The 38 Best Restaurants in Copenhagen, Denmark | Eater

"Chef Kamilla Seidler Trebbien was a protégé of Noma founder Claus Meyer, and she worked as head chef of Meyer’s social restaurant project Gustu in La Paz, Bolivia, where she earned the Latin America’s Best Female Chef award from the World’s 50 Best organization. Some traces of her time in South America are visible in the flavors and techniques at Lola, Trebbien’s own restaurant, located on a beautiful hill in Christianshavn. Dinner here is best spent filling the table with medium sized dishes like broccoli with mole, followed by a dessert empanada with tangy Danish cheese. Don’t miss the butter naan. At lunch time the menu changes completely, bringing in a large selection of smørrebrød." - Anna Norström

Rebel

"Located in a busy part of the city; a simply decorated restaurant with closely set tables and a buzzy vibe. Choose 4 dishes from the list of small plates or go for the tasting menu; cooking is modern and refined, and relies largely on Danish produce. The atmospheric lower floor is often used for parties." - Michelin Inspector

The food was so delicious and tastet great. Really good service. One of my girl friends is allergic to almost everything. Both the waiter and the chef talked to her and made her meal so delicious Must try when in Copenhagen ❤️

The food was good but too expensive for what it was. You can find similar menus in CPH for 20-30% cheaper. The service was good and staff were friendly. Unfortunately the sparkling water was not sparkling enough, probably the pressure bottle needed changing. Restaurant is okay, but we were placed upstairs next to the speakers which was a bit loud. If the price was lower for the menu I would rate it 4 star.

I loved everything about the place - delicious food with all elements complimenting each other and great wine menu. Butter and brioche buns are AMAZING!!! Staff is friendly, service is very quick.

Google
A great tastning experience. We went for the “rebelsk aften” with the “uncontrollable” wine pairing. The food was really amazing and the wine pairing was good. We thoroughly enjoyed the Phillip prie brut for the appetizers, but were not too keen on the la perle rose. However, what I want to highlight the most is the service provided but the store manager and chefs to accommodate my (impractical) intolerance of garlic and onion. Most dishes as in every restaurant, are based on these ingredients and it is often not possible to accommodate my intolerances. They however ended up doing just that and provided alternatives to all the items containing this on the menu and switching certain dishes or making alternative sauces. They were still flavourful and resulted in a great gastronomical experience. I would definitely visit again.

Menu consists of lots of small dishes. Everything very tasty and lovely to look at. Good service and excellent drinks (vodka - which comes with a bit of caviar, chablis were super). Quite expensive but great food and good music

We had spent there our Valentine’s Day. I would highly recommend this place for three reasons. Firstly because of the amazing starters, secondly because of outstanding dessert and wine made from blackcurrant. Last but not least - high quality service, focus on food and specific information without false friendliness. We really enjoyed that!

Google
Fantastic wine selection, experienced staff with warm personalities, marvelous food and tasteful music at just the right level. My friend and I had a great experience with the “Little Rebel” tasting menu accompanied with wine, and I would definitely recommend eating here for a great gastronomic experience at a very manageable price point.

We’ve tried the small tasting menu which was good, but not exceptional in this price range. I felt there were some really great (tartare, soup) and also some average (oysters, chicken) meals, which made the whole experience mixed. Although the wine pairing was great.

Yelp
The decor is way off. Very cheaply done. Totally random. No attention to detail. The celling is dusty. Horrible paint job. The service is robotic. The service lacks passion. The food is soso. Wouldn't not recommend. Wouldn't come back. So many beautiful restaurants it's Copenhagen, this one is not one of them, sorry! 1600 better spent elsewhere.

Yelp
The food is good, but there are much better places in Copenhagen for those prices, the atmosphere is boring and cold.

Yelp
Their interior is stylish and the wood gives an almost cozy feeling. To me it's slightly too stylish to be a really cozy and nice place to stay very long. The food is suprising and well prepared. We tried the sea platter and the reindeer, both very creative and generally tasty, but also quite special in a sense that you have to like experiments. It tasted good, but as this was the most expensive meal we had in Scandinavia (and this includes living half a year in Oslo!) I would say its not good enough for its price. I was slightly disappointed.

Yelp
My third time in Rebel, it's a good place to have a conversation. Still a good impression , food is good (although portion size could be better even within their concept) and the staff needs to improve further. Especially in their basic wine knowledge.

Yelp
We ate there the other night for dinner. Food was good and it was interesting. I had the ravioli with spinach and a foam cream sauce. The raviolis were tastey. The cream sauce that was foamed was a little lacking. Maybe because they foamed the sauce, it lost that deep cream texture that I appreciate. Next I had the BBQ pork. Nothing special, especially if your from the States. Doesn't even compare to a good BBQ joint back home. Besides the barely 2oz portion of pork was a little embarrassing. My wife had the scallops which were different but good. The potatoes that again were ok. Then she had the lamb. I enjoyed the lamb. It's a really pricey meal for what you get. But the food overall is good and the plates are well presented. This place is more like a 3 1/2 star restaurant. But the expense for what u get made me choose 3 stars instead of 4.

Yelp
Delicious and inventive food. I agree with Thorben though, too stylish to be cozy so not sure I would want to linger here for hours, which is a shame given the food and drinks are so good. Would go back nonetheless as I'm all about the food!

Yelp
Excellent service and fantastic food to affordable price. Good wine matching a as well. Definitely a place to come back to.
