Yelp
on 10/8/24 at around 5pm, the red cow employee in terminal 1 with black curly hair in a ponytail and a dark complexion was extremely rude and disgusting.
i just bought a shwarma platter from the neighboring vendor, holy land, and saw that red cow was almost empty so i found a counter seat facing the window to eat alone. i wanted to buy a coke, so i asked the nice gentleman next to me to please watch my things so i could go buy a drink. he agreed, but when i came back, the red cow employee was touching my things.
she told me i had to move over to the corner, and i agreed right away. I didn't mind having to move into a corner but she was touching my things, hurriedly grabbing at my food with her bare hands and chucking it to the side. i calmly told her to stop and that i'd move it myself and at this point was still in an ok mood, and was already standing starting to move my own things but she ignored me and kept touching and moving my food with her bare hands.
even after i asked her to stop, she slid my sauce over the counter by smacking it with her backhand, not caring if it spilled or if her hands touched my food, and then i lost it. i said "dude stop, i said i'd move it." then, she proceeded to mumble under her breath as she walked away.
her and her female coworkers were yapping loudly in another language right next to me the entire time and laughing obnoxiously while i was there and it was obvious that they were talking smack about me.
i left shortly after but this was such a shitty experience and if anything, she either could've asked me nicely to leave or to move my things myself, which i would've done gladly.
i don't mind being told something is not allowed, but putting your nasty hands in someone else's food? ignoring their requests to stop manhandling their food/things? thats where i cross the line. i hope to never experience something as disgusting and ill-mannered as this again.
i can't help but think that if i were a white male, this wouldn't have happened. as an asian female, i was probably an easy target to bother. it was my first time in minnesota and i don't know how prevalent racism is there, but i know i'd rather not come back to find out.
