘red beans’? Get this, they taste like beans, not meat, not molasses, just beans. In a tiny cup like they serve free creamer in. And next to that is a twin tiny cup of literally raw, unseasoned vegetables they call cole slaw. The owner should be ashamed of themselves, no one should be allowed to call this sad mess ‘barbecue’.

Google
Rated 5 stars 2 years ago . Had to update idk what is going on with the inconsistency of the food at this place . Its NOT as good as it was . The menu description doesnt even match the food you're served . Was venting and my coworker said yup everyone is saying that ! Ordered the chicken lettuce wraps , menu says pulled chicken yet I got romaine boats filled with breaded diced chicken . It was NOT good !Food and atmosphere is decent . I enjoy going during the winter when there are only locals or less it is too crowded .The food is pretty good. The wings can tend to be dry if they weren't smoked the same day , which has only happened twice . The music is really bad when there isn't a band . Five stars is for the service , the workers are cool and accommodating!

Google
Service was a little slow, probably because they made the food up from scratch, the food was excellent, and their fries are probably the best I've had yet. It was worth a wait. They were a bit more expensive than average (for me), but worth it. Despite the cost, I thought I got good value for my money. I need an excuse to go back.

Yelp
We stopped here for some drinks and food to take with us at Rockaway beach. RBQ is such a cool restaurant, I'd love to visit again and dine inside when Covid-19 is over. The restaurant inside is huge with lots of seatings at the bar and also have table seatings. And the folks working here were so chillen, welcoming and helpful with giving tips on what's the hottest items on the menu. We decided to order their bbq chicken sandwich with fried onion rings. The chicken was rich juicy bbq pulled chicken that was flavorful. It's my first time trying a bbq pulled chicken sandwich. I'd also tried their regular french fries which was so good. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't have such good french fries for over 3 months. They have a variety of alcoholic beverages. My favorite though were the frozen rum punch.

Kristi U.

Yelp
Place closed down. Has new owners and renamed the place. Haven't tried it yet. They just opened..

Yelp
After a glorious day at the beach, my friend and I weighed options for dinner in the vicinity. While there was an outdoor food court on the boardwalk with several cuisine options at Beach 97, we didn't find it too exciting. My friend previously did some homework and carefully mapped out other options. As we walked a bit, we saw RBQ from afar, nearly taking up the entire block. The aroma of bbq drew us in and became our choice for a very satisfying dinner. Friday's special was 2 for 1 drinks but only at the bar. We saw two available seats and made a run for it. Anything from the menu was also served at the bar and we got things started with Rose (canned). We were surprised to see it in a can since we wanted wine from a bottle, but this was quite good. Very. As we looked over the menu, there was lots to choose from: burgers, ribs, chicken, chicken & ribs and tacos--among other specialities. We decided to share two mains which were served with a choice of one side. My friend chose the tacos ($12): 3 tacos in a serving (we selected 2 chicken and 1 shrimp) accompanied by truffle fries that were way too delicious. I kept it a bit healthier (coughing) and selected the BBQ Chicken ($18)with a side of grilled vegetables and a choice of sauce. Good old BBQ sauce. We evenly split both mains. The tacos were delicious. No skimping on the filling (including a nice added surprise of avocado). And did I mention how good the truffle fries were? The BBQ Chicken was in fact an entire half and the medley of grilled vegetables was the perfect accompaniment. The chicken was prepared perfectly, juicy with a smoky flavor. Both mains were equally excellent & filling with great price points. As the evening wore on, locals and beach goers filled up the space and it had a cozy, neighborhood feeling to it. Good music played in the background and in summary we were very pleased with our dinner. Good food, music, prices, service and atmosphere. Who could ask for anything more? Winner and will be returning.

Richard F.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and the food is really good portion size too. I would definitely go back

David M.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Best brisket I've ever had. Staff is friendly and welcoming. 1st time I was there I didn't know anyone. I just moved to Rockaway. Now I have 20 to 30 new friends. The atmosphere is great . Everyone who frequents this place are absolutely the friendliest people ever. So happy I moved to Rockaway! Keep doing what your doing RBQ's

Yelp
I have never felt inclined to leave a poor review, but this meal was unacceptable. I overheard the server (singular! One server for Memorial Day) tell another table that the restaurant was closing. In my opinion, they shouldn't have been open on this day at all. There was no bartender, the restaurant was out of several staple menu items, and the service was sadly abysmal. I ordered rib tips and truffle fries, and my friend ordered Mac & brisket. Over a half hour after ordering we were informed that they had run out of brisket. Over an hour later we got our food: the fries were refrigerator cold, the rib tips were actually 3 ribs in a bowl (I should have taken a picture), and the Mac & pulled pork (not brisket) was disappointing at best. All in all, an hour and a half wait for an overpriced, scrappy bowl of food. The poor server was drenched in sweat and looked to be on the brink of tears the whole time. We didn't complain, but at the very least there should have been discounts for the items we ordered that we didn't receive. The lone server deserves the bar's profit for the entire day. This place shouldn't be open and I am truthfully angry at the owner for allowing this chaos.

Brian D.

Yelp
If I could give this place a 3.25 or 3.5, I would. It was decent. Very divey; I was admittedly a little drunk before I came into the place, but had some decent ribs. I thought the staff was great. Our waitress was very good, and the bartenders were helpful as well. I'd give it another shot. I think a Brother Jimmy's type place is a fair comparison. The food is decent, cheap drinks, and a nice divey hangout for some booze, bbq and music. I wouldn't come in here expecting anything groundbreaking, but if you're nearby coming from the beach, you can do both worse and better in Rockaway.

Emma B.

Yelp
This place looked/sounded promising and ended up being very disappointing. We had ordered a half rack pork ribs with mashed potatoes, the Mac n Meat. Taste over all was very bland, especially the Mac and cheese, The ribs were cooked well but lacked in flavor, and half of the ribs ended up being super fatty and inedible. Mashed potatoes were very dry, the BBQ sauce was alright, I've had better, especially for the prices. Overall super disappointed.

Meredith B.

Yelp
Music is so loud to even have a decent conversation. Also the food took so long to even arrive. Waitress didn't even bother telling us there was a 15 min wait until I asked her the status of our food as it has been close to 45 min wait. She used the same excuse found in a different review "the kitchen is backed up" when the place wasn't even packed. She barely checked up on us. Finally, when the food arrived I thought maybe a miracle would happen and that it would have been worth the wait. You know the difference between eating food for enjoyment vs. necessity? Yea, eat the food here if you are in desperate need for survival. Otherwise, pass this sad excuse of a restaurant.

Akash V.

Yelp
Not a bad local joint for BBQ. There are two BBQ places in the peninsula and I might tip my hat to the other one but this is still comparable. The staff is friendly and it's a nice half bar half restaurant kind of feel. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich and the meat was well cooked. Got some onion rings on there which were ok. The bun was a soft and crispy brioche style bun. Overall not bad for the Rockaways. Nice atmosphere

Heather C.

Yelp
Came in after a day at the beach and were looking for something good. We stumbled upon this place and ordered the nachos and the $3 rib tips along with a $3 can of wine and beer. The nachos were delicious and the chili on top was flavorful and hearty. The rib tips were so tender. A little salty for my liking but cooked perfectly. Service was great someone came to clear our plates as soon as we were done and gave us extra wet naps. Would come back!

Linda G.

Yelp
Went inside to sit down for dinner. Was told restaurant was closed for a private party. Possibly a sign should have been posted on the door

Christina C.

Yelp
This restaurant is very cute, friendly service and good bbq food. I tried their brisket platter which was good minus the really fatty parts. The meat was tender and had good flavor. The portion is huge. I was hesitant on trying the mac & cheese based on other reviews but I loved it. It wasn't your baked kind. This was very cheesy and creamy and I was a fan. They also have a really good beer selection here. My only complaint is that we ordered a side of corn bread and it was brought out after our meal. Other than that everything was great :)

Dionne H.

Yelp
Casual bar / restaurant that provides a small town vibe I ordered chicken wings and an side of chili I asked the hostess what cheeses are in the mac and cheese..she quickly mentions cheddar but did not know anything else I ordered the sweet barbecue sauce with the wings but honestly I was given two sample cups of pancake syrup. The chili was ok and it came with a piece of hard cornbread

Christal Y.

Yelp
A spot near the beach. Wish I'd been able to try the pulled pork or some other BBQ. My friend ordered chicken tacos which were super lack luster. Like... shredded white meat chicken with diced raw onions and raw tomatoes... eh, doesn't really count as cooking. The fries were surprisingly really good? Service seemed fine. They kind of ignored us, so that was weird.

Danielle L.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place. From the establishment to the food and the services. I came here with my boyfriend for lunch, we ordered way to much and were not disappointed. To start we got the buffalo chicken dip which was devoured within a few minutes of being on the table. My only thing with this is that I feel there could have been a little more chicken, but other then that the taste was awesome. I got the Mac and meats combo which was a bowl of Mac and cheese with burnt ends in it topped with cornbread and onion stings. This was AWESOME everything had such good flavor I didn't even finish half of it because of how filling it was. My boyfriend got the pulled pork with truffle fries, the pork was cooked perfectly not one bite was over cooked. We got two different sauces to try the chipotle honey and the spicy sauce, they also leave their regular Bbq sauce on the table to use which had a really good flavor. The truffle fries were cooked perfectly not an over powering truffle flavor just the right amount and the fries were perfectly crunchy. I will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu. This place did not disappoint at all!

Yelp
Hard to believe that this place mentions it had any type of association with Swingbelly's in Long Beach. Placed a pickup order on a recent early Sunday afternoon and was told to come pick it up in 15 min. Knowing that it's football season, decided to give them an extra 10 min. grace period. Got there and was told just another 5 more min. The 5 min. turned into 15, then 20 then 30 min. Did I mention, there were only 6 people in the place at the bar and a table of 2 diners. Now for the depressing part. 1 Appetizer of 6 Smoked Wings, so dried out, was like eating saw dust. 3 Brisket Sandwich orders, one drier then next. 2 orders of Mac & Cheese with Burnt Ends; the cheese so congealed that reheating it still required a pneumatic jackhammer to break through. The burnt ends, non-existent. 1 Large Side of Cole Slaw was just about the only edible component of the meal. Either I got the previous nights unsold stock or there was no one in the Kitchen that actually gave a crap what was being sent out. Anyway, best advice is unless they are comping your meal, it's probably best to avoid the food and maybe stick to the drinks, but I wouldn't know about the bar service.

Frances L.

Yelp
Best bbq in the Rockaways! Definitely try the truffle chicken cheesesteak and the pickle chips.

Winsome C.

Yelp
Love the wings here!! Very juicy and flavorful. Sauce options are great too! Will definitely return.

Ricardo R.

Yelp
Came back to celebrate my 51 birthday with My Family and Sons girlfriend. We had a Blast and the food was Amazing, We order the The Live Action ( Ribs , 1/2 BBQ Chicken , Brisket, Pull pork, Chicken wings and Sausage) and comes with 3 side orders. We also had 3 order of the Nachos and an xtra order of Mac and Cheese. Amazing !!! I really want to thank RBQ for an Amazing time , we will definitely come back again and again

Darryl B.

Yelp
Always give me beautiful meaty ribs and when I go Bone and Bird it's a great day in My neighborhood. Plenty of screens for Games galore and world wide sports. Right on and shake your Turkey Leg(Delicious)!

Beatriz O.

Yelp
Mac n cheese is a staple of any bbq food, so when the waitress said it's their #1 dish we eagerly ordered it. It was by far the worst ever. I was better off eating Mac n Cheese from a box. The presentation was as horrible as the food tasted. We ordered drinks which were as equally as bad. The Draft beer was flat w/no head. The only good thing was the rib tips. Very disappointed

Roxie C.

Yelp
WOW the rib tips were amazing. Our waitress Taylor was so friendly what a pleasure. The chicken was so soft and juicy I loved it. The specials were amazing. Beer was nice and cold!! I can't wait to go again with friends.

Bruce W.

Yelp
Ok I gave them another chance. This time the heavy set guy got off his ass and actually delivered the food to my apt. And the food was surprisingly warm. Good shit, I'm glad you guys are trying to fix it up a bit. But don't fuck up because I'll Yelp your ass faster then you can say Jack Robinson.

Cindy T.

Yelp
Doing the neighborhood a solid - DO NOT GO HERE! Not real BBQ. Chicken - dry, flavorless. Ordered through seamless and it took over an hour. Lesson learned. Wish they had negative stars.

John S.

Yelp
Possibly the driest piece of brisket I ever had. Dumped three containers of bbq sauce on it and still couldn't hide that it was dry and over cooked. If this was the first time this happened here I wouldn't being leaving a review this is now the second time in a row. They also changed the Mac and cheese recipe and it's not good. It basically tasted like buttered noodles .no thank you. I won't be returning.

Natalija C.

Yelp
First time here finally got here... Food was okay nothing to come back too Cuban sandwich was good however very fatty and not enough pork they have to learn how to even put a sandwich not pickles on one side and not the other no mayo or mustard that's not Cuban but didn't even finish a half of a half the flavor was there...my daughter ordered the pulled pork over Texas toast it was really dry and some parts burnt with fat that is disappointing... Mac and cheese is okay taste like velveeta ...our mashed potatoes were sour had to return And got corn bread which was not great don't know if shitty service is normal here or not but was definitely not good won't come back and that is sad!!! They need a new chef

Dawn E.

Yelp
Drinks - sweet tea vodka... At first I had to question of it had alcohol (it did, but ) in it and mojito with no mint leaves Jalapeño poppers- jalapeño were tasteless, no spice at all, and can barely taste pork. DON'T Buy the cornbread... Music was fun! Restaurant packed Wait staff nice

Crystal J.

Yelp
Awesome, spot real chill. Great food!!! I'm so grateful I found this local spot. No long wait, customer service great what more could you ask for.

Marianne S.

Yelp
I really want to support RB local businesses. I live in the area and when new places open up I get stupid excited because we don't have a lot of options on the peninsula but lately it has been growing. Anyway, parking is dumb. Good luck, park residential because this main strip has a handful of parking on the sides-most which are taken. The outside is festive and really stands out in the frumpy grey of the other places that surround it. The inside is gorgeous-it is new, full of warm wood colors and spacious. I went here on a holiday weekend Friday and was surprised how much space there was despite the crowd! Service was awesome! The waiters were friendly and have the patience of angels because it was a hectic night! Despite some unruly patrons ( who looked homeless, I must admit and should have been kicked out a lot sooner ) the management and waiters brought food and drinks out quick. They checked up on the people and were just pleasant. One of my complaints is the music-it was strange playing loud hip-hop ( Which I do like) because it was blasting atop the television screens playing sports. It just didn't go with the atmosphere. I'm being frivolous, maybe? Anyway, there are some pretty neat drink options-I had the jumbo margarita which was tasty but super expensive for 25 bucks. I also ordered the chicken wings, 1/2 baby back ribs and truffle fries, oh and corn bread. The wings I feel were the best dish. The chicken was juicy, crispy and had a decent flavor. Plus, the portion was huge. The truffle fries were okay, not enough truffle taste in my opinion. The baby back rib was alright- I was expecting more flavor and more fall apart from the bone type experience. The food overall wasn't bad, however I can see this place doing well for a sports hang out. Overall? I would come back here to try new dishes but I'm in no rush to be honest. However, if beer and wings and sports are your thing the I recommend it.

D D.

Yelp
This place has roaches (per yelp and health dept) And a B grade from health department. Yet they do not post their B conspicuously. Extremely overpriced based on menu. Also they disrespect the community allowing people to double park, causing unsafe traffic situations in an area with alot of elderly and kids

Courtney B.

Yelp
Not a great place but not the worst place i've been to. Ordered Truffle fries, the BLVD. Burger, Mac and Cheese and Country Chicken. The truffle fries were very undercooked. The burger tasted like a diner burger. The mac and cheese was very watery and kinda just weird. The chicken sandwich was the best out of them all but still not great. The place was empty and still the waiter took forever. Sat us but didn't bring us menus or silverware or waters. Food was bad and service was very bad. I honestly wouldn't recommend the place. Only a place for drinking.

Maya G.

Yelp
This place was just.. bad. Like shockingly bad. The service was extremely slow. When the food finally came, it was cold and also clearly not what we ordered. My boyfriend and I both ordered the BBQ sandwich (mine with pork, his with chicken). We ended up getting what were two completely different sandwiches. Mine looked somewhat accurate and his did not. Mine also came with slaw which I did not order specifically because it costs $1 extra. The pork in my sandwich was both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. How does that even happen?! The music was also very confusing- they switched multiple times from pop to rap to techno. One of the songs they played was "Smack That" which seemed quite inappropriate for a place with lots of little kids.

Ri M.

Yelp
We finally have a great BBQ spot in the Rock! Great place to eat with friends or just grab a sandwich for lunch. This place has a nice selection on the menu, I haven't tried everything yet..... they're always attentive, place is clean & the food has always been delicious. Good luck to RBQ!

Bill M.

Yelp
It is almost impressive how bad this place is. This screams Bar Rescue. The wait staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. The ambience is all over the place. It is a mix of a Brother Jimmy's & a Dive Bar. They clearly want to have families there but it is not a family atmosphere. The service is slow and our food arrives cold. The food clearly felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp and they forgot it. This place is worth avoiding. If you ever get the chance-- don't.

Joe B.

Yelp
If you enjoy: -Waiting over an hour for your food -Luke warm food -Lack of service -Small portions ...then this is the spot for you Don't waste your time with this place

Thomas D.

Yelp
When entering this new establishment We couldn't help the intoxicating aroma Coming from RBQ. We had a cocktail from the friendly bartender and ordered up the Baby Back Ribs and Pulled Pork Entrees. Amazingly delectable. Excellent service And we're happy to meet the Owner who was Very friendly. We will be coming back for more. Congrats to RBQ!!

Robert J.

Yelp
Terrible with what they had - their chicken taste like some boiled garbage you would find in a chinese soup - nothing was barbequed - fries were good - they were out of brisket and corn bread - (place was not busy how can you be out of menu items) - very disappointing... Lettuce wraps and chicken Taco were all made of the same soggy chicken

Pastor-Charles W.

Yelp
Shannon our waiter was excellent. The feel of being in a place so diverse in presentation and delivery. The food was beyond awesome. No complaint..... I look forward to the summer hours and time!!!!!

Karen H.

Yelp
Pulled pork sandwich needs bbq sauce else it needs a bit more flavor. The pork is moist but the sauce would help. Brisket is great w its fatty bit ends. Bbq sauce they have for the brisket is great. The French fries here are Great! The seasoning is great. On a Friday night this place is loud. It has its charm untiiiiiiil you wait for a table (fine) and then where you are seated you waaaait as long as you waiting for the table to get served. So bring your patience and your humor, kill time singing along the 80s songs playing until you get your turn for your order to be taken. I am perplexed by this place. The priorities here are different.

Kareena C.

Yelp
The food is good . I had a good experience with the takeout ...but when i decided to dine in wasnt to happy with the experience. The female ownee is nice when she came it got better but i think they need better staffing

Chris S.

Yelp
Finally, we thought! BBQ comes to Rockaway, and some life returns to the old Playland location. What we discovered, another bar that serves food. First visit, the service staff seemed uninterested, slow, and aloof. We had to point out open tables when told there was a wait. It was NOT a busy night. After sitting for a few minutes without attention, we left. Come some weeks, we figured maybe they got things in order and returned. Service was better. On the slow side, but better. Food: We had cornbread which our server insisted was enough for 4 people. Perhaps if we were ants. Flavor was lacking, and was just empty filler. Mac and cheese: Can join the cornbread as a dissatisfying filler. Pulled pork sandwich: needed some sauce, was mediocre. Chicken ban mis: The vegetables were not pickled, the chicken was flavorless and dry. The fries were good! Overall, unless things change, I won't return. The amazing smell that radiates from the premise does not reflect the food in any way. Such a bummer! We need options in Rockaway. 2 stars for the potential.

Sophia R.

Yelp
Very comfortable Southern feeling that I really enjoyed. The barbecue is on point and so tender. Definitely coming back.

Brittany H.

Yelp
This place was amazing!! Great beer and the best food I've had in some time! I literally downloaded yelp because I wanted to review this place!!! And the prices are decent also! If you're in the Rockaways I definitely suggest you give it a try!

Stacey N.

Yelp
Well.... I've never been here and my Aunt lives nearby and just wanted to go out for some bbq and tacos. I ordered a margarita and I couldn't even tell you what was delivered to me. Now, if it wasn't advertised on the menu I would've known better to order a cocktail in a dive bar.... That being said, after 15 years of bartending and serving in some of Manhattans finest establishments I know I can be picky. However, this place is just the extreme bad pick!! This margarita was watered down with 2 melted ice cubes. They obviously use sour mix but not even a decent one and don't get me started on the well tequila or watered down tequila! But now it's been over an hour since we ordered shrimp tacos and fried pickles and even though they are only half full they are "just backed up" in the kitchen?? I've worked in the most high volume locations in the city and have never seen anything like this!! Let's jump to the fact that each server/waiter is serving a table of 12 next to me walking out one (literally one) plate at a time!!!!! Just don't bother coming here! I've been sitting here and they obviosuly know the situation but not once has management come by to check on us or offer a drink on the house for waiting over an hour for food but I couldn't get a water refill!!!! And please at half capacity have it together enough to lower the music just a tad!!! Avoid this place at all cost!!!!!!

Katherine R.

Yelp
They're good is amazing and delicious and the pink lemonade is good as well. I strongly recommend visiting this spot.

Bumble B.

Yelp
My husband and I went to RBQ for a late lunch yesterday after spending some time on Rockaway Beach. It was our first time here. We both ordered the same items from their menu - chicken tacos (3) which come with a side of your choice. We both chose the mac 'n cheese. The food arrived to our table promptly. My husband mentioned that the meat didn't look like chicken in the tacos. It turns out that they gave us shrimp tacos by mistake. We explained this to our waitress and she was very apologetic and made sure to get us what we ordered. The chicken tacos were delicious (why I gave them 3-stars vs. 2). The mac n' cheese was just OK IMO. We arrived at the perfect time to see/listen to a live band named the "black rabbits" perform some Beatles tunes. They were really good! It was a nice surprise and the restaurant filled up quickly right after we ate. Everyone seemed to enjoy the music.

Yelp
Okay locals. Tuesday (or midweek) a good time to hit RBQ. Not overcrowded and relaxing. We ordered ribs. 1 BB, 1 spare. Both are tender as to .. not.. fall off the bone for eating with hands or to use a knife & fork if so desired. I ordered classic sauce, but I barely used it. I want to taste the meat. If i want to taste sauce, I'll eat pasta. Sides of cole slaw, perfectly chilled, crisp and mild. FF were well seasoned and cooked right, just not my kind of fries. The mac and cheese got more complicated the further down you ate. Let me know if you notice that too. Beer is $5 and a well drink is $6.

Yelp
I actually read the reviews on this place before visiting. As I read many reviews I noticed that they were mixed. Some good, some great, some bad. And now I see why they were mixed. The place is very cute and rustic. Very packed on a Saturday night with live music. The music was good but extremely loud. The space isn't big enough for that. The waitresses were very nice and helpful. Prompt service even with a packed house. The food was lackluster. While the baby back ribs were very tender, I did not care for the nachos. I think it was the brisket in them. Many fatty pieces. The wings were good with the spicy Q sauce. The rib tips were good if you like them very charred. I did not have any alcohol drinks so I cannot comment on that.
