This is a Minnesota Bucket List event. I’m not really sure why? It’s a restaurant that serves pizza and it’s open on Wednesday evenings. Huh? Don’t get me wrong, I had a good time and the atmosphere and service here was excellent, but I have a restaurant a mile away from the house that has pizza that destroys Red Barn Farms pizza. I didn’t really need to drive 45 minutes away to go get okay pizza. You’ve gotta do this restaurant at least once so that you can say that you’ve done it and to have your own opinion, but once is all they’re gonna get out of me. Enjoy…

Other than the understandable wait for our pizza, the whole experience was lovely. And the pizza was great! Drinks too.

Red Barn Farm is definitely worth going to for a fun experience! Their pizza is excellent and it’s fun to have a picnic in the grass or at one of their picnic tables if you can snatch one. There are a couple of drawbacks though. The line just to order your pizza can take 10-30 minutes depending on when you arrive (I’d recommend coming earlier rather than later) and then you have to wait for them to cook your pizza - no worries though it comes out nice and fresh! The pizzas are also a bit pricey at $27-$30 for a 16” pizza. Alcoholic drinks start at $10, but you can also bring your own drinks and snacks which is a plus. A very unique experience, my friends and I had lots of fun!

We make our annual family trek down Red Barn Farm for a pizza picnic and time together. Always a good time! 🍕

This place would only be considered good because of the atmosphere itself, nothing wrong with service but it wasn’t exceptional… it’s not like anyone comes to check on you or like any other restaurant type service… food was 2/5… really nothing special and very plain pizzas, also crust was very burnt… honestly punch Neapolitan pizza is much better for a wood-fired/ brick oven pizza and is a quarter of the price. Another thing, after paying $60 for 2 pizzas you have to take your own garbage??? Never heard of service like that but…. Anyways the only thing that was great was the atmosphere but I won’t be spending my money there again.

I love this place and have been coming for many years, that’s why it pains me to write this review. Tonight was a horrible experience, I was so excited I came back from NYC for their cauliflower crust pizza. We arrived for a 7:30 slot waited about an hour to order the pizza because the line was so long, but I was not discouraged because I was willing to wait for their great food. After waiting an hour for our order everyone still waiting was informed that they had run out of the cauliflower crust and they would be replacing it with a rice flour crust which they would refund you $10 (Their pizzas run about $25-$27 for their cauliflower crust) this is where the problems began The new crust was about the size of a tortilla so when I questioned why we would only get half I was immediately met with attitude. She told me they thought they had an enough but missed counted and were sorry. I understand things happen especially with a small business that is run on paper slips, BUT it is not on your customer that you messed up the count. I told her I wanted all my money back not just half. She gave me $20 and then when the other part of my order came out I asked where my GF pizza was. Her response was I gave you your money back so it was canceled. I waited 2 hours for my food from the time arrived and had I known that it was out I would have left. at this point it should be comped and I should still get it. I told them I still should get my food and she said fine but it would take about 3 mins to make. I waited got my food, and still was treated with attitude when given my food. Bottom line is I still love their food, but the way tonight was handle was unacceptable and I just hope they understand that if they run out of something after it’s been order, your customers should get their money back and their food.

I just came here last night with my family and we had such a great time! I went here in 2021 and it was even better the second time around. We made an online reservation ahead of time and it was pretty busy when we arrived. 30 minute wait time for the pizza but it was SO worth it!! Their crust is so good. Also – shoutout to the girl who took our order. We made customizations and special requests and there was no problem. Super cute horses and chickens on site. They have some picnic tables but most people bring their own blankets/chairs. This is my new favorite summer spot! Tip: bring cash or a check (there is an ATM on site) and your own drinks/utensils!

Google
The farm was extremely picturesque, and we enjoyed sitting on the lawn chairs we brought enjoying the panoramic views watching the horses and chickens and listening to the live music. The pizza was delicious. We had a simple cheese and a pepperoni with the kids and everyone enjoyed the fired crust, ample cheese and sauce. After pizza we had ice cream bars and soda in a glass bottle and then enjoyed some lawn games on their beautiful lawn by the vineyard. We loved our time at the farm and are already planning another visit.

Yelp
This place takes cash OR check only! Be advised. You are allowed to bring in your own drinks if you'd like, including alcohol. You can also bring in sides, plates, napkins, and chairs. There is ice cream available for purchase. Upon arrival, this place was packed. No wonder why you need to make reservations! Our pizza was done cooking within 5 minutes of us ordering it. We picked it up, & it was hot & fresh.

Yelp
For a fun family experience on a farm on a warm summer afternoon, this is a great option. Our kids had a great time running around, and I enjoyed the country tranquility. From a food perspective, the pizza was pretty terrible. I have no idea what the hype is all about. It is average at best. I am not being a pizza snob, either. It just isn't that good. To drive all the way out there after getting a tough-to-secure reservation, to bring all your plates, cups, chairs, blankets, etc. only to be served up mediocre pizza is strange to me. Go for the fun family experience, but keep your expectations low on the pizza.

Yelp
Red Barn Farm is a Minnesota summer classic. My friends and I try to come here at least once every summer from the cities and it's always one of my favorite evenings of the summer. This year our group of 7 ordered 3 pizzas and it was perfect for us - we got the Hannah, the Sour Pig, and a Cheese pizza - all delicious - and then we brought our own salad, fruit and drinks. The reservation system this year helped the pizza to come out super fast, and their grassy spaces seemed even more green and lush - perfect for picnicking, laughing with friends, and enjoying the beautiful scenery around the farm. Reservations open on Friday for the following Wednesday, so be sure to plan ahead! Note that it is cash only and you need to bring your own trash bag and plates etc! Worth it in my opinion and honestly it's nice to just eat at our own pace and everyone can bring their own drinks and sides.

Yelp
So now you have to have a reservation for order to go cause of the ingredients. I totally understand that. Well now I make a reservation and then order to go and they said come in during your reservation and then we will make your pizza. So I have to wait by myself like a weirdo now. I would understand again but the company starts a go fund page after the tornado and gets insurance money and go fund me money and where the did the extra go? Scammer northfield people again.

Yelp
Recently went to a wedding at this venue. Very pretty views and grounds. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Looks like I'll have to come back and try the pizza too!

Yelp
I somehow went to school in Northfield for 4 years and only came here in the last week of my senior year! I went with a big group of my friends and ordered four of their pizzas. Not only was the pizza amazing, but the ~vibes~ were immaculate. It was so nice to be out in the community and gather safely during the pandemic. A probtip: stop by Keepsake Cidery and grab a couple bottles before you head here! My only comment is that I wish they took card, but I suppose having to track down cash in this day and age lends to the small town charm of the place.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The pizza is great and so is the farm. You do have to bring your own drinks and you do need to pack out your garbage so be prepared with a trash bag.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of the whole pizza farm thing and have been to a few now over the past year. The one here in Northfield compares favorably if not my favorite. They are open every Wednesday between the middle of May and the middle of October and the third Sunday of every month there in. Their website advises that if you are coming on a Wednesday (we were) then you should arrive prior to 5:30 to avoid a long wait. Of course, we rolled in right at 5:30 but the wait was only about thirty minutes once we ordered. You pretty much cart in everything you need (which in our case was beverages, soccer chairs, and a big towel to put the pizza box on). They offer eight dinner pizzas and a dessert pizza. We ordered The Hannah (red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, green and black olives, and feta cheese). It was tasty, but I would have liked maybe one or two more items on it to flesh it out a little bit. My biggest pet peeve with the brick oven pizzas is that sometimes they come out a little charred. That is fine and dandy to an extent, but sometimes it can cross the line into burnt and this particular one was borderline. My wife likes that kind of thing but my palate is apparently such that I'm sensitive to the burnt taste and it can overpower the quality ingredients on top. its the one thing that kept it from being great and merely good and at $25 a pie it had better knock my socks off. Its a farm so there are horses and chickens and the residual byproducts of their existence (if you get my meaning). The areas that are set up for people to sit and enjoy themselves are really nice. Lots of greenspace to sit and enjoy and wait for your pizza. Of course, there are lots of families present and when you put kids in that environment of food and farm animals they tend to run wild and this place was no exception. Where their parents were I do not know. Overall, a pleasant time. A little less char on the pizza and it would have been an awesome time.

Yelp
This is my third pizza farm and the atmosphere of this location did not disappoint. A beautiful red barn surrounded by hills and valleys and the farm animals close enough to get a look-see! Tons of parking here but be prepared as some of the areas were quite overgrown. We found an area a little more manageable. Knowing by their website it can be a wait, and the fact that we were there just after 5 and there was already a good-sized crowd, I left my husband in my dust while I headed up the hill to get in line. We were #122 and were told a 30-minute wait and they were right on with the timing. In the meantime we camped out in our chairs with our drinks and paper plates watching the swarms of kids run all over the property. From where we were in the grass I could see the lovely deck on the back of the barn. Our pizza was "The Hannah"- sausage and pepperoni with black/green olives with feta cheese. I'm sure it's hard to control in those pizza ovens, but about half of ours was burnt black on the bottom and crust..That and the crazy weather temp dropped and started to rain so we did not stick around. They do host weddings here and their site says they open the barn during inclement weather

Yelp
So I think I saw a post from cities 97 talking about this place and remembered my ex-husband mentioning he had been once before and thought it would be a fun thing to do with my partner my kids my kids dad and his wife and her kids (it's a mouthful lol). We decided to go on a Sunday and my partner and I arrived at about 11 and began to walk around and assess where was best to grab a table to eat. We ultimately decided on inside a building as it was a little chilly with some stronger gusts of wind. We were able to get our order in and got two pizzas; Cheese which was actually probably the best cheese pizza I've ever had. It's a mix of different cheeses that all lended their varying flavors to what ended up being amazing. And then we got the Twister which had sausage, jalapeños, tomatoes and basil. My ex and his wife got pepperoni and the Twister. It's a bit pricy but it's a fun experience. You bring your plates, utensils, and beverages (beer and wine allowed), you order your pizza which you can sit and watch them throw in the giant outdoor pizza oven, they call your number and then you can feast! You can look at all their animals and walk around and see where they host weddings/receptions. It's a truly beautiful little set up and I won't deny it may now be on our list of possible venues. The staff were all nice and after reading some about the place and the family that runs it, realized the girl who took the order was the daughter, the woman boxing up the pizzas was the mom, and I'm pretty sure the guy cooking is the dad, (I don't know if we saw the son) I read about how a tornado destroyed their property last year and how they had to rebuild, and they seem to be thriving! It's a short distance outside of Downtown Northfield which we also highly recommend stopping to walk around in. It's very downtown Stillwater/Hudson-esque and had some super neat/unique pubs and eateries as well as shops and an awesome gaming store. You can walk along the river and watch the locals fishing. We went for pizza and ended up having an entire day long adventure! I would absolutely go back again, the pizza was amazing and the experience was far beyond what I expected especially if you include Downtown Northfield as a part of your trip out there.

Yelp
The Red Barn Farm pizza nights are such a fun experience just a little trek outside of the Twin Cities! I've come twice to the Wednesday pizza nights held over the summer months and I am always shocked at how many people are there eating, hanging out and enjoying being on the farm. The farm has a specialty pizza each week along with a number of pizzas they always make. They are delicious and made fresh to order. You may have to wait a bit but it's well worth it. You have to bring in all your utensils, plates, sides, drinks, etc. and bring everything out with you as well but it's part of the experience. A lot of people go all out with wine, beer, salads and desserts. There are a few picnic tables but I would suggest bringing a blanket or folding chairs.

Yelp
This place is great for a family get together.there is plenty of space to play games and eat pizza as long as you bring your own chairs and games. The pizza is by far the best pizza that I have ever had.

Yelp
Pizza picnic on a farm?? Count me in. This place is such a unique experience, and can make for a really nice evening with friends. We went there not knowing what to expect, and found that it was filled with 200+ people chilling around the lawn. The property is very beautiful, with lots of space to spread out, beautiful views, animals roaming around, and well-kept gardens & outbuildings. Bring your own blankets or chairs to sit on, plates, napkins, and utensils. They sell a few drinks (Jarritos and water, mainly), but I recommend bringing your own. There are some picnic tables, and I think that during bad weather they open up the titular red barn. The pizza is delicious and homemade using ingredients from their garden. We had the margherita, two meat, and dessert pizza, all of which were awesome. Especially the margherita - the fresh, local basil and tomatoes from their garden made it heavenly. Probably the worst thing about this place is the extremely long wait times - we stood in line for around 45 minutes and then waited an hour and 15 minutes for our pizza to finally be done. This is not the place to go for a quick dinner. But if you want to just relax in the country and hang out with friends, it's a lot of fun. You may be able to avoid the long wait by coming earlier, around 4:30-5, or later, around 8. Pizzas are $25, which can add up fast, but we still were able to feed four people with $60 so it's no worse than most other restaurants, albeit not cheap. Bring cash (or I think checks are acceptable too) because they do not take cards. This place is very family friendly, and there were tons of kids running around (more kids than adults, I think). There are rules against touching/feeding the animals, trampling the gardens, or picking fruit/veggies from the garden. So please don't be that annoying person who breaks said rules or allows your children to break them. :)

Tina J.

Yelp
Relaxed, low-key, delicious pizza. Outdoor space allows kids to run around and play while waiting for pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
This a cool place but beware you can be hanging out for a couple hours before you get your pizza. You're sitting in the grass so it can start to get pretty uncomfortable while you wait. After doing this a few times we've lost interest in coming back. Pizza is ok but at $25 bucks a pizza there are a lot of options out there that you don't have to wait 2 hours for.

Yelp
Excellent pie in a unique and family friendly location, sure to be a memorable stop over summer! I am a pizza aficionado, a connoisseur. I have tried every pizza place I've ever heard mentioned in Minnesota. Traveled to Italy and Chicago basically to eat pizza. Red Barn Farm is slinging the real deal. This isn't Pizza Hut or even Red's Savoy. This is legitimate crust created with care the right way. The closest pie comparable in the TC is easily Element Pizza in NE MSP. Just the right amount of chewy, airy, bubbly crust to support a reasonable amount of cheese and toppings. The pizza cornicione(lip) has those magnificently charred bubbles that can't wait to be eaten. The undercarriage is worth of a picture by itself it is so beautifully speckled with black spots. The toppings were all delicious and even the standard pepperoni was just the right amount of crisp to salty. I'd highly recommend the addition of feta cheese, but I almost always am a fan of that combo. If you have never been to a Pizza Farm, keep in mind this is a BYO - Bring Your Own environment, including chairs, plates, wine, apps, etc. Cash/Check only. They do have nice bathrooms, a fire pit, and some water/pop available for purchase. I have one single complaint about the Red Barn Farm. Most people interested in a "farm to table" experience such as this would be interested in knowing which ingredients actually come from the farm, and I could find no such information. If the menu had an asterisk next to fresh farm ingredients, I would absolutely love that. I would also be interested in a little bit of the farm history shared maybe on a wall plaque or similar. When someone spends the time to schlep it out to the farm fields to get a fresh pie, I am pretty sure they also would be interested in a bit more understanding of the product. Overall, the Pizza here is completely legit - and that is saying a lot coming from me! The family atmosphere, horses, chickens, garden, and setting are all wonderful bonus's.

Yelp
My daughter was the one who first introduced me to the pizza farm concept. I mentioned it to a few of my girlfriends and we decided on the Red Barn Farm. It was less than an hour away and open during the week. Better yet, no reservations were required. When we arrived at the parking lot at Red Barn Farm, we were greeted by Pat, the owner. It only seemed appropriate that he was dressed in a white chef hat. How personal is that! We came prepared with plastic silverware, plates and of course our own beverages. There are a few outdoor tables available but it's best to bring along a blanket as seating space is limited. Red Barn Farm opens for dinner at 5 pm. When we arrived the wait time for pizza was only 10 minutes but expect to wait longer during peak season. Pat informed us that during the summer they can make up to 240 pizzas a night. All the pizzas are $25 and you can add any one of their fresh ingredients for no additional cost. The pizzas not only looked but WERE amazing. Rumor has it they may soon be growing their own grapes for wine and brewing their own beer. That will soon make the trip to Northfield even more satisfying!

Yelp
I just don't get it. Wait in line for an hour and a half, wait a further hour and a half for an admittedly nice pizza (I saw some really burnt ones given out and one of ours was too), but definitely not the best you can get in town and not worth the $25 price tag. Completely inefficient operation. The brick ovens are tiny and cook just two pizzas at a time. I cannot fathom why this place is so popular. Do yourself a favor, go to Basils, get a takeout then sit by the river, you'll save yourself a good couple of hours. The farm setting is nice, but infrastructure just not good enough for how many suckers keep turning up.

Yelp
You have to provide everything but the pizza which makes it an outing you're committing to but it's worth it. The atmosphere is very friendly and quaint. Parking is on the grass and ample. There were a couple horses feeling the love of some curious kids. It was about a half hour-hour wait for pizza so order right away and then set up your space. Also go to the bathroom before you get here, they have legit ones but they had a line all night, also they have portapoties but yuck lol. The pizza was sooo good. Especially the crust-I had a friend who said her pizza wasn't very flavorful but she got a garlic olive oil type sauce which was the special and I think the red sauce is where it is at. Also a friend got the gluten free pizza which they offer and it was ok but the crust was more dense and reminded me of pita bread or flatbread. If you don't have to go that way I'd stick with the regular crust but if you're gluten intolerant you're probably used to it and the flavors are still there. They also have a general store with glass bottle soda, baked goods, some misc merch, popcorn, snow cones, and delicious fresh salsa. Cash or check only for pizza or general store. Had a great time with the family and if you don't mind bringing your own seating and napkins and such it's a really nice place.

Yelp
I'm writing this review a couple months after going to Red Barn. It was amazing pizza with an amazing atmosphere! I suggest bringing a blanket and a couple beverages and enjoying the outdoors! The people there were very nice as well! I can't wait to go back after winter!

Yelp
Red Barn Farm is a fun Sunday activity - if you can time it right. Sign up for their Facebook page or email blast so you know when they are doing Pizza. The pizza is delicious. Just please note that it is about a 40 minute wait for pizza on average, it is BYOB, and you have to pack out (they do not have waste disposal on site). Bring chairs to sit on as there are very few. The pizzas are fairly expensive at $25 a pop. But that didn't seem to deter people. While you wait for your pizza, you can stroll the garden, pet the horses, see the chickens, hang out on the lawn. They could probably use some acoustic tunes, but judging by the crowd they won't need to add that anytime soon.

Yelp
Stopped by the Red Barn Farm last Wednesday since I had heard such good things and I have a friend getting married there in October. Upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised to see the place was packed! My group ordered 2 pizzas (~20 minute wait, not bad), and continued to the general store to sample homemade salsas and marinara before finding a place to spread out on the lawn. The pizzas were done within the 20 minutes and everyone in our group enjoyed them. I especially recommend the vegetarian pizza with the roasted garlic. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pizzas are expensive - $25 each. I appreciate local ingredients, but that price point keeps me from making Red Barn my go to pizza place. Also, make sure to bring everything with you (plates, beverages, sides, etc...) and take everything back with you (garbage included). Overall, I am looking forward to going back again this fall.

Hospitality, sublime views, farm animals, and fantastic pizza. Bring lawn chairs, a salad to toss, and a nice red. Prepare for a magical evening.

Yelp
Had never been to a pizza farm, but wanting to go for years. Pizza is my favorite food, and I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. Despite rushing out the door, my wife and I arrived 2 minutes after the last order is taken for the night. They politely still took our order. In fact, politeness is a theme of the owners here, which I hear is hard to come by on the "soup nazi" style pizza farms of the MN/WI region. Sadly for us, we didn't realize that CNN wrote a national article on this place the week before, and the weather was great, so it was packed. How packed, as the last pizza of the night, I was #465. My wife and I waited an hour and 50 minutes (got pizza at 10:20 pm). The owner mentioned that despite ordering an extra pizza oven to meet demand, he is no longer doing media requests because he hates knowing that his customers have to wait 2 hours. It was never his intention for the charm to be ruined by long waits. That being said, just come prepared with lots of snacks and beverages and the wait won't bother you. On to the pizza. My wife and I both ordered the gluten free (a steal at $10 a pie!!) which is a homemade crust recipe. This is by far the best GF crust I've ever had. Trust me, I love punch pizza, but they need to start sourcing their GF crusts from the pizza farm. My olives were the best I'd had. Perhaps the food tasted even better as we were starving and eating the dark, allowing our sense of taste do all the discovering. Would I wait 2 hours for a mediocre pizza? NO! For this pizza, absolutely. The pleasant owners are a welcomed surprise as well. Just be prepared to be around 400 other people who had the same idea as you.

Yelp
Obviously, this pizza farm experience can depend on hitting good weather. Luckily, we made it down on a really nice October day that made it into the 50s and sunny. It was comfortable to bring a blanket and book and hang out on the vast lawn to wait for our delicous pizza. Many young families do make this an outing so just watch out for stray balls of all type that may fly or roll your way. Oh and the pizza. It reminded me of a Punch Pizza's crust. Just toasted enough and still soft and chewey. We ordered a large vegetarian pizza. The fresh veggies took the flavor up a notch. Being that we were in marathon training, we probably could've each eaten a large but a large pizza is perfect for two.

Yelp
You have to haul away your own pizza box and paper plates y'all. It's in the country you'd think they could burn cardboard pizza boxes in a burning barrel? Plus paper plates and paper napkins

Yelp
The Red Barn Farm is a welcome new addition to a town that struggles with serving up good food. The farm is only open for food on Wednesday evenings from 4.30-8.30. Pizzas made in their brick oven cost $20 and are very large. They have some suggested combos based on what is in season, but you are also welcome to create your own. Bring your own drinks or take pizzas to go. Dining is picnic style. Most people bring a blanket to sit on, I saw a few people who had folding tables and chairs. If it rains you can set up shop in the hay barn. When we were there there were kids running all around discovering the farm while the adults hang around the blankets, very casual. Sometimes they have music. I love the laid back nature of this place. And the pizza, most importantly, was phenomenal!

Yelp
Pizza on a farm with horses, chickens and tons of people! The Red Barn is a pizza farm that I am down with. My beau and I came here yesterday and we left a little early from work in order to make the drive down there in a decent time. When we got there, it wasn't too packed, but you could tell that the people that were there absolutely loved this place. I can see why. If you have never been to a pizza farm, you need to go. Keep in mind that you need to bring your own utensils, a blanket or chairs, plates, cups, and booze, etc. They do have some sodas for purchase, but in case they run out, bring your own. There is something quaint about picnicking on a farm with tons of oxygen and nature around you to make you feel rejuvenated. The farm is only open May- October, Wednesdays from 4:30-8:30 pm. No reservations needed and you can just walk up, order and wait for your number to be up on the board. Pizzas cost $25 and come in a large. We ordered a GF two-meat pizza that was very, very tasty and brought folding chairs and used our bag as a make-shift table. The wait is about 10-20 minutes, and you can shop in their general store for eggs, salsa, and other things while you wait. This place is great for family gatherings, group date nights, and just a nice getaway from the city. The pizza very good and I recommend purchasing 2 so you can take some home for later.

Yelp
Red Barn Farm (just called "the pizza farm" locally) is really a treasure! The pizza itself is the best in town -- no contest. All summer and into the early farm, they're open Wednesday nights and one Sunday a month. It's such a wonderful spot. Kids love visiting with the horses and chickens, and playing in the open grassy spaces. The barn is sometimes open if you'd like to sit indoors at a table. Last time we were there, a few months ago, pizzas were $25 each (cash only) and only came in one size. Kind of expensive for pizza, but it really is good pizza and we think of the high price as a kind of admission fee for our family to come and enjoy the beautiful farm and landscape at Red Barn Farm. Remember to bring your own picnic blanket, drinks, glasses, dishes, and utensils. It is okay to bring other food for your picnic.

Yelp
Am I the only person left disenchanted with the actual reality of this place!? Is it rustic and undeniably adorable? YES! Is it free to attend with your dearest loved ones and friends? YES! Are you guaranteed to see fluffy/squeezable/lovable barn animals causing kodak worthy pictures with you and/or your children (if applicable)? YES! Is the ACTUAL food any good? Not really, it's honestly "ok" at best with bland flavor profiles and beyond acceptable burnt edges. Is the wait time beyond any acceptable means you'd allow at a "typical" dining experience? Yes, we waited 2 1/2 hours for our last pizza to show after ordering during what I'd call peak timing (6-8). Overall would I go again? Probably but I would not eat and/or pay for the pizza again and would plan to just attend as part of a day outing, definitely not as a dinner destination.

Yelp
You want farm to table? Here ya go! Red Barn is a unique experience and I think it would be fun for a date, family with/without kids, or a group. I went with a crew from work. It's relaxing, the pizza is tasty & it's nice to get out in the country a bit. I don't see cows & chickens nearly enough. For pizza, I thought the margarita was missing something but the meat pizzas we had were so delicious! We brought some munchies, wine, plates/utensils/napkins & chairs. Other groups were picnic-ing it up on blankets--that works too. We forgot one thing: bug spray. This experience won't be for everyone but if it sounds intriguing, put it on your summer bucket list!

Yelp
We adore RBF pizza and make Wednesdays our weekly pizza night during the summer. Often, we'll try to be the first ones in line, in order to beat the dinner hour crush. The pizza is terrific -- great crust, fresh ingredients -- and the environment can't be topped when the weather is good. We love this pizza so much, though, that we'll get it to go when the weather is less than good!

Yelp
Attended a wedding here and it was beautiful!! I can't wait to try a pizza night. It's quite a drive from where I am located, but we had pizza for the wedding reception and I was sold! Beautiful setting as well!

Yelp
I ordered pizza from Red Farm and it was delivered on tie from Bite Squad. The pizza was dried, hard and without much taste. I have had pizza at the restaurant and it was above average. The pizza last night was not worth $19 plus delivery plus tip.

Yelp
I highly recommend this spot as a day trip from Minneapolis. Pizza was amazing, but wish they sold beverages or snacks while you wait the 45 mins for the pizza. Don't forget to bring your own plates, apps, etc. and bring home your trash!

Yelp
On a crisp and beautiful October evening, we stopped by and ordered a Fall Pizza and the Two-Meat Pizza. Our two small children (both under 5) had no problem with the wait as they checked out the farm and played with other kids as dusk became dark. Each of our pizzas was packed with divine flavor. The fall pizza was the star for me - pieces of scrumptious squash, tender and sweet onions, spinach, tomatoes, and cheese atop a perfectly fired crust with olive oil. It was simply marvelous. My only regret is that I didn't listen to the rave recommendations sooner. We will be counting the days until pizza nights return!

Yelp
Really cool place. Pizza is good but pricey. Great place to take a family or have a date night. Bring some chairs, some drinks and relax. A lot of fun.

Yelp
I wanted to write a more up to date red barn pizza farm review. The pizza is very good and enjoyable so don't worry about that. Whats difficult is the long wait, we arrived around 6:20-6:30. Ran down and waited in line until 6:45 and put our order in. Honestly the pizza wasn't ready until 9:15pm. So it was a two and a half hour wait. So if you are going and can't get there before 6:30 please be warned. Otherwise everything about this place is top notch!

Yelp
This is a must try for anyone that's making a trip to Northfield! It's simply phenomenal. What not to love? There's a beautiful setting, animals for the kids to visit, pizza made from fresh from the garden ingredients. The pizza is on the expensive side but well worth it.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, not too far to drive, Pizza was excellent but at $25 apiece, it's a touch on the high-side. Still, for what you're getting, I think it was worth it. Cash/check only, BYOBeverages, chairs, blankets, appetizers, etc. (They do have chips & salsa--we had the habanero which was quite good.)

Yelp
Whats there not to like here. Local farm good pizza great property that they allow us onto. This is a farm that is in the pizza business and they know how to draw a crowd. Come early or be prepared for a bit of a wait but it is not a big deal as it is a laid back picnic style.

Yelp
Food was outstanding. Limited pizza menu, but the pies they did make were great. The atmosphere was outstanding. One of the coolest places I've ever eaten. Beautiful farm, really nice community vibe out there. Highest recommendation.

Yelp
Well the food was ok, but the wait was too long. When we got here there were 200 pizzas ahead of us and a 2.5 hour wait. The atmosphere was nice. Meh food.

Yelp
Loved loved loved it. The pizza is fantastic and staff friendly. A very relaxing and kid friendly environment. BYOB and I recommend cooler or small portable table to keep pizza off ground away from ants. Can't wait to go back in the fall.

Yelp
Atmosphere & pizza were ok, but not worth the wait. I also question how clean the facilities are with farm animals fairly close to the cooking area and muddy racoon footprints on some of the tables. Kids that touch the farm animals and don't wash their hands also a concern. It also perplexes me why this business cannot act like a business and provide even Spartan amenities (plates, silverware, garbage) of a restaurant in the name of food safety. My upset stomach today could be a virus, but I have my suspicions. I think I'll go to the local pizza parlor instead.
