I've been to Red Star twice now and both times were consistent in food quality and service. Both times I sat in the bar area which is open with two TVs. The drinks are good and they have a large (displayed) selection of liquor to satisfy any drink combination. I ordered the 12oz ribeye, boneless on top of mashed potatoes and sauté kale. The steak certainly wasn't the best I've ever had but it was cooked the way I requested, medium rare, and had great marbling that melted in your mouth. I really enjoyed it.
If you are staying downtown and want somewhere to relax, have a great drink, and a good meal, go here.
