Red Palace Korean BBQ Restaurant

Hello everyone. Welcome to the Red Palace. First things first, get here early because this place fills up quickly. The service is fast here. I was impressed with how fast we got our food every time we ordered. I arrived here at 7 pm on a Friday to a full house and was seated in about 30 minutes (very fast, in my opinion). Horrible service. We waited 10 mins for them to bring back our grill then they were rushing us. Waitress asked us "You pay cash" when we weren't even finished eating. Our time wasn't up then their said we were over our time limit. No good bye or thank you Do better and learn how to treat your customers.

Came here for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. We left well fed. The price is what won me over too. $18.99/ person! ( I have always wanted to try Korean BBQ with my kids but never felt it was worth the $27 - $35/ person prices at most other Korean BBQ restaurants, since they don’t really eat much anyways. And I wasn’t sure if they were going to like it. Glad they loved it.) We went around 3:30pm on a Sunday and waited about 10mins for a table.

NOT RECOMMENDED! The service was just trying to rush us the whole time. They kept interrupting us literally every minute and we couldn't even talk without feeling rushed. The server grabbed our plate of meat and proceeded to dump it on the grill without us wanting to cook the meat yet. That was ridiculously rude so we left early. We were only there for an hour total when they have a 2 hour limit.

SERVICE IS TERRIBLE DO NOT COME HERE. I NEVER write reviews but this was a nightmare restaurant. I really dialike spreading negativity but I'd like to warn people. As soon as we walked in they were rude and started issues. We were 10 min late due to an accident on the freeway. We apologized and were totally willing to wait. Instantly the host begins to lecture my friend and belittle him. He tried to explain the situation and the man at the counter was unbelievably rude to him telling him he shouldn't have done that. Once we waited and were about to get sat he began to lecture my friend again unnecessarily. I dont understand why they were so upset. We apologized and didnt plan to be late at all but the situation was out of our control. The whole time we ate all of the staff ignored us and brushed us off. Then we asked for more beef and the server audibly groaned at us for asking. We were nothing but respectful this entire experience but they were TERRIBLE. I also heard 3 other groups having the same issue. Ive never been to a restaurant where the servers made customers feel terrible for being a customer. ID NEVER IN MY LIFE COME BACK HERE. Additionally, as soon as we had to pay they mentioned that they only take cash. No signs, no notes, and they refused to take any kind of card payment. Hospitality was a -100/100. Never had a worse experience in my life. I honestly dont even know how they still get business.

yum yum yum. this place is so great. service is so quick and easy to get the plates you want. there is usually a pretty long wait so be prepared for that or come during an off time. i will say the only downside is it does get pretty smoky in here and i always leave with my hair smelling of smoke, but oh well it’s worth it.

This restaurant has great prices and great food! The food is better than Gen in my opinion and unless you really need a diverse menu the prices are much better. You cook on cast iron instead of a hot metal disk which gives the meat a better flavor. The only thing that would make my review better is if the restaurant served glass noodles and a different sauce. Good customer service, staff were friendly. Maximum of 2 hour stay. Eat all you can for $11.99. The macaroni salad is the best!

Our party of 3 opted for Menu B 25.99 Recommended meats - Beef Belly, Short rib, Rib finger meat, and pork steaks. Brisket was a little too chewy. Prime steak- a little thin thus making it hard to perfect on the grill. Would definitely recommend their seafood soup! Prices - Are very affordable Service -5/5 - very quick and always asking if orders of meat needed to be put in. Soups/steam egg do take around 10 minutes Bathrooms - tagged up but stocked with essentials

Got here at 8:45pm and the old korean guy (prob manager/owner) says the kitchen closes at 9pm , the restaurant closes at 10:30pm , i read the reviews on yelp and it says that the kitchen closes at at 10pm , Just lazy workers who wants to go home early. You just lost returning customers for good ! P.s. read all the bad reviews to save yourself time.

They upped their price by like $2 since I was last here, but still good meat and cheap among most KBBQ's in the area. The quality of meat today was either really good or I just cooked it really good today haha. Everything from my last review still remains the same but service was really good today and quite fast.

Recently checked out this location with my boyfriend since it's close to where we live, so we rode our e-bikes here. The plaza that it's in doesn't have any bike racks to lock our e-bikes to so we ended up parking our bikes in the front of the business and locked both bikes together. We sat where we can see them so no biggie. Food quality is great here, the ban chans were fresh, plentiful, and all you can eat. We usually get bulgogi and brisket, both were great! We had 3 bulgogi bowls and two plates of brisket which filled out bellies! Service was awesome, the staff members were friendly, tentative, and efficient! Everyone was very helpful. Ambiance is great! We liked that this location wasn't blasting any loud obnoxious music like the other location. We can eat in peace or have a conversation if we wanted to. There were lots of seating, good ventilation so it wasn't smokey. We definitely liked this location better than the other one. We will be making this spot our usual go to A.Y.C.E KBBQ.

I've been coming here for years so seeing this was super disappointing!! Closed for vermin infestation on 10/23/2025

22.99 ayce all day. You can add on the premium stuff for extra. The basic price includes plenty of good meat options. Good food. Not a buffet style. They bring you the sides you ask for.

Loved this spot. Would go there every Friday. Sad to find out the owner of the property sold the whole plaza.

Good for the price, service was fast considering we went on a busy night, they were very accommodating and attentive for AYCE. Small thin cuts of meat but I cant be mad because you can order as much as you can eat. We ate in what felt like an extended area of the restaurant, it was a dark and crowded restaurant but I was kind of about it. I would come back if you want BBQ at a cheap price.

Mom and pop Korean BBQ feel. Place is a bit run down and bathroom is severely tagged up. Galbi was good size and the marinade they use is homemade and light on flavor, taste is a bit citrusy which is not my favorite. Brisket and beef belly was good, steamed egg was not salted at all. Overall satisfies the Korean BBQ fix. experience.

Solid AYCE Korean BBQ option i been here a few times and im about to go again so i wanted to write a review to share my experience here! So the must try meats gotta be the bulgogi and and Galbi (marinaded la ribs) are so good! But all the food is fresh and taste amazing! Service is always great they change the grill multiple times and you don't even gotta ask they go around to your table often and make sure you get all the meats and banchan you want! Very nice servers and the ambiance is very intimate and great for families or dates or going out to a special dinner with the homies! All In all this is my go too Korean Bbq spot!

The food is good but man is the customer service non-existent. First, we arrived 10 mins late for a reservation (that was our fault but we had called to let them know of the traffic we were experiencing). The host lectured our friend about being late which was extremely uncalled for. The waiter was great for keeping up with our requests for more. However, when it came for the check, they wouldn't accept card at all, which wasn't stated anywhere on the store. Luckily we had enough cash on hand to cover it but it was unprofessional to demand cash without prior warning. The last straw was the FORCED GRATUITY on a 3-person party. They know their service is horrible so they force the tip they don't deserve. There are other good KBBQ spots in the area, this one is an exception.

Bulgogi is always our go-to, it tastes the best. And we also love the complimentary macaroni salad. Service is 50/50 depends who you get, but usually you get seated quick and the meat comes out really fast. It's a little dark inside so sometimes you can't really tell when something is cooked all the way, but it's still a vibe so 10/10

The restaurant itself is dark, we could barely see if our food were cooked. I wish it had better lighting. The quality of the food is ok. We got option A which is $20.99/person (great price). They give you small sides so you need to keep on asking for more. If you want a quick fix for your kbbq craving, this place does the job not it is nothing spectacular.

Drove an hour and half after work got here at 6:30 pm on a Friday night and they are closed but online says open.

This place is falling apart. Literally. Sticky dirty walls. Sticky dirty chairs. Broken restroom faucet, with a piece of foil paper placed on to serve as a "knob". Poor ventilation system. Air conditioner that's taped on with who knows what kind of tape and hardly works. Poor meat quality. Sticky dirty self serve sauce containers. Nobody seems to be happy they work there. Not sure how this place hasn't gotten shut down. But wait, to top it all off....theres a forced 18% gratuity for parties of 4 or more.

I honestly wouldn't not recommend coming here. I'm not sure if the older man who is always at front the owner or the manager but he's always in a bad mood. He is so rude and always with his bad vibes. The waiters are nice and the food is decent but I have had better tbh. There is a kbbq in every other corner not coming back again.

The older man at the front was extremely rude. We asked for a booth, and he rolled his eyes and shook his head at me. Throughout our meal, he kept walking by and giving us dirty looks. He sat us in the very back booth next to the restroom although all other booth tables were empty and it smelled really bad. As we were leaving we told him thank you and he completely ignored us. He should remember to treat customers with respect. On a positive note, the servers were great and provided excellent service. The food was okay. Overall, the staff at Red Palace 2 are much friendlier.

It's been a long time since I've been here and I can say that Red Palace continues to be a solid spot for affordable and solid kbbq. Our server Jay was so helpful and attentive- our water jug was never empty and he always refilled our sides and checked in if we wanted to order more meat. I enjoyed our beef belly & bulgogi meats. Their bulgogi marinade is sweet but not too sweet which I prefer. Interior is simple and straightforward. There's a lot of fancy kbbq spots out there but this one still stands out.

I have been coming here for years. My friends and I love this place so much. We've come when it's busy and have always been seated and served quickly. While I wish they had more variety in their banchan, their meat is absolutely exquisite. I think hands down the quality of the meat served here is my all time favorite. The marination in the bulgogi and cut of the pork belly is just amazing in my opinion. I always eat good coming here. Love this place!

My son and I wanted try Korean BBQ didn't know we should try rolling heights or cerritos .we looked up cerritos and seen the first 5 red palace was the least expensive so we went there. When we got there there was some people there eating i have never . We were greeting excellent customer service. We took the 20 dollar menu .it comes with different side dishes. We had a great time eating. The food was excellent. Customer service was excellent.They brought the meat right away. By the time we were leaving, there was a line out the door I will highly recommend this place

The grill was broken, causing half the meat to literally fall into the fire. The staff was extremely rude, literally forcing us out way before the 90min time limit. DO NOT GO HERE

I've visited Red Palace several times with family in the past and always had a good experience, which is why I recommended this location to five of my coworkers for dinner after work last night. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing from start to finish. When we sat down, there was an empty Modelo bottle left on our table from the previous guests. Despite asking multiple times for it to be removed, our waitress left it there and seemed uninterested in addressing it. Throughout the meal, she rarely checked in on our table. Each of us only had one napkin, and we had to ask other guests to call her over when we needed anything. Every time we requested more meat, she rolled her eyes, which was very unprofessional. For six hungry adults, the portions of meat provided were minimal, and something as simple as rice paper had to be requested three or four times, which appeared to bother her as well. To make matters worse, before we even finished eating--and with about 45 minutes still left before closing--we were presented with the check. The waitress explained that they would not bring any more meat unless we paid the bill. I was shocked to see that a $30 tip had already been added. When I explained that we did not wish to pay a tip due to the poor service, I asked to speak with the manager. Rather than addressing the concerns respectfully, the manager argued with me and insisted that "it's the law" for the tip to be added, which is absolutely not true. Only after going back and forth was the added tip removed. This was frustrating and embarrassing, especially since I had recommended this restaurant to my coworkers. I don't have an issue paying for a tip when service meets expectations, but this was far from acceptable. The attitude from both the server and the manager left a very negative impression. I would highly recommend visiting other Korean BBQ spots in the area that value their customers and provide quality service.

Came in with a friend and the food was pretty good! Service was great.. soft drinks were watered down . Ambiance was great.. low lighting family oriented..

The service wasn't very responsive, they took a long time to actually get sauces and extra proteins. Food was alright. Uninviting vibes.

Let me just say--this place BLEW MY MIND. Pulled up on a Saturday night, and from the moment we walked in, the vibes were immaculate. The smell of sizzling meat, the energy of the spot, the perfect balance of hype and chill--it was everything you want from a KBBQ night out. Service: Our waitress? MAGICAL. I'm convinced she had some kind of sixth sense because every time we were about to ask for something, she was already on it. Drinks? Never empty. Meat? Always perfectly timed. She made us feel like VIPs without even trying. Seriously, some of the best service I've ever had--give this girl a raise! Food: Now let's talk about the real reason we came--the MEAT. Bruh. Life-changing. The brisket? Melted in my mouth. The pork belly? Had me questioning everything I thought I knew about pork. The short ribs? Perfection. Absolute must-order. Everything was high-quality, cooked to perfection, and seasoned just right. I legit left a different person than when I walked in. Overall: This wasn't just a meal--it was an experience. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out on one of SoCal's greatest KBBQ spots. 11/10, legendary, will be back ASAP.

Food was good, nothing to complain about there but the service was absolutely atrocious. Waiter kept forgetting items we asked for, Had a friend ask for a fork and didn't get it until we asked the second time, in the picture our grill was broken, and only after we complained did we get it changed, When asked about a potential discount manager wanted to charge full price, was never asked about drinks, only got 1 bowl of rice after asking for 3. Overall horrible experience Never coming back.

Bang for the buck bulgogi beef the best... Surprisingly still low price compared to other kbbq ayce.. although limited meats still hits the spot.. cant complain and i will bring my family here...

Came here on a Sunday Evening. No wait. Was seated in less than five minutes. As soon as we sat down. One waiter put two bottles of water on the table. Another waitress quickly dropped off all the sides. There was a third waitress who quickly came to take our order. The waitresses would notice our empty sides and ask us if we would like it refilled. Got napkins and water promptly when requested. All waiters were attentive at picking up empty plates. We ordered mostly beef belly, brisket and thin pork belly. Meat was average. Also ordered galbi short rib and they were huge! Very tasty. I have to compliment the macaroni salad. It was just so good to me. My friend really enjoyed their potato salad. Sad they don't offer fish cake. They could really work on their sauce. It was too sour for me. This place got no ventilation at all! I got very hot. Restroom was ick! Overall, for a quick fix. I'd come back.

Food was good however we were greatly disappointed from the customer service from our waiter. We tried to take into consideration that it was packed but he put little to no effort, unprofessional and there was a meat slicer in the bathroom which was odd.

By far, my favorite Korean barbecue place. Yes sometimes they might not be as attentive, but they are very busy due to their service of other guess and quality. And also, I do ask for a lot of rice paper so not their fault. Hahaha Good food and good seating.

Service today was really bad. Our server walked away 3 times while we were telling her our order. We had to get up from our table multiple times to get a hold of her because she rarely came by. Come to find out no wonder you get shitty service they already tact on gratuity with 4 people. So they can care less what service they're giving you. I mention to the manager that charges at the door about our service. And he replied with ok. In other words he didn't care!!!!! Will not be coming back. I'll be going to BBQ night in Hawaiian Gardens service is always A1 . And not to mention they don't have higher quality meats.

We love this place ... it's never disappoints but today our waitress Cindy made our dining experience memorable . She didn't miss a beat and was attentive to everything we needed ...

I can't speak on food because I did not eat here. Manager is incredibly rude and would not accommodate pricing for me. I had bariatric surgery and can only eat 2-4 oz of food. Despite showing him my medical proof, he would not even acknowledge it. This manager is discriminatory to persons with medical disabilities. I have not had this issue at any other restaurant. Not to mention when we got here he ran into a waitress and did not even apologize to his own employee. Very disappointing, when trying to celebrate with my family and we were excited to eat at this establishment. I don't recommend dining here based on poor customer service due their poorly trained manager.

They had no wait on a Saturday afternoon, super friendly and attentive staff, food is amazing , and pricing is affordable. Chill and casual environment

If you go when it's not busy AND you can put up with hurried, uncaring service, this is a pretty good value. Let's face it KBBQ can be expensive - like plan at least sixty bucks a person - at regular KBBQ restaurants with clean floors, bathrooms and a customer first attitude. This place is AYCE and will get you full for around twenty-five dollars. But you will sacrifice service here and judging by the graffiti bathroom/storage room, cleanliness too. The banchan is subpar and only macaroni salad, potatoes, lettuce, kim chi, and fish cake strips. I think I saw someone else had cucumber slices but they don't come automatically. Half of the KBBQ experience for me is the variety of banchan I get to try, but not here. I did get seconds of the brisket (be sure to add salt) and the bulgogi. We were asked to pay half cash and half credit card even before we were done eating. It's the little things that get me to vow never to return to a place.

I brought my son here on a whim as our usual KBBQ location was closed. I decided to choose this location due to the cool dim purple lighting which definitely made the ambience seem super chill. Walking in, unfortunately due to the grease the floors are very very slippery. The food was delicious! Lots of choices of meat and if you're a kimchi type of person... make sure to order extra. Kimchi flavor wasn't 100% what I like but still about 70% for my liking. Obviously tastes even better with food. Children under 8yrs old get 50% off which was very nice. Gratuity is automatically added. Overall yummy place just wish the floors were not as hard to walk on.

Solid place in area. Sometimes a wait, probably most places on the weekend. Like most visits bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi for the win.

Came here again today at around 12 pm and was immediately sat down and served. Their service was super nice and quick. They checked on us frequently. It was pretty empty during our visit but they still acted quick, nice touch! Orders also came out just as quick. It's still $20 per person. In terms of meat they're usually consistent but today their brisket tasted different than usual, a little bit more tough, it wasn't the cooking. Everything else was super delicious as always. Our favorite is the beef belly. Today the sides also tasted much fresher! I also like how they already have prefilled water jugs so you don't have to keep asking for refills as often. They're also quick to refill the jug as well. Overall super quick service. Sides quality is not consistent, and delicious meats!

Good price for what you get. Has 3 categories to choose from and each person eating must get the same category. Servers come often to help clean grill and take orders. I like it here because of the sides that come with everything. Sometimes a little dark do the ambiance is a more chill vibe

Service was excellent, quick, very attentive. Food choices was excellent as well. We ordered brisket, pork belly, roast, chicken, kalbi, bulgogi and intestine. The banchan was good, endless refills. Beer and soju selection was perfect! The ambiance reminds me of when I travel to Korea . We'll definitely be coming back!

Got there at 9:25pm for them to tell us the kitchen closes at 10pm. No where on their yelp does it say that. Disappointed.

This place is a great restaurant to log out on some Korean BBQ. DO NOT come here if you are in a diet. VEGETARIANS DO NIT come here. VEGANS run for the hills. Bring $25 dollars if you want to eat like a king. No dollar menu so penny pinchers look elsewhere. Cheers! Jordan

We will definitely be coming back to this place! Service was insanely fast, and our server remembered 3 tables' orders without writing anything down. It is a bit smoky in there so be aware. Food quality was really good too, our personal favorite was the marinated beef belly. Would go again!

Came as a family to eat after a busy morning, as we where sitting and grilling one of my daughters felt something crawling on her leg, she got up to dust herself and a roach fell of from under her skirt. One of the waitress saw it and immediately smashed it to the ground, didn't even clean it up. They never acknowledged us they just started talking among themselves and would look back at us. My husband did speak to the mgr and she said they where aware there where roaches but didn't know what to do, my husband told her that it's a restaurant and that she needed to be careful or the next person might not be as understanding. She just said that she knew and offered to deduct one of the 5 kkbq charges from our bill. We definitely lost our appetite and do not plan to return.

They are QUICK to serve you and bring you meat here in the beginning. My family did have to ask for extra rice paper and such, but they brought it without problem. My only complaint was how much the server seemed to want us to finish up. The actual meat takes a while to cook to. Not sure if it was just our grill but I sat there itching for it to cook. Price is great! Solid option to come enjoy some food.

Noticed my bill was more than expected, they are now adding 18% tip to your bill. No notification posted. Then they still ask if you want to tip. Make sure you're not double tipping. I want to tip based on service.

Horrible experience with the "manager" I put my name on the list and he told me it would be a 30 minute wait I was waiting while listening to him call other names I went to check with him how much longer 20 minutes in and he had passed 6 people ahead of me. He did not apologize he started to argue with me telling me that he has other people waiting and that he'll see when he'll sit me down keep in mind I had my 10 month old in my arms asking him if we could at least be seated next since he skipped us he said that I was not understanding and that he would see. He was absolutely rude and not acknowledging that we had waited for our turn I asked him to speak to a manager and he said he was the manager and did not give me another option. I left after waiting to be seated.

I would give 0 stars if I could... 2 of my buddies and I visited Red Palace on 1/31/25. The dining room was pretty dark, so we couldn't see what we were cooking. The service was absolutely terrible, and the meat quality was just as bad. Our server was rude and dismissive the entire time. When we asked for two plates of brisket, she told us we had to finish the first one first. But then she never even brought out the second plate! It wasn't just an oversight; she actively ignored our request. Also our server was wearing a mask, but it was very visible that she was unhappy to serve us. Every time we requested something, even after saying please, she was visibly upset and gave us attitude. The rest of the experience wasn't any better. The meat was low quality and chewy. For a place that calls itself a Korean BBQ restaurant, the food and service were a huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the money or the frustration. I will never be coming back.
