The food is good. The waitress spilled 3 beers on my friend. Total accident, but if she was holding the tray properly, it wouldn't have happened. My friend was soaked the whole time we ate.

I had their 5 dollar burger, i had a great walk with my wife a long the beach and stopped by Rebel Republic to hit the spot with their burger. Great atmosphere, awesome location. People are great!

The food is really really good here!!! They have a decent sized menu with something for every kind of craving. Everything that we tried was very good, especially the mac and cheese and the meatballs!!! ❤❤❤ I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Visiting Rodono Beach from the East coast... I can truly say this was a fun eating dig with plenty of spunk and personality. Drinks were on point, I had a sour whiskey and a mijito. Little disappointed they couldn’t make my caipirinha, but they made it up with a pretty good mojicón. Food was good, we got tacos and nachos. Location is what makes this place pretty fun. Outdoor seating with heaters and plenty of people watching. I loved this area as there are many little restaurants and bars. Definitely will be returning here if I venture back to these neck of the woods.

The food is great quality for being a bar & grill. The atmosphere is fun and the staff was friendly. Parking in the area can be difficult, but that's not a fault if the restaurant, as all the spots in this location will have to deal with that. Overall, of definitely recommend it.

If you are looking for corned beef and cabbage on Saint Patties Day then Rebel Republic is the place for you! This is my first time eating best and I am not disappointed. My wife ordered the corned beef and it was very tasty. I had the short ribs, they were nicely cooked and seasoned and a generous portion. The only down side was the noise, super loud but it was st. Patties day after all. Good food, good service and a nice selection of beer!

Came down on Memorial Day Weekend to get some takeout and it was so worth the drive! The house burger was fresh and hit the absolute spot. My wife got the spicy chicken sandwich and wouldn’t stop talking about how good it was. Two-thumbs up on the fries as well. To top it all off, they’re offering 24oz draft beers to-go for $5! I got an Angel City IPA myself. Well done Rebel Republic!

The Wednesday happy hour here is a must. $5 burgers and beers. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fun. Great place for a burger with the family or drinks with friends. The food was great and so were the painkiller drinks.

I very recently started coming here regularly with a friend, and we have been having so much fun! Rob is such an awesome bartender, and we always hope to sit at the bar if he is working back there! We so appreciate the heaters since it's been so cold at night, and the vibe is always great. I've come for both brunch and dinner and absolutely love the burrata fava salad and the poached egg toasty. Can't wait to be back for the next burger night and see Rob again! We are really enjoying our new weekly ritual at our favorite spot.

I went to rebel for a $5 burger for the first time on Wednesday. Had an amazing time! The manager Amelia was attentive and was going around making sure everyone was having a great time. This burger is so good! I'm definitely recommending it to friends and family. Such a great vibe. Staff seem happy to be there even with this killer deal.

Robert the bartender was so mean I don't think he is happy in general and he doesn't like his job:( He is so rude Zero customer's service.

Chris the manager is awesome- helpful, nice, friendly, easy going. Overall good manager. RR has great burgers, good prices, good hometown community feels. I like the indoor/outdoor area and good quality food. Tall bald bartender is subpar.

Rebel Republic is one of my favorites in Riviera village , have been there many times & always received great service .tried different dishes & always enjoyed it all . Great tap beer choices & outside seating

So... I haven't been to this place a lot post-pandemic. In fact, I think this is my first time back at Rebel in 2023. I wish I could say the service was the same; it is not. I'm giving 3 stars because as per usual, the $5 Little Rebel Wednesdays along with happy hour (4-7) is STILL the best deal in the South Bay. You can't even get a burger from a fast food place for less than that. But idk, the service just isn't as amazing as it used to be. Maybe different management? Maybe lack of staff? ...Will I be back? Possibly. I just hope it goes back to the 5 star service I remember.

Rebel Republics Social House is absolutely wonderful. Have been going to this restaurant/bar since they opened and have never been disappointed. The beer they have is top notch, so is their food and service. Sometimes you do have to wait a while to get seated, but it is definitely worth the wait. Great views of Catalina Street as you practically are able to sit in the street! Wednesday is a must stop at Rebel. They offer one of the best burger deals you can find. You get a burger and fries on Wednesday for only $5. What a deal! Not to mention, the burger is always fantastic. For $5 you get a double cheese and double meat burger w/grilled onions, a handful of fries, and a pickle. You can't go wrong! They have a great assortment of beers to choose from on draught and canned. They also have some great cocktails! If you are around Redondo Beach, it is a must stop. You will not be disappointed!

Typical bar to hang out with friends. News and sports on TV. Awesome people! Was able to enjoy happy hour. Didn't get any food, which is ok.

After staring at a computer screen all morning for work I needed a boost. Well, I decided to browse YELP to help me with my decision-making again to find a great place to eat. I made my way down to Riviera Village to try this place out. I went around lunchtime. Parking was a challenge but was able to park a few businesses down from the rebel republic. When I arrived it was only one worker that was helping everyone. That's expected when it was less busy for lunch. But immediately she took my order and didn't miss a beat the entire time. The manager always walked around and she was attentive. Customer service was amazing. Plenty of TVs to watch games as well. Lots of seating inside and outside with patio heaters. I've would have taken a seat outside but it was windy and chilly plus the LA weather can't be trusted lately. Okay, now for the food which I know thats why you all are reading this review, not for a weather report. The pork cheek tacos are EPIC!!! It has red onion salsa, smashed avocado, and delicious queso fresco. The workers might get tired of seeing my face in the future. Because I will be coming back for these tacos frequently. The crazy wings were good but wish they were a bit crispy. But the chile sauce on the wings was amazing. The French fries were a little pricey but worth it. If you want to try a good salad get the BEETS WITH GREENS. You will enjoy it!! I highly recommend this place if you're in the Riviera Village area.

The ambiance, food, and service was great. We were there for Sunday Brunch. Adrian who was our server is amazing. He was friendly and prompt with everything we ordered.

Came here on a Wednesday just to see what the $5 rebel burger was really worth it. It was! We had a morning walk on the beach and stopped over for lunch around noon. It wasn't crowded but when we left, it started to get a crowd. Our server, Michael was attentive. We didn't order any drinks but we saw that happy hour was from 4-7 M-F. So that means I'm coming back next Wednesday to take advantage of $5 burger AND happy hour drinks!! Ambiance of this place was very beach vibes too. I say come check it out and see for yourself.

Exec summary: Sort of an upscale Hennessys (which it borders) Brunch on weekends is awesome 1- bevie The French 75 is a delightful concoction that I first heard of from Anthony bourdain. It's a great accompaniment with breakfast 2- food Great eggs Benedict and some lovely sides of potatoes The wife really liked the potatoes. 3- service Ok. Not great not bad Pro tip: if you can't get a table with an umbrella , head inside and sit at the window looking out. You won't melt in the sun but you still get the great people and car watching that is Riviera on weekends And the monkey dessert ... epic!

Service was good. Ambiance is nice as it's right by the beach. Came for brunch and got the spicy fried chicken sandwich which wasn't really spicy. The chicken batter was falling everywhere and didn't seem like one piece of chicken. The chicken was also so thin-- felt like a chicken crisp. The coleslaw was bitter and threw the flavor of the burger off as well. Would skip the sandwich. But the French fries are great and the pickle was too.

Let's be clear, this is the second or third time I've been here, and I've wanted to keep trying? Hoping it would be a fit but always has been a miss. This last time, we sat at a table that wasn't cleared off. It was irritating that I had to wave, and ask more than once. Waters came, food came. Food was good but because service was mediocre. Our server would go to the table behind us and chat. Then to the table in front of us. I felt like he was all around but not attentive to us. Mind you, we sat down before the two tables surrounding us. Ambiance is .. pretty. It's in the village, so could anyone knock the views? No. But the service would completely deter me.

Good food! We've been for brunch, lunch & dinner - service is good, it's good for the doggos & every one from 10 to 76 could find a dish they enjoy. Outside eating area is nice & the ambiance inside is great for evenings.

This place was so underwhelming for us. I tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Short Rib Au Jus Sandwich, and the Pork Tacos. My fave was the chicken sandwich because it was the only dish that had some flavor. I'm not sure I would try this restaurant again as there are several restaurants in this area.

The drinks are great here and so is the food. The food and drinks are on the pricier side but that comes with the area. The outside seating is beautiful and comfortable. A nice place to grab drinks and the servers are always kind. This time I got the fries and they were amazing!

While walking around the beach during sunset, we decided to try Rebel Republic Social House for their happy hour food and drinks. This place always seem to be busy and loud with the crowds in the evening, especially on a hot summer night. Given the expectation that this is just your typical HH spot, I wasn't expecting high quality food nor service. 4 stars for the customer service: we got a super nice and attentive waiter who came to check on us at least 2 times during our meal. When we told him about the cold fries, he actually brought out a full-size hot fries for us to enjoy on a chilly November night. 3 stars for the food: as I just mentioned about our cold fries... it was disappointing (initially). We also got pulled pork/carnitas nachos (full size, not HH size) to share. It was great but it felt like it was missing some key ingredients like salsa ... and more warm cheesy. The plate was hot but the food turned cold super fast. Overall, I would say 3.5 stars ... great place to chill in Riviera Village but don't expect high-quality food at an average HH spot.

Goes without saying that you know what you're walking into here. But I gotta say the fried chicken sandwich was so offensively bad. I implore you, visit this establishment to tie one on, sip in the sun, what have you, but eat elsewhere. They don't deserve your dollars.

The service was friendly and attentive. They have a $5 burger deal on Wednesday's that comes with fries, I tihnk normally priced around $15 which is a great deal. The burger on Wed can't be "cooked to order" due to the promotion and size of the burger patties, but I was told the bigger burgers could be done made to order (I desire Medium Rate burgers, pink and moist, a bit fleshy and juicy). So, with that being said, the burger itself was good for what it is and the price. The french fries however are fresh cut and amazingly delicious. The fries were crispy yet fluffy on the inside, it was pretty much PERFECT. There was a dish called Shrimp Won Ton's and you get like 5 prawns for about $14, I'd not recommend that dish, it was odd tasting and not really good at all, not something I'd recommend nor order again. There's enough on the menu that makes this a solid spot to come back to 'tho. The Mac & Cheese was NOT that Kraft Boxed cheap style, it's gourmet. Fair warning, our kids ate it and it was too fancy for them. The bread crumbs were a tad gritty for them and the four cheese was too complex for them and their basic needs. I feel this dish is finer dining styled Mac and Cheese. Parking was easy on a weekday mid-day if you're willing to walk, it's also free in the adjacent residential neighborhood.

Sat at the bar. Ordered a gin and tonic. The bar back was doing some cleaning made my drink without even washing his hands. And the gin and tonic was possibly the worst tasting drink ever. They charged me $14 for the drink.

Good vibes, friendly service, tasty food and indulgent desserts. Nice place for a social meetup indeed.

First time here. Location is great, sat outside on the patio with dog. Poached egg with salmon was good. Servers are very friendly. I ended up moving our plates to an empty table because we were tired sitting in front of them after an hour. Felt like a cocktail and ordered the monthly Cupid's arrow - see pic of what was advertised and what I received below. Tasted terrible like only Prosecco with lemon juice. I expected more based on the add and $16 price. Edit: I posted this as I was about to pay and leave. The waitress noticed I didn't drink the cocktail- so I told her why. She was so kind to take it off the bill. Thank you! I appreciate when the restaurant tries to make things right!

Great pub In the Redondo Riviera. Our family loves the Wednesday burger special--talk about a deal! Their aioli is mouthwatering; it's not only delicious on burgers, but great for dipping Rebel Republic's salt flaked fries in. Service is warm and friendly--even when they're busy with patrons. Of course the location is great, just steps away from charming boutiques, and only a short stroll to the beach. See you again soon, Rebel Republic Social House!

Came here during happy hour on Monday. Decent food, friendly service and good ambience. One of the good bars in the area.

Great Wednesday burger deal. Quite loud when packed due to how the restaurant is constructed (music, concrete wall and floors). Worth it for 1$15 meal and drink.

Great food, service and location. Our first time here and enjoyed the salmon and the short rib entrees. We sat at the bar and we were served in a relative amount of time for a Saturday dinner. Drinks were moderately priced, food prices are reasonable for quality, taste and choices. The large open windows and decor makes the restaurant inviting. If you like the patio, it's on the front side of the building with heaters and a bar top.

My first time here and I absolutely loved it. Your management was fabulous. Chris I think is his name was the manager when I came in and he made my experience phenomenal. I can't wait to come back.

Went here on Dec 26th and have to say the Hollywood Rivera this place is located was popping for lunch. Parking not bad in the public lot that was free for the holidays. Was greeted right away and got an inside table no problem. Service was great , then realized the bartender , she was also waiting tables. She was the BEST , busy but super friendly and fast on any request. Five people with us this time , 3 got the chicken pesto sandwich which I honestly think could eat everyday !!! One a burger that looked so fresh , another the nachos that they loved. The atmosphere of this place with open front style is just great. Great people , great location and the bomb food. Must give it a try !!! Heck let's give this visit our 5+ rating !!! Thanks

Went to Rebel for their Wednesday Little Rebel burgers. Asked for a 4 seat table, wait was normal about 25min. Waitress asked if I had a preference, outside or inside. I said inside or outside it we can sit next to heater. Waited 30min, waitress sat us outside as far away from any heater as possible. I asked her what about the heaters like I asked? She said that'll be another 25min. We just moved to a the bar instead. Waited for another waitress, 15min. New waitress tells us that they're all out of just the rebel burgers, at 8:30 (supposed to have the deal till 9). No one said anything the whole time we waited there 45min. Opted to go to a better establishment.

Not really a great experience. We're Village residents who went here for a change. Entitled and slow waiting staff, average food selection, dry and unwelcoming atmosphere. Disappointed with the deceptive tipping policy where tips percentages are calculated on full-price menu pricing, even when the bill has promotional discounts. We live in the Village, but won't be going back to the Rebel. We will stick to HT Grille or Hennessay for casual drinks in future. Much better all around.

Really nice restaurant, the nachos were amazing. Service was excellent. It's a nice restaurant if you're interested in having a good time with friends.

This place is so fun. Whether it's alone, reading a book and having wine, or with friend shooting drinks! Reliable service and friendly. Food is casual and delicious. Drinks are always on point and served fast regardless of how many people are there! Best spot in riviera

Service was slow, and even after asking my waiter multiple times for a glass of water, I never got one. Ended up having to ask another one who brought one out a few minutes later. Both staff members were nice though. The short rib sandwich was alright. Felt like I was eating a bread sandwich due to the lack of short rib given, so was not worth the price of $17 at all. Their ketchup was definitely homemade as it tasted like pure vinegar. Gross. At the end of our meal, our waiter said he was going on break, and another one was going to assist us. This has never happened to me before...very strange. Atmosphere was nice, but wish I sat outside as it was pretty busy indoors.

Great location, chill ambiance, friendly staff and everything was good. I went midday and the bartender handled the bar, indoor and outdoor patrons while engaging with everyone and getting the orders out timely. Definitely recommend!

Music is quite loud for an early evening cocktail. It's for a younger crowd if say that doesn't mind that. The cocktails were okay but not strong enough. Bartender was not the vibe. She doesn't like her job. It's a 5 minute walk from the beach so how can you not like your job? Didn't love how she touched everything with her hands. Didn't see her wash her hands once the whole time.

The bartender was very rude with a very aggressive behavior, We ask her for the bill, Just after that a very nice bass boy asked us if we needed anything, we responded that we asked for the bill, She came back and throw the bill to us and said ask me don't ask him he is nothing here and can't do nothing for you, my God I try to complain to them manager as she didn't care and she was making a hand gesture, asking us to go bye, go bye repeatedly, I think the manager is her friend and supporte her bad behavior may be they cover each other, My wife and I were very upset and would never go back there and as a local business owner I will tell everyone how rude they are.

Came here to eat Brunch. Nice place we were hungry and did not want to wait to long so we sat at the Bar. Lady at the bar asked for any drinks we asked for plain water apparently she was not very happy that we ordered water instead of Liquor. (Picture posted) After taking our order she went missing and did not bring our food. We waited 20 minutes asked another Bartender for our food and she checked on it , my Eggs Benedict were hard, had to wait another 7 minutes while they recooked them. Once they arrived they were very good extra Hagaindahise Sauce was delicious, Food overall was good service was bad.. Do not sit at the Bar the Bartender doesn't like it if you don't order drinks.

Came here on a Sunday and while the food/drinks were good, service was pretty bad. Our party was sat by the host, and waited for 10-15 minutes in the outdoor area for someone to greet us. We flagged down a busser and asked for waters and see where our server was. He brought the waters, and we sat another 10 minutes with no server. Went up to the host and asked for a server. Finally, a table next to us that had been sat after us was greeted and had their order taken. We flagged down THAT server and was finally able to order. Unfortunately, when we had first been sat, we were given the lunch/dinner menus, which didn't start for a few hours. When given the brunch menus, they were dirty (pictured). Server seemed a little inattentive, but all food came out good. Chilaquiles were tasty. Overall, front of house staff could use a lesson in attentiveness and customer service.

Great food and wonderful bar staff! Highly recommend for salads and good recommendations for new bourbons to try!

Rebel is always a good place if you're looking for a good drink, yummy food, and a nice atmosphere. The staff is always very accommodating and quick. Definitely a good place to go in the redondo area if you're with friends and want good food and drinks.

Rebel house is great for a quick beer or cocktail. The food to me is kind of meh. I don't mind stopping by if I have a friend who likes the place but I don't think I'd ever pick it as a place I'd want to go have dinner at. While their servers are very friendly and helpful, they all seem to be in a rush and sometimes don't check in very often. I feel as though there's just a lot going on and a lot of tables to look after so sometimes I feel bad even stopping them to ask for help. I've not ever had to wait to get seated there. There's lots of seating indoors, outdoors, by the bar and by a window. I do like that about this restaurant and that the food does come out quick!

I've always enjoyed any of the eateries that are associated with the Hennessey's Tavern Corporate Locations. All of the food choices are tempting and plentiful. The staff has been well trained and know how to treat Customers...to keep them coming back. Rarely have I seen any of the establishments empty.
