"Real Food Co. previously occupied the space at 3060 Fillmore Street in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco before closing abruptly in 2016. The location has been vacant since then, and the space has been deemed too large for a single business by real estate developer Alec Paddock." - Caleb Pershan

The meat and fish here are excellent. Very expensive, but excellent. I've purchased some phenomenally good salmon here. The produce is very good, but not as outstanding as the meat is. Be careful on produce pricing. Every now and then I realize only at checkout that I'm being asked to pay an absurdly high price on produce: e.g. $7 for a bunch of asparagus. The checkout people here are fine. I've seen more efficient; I've seen less efficient.

This place has a great variety of natural and organic fruits and veggies. They also have a deli where they will serve up quinoa, soups, and sandwiches to go. There is a meat dept if you want that, and they really offer up a nice selection of vegan foods and deserts. My favorite local grocery store.

Really good quality food with a unique selection. Somewhat expensive though. Most of the products are organic and natural. Be sure to become a member to save and also don't forget to bring your reusable bag!

By far, my favorite SF grocery store. From the extensive deli to the cheese selection to the wine selection to the VEGGIES, I can NOT recommend this place more! Love them!

I'm so lucky to live 2 blocks away from this market. The pre made food is organic and fresh everyday. This place is like my personal chef! I love it!

Nice little grocer. Friendly staff, and a consciously curated (thus "limited") selection as compared to larger shops.

I know SF is pricey, but they should have the word "expensive" in the middle of their logo. I will let you opine as to the reason why they are way over priced....

It is a bit more pricey than your average grocery store, but quite convenient if you live in that area.

Yelp
Classes are pretty sporadic, but if you can find one, it's time well spent. They usually bring in outside talent, albeit chefs, preps, or cats with knife skills. Nothing wrong with learning something new before you get home. Quick lesson and plenty of time to put it to good use later on. I like that Real Food sells meat. You wouldn't expect it, but they handle it well. Best eggs in the city too.

Yelp
I recently took a cooking class at The Real Food Company and was very pleased with it. It was a small hands on class that allowed all of us to participate in the cooking and Chef Harris was clear in her instructions, informative and really helpful. We made a lovely meal using fresh, organic ingredients and then got to eat and enjoy it all together. The class was an hour and a half, which is just the right amount of time, I learned how to make some new recipes, the food was delicious and the price for the class was very reasonable. Overall, it was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
