Best New Restaurants in Queens, July 2025: According to Eater Editors | Eater NY

"The new owners of the long-time Dosa Delights have opened an elegant Indian restaurant with wine service in Jackson Heights — really, a sign of the times (or a sign of gentrification) here in Queens. The menu is solid with coconut fish Chettinad, saucy chicken Angara kebab, and plenty of lobster and shrimp dishes." - Caroline Shin

This is a great addition to JH. The decor is cute, nice ambiance created perfect atmosphere for our anniversary. The food was very tasty, paneer pakora was divine. Tandoori mushrooms were so well seasoned. Lobster masala was delish but a little chewy. Mango walnut salad didn’t have avocado in it and raita to my taste was a little spicy. Drinks were good. Our waiter Rana was attentive and knowledgeable. Overall we had a fantastic dining experience, and will definitely be returning soon to try other dishes!

My family and I visited Red Chilli in Jackson Heights last Sunday for a late lunch/early dinner, and we had an amazing experience! The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredible—modern, cozy, and vibrant—and the food and drinks were beautifully presented. The service was excellent, with our waiter going above and beyond to ensure we were happy. He was attentive, checked in regularly, and even encouraged us to share honest feedback about the food, which we really appreciated. For appetizers, we had the samosa chaat and gobi Manchurian. My family loved the samosa chaat, though I personally found it a tad too sweet for my taste. However, the gobi Manchurian was a standout—it was so delicious! As someone who’s usually a picky eater and not a big fan of vegetables, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. For the main courses, we ordered naan and butter chicken, which was good but leaned a bit on the sweeter side; the chicken parda biryani, which was flavorful and tasty; and the chicken malai kebab, which was tender and cooked well. The drinks, though, stole the show for us. The mojitos were fantastic—our favorites were the strawberry mojito and especially the guava mojito, which was so refreshing and light. Overall, Red Chilli was a great dining experience. While the food could use a little fine-tuning to balance some flavors, the amazing service, stunning ambiance, and delicious drinks made it worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back for those mojitos and to try more of their menu!

Love this new upscale Indian restaurant in the neighborhood! The food was incredibly delicious & came out in a timely manner. I went for Iftar for my family and I would defend recommend reservations as it got packed QUICKLY. There’s a ton of options for every type of eater, vegetarian, pescatarian, meat lovers, etc. Great variety and good quality food. We got the gobi manchurian, shrimp biryani, fish molly, and the red chili mixed grill, and a side of garlic naan. Everything was great. The space is also beautiful, love to see how they styled it. Will definitely come back and try different things!

I can’t recommend this place enough!!! This is such a great addition to the Jackson heights neighborhood & a true gem! The interiors is absolutely breathtaking and giving upscale vibes. Who needs to go to Manhattan now that we have places like this in queens? The food is phenomenal and the staff are so friendly and accompanying. You truly feel like royalty. My husband and I tried the butter chicken, lobster tandoori, lamb shank, dum goat biryani & loved them all! They perfectly pair with the chili chill guava drink or rupee Indian beer! This place is perfect for date nights, celebrations, private events and so much more! Such a great spot!

Everything was amazing, from the gorgeous interior, to the wonderful staff (thank you Rana), to the delicious food! I highly recommend coming here if you love Indian food. We loved everything we ate but want to highlight the aloo tiki chaat, the tandoori lamb chops, the palak paneer, the garlic naan, the lamb korma, the mixed grill and the onion bhajia. Desserts were very nice keser dessert if u like less sweet and gulab jamun if u like sweet sweets.

We recently dined at Red Chilli and had mixed feelings about the experience. While the restaurant itself is very clean, quiet, and has a lovely ambiance, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The taste was average – we’d rate it around 5 out of 10 – and the portion sizes were surprisingly small considering how expensive the menu was. Unfortunately, the pricing doesn’t match the quality or quantity of the food. It’s a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a peaceful meal, but we were hoping for better value and taste overall.

Google
I’m stunned by the poor quality of food given their reviews and premium positioning as a restaurant! The chicken 65 we ordered had a handful of excessively dry and not even chewable pieces and almost 40-50% of what came was other veggies generally used in chilly chicken. The menu said it comes with hot sauce but we weren’t paying for a bunch of dry chicken pieces and a Chinese sauce! I live in Manhattan and was told food in Queens is great. My first time here and I’m so terribly disappointed!! There’s so many cheaper options in the locality this is in but I came here hoping for quality food and ingredients which this clearly wasn’t! Photos are of what we just ended up not eating! So you can see how little chicken and how much more of everything else it had.

For modern day indian cuisine this place really hits the spot from appetizers all the way to desserts. If you come by make sure to check out the chilli chicken and chicken milai kebabs then finish off with their milai kulfi. Be sure to tell the staff about your spice level preference and they will not disappoint. Overall enjoyed the experience with the family and plan to come back with friends.

Yelp
A great new spot in Jackson Heights! The restaurant is clean, stylish, and welcoming -- and the staff, especially AJ, is friendly and knowledgeable. Tip: Make a reservation for Friday dinner. The menu has excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Don't miss the Dahi Puri -- crispy, tangy, little clouds. The steamed chicken dumplings are another great starter. For mains, the Lamb Parda Biryani is a showstopper, served in a dough-sealed pot and meticulously sliced open at the table. The goat curry, lamb shank, and the Red Chilli special chicken Angara kabab are all flavorful highlights. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I visited this restaurant recently with a group of friends, and unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. While the restaurant itself is beautiful the dishes we tried were disappointing. I ordered the Red Chili Chicken Special but it was extremely sour with an overpowering amount of lemon that ruined the overall flavor completely a 1/5 dish. We also ordered the Shrimp Malai Curry, which was very bland compared to other places I've tried in Jackson Heights. 2/5 The Butter Chicken, which I usually get at any Indian or Bangladeshi restaurant to see how they do basic dishes was also not good. It lacked flavor and did not taste authentic. The naan was great, probably the best part of the meal but the drinks were not. I ordered a virgin pina colada, and they added strawberry Rooh Afza to it, which completely changed the drink and at that point became a strawberry drink. Our bill came to $104, and it really felt like we were paying more for the aesthetics than for the food. To be fully honest this restaurant is for gentrifiers and honestly anyone who isn't south Asian. Anyone who eats authentic brown food at home or anywhere else in Jackson heights would try this food and understand. Although many restaurants in Jackson heights don't have the aesthetics I can guarantee the food is tastier and higher quality. If you're looking for good quality Bengali or Indian food, I wouldn't recommend this place solely based on what we ordered. Maybe there are better dishes on the menu, and if you're open to trying different things, you might find something you like. But for me, it just wasn't worth it at all. Sorry for the lengthy review !

Yelp
This place is great! I'm a big chicken person and every chicken dish is cooked perfectly with tons of flavor! The chili chicken special dish is spicy but so good with a little smoke effect when delivered to the table. Naan is great, rice is plentiful and the service is good with nice servers. Why they didn't get 5-stars: No full liquor license, so only beer and wine. I like prosecco but it only comes by the bottle, so I can't just have one or two glasses.

Yelp
I got a spicy chicken skewer my friend got a couple different things. I also got this cucumber something that tasted A LOT like tzadziki everything was AMAZING

Yelp
4/5 Virgin strawberry daiquiri $7 - really good - slightly sweet & sour with hints of pineapple, tastes like a mix between nerds & jolly ranchers 4/5 Tandoori lobster- $26: 4/5 lobster tail - sweet, really good 2/5 lemon/lime rice- didn't realize it'd come with lemon/lime rice, too sour for me & I love sour stuff

Yelp
Had to try the new place from the owners of Dosa Delight (go there as well if you've never been). Grabbed a reservation for a Saturday night and had an excellent meal here! My boyfriend and I shared: + Samosa chaat + Gobi Manchurian + Butter chicken + Garlic naan + Goat biryani The butter chicken was the #1 highlight, followed by the biryani. Samosa chaat and naan were also excellent. Only miss was the cauliflower, which had good flavor but I like it crispier. Service was great. We also had so many leftovers!!

Yelp
If you're craving bold flavors and mouthwatering Indian food, Red Chilli Indian Restaurant in Jackson Heights is where it's at. This upscale, chic spot is perfect for date night--save this for your next night out! We had great service while dining here and our server gave us the run down on the menu so we knew all the best items to order. I got to try a variety of dishes and everything was packed with flavor, and hit all of my Indian cravings. Some of my faves included: Drinks * Lychee martini mocktail * Tamarind margarita mocktail Starters * Chilli garlic fried shrimp * Paneer pakora * Mango walnut salad Mains * Kebab mixed platter * Lamb curry * Butter chicken * Goat biryani Dessert * Gulab jamun * Rabdi falooda From appetizers to dessert, every bite was a hit. I highly recommend checking this spot out!

Yelp
In a part of town where it's hard to find bad Indian food, Red Chili stands out. Really great Indian food in a slightly non-traditional atmosphere (very modern with ambient music in the background) The service was great as well.

Yelp
Stopped by for a light lunch yesterday with my girlfriend. She ordered a chai drink and we shared a couple of dishes. Samosa chaat: excellent combination of flavors and textures, a totally different experience from samosas by themselves. Special chicken angara kabab: so good! Tasty and tender boneless chicken in a chilli sauce that was surprisingly not too spicy. Even though we only shared two dishes, it was plenty of food for us to feel satisfied and not overly full. The prices at this restaurant are quite fair. The service was attentive, I appreciate getting my water refilled without having to ask. The ambiance is upscale and classy, just a refined and elegant setting. This would be a nice place to take the family on a special occasion, and has the potential to be a bold date spot, too. I'm so glad I finally got to visit and I can't wait to return to sample more of this delicious Indian food.

Yelp
Wow! What a pleasant experience. We were craving some Indian and chanced upon Red Chilli. It was beautifully decorated and felt regal. But the real star was the food! First up, drinks. We ordered a Mango Tango and Chili Chilled Guava. The mango tango was sweet and refreshing, the rose flavored syrup was a nice touch. The guava was amazing. Refreshing, herby, and flavorful, it was everything I wanted. A must get drink. For appetizers we went all out! Pani puri was delicious. We filled each shell with their sauce and chomped down. Crunchy, tasty, and amazing. We also got the chicken 65. It was bite sized goodness. Perfectly cooked chicken, texture and feel was reminiscent of Chinese take out general tsos chicken but this is definitely much better. The Gobi Manchurian, is cauliflower covered in a flavorful saucy batter! It was chefs kiss. Loaded with flavor, the spices and batter infused in each bite made it so amazing. For our entrees, we ordered the butter chicken, which comes with rice and goat prada biryani. We also got a side of garlic naan. The butter chicken was delicious! Rich and creamy, this dish is a must get. Do yourself a flavor and get a naan with it. Each bite of chicken was a soft marinated delicious bite. I found myself cleaning the side of the bowl with ripped up pieces of naan. The goat biryani was so fun to open up! The goat and spices made the rice a savory meal. Each bite was a hard hit of flavor. The goat was tender and delicious! No gaminess at all. For dessert we got the Rabdi Falooda. It's so picture perfect. It's a beautiful dish. The rose is very hard, be careful when cutting to eat. It's sweet and rose flavored. Theres vermicelli on the bottom of it and the dish is surrounded by chia seed. The rose syrup really brings the dessert to life. The vermicelli threw me off. Combined with the chia seeds, the texture really confused me. I wasn't a big fan of the taste when eaten with the vermicelli and seeds. The rose itself is amazing! Overall the food and drinks were great! The staff were friendly and helpful, they offered great advice on dishes. Really worth the value. We had enough leftovers for lunch. I want to come back to try more!

Yelp
Got the chicken chili to go. It's quite good! The owner seems really lovely and attentive and I'll be back.

Yelp
This seems to be the new hip spot on a Saturday night amongst the Bengali-speaking crowd in Jackson Heights. It's "posh" in that special, unique posh way that only venues in Queens have really been able to master. Many selfies were being taken over the course of the evening, with a general wannabe Dubai TikTok influencer aesthetic. The owners are the same as at Dosa Delight, which hails from the days when Jackson Heights was actually an Indian enclave, and the menu leans Indian. I opted for the achaari soya chaap tikka, which has historically been harder to find on menus in the U.S. but seems to be having a moment. The chaap was very tender and well-seasoned. We also enjoyed the gobhi manchurian and samosa chaat as appetizers - overall quite a solid option for North Indian fare in the area.

Yelp
This is my new favorite place. It is a nice restaurant with a classy feel. I did have to wait a few minutes before being seated but because staff was taking with patrons. I ordered a mango laddies and it was nice. The food was delicious. Chicken Tikka masala was creamy and comforting. The chicken had the right chew to it. The lamb briyani was flavorful and tasty. The lamb in it was overcooked making it chewy and when I told them they tried to change it but I insisted it was fine. The flavors were on point. The staff is polite and friendly and they value feedback. Looking forward to returning. Mera's Tip: chicken Tikka

Yelp
When my friend told me about this brand-new spot, I was so hyped to try it. Red Chilli did not disappoint. Between the incredible food, flawless service, and an ambiance that whispers, "You're fancy now," this place is an instant favorite. The service was impeccable. The staff struck that rare balance of being attentive without hovering. My water glass never dipped below half, and the food arrived so promptly, I was almost suspicious they were reading my mind. If Red Chilli ran the DMV, the world would be a better place. * Gobi Manchurian ($10.99) Tangy, spicy, and crispy in all the right ways, this was an excellent opener. It's the kind of dish that makes you wonder why cauliflower doesn't get more love. A solid 4/5, only because I now know what greatness tastes like (see pic below). * Paneer Tikka Masala ($16.99) This dish didn't just steal the show -- it became the show. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and unapologetically rich, it was love at first bite. If I could give it 6/5, I would. Medium spice was the perfect choice, but honestly, this dish could carry any level of heat and still shine. 5/5. Garlic Naan ($9.98/2): I don't use the term "perfect" lightly, but this naan earned it. Soft, buttery, and heavy on the garlic, it's the type of bread that doesn't just complement a meal -- it defines it. If you don't order this, we can't be friends. 5/5. Overall, I'll give this spot a 5. Note: They add a 20% service charge for parties of four or more.

Yelp
Hands down the most beautiful ambiance for an Indian restaurant in Queens. The service is immaculate and decor is fresh and beautiful. The food was really tasty, everything came out super flavorful and fresh. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Just came in during mother's day! Staff was kind enough to get us seated even though we didn't have a reservation. (Thank god!) Only took around 5 minutes. When you walk in, you're greeted by a nice man making drinks. They had a lovely drinks selection and it was a surprising treat. I wasn't expecting many drinks, mainly went for the food. My brother and I tried the (virgin) piña colada and I got the mango tango. Both were delicious! The mango drink had more of a syrupy taste, but it's okay. Still yum. The food was on a whole other level. Soft, perfectly seasoned chicken. Sauces that complimented the protein perfectly. All the entrees come with Jasmine rice. I just wish the main dishes came with it too! The rice was perfectly fluffy and isn't sticky at all. The dining room is rather small, but it's a sophisticated design. They dimmed the lighting halfway through and it made the ambience much better, in my opinion. Very fancy and picture worthy! Would love to go again!

Yelp
2.5 Stars but rounding it up to 3 Stars since the white ppl in my group loved the food. lol But honestly, this is white people's Indian food, Y'all! Red Chilli is more of a "New Indian" or "Modern Indian" restaurant. Don't expect the traditional, authentic Indian food you'd get at Angel Restaurant. (If you've never been to Angel, it's a must try!). Wow I have so much to say. I've been eating Indian food since I was a kid. We love authentic spicy and flavorful Indian food. We were sooooo excited for our first visit to Red Chilli, a relatively new high-end Indian restaurant in the heart of Little India. 74th St/Jackson Heights is renowned for authentic Indian food. We thought this lovely restaurant would be perfect for our Valentine's Day dinner. On a positive note: - staff were very friendly; albeit clueless - fresh ingredients were used - the restaurant was decorated very nicely for Valentine's Day - their dinnerware & glassware were beautiful - nice atmosphere; nice dining room Disappointments: - The Food!!! Omg, the food was so bland & boring. Yes, the ingredients were fresh, but each dish was lacking in both spiciness and bold flavors. So boring! The dishes were also lacking in proteins. They were swimming in sauce but there was minimal protein in each dish. (See my photos of the lovely sauces! Smh) I know the cost of groceries are outrageous these days, but for the prices that Red Chilli charges, we expected more protein; not just sauce. Considering that the dining room was 85% Indian people, our food seemed dummied down (Americanized). When the manager stopped by to ask us how everything was, I told him our disappointment at the bland food, and his response was simply "oh, we make all our dishes mild or medium" ....then he just walked away! Well, the food was definitely not medium spicy and it was beyond mild. More like no spiciness at all. -- Service & Hospitality: The wait staff (albeit very nice & friendly), used no common sense when serving our group of 11ppl. We were 3 groups; each group consisted of 3-4 ppl, sharing the dishes family style. Yet when we asked for serving spoons, they asked us if we wanted "a big spoon or little spoon"...what?!?! lol We said Big Spoons...then they brought us one big spoon. We had to specifically ask them for a Big serving spoon for each of our dishes. When the dishes came out, they gave the same exact dish to one group (not one dish per group). They brought out all the dishes but no rice. We all just sat there for a while, looking at the sauces. What are we supposed to eat the dishes with?! I had to ask twice before the rice was brought out. When the Naan was served, they put all 3 orders in one basket for 11 ppl to share (not 3 separate orders/3 baskets). When we asked for containers for our leftovers, they brought one container for one group and no containers for the other two groups. I mean, I could go on and on. Just clueless. It really felt like the Twilight Zone. But at least they were nice! We still managed to have a good time, and didn't let the boring bland food ruin our Valentine's Day. I do thank Red Chilli for taking our reservation for a large group on this holiday evening. The white ppl loved it!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I dined here the day before Valentine's Day for an early celebration dinner! The decor and vibes were very cute and festive throughout the space and at each table! The staff was friendly and helpful when sharing recommendations. They continuously refilled our waters throughout the meal which was helpful especially when we were enjoying the more spicy food! We got several different apps. Our favorite was the Lasuni Gobi which reminded me so much of like a sweet + spicy korean fried chicken flavor (except it was fried cauliflower). I never had anything like that before at Indian restaurants, so this is something I will definitely order again! The mango walnut salad was very refreshing and had some yummy fruits. For the entrees, we got the Goat Biryani, butter chicken, and Tandoori lamb chops. I admit I have an American palate, so I loooove butter chicken. It was perfect to eat with garlic naan. The Biryani was a GREAT pick; the staff cuts open the bread atop the Biryani, letting out all the steam and revealing packed rice with tender goat meat inside as well. Wish we could have had room for dessert but literally my partner and I were WAY too full! We had so much leftovers to take home too. With the price point and big, delicious portions of food, it was a meal worth the visit to Jackson Heights area.

Yelp
Food and service is excellent!!! The ambiance gives you the vibe of being in India. My daughter doesn't eat Indian food but this place she loves!!! The spices are done to perfection.

Yelp
We decided to have our staff dinner here and it was the best decision we made. Arun is an owner who works harder than most and his son is there as his right hand. Anuj was our host and he was on point. Perfect. The food will make us all go back again. Fourteen happy people in one night. Only good wishes for this place.

Yelp
4.5 stars NYC isn't known for good Indian restaurants and I've been to some in the city and usually end up pretty disappointed..I've dined at a few in Jackson heights to get the most authentic I could find.. When this opened up and I read great reviews, obviously I was intrigued. We dined here for dinner after having a really busy day and we were hungry for our first meal. The menu is pretty extensive and you'll find your typical favorites plus new creative ones. It caters to a younger, mixed crowd since the atmosphere is quite modern. It is definitely one of the better, newer designed restaurants especially in the area... We started with some mocktails and I normally would never get one but I'm trying to abstain from alcohol and wow I must say the drinks are delicious. We had the mango lassi bliss and the guava one, both so good. The guava drink tasted similar to a caipirinha, I might prefer this one since it didn't taste like it had syrup. It was just really fresh and delicious which is how I would also describe the food. The waiters are pretty nice and welcoming. I ordered more typical dishes, so not too creative but it was just get an idea of what we've had before to compare. Butter chicken, palak paneer, malai kofta, shrimp biryani. Everything made mild to medium, but can definitely try spicy next time. Comes with basmati rice. The raita paired really well with everything, I could've easily drank it. The Palak paneer was delicious, the cheese was not salty..so creamy. Seriously all the dishes were so good. I could definitely be a vegetarian if I was eating here all the time. The Malai Kofta is one of my favorite dishes. I order it whenever I see it. The ingredients are so fresh. I can clearly taste the nuts in the dish. Also great that the food didn't taste ....too salty, it was seasoned perfectly. L loved the butter chicken and everything else as well. The curries are so good with basmati rice. I would've ordered a lot more but I was controlling myself that day. We took our leftovers home and can eat for days but will certainly return and try more items! So much to order.. * I went back already.. came for a late lunch. The staff again, so nice. We tried the chicken vindaloo, tandoori lobster, dal makhani and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. Loved everything. Chicken vindaloo was made medium for us. Just a touch spicy .. prob could've tried it spicy. Maybe next time. The tandoori lobster was surprisingly juicy and very flavorful. We shared one but maybe next time we'll get two. Dal was good but def prefer the other two dishes. I'm usually not too into naan but Red Chilli's naan is so light and fresh. The garlic smells so good but it's not overwhelming. One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to for sure.

Yelp
Every detail in this establishment is fine-tuned to meet the overall aesthetic. The decor, place settings, and furniture come together to create a beautiful ambience in the heart of Jackson heights. I don't think there is another restaurant in the neighborhood that can match the warmth and class that this restaurant invites you in with. The service was fast and the staff were extremely accommodating and warm. I broke a vase by mistake, RIGHT before leaving. Not one of my proudest moments, and hence I may never return to try the savory chicken tikka. But I would recommend this spot to literally ANYONE wanting to try delicious Indian cuisine.

Yelp
Red Chilli is an incredible add to our neighborhood for date nights! It is beautifully decorated inside, with a chic bistro vibe. Most notably, the service is top notch, and the ambience is nothing short of warm, welcoming, and intimate (hence perfect for date nights and small gatherings). The food is also pleasingly presented and delicious, with generous portions that we had to pack some of it home! And last but absolutely not least, their drinks... DO NOT miss out on ordering their many thoughtfully crafted, and refreshing mocktails. We ordered the mango tango and chili guava, and as the bartender said himself, they taste better than they look and they looked incredible! Please check this new JH local business out and show them some love, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Yelp
Saw this place on tik tok and immediately had to come. When we walked in, we were blown away! The decor was absolutely stunning with the plush red velvet seating and beautiful light fixtures. It felt like a high-end dining restaurant with affordable prices. My friends and I ordered the butter chicken, lamb korma, and tandoori shrimp. Both the butter chicken and lamb korma were out of this world. The sauce was creamy and flavorful and could be eaten without protein at all. My friend was able to eat the sauce with just rice and it was so addicting. Tandoori shrimp was good too, but it doesn't come with any carbs and was a little bit salty, but flavorful. My friend also ordered a drink, but it fell short a bit. The falooda dessert was presented beautifully with a kulfi shaped rose in the center. We weren't a huge fan, but definitely can see how people would like this. The service was excellent, they were very accommodating to our different spice levels. Overall, the food was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
My favourite Indian Restaurant. We forgot to take Our fav appetizer pani puri and dessert. They also based our spice tolerance to our mild taste. Definitely a go to Indian in Jackson Heights.

Yelp
LOVED EVERY SECOND!! The food was so clean and flavorful. Not greasy, but still tender. The service was very attentive without making us feel like we need to leave. Beautiful decor and would def recommend for a date night or outing with friends! Overall 100/10. We were even able to meet the owners and they were so warm and loving! The couple truly cares about the customer experience. May God bless them on this grand opening!

Yelp
We have done both take out and dine in. Food and service is impeccable either way. The staff is kind, professional, and personable. We especially appreciate the gorgeous decor and unique stemware. We had pani puri, goat curry, chicken tikka masala, baingan bharta, goby manchurian, and naan. All were outstanding!

Yelp
I felt a little awkward dropping in for a weekend lunch since it was empty and fancy, but I'm glad I did! I want overly hungry and didn't want to carry leftovers around, so I just got a bowl of soup and some naan. It was perfect! The Mulligatawny soup was lovely: savory, sour, complex, and served piping hot. The naan was also fresh out of the oven, pillowy, and delicious, with tinted coconut inside. I was also grateful for the complementary papad opener, since I wanted it but wasn't willing to pay $10 for the appetizer portion. Prices are generally reasonable, with some items (appetizers and chaat) on the high side for the area. You're paying a bit for the environment. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes, though, and feel like I'll easily be able to get two meals from one entree. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, but not hovering.

Yelp
So happy to have a new and excellent Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Their menu is extensive and all centered on northern Indian cuisine. We got delivery and everything was delicious -- the chicken tikka masala, the saag paneer, nan bread and butterfly shrimp. The curries were rich and flavorful without being too oily or heavy. The chicken was moist and the spinach was tasty and had that amazing deep green color. From the photos the interior of the restaurant looks beautiful -- can't wait to dine in next time and try more of the menu options.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner at Red Chili in NYC. The ambience was warm and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Anuj and Rana took great care of us and explained everything so well. We loved the spicy frozen guava mocktail and Rupee beer with the flavorful food. The gobi manchurian was crispy, and the mango walnut salad was fresh. The butter chicken masala, lamb chops, and dum goat biryani were all full of rich, bold flavors. The tandoori platter had a great mix of kebabs and shrimp. We finished with dal halwa and rose falooda kulfi--both were delicious. Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Wonderful Jackson Heights new Indian restaurant right around the corner from my place. My girlfriend and I came here for lunch and were treated like queens. We shared a yummy mango walnut salad and vegetable curry and were given delicious mango tango drinks on the house. We both loved the decor of the restaurant and the beautiful white with gold trimmed plates. Our young waiter also was very sweet and pleasant. Definitely will return again.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in, you're struck by the gorgeous decorations and amazing atmosphere. However, the service and food don't live up to the same standard. Waiters seemed very overworked and had to rush everything. They also were not familiar with their own menu. The food was mediocre. Tasted like the meat was covered in spices and sauce but lacked real flavor. Disappointed by the service and quality of food.

Yelp
Went there on a Sunday around 2pm , we waited a whole 30 to 40 minutes in our table , we asked to order and they kept saying to wait a minute , we had to leave . Really poor service , people after us got food and drinks before

We were def not dressed for the restaurant but the waiter made us feel welcome and he was just great very nice and well spoken. The food was great a classic butter chicken with Nan great you can't go wrong. THE DUMPLINGS WERE FIREEEEE SO SOFT AND JUICY IN THE INSIDE. Yelp
Excellent Indian food served in an upscale dining room. Beautifully decorated interior. Waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious - perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Definitely the most high-end Indian place in the neighborhood. Prices on the higher side but justified by the quality and ambiance.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our food here. They have a delicious extensive tandoori menu, which is great for those trying to eat more protein and less carbs. We got the tandoori chicken tikka and malai soy tikka. Both were absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a great add to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Today I was transported to a dream lifestyle. I ate at Red Chilli. Entering the restaurant , I was struck by the sheer elegance of the room. It is so tastefully decorated :Beautiful white walls with occasional floral wallpaper, lovely lighting features, a red velvet looking banquette that runs down one side of the room, and soft chairs on the other. An elegant venue for special occasions like anniversary or date, but I don't plan to wait for any special reason, it's a restaurant I hope to visit often. But not just for the decor. The service is just top draw, attentive, friendly, professional. Typical in only the finest places. We come to the food. A substantial menu, and both I and my companion were delighted by the deliciousness of our meal. I look forward to trying other of the many dishes. Real class in Jackson Heights.

Yelp
New restaurant! Let's see what they have. Service excellent. The place was nice and clean. Then again it just opened. Halal food is offered which is great. The food is nothing to rave about. It's priced fairly. Check it out for yourself.

Yelp
What a pretty restaurant in Jackson Heights! We were a group of 10 and in the mood for Indian food. The ambience was beautiful. The restaurants was super clean and I know this may sound trivial, but the chairs were so comfortable (important when with a large group at dinner that will last for hours and with elderly parents). The service was so nice, polite, and accommodating. And lastly, the food was really good. We are not adventurous Indian food eaters, so for entrees we ordered a lot of the basics (butter chicken, vindaloo, etc) but they were all delicious. We were a little more adventurous with appetizers and really enjoyed all of them. A very pleasurable experience in a beautiful relaxing space. You would never notice the restaurant from the outside since their windows are covered with a screen. I hope people discover them and give them a try. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Decided to try Red Chilli for lunch. It is new in the neighborhood and a welcome addition. Beautifully designed space and food to match. We put together a lunch of appetizers: pani puri, dumplings, samosa chat, and a lovely salad of mango and apple. All we would be very happy to eat again.

Yelp
Food was excellent. "Mild" means really mild. The service was excellent. The decor is superb--high ceilings, elegant, and quite. This might be the most beautiful restaurant in Jackson Heights.
