My husband and I ordered dinner here and brought it back to our hotel room to eat. I had the beef lo mein. I don't remember what my husband ordered. The portions were huge. We also ordered spring rolls. Again, they were huge. I recommend eating at Red Lotus. They're not open every day, so be sure to check.

YUM! Great Chinese Fastfood. I prefer the Chow Fun over the Chow Mein. The service is a 5 star. The staff was fast and friendly. We got our appetizers in 5 minutes and the food quickly followed. I look forward to eat here again.

Jason Wann

Google
We had a meal here and it’s inside the Tropicana Casino. It a decent meal if you are in the the casino. The portions are decent as well. It’s not the best I’ve had but decent. I would eat here again.

Google
Food -decent Prices -high Service -good I was really in the mood for Chinese food but my wife insisted so was came here. She wanted spicy edamame, fried rice and I wanted XXXtra spicy King Pao chicken. My wife got what she wanted and I got XXXtra spicy Orange chicken. I was hungry and ate it anyway instead of sending it back. It was pretty good.... I’d come back and try again but next time I want what I actually ordered.

12 oct 2022. Presentation lacking since more like carry out with tables. Pork potstickers, fried rice, veggie rolls all good flavor. Mongolian beef good flavor- meat on the fatty side.

Tracey Mcclure

Google
From the wonton soup to the chicken fried rice it was awesome. Beef peppered steak, potstickers, and Tokyo fries.all is good. Plan on sharing!

Greg Osborne

Google
Fresh, healthy, reasonably priced alternative just off the strip, in the Tropicana. Pleasant service. The slot machines are noisy but it's in the middle of a casino. I will be back again.

Kimberly Triche

Google
Portions are shareable and the price is well worth it. I wasn't able to complete a meal there yet!! Very tasty fair...

Yelp
Got to this okay Chinese place in the Tropicana before it closes. It may be the best food in there to be honest. Red Lotus is located just off the casino floor and has a few tables. Pretty bare bones look to it. There's just some basic Chinese American stuff. Best thing about it may be the pop machine actually. It's one of those Freestyle ones you can choose all kinds of flavors not typically seen elsewhere. The flavors of the food aren't quite as much of a variety. Basic Americanized is how to describe it. Pretty expensive for it too. It's about $17 for an entree. The Ma Po Tofu is the one option for vegetarians. Basic flavor. The Sriracha added to it helped though. Have to say the chances to go here are limited because the hotel is closing. It's your last chance to get some mediocre Chinese food. There's mostly meaty things but has some options for vegetarians.

Yelp
This is a counter-service restaurant with some seating in front. I had the congee with pork and a 1000-year-old egg. It was $15, which is kind of pricey for this dish. The congee was watery. The pork was dry, and the egg was okay. They had no chili oil or black vinegar. The woman at the counter was hard to hear and didn't know they served congee with pork. Everything is served in to-go bags. The restaurant is right next door to the pub.

Danny C.

Yelp
Grabbed some food to go and was pleasantly surprised that everything was made from scratch. I expected my soup to come from a batch made earlier in the day, but they made it to order. Lots of veggies in the egg drop soup. The bbq pork was very tasty as well. Decent portion sizes. My two items could have fed 2-3 people. The entrees come with steamed rice, but I turned it down since I've started eating low carb. Service was very friendly as well.

Yelp
Red Lotus is located in the 1970s-ish Tropicana near the MGM Grand. The Trop itself is way outdated but I think people just stay there to walk to MGM Grand. And if you want to save money on food, you eat at Trop. However, there will be a difference in quality. The service at Red Lotus is excellent, but despite being lower priced than MGM, it's still overpriced, and the Teriyaki Chicken is ho-hum. It's kind of like driving an old Chrysler. I have never driven an old Chrysler, but it's what I imagine the experience to be like.

Isaac G.

Yelp
I Ordered the Mongolian Beef, and my girlfriend ordered the Beef Pho. My Beef was extra slimy feeling and super chewy. The sauce wasn't very flavorful. The amount of food given was decent. The service was good once they acknowledged you. For the two items it was 43.80 Would not recommend.

Calina N.

Yelp
I was staying at the Tropicana Hotel and there aren't too many food options in our hotel so we were limited. I was craving Asian food and didn't want to go far so I decided to give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised! For the price it think it's worth it, they do have lunch specials that also include a drink. I tried the Tom Yum Noodle Soup and Pho Noodle soup. They gave quite a bit of meat in both which was great. The Pho broth was really light, so don't expect a great bowl of pho but it did the trick. It is located in the casino level of the Tropicana Hotel. The service was good and they do have quite a few drink options.

Michelle F.

Yelp
If your looking for an Asian restaurant, I wouldn't recommend. We got the Honey Walnut Shrimp and Curry Chicken. The Honey Walnut Shrimp that you get from Pandas is so much better, and for half the price. The shrimp has dry and hard, and the sauce was just thrown on there. The Curry chicken was very mild, with not much taste. Don't think we'll be back. Should've read the reviews before coming in.

Mi S.

Yelp
The restaurant looks amazing. Unfortunately the food is not tasty. I had the Kang pao chicken which tasted salty and lacked peanuts. The braised eggplant was ok. It looked great. It just tasted ok. I don't know how eggplant can't be super tasty but this eggplant was just ok.

Jay S.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. Overpriced but at least it was fresh. The service was good and the place is cute.

Elisha R.

Yelp
One of the best chinese restaurants I've eaten at, not just in Las Vegas but period. The staff are really nice and helpful, restaurant is clean. Food doesn't taste like it's been sitting under lights until ordered. Prices were good and portions big. This is my favorite place to eat in the Tropicana even when we're not staying there.

Chris B.

Yelp
It's a gem in the desert you can go out to top quality and not get this good of food I am so picky when it comes to my eggplant and garlic sauce and it is the goods yum yum five stars

Smurfy B.

Yelp
Ordered the Salted Mackerel and Chicken Fried Rice. The lady at the counter and the chef apparently didn't know they had something with mackerel on the menu cause I had to say it 3 times and point it out on the menus then my meal came with no mackerel. As in no fish whatsoever. I just got chicken fried rice. The food was like a mall food court food. That would have been ok but I paid $5 more for mackerel and did not get any could have just ordered the chicken fried rice on their menu for $5 less. They are getting 2 stars cause my partner said he was ok with the ramen dish he ordered (spam egg and ramen) he said the plate met his expectation.

P Z.

Yelp
I have to tell you I've been reading the reviews which seem to be mixed, but I've been here three times this week. There is a Serbian lady who works here who is so friendly it's like she's welcoming you to her home. The pad Thai is amazing. I had other dishes and they were good, but this was perhaps the best I've ever had. It's kind of a fast food vibe when you sit down and eat, but the food is as good as any restaurant I've been to down the strip. I'm sure the people at P.F. Chang's are pissed which I actually had the other day and it didn't even come close to this.

Apple S.

Yelp
To be a location on the strip, the prices aren't too bad. On the other hand it's in a hotel I had never been before and honestly hadn't heard of so not sure what a good price range is for here. We ordered the 3. Thai style egg rolls and the duck with some buns. The duck portion will blow you away: you get a whole frickin' duck :) it was really good. The egg rolls were good too. This place is nothing wild but will hit the spot if you're craving Chinese food!

Shawn M.

Yelp
Came back home to Vegas and the charter bus dropped me at Tropicana. I was starving so I looked for some Chinese food in the area and it was either a catch an Uber to Chinatown and eat there or eat here at Red Lotus, so for convenience I chose red Lotus. Truth be told, it wasn't the cleanest restaurant, several tables were dirty although there weren't many patrons. Also the food was pretty generic to be Chinese, which I expected and accepted before ordering. On the plus side, the service was nice and food was a large and filling. You can see the cook cooking your order. Prices were reasonable based on location and size of food. I ordered Cantonese fried rice and sweet-and-sour soup. It definitely did the job! If not willing to go to Chinatown, one could eat here and be OK.

Brian M.

Yelp
This is a wonderful place to visit. The atmosphere and food is great. Always visit when in Vegas. Love the smashed cucumbers. Located in the Tropicana!

Jason M.

Yelp
I've tried over and over to rationalize a 400% markup over the retail price (not wholesale, which is a 560% markup) for a bottle of matcha green tea 16oz, but I can't. I can, however, rationalize $20 wonton noodle soup, sure; but not bottled ITOEN matcha tea for $8. In comparison, next door at Robert Irvine, $8 is the price of a 16oz Goose Island IPA on tap.

Keith H.

Yelp
This is litterally the worst restaurant i ha e been to in many years. I ordrerd the mongolian beef and it was extremely low quality grissle meat. I was hungry. It was over priced and i threw it away. I love tom yum soup which my coworker ordered on my recomendation. He said it taste like dirty socks. I teied it to see. It wasnt good either. This restaurant does not serve good food and they feed you low quality ingredients while overpricing the menu. I steingly recomend that you eat at any other restaurant. I usually only leave good reviews but i couldnt here. I also woke up in the middle of the night burping up the little bit of oil and food i did swallow and had a mild fever and sweats... i am glad i didnt eat the meal!!!!

Kreng K.

Yelp
This was located inside Tropicana hotel were we stayed. They were the only ones that were opened when we arrived at the hotel so it was very comvenient especially if you are already tired from your flight. I forgot what we got but we actually loved everything we ordered from here. Would def come back next time! Also, the cashier was really sweet, kind and accommodating despite how busy they were. The place was clean snd social distancing was maintained.

Chante B.

Yelp
The food was great, i ordered the magolian beef and fried rice, i didnt no what to expect, but i was satisfied with my food selection and the staff were nice and accommidating. The sitting area was clean and comfortable, i would definitely eat there again.

Victoria L.

Yelp
While staying in the Tropicana hotel I wanted a late night bite but didn't want to have to leave the hotel. I decided to stop by Red Lotus to get a small bite. Personally I find the menu to be extremely overpriced but hey, it's a restaurant located in the lobby of a hotel on the strip. I ordered the wings and they were very tasty and extremely crunchy. I got the sauce on the side as I hate soggy wings and was glad I did because I didn't necessarily love the sauce they came with but it could be that the sauce was cold. Overall if you need a quick bite this may work for you, but keep in mind none of the items are cheap. I paid $13 for 6 wings.

Manny F.

Yelp
My wife and I arrived at the Tropicana Hotel around 10 pm and this was the only place open. We thought we would give it a try but immediately regretted it. She ordered kung Pao chicken which was sour and too salty. I ordered the broccoli beef which had rubbery like beef. The veggie spring rolls were soggy and bland. We paid $55 and would have preferred going to Panda Express for half the price.

PJ S.

Yelp
You know how most Chinese takeout places serve the same crap with the same ingredients sent to them from a processing warehouse? Well here's a place that serves the same menu but with much better ingredients. That's the best way to describe Red Lotus which sits inside the Tropicana Casino. I ordered Kung Po Chicken and Hot-n-Sour soup. Both were highly elevated dishes compared to my local Chinese takeout place but they were pricey too. My bill cleared $25. I'm not sure it was worth that price but damn that was a good meal. its a nice treat on vacation but I dont think I could stomach that price on a regular basis.

Jackie V.

Yelp
After attending a concert across the street, we escaped the chaos and went to The Trop in search of some food. The sign said open till 11pm and we arrived at 11:20pm but they still took our order. Score! I had the Pho, hubs had the Pad Thai with shrimp, baby girl was craving a burger but settled for Bao buns. Everything was delicious, fast in a lovely setting. You order at the counter, take a number and they bring you your food very shortly after. Will be back.

Mattie A.

Yelp
If you are looking for strong Asian flavors, this is probably not the restaurant for you. I had the Singapore noodles, it had good flavors, it just wasn't as strong as I typically like. The staff was as kind as can be. I am disappointed it is not a sit typical sit down restaurant, rather a walk up and order deal. It wasn't the atmosphere I was hoping for. Personally, I would have rather saved my money on chips at the hallway market than this particular restaurant. I had about 1/4 of my bowl until I decided it wasn't worth the calories. The meat was extremely low quality. They didn't have a couple of appetizers that I was interested, but that turned out to be a blessing.

Brent S.

Yelp
This Asian place was just okay IMHO. I got the wonton soup with noodles. It was pretty tasty, but not as good as more traditional wonton soup that I have had, especially for the price. I really have no desire to return to this restaurant. I would not say that it is bad, but just okay. Service was fairly quick. You order at the counter and they let you know when it is ready.

Neil E.

Yelp
I know that negatively reviewing something given to you for free is not the right thing to do. My mother and father didn't raise me in a barn after all. Under normal circumstances, I would never think to denigrate anything "given" to me, no matter how bad it was. But in this case, I will make an exception for the following reasons. First, The Las Vegas Tropicana Hotel never advised me they would charge in addition to an existing hold on my credit card. Isn't that why there's a hold on my credit card, to begin with? The Tropicana charged $200.00 in separate and additional charges for the food given to me for free. I was even under the allotted free amount that they compted me. If I had gone over what was "given," I would completely understand, and they would be free to keep the credit card "hold" money to cover the overage. But to add it to the existing hold is reprehensible, and for someone that may not have a high credit line as I do, it could have a devastating impact. Secondly, with credit card holds, we all know and understand how Las Vegas hotels now operate. And it's not just the Tropicana Hotel; it's pretty much all of them except the classier establishments like the Wynn, Waldorf, Veer, and a few others. Are you kidding me by adding charges to existing charges that many customers may never notice? How low can these hotels now go? Had The Tropicana not pulled this despicable move by charging my credit card, and no matter how bad Robert Irvine's Public House and Red Lotus Asian Kitchen Restaurant food was, I would never review it negatively. But they did, and I will. I want my money back for the Pepto Bismol since I didn't pay for the food. I would have demanded my money back and the doctor's charges if I had spent money on the sandwiches, pizza, and salad ordered last night. The two small pizzas tasted like imitation cheese and pepperoni on cardboard. Utterly disgusting, quite frankly. The Rubin sandwich was so salty and dry that I had to down 40 plus ounces of water last night. And the salad was something I could have bought at any Seven Eleven for $5.99, and that would have tasted at least as good as the $30.00 they charged. The food at the Red Lotus Asian Kitchen Restaurant was (hard to believe) worse than at Robert Irvine's Public House. We had a small bowl of shrimp noodles which was the worst I've ever had, and I've had some awful Chinese noodles in my life. The Mongolian beef (also in a small plastic bowl) was even saltier than the Rubin sandwich. And a few bottles of tea. The Tropicana Hotel charged the outrageous amount of $100.00 for these items. Are you kidding me? I could go on and upload a few god-awful pictures of the food mentioned above, but I will be merciful, unlike The Tropicana, and not overdo it. Bona petite if you dare.

Camille B.

Yelp
Red Lotus Asian Kitchen is conveniently located in the Tropicana for all guests to enjoy. The staff accommodated our sizable group of 10 people and helped suggest items to get. I enjoyed the Pad Thai with chicken. The dish was flavorful and had vegetables in it which is always a plus. The Sriracha sauce on each table added a perfect kick to the dish. I was able to finish my dish but others found the portion to be very generous. I found it to be just right for my hungry tummy. The other delectable items were the bottle sake beverages. We enjoyed the coconut and the white peach. I highly recommend both. The cashier helped sell both of these items perfectly and they didn't disappoint. This was a pleasant hotel meal. Good job Red Lotus.

Sylvie F.

Yelp
This place pleasantly surprised me! You go up to the counter, place your order and pay. Beverages are self service. When your order is ready they bring it to your table. I asked a lot of questions about menu items and the lady at the counter was more than happy to share ingredients with me. Mom has a serious peanut allergy, so I take it seriously to make sure not only peanuts are not in any of the food she is ordering, but also that they do not sauté or fry food in peanut oil. The spicy edamame I ordered was yummy! So was the bang bang cauliflower my brother ordered. It was a nice "unique vegetarian take" on the usual bang bang shrimp found on most menus. Mom's Thai style egg rolls was just okay. Both the hot and sour soup and egg corn soup were had nice flavors! My fried rice order was very tasty and I shared my huge serving with Mom and my brother. I asked how they prepared the bang bang cauliflower and the chef came out and told me. I thought that was very nice, since I want to duplicate it at home sometime. I like that they prepare the food onsite to order! It takes a few minutes but well worth the fresh made to order taste. Yes I will definitely return next time I am in Las Vegas!

Yelp
Came here for a late dinner with a friend. Clean and pleasant restaurant. Fast food environment. Staff were friendly and attentive . They have pretty interesting choices up on their menu. Ordered the Pad Thai Noodles and Thai Egg Rolls and we didn't wait long for our food and it was good. They offer refillable drinks and one of the staff comes out to check on your needs every now and then. Enjoyed it!

Jennifer P.

Yelp
The food was terrible and expensive. We got general tsos, shrimp fried rice and pork pad thai. The noodles were gummy and lumped together. The egg rolls weren't cooked and were gummy. The pot stickers were decent.

Beryl D.

Yelp
Very good food and generous sized portions for a good price. My mother got the chicken Cantonese fried rice and I got the Kung Pao chicken with fried rice. Very delicious.

Elbert C.

Yelp
The duck was delicious but that's about it. Wouldn't count this place as a real Chinese food restaurant. Like a food court quick service. $38 for half a duck was pretty outrageous too. Luckily we were given a food voucher so that made it worth it.

Raymond N.

Yelp
Food taste good and the speed of serving is great. May go there again for casual dinning.

Jesse L.

Yelp

Yelp
Awesome Asian restaurant the red lotus. Five stars super great staff members. Ate a lot delicious plates. Asian beers and liquors available for purchase. Order the duck crispy skin juicy inside meat and good dipping sauce.

Jose C.

Yelp
All you need to know is to just get the kung poa chicken wings. These were some of the best wings I ever had. They were 4 times the size of bdubs and were so meaty and juicy inside. The sauce and peanuts were a good compliment to these enormous meaty juicy wings. The walnut shrimps were surprisingly good as they were lightly battered and fried. They do use baby shrimps but it's a generous portion Their noodle soups were standard and ribs were okay but it's a large portion. Yes, their prices are a bit high but this is the strip we're talking about and I believe their portion size justify the price in my opinion.

Tracie W.

Yelp
I am very impressed to say the least! The vegetables are so fresh. The sweet and sour chicken bowl was delicious and my Husband loved the Thai Curry Shrimp Bowl. The Guest Experience Specialist of the Tropicana was AWESOME! She is so professional and aims to please! The decor was authentic and the atmosphere was sheik and upbeat. We will definitely come back. I wish nothing but luck and blessings to this establishment. Thank you!!

Victoria S.

Yelp
Just had shrimp pad Thai and it was not very good to say the least. The tofu they added to it was so soggy and saturated in oil, it was disgusting. The sauce was bland and was probably the worst pad Thai I've had, and I've had quite a lot. My husband had the red lotus fried rice with chicken and said it was okay. I tasted it and thought it was okay at best, but I certainly wasn't yearning for more. I wouldn't return or recommend to anyone else. And a rip off, even for being on the Strip.

Preetesh V.

Yelp
During my stay at the Tropicana hotel I decided to try this place out. They have a food court style of service but the decor and ambiance is 3 notches above the stereotypical asian food court type. The furniture and decor compliments the overall outlook. I order the Red Lotus chow mein and to my surprise it was pretty decent. Looking forward to try other dishes next time.

Grecia G.

Yelp
You know what this place is actually very good everything is put together very well the food seems fresh and the noodles in the wonton soup are sooooo good! The only thing I will slightly complain about is that I asked the chef to use light oil but my food was still extremely oily I had to pay it down e try time before eating with a napkin. But other than that I enjoyed every entree we got. We also got the mixed veggie, orange chicken and the king pao shrimp. They were all very good in flavor and the ingredients can tell were fresh. I would come here before I go to the food court for sure! Next time I want to try the pho and the pad Thai. I wish they had more vegan options with tofu though. The older gentleman that helped me at the cash register was so seeet and kind I loved him! He went out of his way to pour me some siracha to go I appreciated that a lot!!

Sammy C.

Yelp
Located inside the Tropicana casino on Las Vegas Blvd, a corner restaurant near all the games and tables. The Mongolian beef plate with the side of rice was perfect. Added the usual soy sauce and a medium lemonade to my order, sat down, and finished my food with the chop sticks. The body was ready to hit the night out in beautiful Las Vegas

Frank F.

Yelp
I was looking for a quick meal. It was because I left half of it. On a scale of 1-10 the beef pho almost made a 1. The broth tastes like it came from a can and the low grade beef topped it all off. This was the worst pho I've eaten. I'll walk further next time.

Amanda K.

Yelp
Open again for business at the Tropicana today! (9/25) The food was great, and a welcome reprieve from the lack of choices in the Tropicana. Chefs make food fresh to order, and even though the menu is limited at the moment, the food was very satisfying. The rice was cooked great and was an amazing accompaniment to the spicy sauce at the bottom of the to-go containers we got (so me and my husband could eat in our rooms - yum!) Cashier and cooks were nice and food came out quickly. They were also able to accommodate special requests for adding spice to their normally non-spicy entrees. Sorry I didn't grab a photo - but the food was so good! Thanks Red Lotus!

Courtney R.

Yelp
Food was not great. Didn't taste authentic pad Thai. Wings were spicy but good. Svetlana was nice. I'd you want a military discount definitely get the card before going to the line because even if you have your ID in uniform in hand they will refuse the discount.

Julie H.

Yelp
What happened Red Lotus? Ive been coming here for years. I know they underwent changes, with the new hotel by-out. But who is the head chef that took over this place? WHo puts red onion in Pho? Red onion is a raw onion used mostly in salads, because it is not cooked. So you do not put it in soups. All the meat was so overcooked, that it was extra well done before and without the broth. It should be rare and the broth cooks the meat. Also, why are all the Asian beers gone, and only Japanese wines left, when there is absolutely no Japanese food served? And they are out of steamed dumplings and wontons? You do realize most Asian do not prefer deep fried dumplings. Pan fried yes, you can do it on a panini press. (I was told they have been out of wontons for months and they are ordered from China ) But not deep fried, it is not street food. Were any Asians consulted for these changes? It's now diner level at best and didn't even enjoy the free meal. Why is all the meat boiled? Disappointed for the first time there. ***People that work there super nice, friendly and helpful

Larry K.

Yelp
If in the area this is a great place to get some good asian food. The general tso is extremely good. A tad on the spicey side. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Kait L.

Yelp
Two words say it all. Very mediocre. I went to the Red Lotus for dinner tonight and tried the chicken pad Thai and Korean BBQ spring rolls. The springs rolls were in fact pretty good, but the pad Thai was average at best. Also I'm not sure if it normally comes with tofu AND a meat of your choosing, (it's not advertised at such) but my chicken pad Thai has a substantial amount of tofu in it as well as chicken. The mean was good, but lacked flavor and didn't use the typical pad Thai noodles. For the price ($16 for pad Thai) I would not recommend this place. If it were cheaper I would say it's worth it, but at the price I would not recommend that anyone go here with any high expectations.

Gayle B.

Yelp
Way overpriced, didn't care for it much at all and the price we paid made it worse. Felt like airport food and maybe worse. I will gladly pay for good food, this wasn't it, very disappointed.
