Absolutely amazing, worth the drive! The staff is incredible; very helpful. Every time I go, they feel like great friends. Clear out a space in your pantry, it’s tons of fun to make their recipes. I love the teas and extracts but they have much more!

Google
This is a good find of the city. They offer teas, oils, fresh spices & herbs, cooking classes and so much more! Walking into the store you instantly smell the fantastic aromas. We personally enjoyed picking out the avocado garlic oil and bought a spout top for it. Jerk Chicken seasoning was recommended someone we know who loves cooking for large groups/families. Very clean facility. Public restrooms were accessible and freshly cleaned. The staff was frequently helpful to customers and never saw a any problems. Looking forward to learning more online of the cooking classes and other activities that offer.

Fun place to take a class! Well stocked with spices and cooking supplies. Great, knowledgeable staff.

Put this place at the top of your to-do list—you’ve been meaning to go, and it’s time. It’ll level up your cooking game for your next family gathering, dinner party, tailgate, date night, potluck, or crawfish boil. They craft unique spice blends and carry a jaw-dropping range of single-origin spices. It’s also the only spot in town for serious culinary gadgets and accessories. And don’t sleep on the Teaching Kitchen—small classes of 12 take on full menus in teams, then sit down together for a family-style feast. Whether you're a seasoned home cook or just getting started, this place has everything to spark inspiration and elevate your kitchen game. Go once, and it won’t be your last.

Google
Great local business with excellent customer service. I received a sous vide machine from here as a Christmas gift, but the machine was a lemon and did not work. I took it back to the store and they tried to troubleshoot it themselves, but when they confirmed it wasn't right they ordered me a new one from the manufacturer to replace the dud. I thought that was a very standup practice. New machine is working great. I have also really loved their cooking classes! I'm very happy to support this local business

Google
I wish I had read some of the reviews before my visit. I was very excited to go in & purchase some tea blends & dried herbs. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in, which was red flag #1. No pleasantries were exchanged when I got someone’s attention to help me with the teas. Both of the sales associates who were working were VERY cold to me. I planned on purchasing at least double what I ended up leaving with, but I was ready to end that unpleasant experience. As I was leaving, a customer who was walking in was greeted promptly and warmly, which confirmed some suspicions that I had. Unfortunate, as I was so excited to support a local business. I would rather buy my herbs elsewhere than be mistreated.

Very professional and knowledgeable Lili. She teaches techniques to cooking with calmness and poise. I will tell you there is a lot going on in the kitchen. The class was an excellent activity for team building. You also get to shop for favorite spices, teas, oils, and herbs. The kitchen accessories sold there are nothing but highest quality. I highly recommend Red Stick Spice.

Google
I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. They showed me around the showroom to get me familiar with where the selections were. They have a vast selection of spices, oils, vinegars and teas. I can't wait to use my class gift card! UPDATE: LOVED my class on life changing chicken. Learned knife skills and got to try new recipes.

Yelp
Wow I cannot recommend enough attending a cooking class here. I love to cook and feel like I have pretty good knowledge but I learned a lot in their date night cooking class! It was a blast. Everyone was so nice, it was fun to meet people and enjoy the experience with them. The instructors were awesome! Fun, friendly and informative. The food was phenomenal. We had reverse seared chuck steak with chimichurri, flavorful roasted potatoes, not your average roasted cauliflower, a light and tasty fennel/celery salad and an amazing roasted onion hummus with spicy chickpeas. For dessert I learned to make cream puffs and it was accompanied by an awesome in-house tea. I can't wait to book my next class with more friends. This place is awesome, can't recommend enough. Such a fun date night or friends night out. Heck, something fun to do yourself! Learn a new skill and get a great meal out of it. It comes with a store discount so I racked up before leaving. Big fan.

Yelp
This is my favorite spice shop when I'm in Baton Rouge. The shop is completely different from the last time I was here. It's huge and very well organized. They also give cooking classes which I find interesting. The service is great and they let you sample the different oils or vinegar without hesitation. You can refill your empty bottle at a discount price! I will always come back when I'm in Baton Rouge!

Yelp
A lot of teas to choose from including hot and cold. Staff very helpful with selections. The tea room is super special and a lovely quiet setting if you want to "drink-in". Attended a high tea special and hope they will offer more like this.

Yelp
I get my local honey from here and it's sooo good! I also love that they have a big variety of loose teas. Ever since Teavana closed in the mall, I've been coming to redstick! The girls that work here are helpful and I love the way everything is set up.

Yelp
As soon as you step inside Red Stick Spice Company your nose tells you you are somewhere special. Red Stick spice company offers an almost overwhelming array of spices, spice blends, jams, jellies, custom tea blends, flavor infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Some items are under their own label and some are locally sourced. Attached to the shop is a tea room as well as a space where cooking classes are offered. Additionally items are sold online via their website. The folks behind the counter were friendly and helpful. A great shopping experience. I bought several items but am particularly excited to try my local friend's favorite, the "Fixin' Chicken" spice blend.

Yelp
Super cool place with a ton of things to look at, just enough to satisfy your ADHD. Spiced of all kinds, oils and vinegars, teas and gadgets, plenty of things to go wow about. The teas were all amazing and the service was top notch. The place is super clean and organized. Absolutely love this store and look forward to trying new items.

Yelp
Lovely shop with a great selection of spices and teas. Also great selection of flavored oils and vinegars with a tasting bar so you can try before you buy!

Yelp
I live in Dallas, TX. Have been a customer of Red Stick Spice Co., for several years. Introduced to Red Stick teas by a friend who grew up in Baton Rouge. Today was my first in person visit. It's a must shop when in Baton Rouge, LA. Every member of the staff obviously loves what they do and are more than willing to make suggestions. The teas are the best I've ever tasted. I added to olive oil and balsamic vinegar to my shopping today in addition to more varieties of tea than I may be able to drink. Red Stick Spice Company is worth the trip!!!

Yelp
I finally got a chance to give this cooking class a try. It was my first time and I enjoyed it more than I expected! I would definitely do this cooking class again! Our instructor Ann and Matt was so helpful in teaching and and showing us their knowledge on food. The cooking class consisted of Jerusalem food, which is a first for me; and I was mind blown! What we cooked as a class: 1. Roasted cauliflower with walnut caper salsa. 2. Hummus with lemon Tahini sauce & crispy chickpeas. 3. Parsley & Barley salad with marinated feta. 4. Roast chicken with Jerusalem artichokes and lemon. 5. Spicy freekeh soup with meatballs. 6. Poached pears in white wine & cardamom with whipped mascarpone. #batonrougela

Yelp
All I can is WOW!!! What an amazing store. I'm just flabbergasted, yet excited that such an exotic tea and spice store exists here in Weesiana. The amount of spice and tea blends that you can find in here is literally jaw dropping. If that wasn't enough, there's an entire wall of oils and balsamic vinegars. OMG! I have never seen such an assortment of gourmet food accessories. They also have Louisiana made products! While shopping in store, you can taste products before purchasing any and you know I did lol. So, let me suggest the black balsamic currant and pomegranate balsamic vinegars. They're thick, sweet, not very oily and low on calories. They also have green apple, champagne pear, honey ginger, strawberry and so many more. The spices and loose teas are also worth trying. I bought fermented pu-erh tea, Ethiopian Chicken Rub called Berbere and some salt free spices for all beans but especially for red beans. They do take orders online and I'd suggest you try some of their products. I plan to order more products online. For oils and vinegars, when you bring your bottle in for a refill, you get 20% off. I'm not sure if it works for online orders but give them a try!

Yelp
This place makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I really appreciate the dedication to showcasing local products. Many of them are pricey but not boutique level expensive, so I can actually afford to buy a few things sometimes! Of course the quality will be much higher when I buy here as opposed to a regular store, and I get the happiness of supporting the local economy and all the kind people that work in it. When I checked out they also provided me with free gift wrapping which was much appreciated. They are short staffed but if you are willing to wait they will attend to you very kindly and carefully. I'm really pleased with the new tea section. I got their king cake tea blend in a latte with oat milk and it was perfect! Will definitely go back for a cup.

Yelp
Only hit up Red Stick Spice once in a blue moon, but when I do, I always find more than I planned to buy. ;-) We keep a supply at home of their delicious chocolate balsamic vinaigrette, so I go there to refill the bottle. I only went in the front area, but I found Mama Roos' delicious comfort candies and some locally seasoned pecan packs. I had just bought some Grinning Jupiter jams at the Oasis Farmer's Market; otherwise, I'd have bought those too! I noticed the prices are a little more than buying directly from the vendors but not enough to worry about it. Either way, you're supporting local. I need to figure out what all they're offering here because I got the feeling there was either a cooking class, tasting, or just a cafe in the adjoining room. No clue, but I'll for sure be back! Check it out for yourself too!

Yelp
Great range of cooking products. I really appreciated the heavy duty baking pans in many sizes. Cute little small baking pans to the quite large sheet baking pans. I bought every size. I have been utilizing the pans made in the USA and they are working great. Also purchased spices. Fresh. Planning to go back soon.

Yelp
I'm giving this review 5 stars FOR PRODUCT ONLY at both Red Stick Spice and it's SoGo Tea Bar. Both teas and mixed spices are consistent and of high quality. There's a wide selection in all categories: spices, teas, oils... The website is easy to maneuver and has a ton of usable info. But sheesh! My recent customer service interactions have been really depressing! The selling staffer I dealt with in both the tea and spice areas has been so incredibly unfriendly, unappreciative, gloomy, and snotty. No greeting, no offering any product knowledge. Not friendly at all. I think she may have been practicing for a Mean Girls audition Recent staffers have felt unapproachable. Ive left angry at myself for making a purchase both times. Shopping online with in-store pick-up may be my next option.

Yelp
Always find something amazing at Red Stick Spice Co. from unusual or hard to find items to things I didn't even know I couldn't live without. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable and they always make great recommendations. Red Stick offers house blends of both spices and herb mixes and and don't forget about the house blended loose teas and on site cooking classes. All of these things make Red Stick my favorite place to spend an hour in Baton Rouge.

Yelp
This place is amazing for spices they also have olive oils, teas and accessories for them they also have some cooking classes for a fee you can schedule to take. They probably have at least 100 and maybe more different spices and spice blends. I love they're shawarma seasoning with that and a pound of meat I make a delicious Greek meal. The tikka masala or the vindaloo curry will have you cooking a delicious exotic Indian meal in minutes. The Korean BBQ seasoning is awesome as well. I can't wait to try them all, they have so many choices but I'm thinking the next time I go I'm gonna get the Ethiopian spice it had a lot of delicious spices in it and I'm thinking that'd make some delicious chicken or actually anything. I haven't tried any of their Teas or olive oils yet because when I get in there surrounded by all those spices I'm like a kid in a candy store.

Yelp
I discovered this gem a month or so ago and I'm hooked! I go weekly and get different teas and spices to try. Zanab always greets me with a smile and is so helpful.

Yelp
I love different olive oils and spices. Trying new ones makes me so excited. When I first learned about here I was pumped! Having a place I can go in store (or shop online) that is locally owned to buy spices and different oils is awesome. They have a wide array of spices, rubs, oils, etc. I get so excited about this place, and truly can't wait to get more of their items. They are unique, and awesome. I also recommend trying their spices for dipping oils.

Yelp
This place smells so divine. I love all the different spices, olive and avocado oil choices. There is such a cast of options and the staff are so helpful with questions. Their cooking classes are great, I had some ideas for a sushi class as well as a taco class possibly in the near future. It would be so much fun to get a group of people to come to the classes. I went to the sauerkraut class which was loads of fun. I mostly come to red stick though for the cultured guru kim chi and sauerkraut, which is so amazing tasting in salads, eggs, meat dishes etc. Just a wonderful side for additional flavor. And red stick also has a great restaurant next door called MJs cafe which must try It is a local vegan restaurant but do not let that deter you if you are not vegan.

Yelp
The grocery store doesn't always have what you need but they do I love this store I was looking for a specific spice(smoked paprika) and the young lady pointed me right to it they have prepackaged spices you can get or you can buy containers and fill them up and they are reusable perfect for saving the earth! If you are looking for a choice for a quick meal with spices blends from every ethnic group and an oil station. When you walk around the other side they have teas also it's a one-stop-shop and I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has every spice imaginable. Be prepared because the aroma is overpowering upon entering. Insane blends of teas, different oils, and any spice imaginable. You can have cups of tea made there for $2 or buy it to steep on your own. Plenty of blends for anything you can think of. Go by and check them out. If you're from Louisiana, you'll appreciate them.

Yelp
I had never been to this store but came to purchase a variety of spices and local cooking ingredients for a Louisiana flavor themed wedding gift for one of my best friends who lives in Houston and misses her flavors from home. I kind of never wanted to leave because it smelled so nice in there. They have every blend of spice you can imagine. Slices for meats, spices for seafood, spices for vegetables! About 10 or 12 different blends of sugar - we got her lavender sugar and she plans in making scones with it. About 30 different salt blends, which is more than I knew existed and I was just amazed by how creative some of the flavoring were. They even had spice packages inspired by different Baton Rouge neighborhoods! From a large selection of olive oil blends we chose the garlic olive oil. The store also offered packaged bean soups, packaged rum cakes, an assortment of loose teas, and an assortment of kitchenware. This is the PERFECT place to put a gift bag together for anyone who enjoys food and cooking or has moved away and is missing home. Prices vary. Some of the spice packaged were less than $4, but then one of the teas I picked up was $22. So just be careful and keep track of what's in your basket. The experience and the goods are totally worth it in my opinion. They must have a loyal following because it's just a small store but they were very busy for a Sunday morning. The staff was super nice, attentive, and knowledgeable too. And Yelp gave me 20% off my first purchase for checking in! I love this community so much

Yelp
This is a review for their COOKING CLASSES! What a treat in the local area, y'all!! They offer affordable cooking classes that vary in demonstrations monthly! https://www.redstickspice.com/collections/cooking-classes The owner Anne, & staff are simply wonderful! They took their time to explain and suggest the best spices, teas, oils, & additions to use when cooking that give your dish the extra pizzaz! Everything was very well organized & structured. We were able to hands on cook as well as take home all prepared dishes! This is a great gift to impress others, or a nice treat to improve your own personal culinary skills!!!

Yelp
This place is a chefs paradise ! Not too mention tea lovers they have all different types of teas even the blooming teas. They have all types of spices even ones that I have never heard of! You buy the spices by the ounce which isn't bad at all. In the back they have a olive oil bar where you can sample their different types of homemade olive oils . They hold cooking classes as well if you are interested in learning to cook. If you live anywhere near Baton Rouge then you need to check them out ! I'm not kidding it's a candy store for adults . Are you tired of cooking the same old things go to Red Stick and get some new spices or sign up for one of their many cooking classes!

Yelp
The selection and service were great. I was visiting from Dallas and had lots of fun at this store.

Yelp
Baton Rouge has been needing this for years. Hard to find spice, tea, olive oils and vinegars and more. The cooking demonstrations are excellent also. Just attended one with jay decote. Was great and used lots of products from red stick spice.

Yelp
"Red Stick Spice has everything nice". My first time to come this place was last month, when I went to pick-up my groceries that I ordered from on-line grocery store IndiePlate. Check out my review on IndiePlate to find out more about them. I was so excited to to walk into Red Stick Spice Co... it is truly a hidden gem. This store is tucked in the same plaza as D'Angelo's, Young Chef's Academy and more. Being that I am a huge supporter of locally-grown businesses, I am very surprised that it took me this long to visit them. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by owner, Anne, who was absolutely delightful! She offered up samples of anything in the store. There was a cute tasting bar with high stools. I was very curious about trying their balsamic vinegar and she offered up the 18-year aged balsamic and the high-quality taste and texture of it reminded me of a very expensive balsamic vinegar I tasted at a restaurant in NYC (that was rationed out - we had to ask for some on our plate and they poured). She gave some very cool info about the aging of balsamic vinegar, which you must ask her, when you come to visit! The price point for the bottle was phenomenal for such excellent quality. Plus, you can get your bottle refilled at a discounted rate! If you buy spices there, they will refill for you as well! The teas are perfection... I loved the loose-leaf green tea I bought. Also bought a pack of dry rub for some meats. I was so excited about my purchase! Plus, when you check-in via your Yelp App, you get a discount as a first-time customer. I had my daughter with me and for those that know her can attest that this kid loves to try everything! Hearing the word "sample" is like music to her ears... she never wants to miss out on samples! Her absolute favorite was sampling the dark chocolate balsamic vinegar and was excited to hear that it can be used as an ice cream topping. We will definitely be back over and over again!! If you love local... you will definitely love this place! The owner here was super impressive... sharp as a samurai sword. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with her and would love to pick her brain about more things culinary upon my return! Excellent customer service here, too! * Teas * Balsamic Vinegar * Spice * Oils * Teaware * Gifts * And so much more!!

Yelp
I think it is important to note (for posterity purposes, of course) that I started going here back in 2009 when they first opened. They were the only store that carried asafetida, which I needed for a curry recipe a friend of mine gave me. I've been a loyal customer ever since, and am so glad to see that the shop has expanding and continuing to do well after all these years. Now, for the bulk of my review! You cannot help but be overwhelmed by the delicious, wonderful smells of RSSC as soon as you walk in the door. They carry everything! And I do mean EVERYTHING. They have dried herbs and spices from seemingly every corner of the globe (e.g. Indian, African, Mediterranean, Middle Easter, Chinese, Jamaican, etc), a huge variety of rubs, plus several different types of oils, vinegars, and specialty salts. There's even a wall devoted to loose lea teas in the back. All of the stuff is exceedingly fresh as it is stored (and beautifully displayed, I might add) in air tight containers. Speaking of containers, if you bring your own container than they sell you their products at a discounted rate :-) Finally, just FYI, RSSC is the ONLY place I TRUST to buy saffron from. In short, if you like to cook then run - do not walk - to the Red Stick Spice Company right now!!

Yelp
Everybody should check this place out. If you're a chef, amateur cook or someone just looking to spice up his or her life, don't miss out. They have individual herbs and spices, spice blends, loose teas, various salts, olive oils, extracts and other ingredients. When you walk in you are greeted with a diverse pallet of aromas. They have a bar where you can sample the products, get your purchases measured out or have your tea brewed. The staff was nice and helpful. I wish there was a place like this in Lafayette. We will be returning.

Yelp
Walked in and was immediately surrounded by the most delicious smells. The variety of spices and availability of unknowns is astounding. I picked up several packets of spices for my family and friends and some tea. They have cute teas like "Groom's Cake" and "Wedding Cake" which I think is perfect for the newly engaged to relax as they contemplate their dream weddings. The staff is absolutely sweethearts and the store has high quality balsamic vinegars, olive oils, and more. And they SHIP! Which I'm so thankful for! I'm excited to get home and try cooking with these spices! If you're in Baton Rouge, this is the place to pick up spices for your friends. You don't have to be a culinary extraordinaire like me, they put the grunt work out of it all!

Yelp
This review is overdue! It was my intention to write after my first visit a couple weeks ago. Red Stick Spice is truly a gem and foodie paradise. I am so sad it has taken me so long to patronize, but I have visited three times over the past couple of weeks. The service is absolutely phenomenal. There is nothing that warms my heart more than employees that love their jobs and are customer centric. Each time I visit, even if they are super busy, I am greeted and treated with gratitude and appreciation. They also patiently assist and make recommendations without being pushy. I have referred five people over the past week because of the stellar customer service I have received. Cameron has assisted me twice and he is awesome! I love the homemade jams, infused olive oils and loose teas. So many amazing options and gift ideas. They also provide complimentary gift wrapping and do it with a smile. I'm in love with this place and can't wait to return for more gifts. Kudos Red Stick Spice!

Yelp
This place is definitely worthy of more than former 3 star review. I have since been back plenty of times and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The garlic infused avocado oil is out of this world. I frequent this place very often for their high qualiy piri piri powder. Yesterday, I went back to buy a bunch of spice mixes for a loved one. The service is great and knowledgable. When you try their oils, you dont feel pressured to buy afterwards. Great place. Great variety. Great service.

Yelp
It took running out of salt to make it in here, but I finally did. And, boy, am I impressed. This place has it all, and what is not available in the store is available on their website. Hubby and I walked in and were immediately greeted. We were given a little mini-tour of how the products were organized. Baking items and jellies in one corner, spices against the wall, salt-free blends, teas, and oils. We were welcomed to open up and smell anything we wished. The labeling explained what each spice was and gave suggestions as to how each spice should be used. Prices (per ounce) were stickered on to the back of each jar (most of them, anyway). All items were sold bulk-style (or loose leaf, for teas) so we could order custom quantities. We browsed the spices and teas eventually made it to the rows of salts. If memory serves me correctly, there were about 24-30 salts/salt blends to choose from. They also sell salt slabs. After much discussion, sniffing, and a few tastes, we opted for two ounces of our frequently used Himalayan Pink Sea Salt and an ounce of Durango Hickory Smoked Sea Salt. The total came to just over $9. I could have done a lot of damage in that shop, but Hubby made sure I kept my wits... but that meant not stepping foot toward the oils (next time, Hubby stays home :). They also had a lot of great gift items and box sets. I am pretty stoked to have visited just in time for the holidays. I will be frequenting this little gem often!!

Yelp
I have been meaning to make it in for months, but there was always something that managed to get in the way (usually timing). However, I finally made it in, and I was very happy that I did. I got to meet the owner, Ann, who was very friendly and explained that everything in the shop is organic. You can find all kinds of things, and since almost everything is "bulk", it works out cheaper than buying it at a grocery store. For example, the Garam Masala was about a 1/3 of what I paid at Winn Dixie. They also have LOTS of seasoning mixes. I mean to make it in to try a few more of their things. I ended up grabbing a bottle of the vanilla extract. With my savings from the check in offer, I only paid about $6 -- which isn't bad for a bottle of it's size. While I haven't had a chance to use it yet, I can say that it smells wonderful. I should also mention that if you are curious about something, they are willing to set up a tasting. Oh, and before I forget, they have a decent selection of loose leaf teas.

Yelp
Coolest freaking food store I've ever been too, with a spice collection rivaling a Turkish bazaar, plus all sorts of exotic salts, blends, peppercorns, teas, herbs for making your own tea blends, specialty olive oils, vinegars, extracts... Prices are reasonable too. Plenty of really good gifts for anyone who likes to get creative in the kitchen. If I ever strike it rich, I want a pantry in my house that looks like this place.

Yelp
Perfect shop in Baton Rouge offering some of the most unique products I've seen in a while! I walked in and didn't know where to look first. There were flavored sea salts in front of me, shelves of spices to my left, oils and vinegars to my right, teas at the back and many things in between! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable and encouraged me to smell and taste my way through the store. At the back of the store they have a tasting bar set up for you to try their infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars. When I stopped in, they also had samples of a peach balsamic cole slaw with cabbage and green onion as well as fresh apples with honeyed ricotta cheese and pomegranate balsamic drizzle. OMG. Both samples were fresh and tasty. In addition, I also tried the fig balsamic, rosemary olive oil, and jalapeño olive oil. I ended up leaving with all three as well as some Venetian spice blend and roasted garlic sea salt. Very glad to see that they ship their products all over the country!

This is a really cool store even if you don't know how to cook. I was kind of hesitant to even go look around because I don't cook (I usually pop stuff in the microwave) but I'm glad I went. There are so many cool things in this store besides tons of spices and extracts. In fact I ended up buying some Pomegranate Vinegar(that they let me taste beforehand) so I can mix it with Olive Oil and make my own Pomegranate Vinaigrette. They also have all kinds of cool gifts like mugs, umbrellas, t shirts, salt grinders and lots of other stuff. The employees are so nice and helpful and they will help you with any recipes or cooking questions you might have. I also bought an ounce of the Happy Tea and it was really good. If you bring the glass bottle back or your own container when you want to buy Vinegar, Olive Oil or Tea you get 10% off. That's a pretty cool deal. I'm definitely bringing my empty bottle when I'm done with my Pomegranate Vinegar because it's so delicious I know I'm gonna be going back for a refill.

Yelp
*This is the holy grail of spices* Never-will-I-ever-again buy the cheap little plastic spices at the grocery store. Here's why: 1. You can literally find just about any spice you need in this store, regardless of the complexities of your cooking methods. With one exception, they do not have fresh spices. 2. The owner is a cook and she apparently pays a great deal of attention to detail. Her spices here are extremely varied and organized alphabetically, save for some of the more unique spices and collections they have to offer. 3. There's a great deal of knowledge that comes along with spices, and the employees are great resource to use if your not sure about incorporating them into your kitchen ingredients. 4. They have an area located in the back where they will be happy to show you and let you taste some of their amazing products that they package and distribute themselves. 5. You can actually bring in your own container and they will refill it for a 10% off discount of the full price that applies to your specific containers capacity. 6. Its local! GO HERE! P.S. Autumn and Brittney were very helpful and funny as well!

Yelp
This place is amazing, definitely the go to shop if you like to cook. I use to buy all my spices from the grocery store; thinking that all flavors were the same when it came to spices. Boy was I wrong. They don't only offer your basic spices, granulated garlic, sea salt, pepper corns, ect, they offer elevated versions plus so much more. When you walk in the door you are greeted by a wall that has to be about 7 feet tall with bulk spices in air tight jars. There are tables with various spice related kitchen tools, jars, shakers, muddlers. They have racks of bagged spices that are just a few ounces for the main stream spices, however you have the option to get any spice they sell in 3 different size jars that of course vary in price. There is a wall of teas near the back, and it appeared that they brew tea in house, although I didn't ask. The final wall had various olive oils and infused olive oils, and there was a tiny shelf with local honeys and jellies as well. I hope they hang around for a long time because I will no longer be buying my spices from the grocery store!

Yelp
This place is wonderful! I can sip tea while I pick up teas, spices for my cooking and make a date night with cooking lessons all at the same time! Now lessons haven't begun just yet, but I'm looking forward to a different type of outing!!

Yelp
One word... Magical. That is what best describes the Red Stick Spice Company. Every time I'm there I get transported to far away wonderful places like India, the Pacific Northwest, etc. if you can not find it there, you will not find in anywhere else in Baton Rouge. Spices, rubs, salts, salad dressings, olive oils, etc. I was there for a YELP Event and the ladies prepared some amazing treat to try. Love the baked salmon with the mango rub, it was cooked to perfection. Everyone at the store was very polite and helpful. This is definitely a must visit place if you are a foodie. Great location on Jefferson and they also have a second location downtown on main and third, site of the Saturday morning Red Stick Farmers Market. Can not wait until next visit.

Yelp
Red Stick Spice Company is a locally owned business that specializes in spices, spice blends, salts, olive oils, balsamics, loose leaf teas, etc. The owner is very knowledgeable and guides you through what can be a very overwhelming and intimidating process (picking out spices, salts, teas, etc.). The store is well organized and inviting. Their spice blends are fabulous and they offer a 10% discount on refills of their olive oils. Also, if you're in the market for a great gift, they do fabulous gift baskets.

Yelp
I picked up some of their spices at the farmers market not too long ago. As well as some flavored olive oil. All of which are extremely tasty. The business owners strike me as good people and they will help you in anyway shape or form.

Yelp
So I'm kind of in love with this place. Seriously every spice you can think of is in this shop !! & I love to cook so it's kind of perfect! They sell local products too which is one of my favorite things about them. I will try to buy most of my spices from here. The inside is very neat & cute. The people that work there are very helpful.

Yelp
If you have trouble focusing, I wouldn't suggest going to Red Stick Spice Company. This locally owned business has such an array of spice selections that you could easily spend an hour trying to choose what you want to purchase! They have many hard to find spices, are very reasonably priced, and the staff has been very helpful and friendly every time I've been in. Besides spices, they have a great selection of oils and teas. If you love to cook, this place is a must stop location. Try picking up the pre--packaged spice blends.

Yelp
We always see them at the Red Stick Farmer's market but this is our first visit to the store. The staff is very helpful and offers recommendations. I was very impressed with their selection of tea. We purchased two flavors and aren't disappointed. Excited to go back and grab some spices.

Yelp
When we wanted to make sure our gift bags for the out of town wedding guests had a down home flavor, we added MiMi's Pralines, Zapp's Cajun Crawtators and went to Red Stick Spice Company for individual packets of their Meaux Betta Blend. The wonderful proprietors really took care of us. They personalized the stickers on the packets and even tied a sage green bit of raffia flare on it. As the packets went home to Germany, Kenya, California, Texas, DC and Boston I bet the baggage smelled great.
