We read others comment by bloggers on the restaurant that serve Muslim food but seriously we were dissapointed with the service and food. We asked if there is ala carte menu but not available. We ask if we can get the chef to cook different dishes but told by one particular male staff who spoke English that they mostly "grill" their food because their restaurant is "high end". Very arrogant.
Since the comment on the food in blogs was excellent, we wanted to try Taiwanese seafood as its our first trip to Taiwan. We choose the Muslim menu set that came in several price range and settle for NT1,800 per person, exclude 10% service tax. Total bill for 5 pax came at NT9,900.
The set was very "Japanese" as we had shasimi as opening dish. We can taste the freshness of the fish shashimi. We than had the not so fresh grill prawn followed by abalone but think it was overcooked. Than came the scallop but not so fresh and taste so so only. The tempura squid served was oily. The chicken soup served hot but came with the skin that spoilt the taste. The vegetable spinach and prawn fried rice was plain. The desert of fruits and ginko nuts was not what we expect of high end dining standard. For the price we paid, its a miss match.
If you wanted seafood as what you usually ate in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, etc, this place is not for you. This place is for those who can splurged and with excess cash.
