"Chef Uno Immanivong serves up Asian street food at an affordable price, with dishes inspired by her childhood in Thailand. Try a banh mi sandwich with beef or shrimp or drunken noodles for $13. Mix-and-match bowls start at #42 and can be made with steamed duck fat rice, buttered garlic noodles, Chinese barbecue pork, and teriyaki chicken, among numerous other options. And they are quite large." - Courtney E. Smith

"Chef Uno Immanivong has officially debuted the Dallas location of her much-anticipated, fast-casual eatery Red Stix Asian Street Food. A post to the restaurant’s Facebook page indicates that it opened at 6501 Hillcrest Avenue on Saturday, December 21. The original Red Stix Asian Street Food opened inside sprawling Plano food hall Legacy Hall in 2017 before departing this year as Immanivong planned to open two standalone locations of the restaurant — the Hillcrest restaurant, and another that’s set to open soon at Mustang Station at Farmers Branch. As far as the food is concerned, look forward to Immanivong’s take on a variety of Asian street foods, ranging from Vietnamese banh mi to noodle bowls and grilled yakitori skewers. There’s also a solid menu of starters and snacks that are all priced at around $5, including waffle fries showered with togarashi and served with sriracha ketchup and chicken dumplings served with ponzu." - Amy McCarthy
"After closing up shop at Plano’s Legacy Hall in the spring, chef Uno Immanivong is just about ready to open Red Stix’s new incarnation at 6501 Hillcrest Avenue in University Park. The Asian street food restaurant’s Facebook page reads: 'We’re getting close to opening day! Right now we’re thinking it’ll be the first week of October, but stay tuned!' Immanivong spoke with the Dallas Observer about her time off, and what’s new for Red Stix, including super spicy “Damn Damn” noodles with chiles, Szechuan chili oil and sambal." - Adele Chapin
