Red Maple Chinese Restaurant

I used to drive by this restaurant all the time and notice one thing—the parking lot was always full. Day after day, car after car, people coming and going. Still, for some reason, I never felt the pull to stop in. Maybe it was routine, maybe assumptions, maybe just being too busy. Then one lunch break, curiosity finally won. I walked in without big expectations … and walked out genuinely impressed. The food was really good—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite felt like the kitchen knew exactly what it was doing. On top of that, the service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and fast without making you feel rushed. It turns out a full parking lot is sometimes the best review a place can have. I should’ve listened sooner. Now it’s officially on my go-to list.

Service was outstanding, fast and friendly. A friend and I had lunch here. The food was fantastic. I had the General Tso's Chicken lunch combo, large portions of food, all was hot, fresh and tasted fantastic. My friend had the Mongolia beef lunch combo and she said the same as I did about her meal. Ordered potstickers also and they were huge and taste was superb. We both had lots of leftovers to take home. Price was cheap for the amount of food we got. I definitely will be going back and highly recommend. The last picture is the leftover food I took home.

Dinner was fantastic, the service was quick and friendly. Dim sum sampler, and the PonPon beef is a MUST have. Never tasted anything like it anywhere else! Will be dropping by any time I’m in the area. The Szechuan golden fish soup was delicious, and the mouth numbing was a pleasant new avenue of spice. The fish was delicate and tender, truly a very good dish.

Red Maple is on my to go list to eat at during my stay here in SLC. We made it in this morning for a nice round of dim sum. I have been looking forward to this joint all week. We made it in a little after opening. I was worried about it being overly crowded but it was a great time when we came in. We got sat right away. While getting sat, seeing the little ladies pushing the carts full of food just brought pure excitement to my heart. I knew I was in for a real treat. We started off strong! We got started off with a big helping of char sui. Then everything else started trickling in. Haw gar, shu mai, congee, sticky rice in lotus leaf, calamari. Then the gai lan, fried shrimp balls, long shrimp noodles and of course our sweets came shortly after. We probably ordered enough food for 8 people. And man was it worth it! The char sui was flavorful and tender. The shu mai was savory and meaty. The congee was very warming to me soul. I loved the doughy bread pieces that they topped it off with, I just wish there was more. The lotus leaf sticky rice was tasty and had big pieces of Chinese sausage and shitake mushrooms. The fried shrimp balls were fresh and hot! The sauce they pair with it is similar to walnut shrimp. The sweet sauce and the savory shrimp ball was such a good tasty combo. They were so tasty! I loved my taro cakes. They were slightly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The Chinese broccoli was so fresh! The calamari was tender and salty! It had a slight heat to it fun the jalapenos, so good! I had a little of everything, it was hard not to have it all! I wish everything could have been perfect. The haw gar was kinda cold which was odd since they barely just opened. The wrapping on them was hard which is a bummer cause the wrapping is my favorite. I do wish there was more noodle to the shrimp long noodle. It was nice to have a huge piece of shrimp in it but more noodle would have been great. The service was great! The venue is huge and can accompany a huge crowd. The food was 85% there and I was happy with it! I got my dim sum fix. It brought back so many childhood memories for me. Being in San Francisco, having little old ladies pushing food carts around showing us all thier goodies in their carts. It was a great way to start my Sunday and I'm happy I got to start it off at Red Maple today.

🥟 Dim Sum｜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Maple Chinese Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! Everything we tried was fresh, plump, juicy, and served piping hot. You can really tell the dim sum is made fresh that day — nothing sitting around in steamers for too long. Each dish came straight from the kitchen, hearty and satisfying, unlike the lukewarm cart service you often find in big cities. The are a pork ribs must-try, and the beef tripe are truly unique and unforgettable. Honestly, you can order here with your eyes closed and never go wrong. Highly recommended!

Went there for dinner tonight. Outstanding very friendly service, drinks always stayed full. I paid $60 for dinner and I ordered a loooot of food. Dim sum is top notch, the bbq duck was delectable, and do NOT sleep on the strawberry chicken. You can’t go wrong with this place. The green beans in black bean sauce is also amazing. I’ll definitely be back soon.

This restaurant was amazing! I loved the chicken feet and the duck and the specialty fried rice and the fried shrimp balls and the dimsum and custard buns, it was cheap and so tasty! And they gave us extra rice for the meal too.

I absolutely love the food and staff here. They are always so kind and sweet! I have never had a bad experience here and we come pretty often. I would recommend this place to everyone! Renee is seriously the best ❤️ They have all kinds options! We usually do family style (Al a cart) and it works great!
