This place has excellent options for Middle Eastern food as well as groceries and produce. They keep their prices reasonable and always have something new as well as bulk bins in order to grab candies and other goodies. The staff is always stocking up fresh produce. There is a small Deli area as well as a hot food area if you want to eat inside. The food is delicious!

Check your receipt before you pay. I got charged for things I did not buy and only noticed after leaving the store. I’m not confrontational so I did not go back to get the difference. I thought it was a just one time mistake, but regrettably it happened again. I don’t think it was a mistake, but intentional :/ I might go back because it is convenient, but planning on making a scene if they do it again, which I think they will.

Google
I love this store. Always great prices on dates and they have really good middle eastern-style bread. Also, I love the Mediterranean Grill Restaurant they have on the side. Still the best bang for your buck if you want good Mediterranean food.

Google
It's so overpacked and dirty. Check the expiration before you leave. The isles are filled with expired goods. Looks like the owner just cares about making a quick buck and not the health of their customers. Who knows what kind of health violations are behind the scenes.

Google
I’m sadly not local, but I went in yesterday on a whim and was so impressed! They have perfectly ripe nectarines in May—I didn’t know that was possible! Great inventory and fantastic prices. Wish I lived closer!

Google
This place is just filthy. They have decent selection, but they need to upgrade the inside of the store. Even the cashier area needs major over hauling, especially the Arabic coffee section.

Google
Find deals on imported extra virgin olive oil (2.8 liters) and dates. Fresh Halal chicken, beef, lamb, goat, etc... Mediterranean food, and items, fresh herbs and vegetables, imported rice, spices and seasonings, spreads, yogurt, olives, feta cheese, halal lunch meat, baklava, pita bread, nuts, dried fruit, etc... . I like that you can order take-out while you shop. Tip: Buy lamb shoulder on sale, and ask the butchers to cut it into lamb chops. Awesome store!

Google
Love the veg and fruit varieties. Meats are fresh! Competitive prices. Go early in the day for fresher stock. Mediterranean confiments, esp. Dates are a good buy.

Yelp
The prices are unbeatable. Quality of produce is great, not sure what other reviews are complaining about. I've had nothing but positive experiences every time I come here. The aisles are tight, I will admit. If you have a cart and going through the aisle, you better not try to turn around. Especially with someone else behind you, it's impossible. Service is great and fast. Lines get long but they process customers very quickly. Ambiance is great as well. The music they play is traditional Arabic music and it's nice to feel at home while I'm shopping. Overall, 100/10. I'm a repeat customer.

Yelp
Unbeatable price for a reason, their produce selection is great but be very careful on the amount you buy. They're cheap but they don't store well, you must be able to finish before day three or they get moldy, refrigerate or not. Even their sweet potatoes will rot it's crazy. Their cashiers are usually very good at keeping the line moving even when it gets long

Yelp
Always nice to get meat and produce for Red Tomatoes. Selections is good and seems to be great quality. Butchers in the back are nice and friendly and provide sound recommendations. Overall clean and good place

Yelp
Small grocery store that carries all kinds of middle eastern, Mediterranean, Indian food, spices, and home products. There's a good amount of inexpensive produce, particularly lettuce, tomatoes, herbs, cauliflower, eggplant, green onions. Occasionally the fruits aren't very fresh, but for the most part they're decent. I've purchased their seasoned raw ground meat to grill. They are pretty tasty. Be forewarned though, that some of the products that are displayed outside their store or near their check out are deeply discounted due to past Best Buy date. It doesn't mean it's expired, just not guaranteed at its peak quality I.e. bags of chips, cookies or drinks. Just keep that in mind IF you're one to swear by dates. Make sure you check on the dates of the products. Cashier/clerks have always been very friendly.

Yelp
#14 for 2023 This is a great local market that has incredible prices. Some times the prices are ridiculous. And some times the rarely seen produce are so nice. It's in the same center as Sea of Sweet and Thippawan Thai. I like to go to Sea of Sweet get a little bite maybe then some coffee before heading over. It is a true hidden gem carrying some fruits you rarely see anywhere else like champagne grapes and concord grapes. It's difficult to find watercress but they have it most of the time. There's a wider variety of bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, plums, pears, peaches, mango. All are reasonably priced. There are special deals that happen every now and then too. Once plastic tubs mix greens were .99 cents then the next week went down to .50 cents. Or baskets of strawberries for .99 cents. Because you never know what will be in I make a stop if I'm going by just to see what they have that I can take advantage of. There seems to be always something. They do sell meats and other treats. The raw honey are better priced. Same with some of their cookies and sweets. Nice pots and pans. You can get halal meats that are fresh. It's not where I shop for meats but they do look good. Service is some what nice. It's like their as nice as they feel they need to be but not welcoming. However, I don't get a bad feeling. I'm okay with it if they're offering those kinds of prices and products.

Yelp
The cafe inside serves delicious halal food. Try the kafta kabob sandwich! Service is quick and friendly. Premises is very clean

Yelp
Red Tomatoes Farmers Market is a family owned ethnic Middle Eastern store with large variety of grocery items that cater to Arabic, Indian, Pakistani, Armenian, and American cooking. There is a meat section with fresh meats also have Hala meats .They also have a Mediterranean grill which serves hot food. It smell great when I walked in but I will try the grill next time. I just grabbed what I needed to make a delicious salad. I cannot believe I paid 10$ for all this. Great prices friendly staff. The line wait was a little long but it moved ok. Check them out

Yelp
5 Stars - Hidden Gem for Mediterranean Food & Groceries Red Tomatoes Farmers Market is a true hidden gem in Rancho Cucamonga. I would have never known about this place if my friend, who lives nearby, hadn't put me on. It's a Mediterranean halal market stocked with all the imported Middle Eastern, Indian, and Mediterranean goods you could ever want--spices, specialty ingredients, and marinated meats ready for grilling. But the real star here? The café. If you're looking for super authentic Mediterranean food, this is the spot. Their beef kabobs and kefta kabobs are next level--perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. And let's talk about their hummus. Oh. My. God. It's ridiculously smooth, topped with fresh olive oil and chopped parsley, and served with their freshly baked flatbread--made in a stone-fired oven and slightly whole wheat in color. It's perfection. Their rotisserie chicken is another must-try, served over flavor-packed basmati rice with red onions and fresh lemon. Same with the kabobs--everything comes on a beautiful bed of rice, and the flavors are unreal. If you want to recreate the experience at home, the market side has you covered. They sell fresh meats, marinated kebabs, lamb, and all the traditional spices you'd need to cook up an amazing Mediterranean meal. But honestly? I come for the café. Every. Single. Time. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. This place is so, so good.

Yelp
Shopping at this grocery store was not just disappointing--it was traumatizing. From the moment you walk in, you're met with cold stares and icy attitudes. You feel completley UNSAFE and UNWELCOME. With the exception of the kind workers at the meat and deli counter (the only decent people in the place), the rest of the staff make you feel like you're a burden just for existing. But what happened during my most recent visit crossed every line of professionalism and basic human decency. A worker falsely assumed I was taking pictures of her--which I was not. I was stunned and confused, but before I could even process what was happening, three employees began to verbally attack me, yelling accusations in front of everyone, even after explaining that I did not take any pictures and showed my dad who saw my camera roll and defended me to them. They continued to escalate, as if humiliating a customer over a completely baseless assumption was part of their job description. I've never been treated with such hostility in a public place. I left the store shaken, embarrassed, and honestly in disbelief. No apology. No accountability. Just aggression and complete disregard for the truth. This is not just bad customer service--it's harassment. Avoid this store if you value your peace, your dignity, or just want to be treated like a human being.

Yelp
I have ordered from red Tomatoes farmers market multiple times all for catering, work lunches or parties. The restaurant/counter is located inside of an older more worn grocery store. I cannot speak of the ambience for dining in since I only have gotten catered takeout orders. Let's get to the food. It is extremely consistent and in my opinion high-quality Mediterranean food. It is an easy place for me to order for my department because of the vegetarians and meat lovers both have something to eat. The group/catering menu comes with everything you need to have a great meal just order for how many people are going to attend your meeting/event. This restaurant is very timely with getting the food at the requested pick up time. I would highly recommend them for any catering needs anyone has.

Yelp
Red Tomatoes Farmers Market is a grocery store for Halal, Mediterranean food, fruits, and vegetables. They feature fresh produce, halal meat and Mediterranean food. A large variety of fruits and vegetables and a wide selection of spices from different parts of the world are available here. The inside of this place is somewhat clean and kind of organized. The ambience of this place is soothing and always gives a middle eastern vibe. They are not the cheapest, but they have decent prices and are well worth the visit for a routine grocery shopping. There's also a Mediterranean restaurant inside of Farmers Market which is known as Red Tomatoes Mediterranean Grill. They serve Falafel, Shawarma, Kebabs, Rotisserie Chicken, and other Mediterranean as well as Arabic food. Their food is good, but the price is high. In fact, it's a bit expensive. Their overall service is appreciable.

Yelp
I'm so sad. What happened to the entrees? Where's the rice? The rice was my most favorite part! This used to be a 5 star. I always stopped by every time I went to Fontana. This time they only had sandwich options. IF I wanted a plate, was like double the price of the sandwich, but only deconstructed, and comes with hummus and salad. THERES NO LAMB dishes, just the lamb/beef shawarma. I should of just walked away. Saved my $18. I won't be back unless they bring the entrees back! As for the market, still the same! Always get the pita bread !

John R.

Yelp
Went to the restaurant here the rotisserie meat looked old and from previous day but my wife like the lamb, the women said it was both lamb beef. Got home and it was very salty and over spicy.

Matthew W.

Yelp
This place has excellent prices on food and produce. They also carry items you won't find in most grocery stores. If you were looking for great mint leaves to make Mojitos or cocktails this is your place. They also have an excellent selection of fresh produce. The meat department is just ok. What is really great about this place is the little known restaurant inside. In my opinion, it is the best Middle Eastern food in the city. I highly recommend ordering the family tray. The food is absolutely delicious and very fair priced. Sometimes the line to get out when you pay is a little bit slow but other than that, this is a good place to shop for specific items that you might need.

Abby Z.

Yelp
They sell food already expired.... Be careful ppl,,, This so so bad,, I don't trust this place any more
google avatar

Marisa T.

Yelp
Great prices & friendly service. I definitely want to return & try the food they make here.
google avatar

Danny C.

Yelp
This is a small Middle Eastern market (think of this place as the Middle Eastern version of Trader Joes) located on the corner of the shopping plaza. They have some of the freshest produce around town at decent prices. The service I receive here has always been great.
google avatar

Robbie M.

Yelp
Amazingggg prices for produce! Every time I go in there, I'm FLOORED by how cheap something is (ie. container of berries for 50c). The risk is that it's usually going to go bad soon. I've learned after just a few times there that I can't let that produce sit in my fridge/counter for long because it goes bad.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Rancho. Yes the place could use some esthetic upgrade, it looks really dated but the hot food and groceries are good and affordable. I always get several pounds of the chicken kebab mix to store at home. It's a great quick and easy weekday dinner. From the food stand, the sandwiches are affordable about $8 a sandwich. It is quite filling. The Keenan paste are generally economical. Give this local business a try

Jessica Brea I.

Yelp
The grocery store itself is fine. This poor review is regarding the "restaurant." The experience trying to eat at the table was a failure, after paying we were told the dining area was unexpectedly closed during normal dining hours. When we asked that they make an exception there was no help to be found, seems there was no experienced manager on duty. To start, the kebob at the Arabic store was not an Arabic kebob although we a had asked to confirm before ordering. To make things worse, when we started eating in our car we realized the meat had been burnt and the toppings (hummus and other liquids) tasted spoiled. Genuinely the worst food I've eaten in a long time. Between the very bad food and poor customer service we will likely not return even to the store.

Yelp
Driving by, decides to take a look. At first walk in, it was not too clean. They did have a lot to choose from as far as grocery items. At the time, I did notice the B rating on the window, for those interested. In all fairness, I did not make a purchase. The pricing as far as the meat section, was reasonable though. My rating is purely based on my first impressions, looks, cleanliness, and store layout. This is a good establishment. So to each their own. My choice was made..time to move on

Kaivan M.

Yelp
The kabob meat it's has been changed since last year and every time I go buy some I'm hoping it's going back to normal like before , but yesterday I got some that everyone at home was complaining about it . This is not the same taste and same quality. We will not ship at this store anymore unfortunately we take our business somewhere else .
google avatar

Yelp
We can get all Indian vegetables here at a very reasonable price. Jackfruit is very tasty.
google avatar

Sultan A.

Yelp
their food is really great their service is really great and everyone that works there is really nice but if anything guys go there you guys should get the food cuz it'll taste really good.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga for Mediterranean food the Shawarma place the Hummus is amazing. The Falafel is amazing. I recommend this place? Highly for Falafel and Humus place in Rancho Cucamonga?

Yelp
They have fast food it's really good it takes like 20 min but they make it fresh. They have good meats and vegetables and fruits

Maggie S.

Yelp
Most times I find what I need Many items a lot higher Don't visit as much as years past For Mediterranien herbs. Good choice

Jackie N.

Yelp
The female employee who seems to be a manager & a male employee were making fun & making racist remarks about Asian people. They were both ringing up or checking out Asian females & the female employee manager who started the conversation were saying Asian people need to start speaking English or learn how to because it's American & they're in it & how they can't understand what they're saying. I was in line with my dad & over heard the conversation & they saw us too & when we got up to the male cashier they looked at each other & laughed because they knew what they were talking about us

Joanna G.

Yelp
The food is very good. As is the service. Prices are lower than the grocery stores. Worth a trip.
google avatar

Hashim M.

Yelp
For the Rancho/Fontana area, they have halal meat that is mostly fresh. Nothing to complain about with the staff, produce, restaurant. My only concern is the cleanliness of the place, it is not that clean and a regular cleanup would be nice to encourage a clean shopping environment.
google avatar

Melinda M.

Yelp
The price of milk, yogurt, spices, and pantry items is not the best, but their prices for fresh produce are AMAZING. Cheaper than Aldi, Sam's Club, and Winco. The first time I went here, they were selling 6oz containers of blackberries and blueberries for only 50 CENTS. So good!

C J.

Yelp
This is by far the worst market. The food in the grocery market is always expired. They have expired products on the shelf, and when you go back to question it don't care. I don't know how this is in business
google avatar

Mandi V.

Yelp
Crowded but have everything you need. Very patient and nice. They have everything you need as far as middle eastern food
google avatar

Charlie C.

Yelp
Definitely a hit or miss market . I'll go here if I'm desperate and don't have time to go somewhere else . Now for cheese ..yogurt etc .. it's good ( not a big selection ) ... They have spices .. nuts .. dried fruit and all that".. Now if you want to get the produce .. honestly I went a total of 3x to this store and it wasn't fresh at all .. and if you do bring it home you must consume soon . .. it's either old .. it taste bad .. or it Goes bad so so so quick .. I haven't tried the deli or the hot plates ( I heard the falafel is amazing ).

Yelp
I come from time to time to buy food products in the meat department, excellent service, a large variety of meat and poultry products, the department staff is kind

Duri H.

Yelp
I love this little farmers market! Produce: All vegetables and fruits always look fresh and the pricing is unbelievably low. Meat: They offer Halal meat. Every time I come here, I get their pre-seasoned beef lula kebab. I do flavor it a bit more with spices at home before cooking it but it's pretty good just as is. Groceries and Snacks: That have all the normal goodies, but they also have all kinds of Arabic and Desi goodies. Bread: They carry so many different kinds of Mediterranean breads. Yes, they always have the basic pita bread in stock. Restaurant: Reasonably priced, great tasting and made fresh to order Mediterranean food. I always take dinner to go when I stop by for groceries. Note that the restaurant (located inside the market) closes at 7:00 pm, and the store closes at 8:00 pm daily. The isles are a bit cramped and navigating a cart ( I think you have to pay a quarter for it to be released?) can be challenging at times. I just use a hand basket and get a free arm workout while shopping.
google avatar

Joyce G.

Yelp
They had a huge selection of great looking vegetables, fruit, breads, you name it! It was pretty dark in the store. I couldn't wait to get out because the employees were not just stern looking, but I said hello and smiled at everyone I met in the store, but not even one word or even a pleasant look. Even the cash register people were unfriendly. When I said thank you to the cashier person who checked me out, she turned her head away. I won't be back to that store and I know how it feels to be shunned. Just a tiny taste, obviously, but it was enough for me.
google avatar

DJ J.

Yelp
Love this place, has great assortment of vegetables, spices, yogurt/dairy, meats and fresh breads. The restaurant is also very good.

Yvonne A.

Yelp
Delicious hummus with freshly baked bread Yummy Visit and treat yourself Delicious candies

Joey H.

Yelp
Best prices for produce. Hummus is really good. Always have multiple staff working so you can do quick shopping. Very polite. We do a lot of stir fry and Curry so this has become our go to for great service.

Jason W.

Yelp
Customer service is severly lacking. Mean looking faces on the cash register workers. Did not say one word at the time of purchase except the price of the groceries. Had a look on their face like we were a sworn enemy. Wash the produce unless you want gnats taking over your home., gnat eggs are on them.
google avatar

Daniel J.

Yelp
This place is a great find! My first go to is the café, as the Shawerma is out of this world. The plate will cost you between $13-$15 depending on what meats you get. I'm a big eater, and almost could not finish the amount of food loaded into my container: hummus, salad, pita ,tomatoes, rice. My other favorite stop in the market is produce department. The value and quality is out of this world. I would also suggest stopping at the meat department. and the butchers will be happy to cut/slice the meat to your liking. You will not be disappointed on your next trip to Red Tomatoes Market.
google avatar

Jared F.

Yelp
Food was really good. Very authentic and super filling. the garlic paste was fire, I got the beef shawarma plate and loved it!
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
This review is for the BUTCHER SECTIONAL ONLY I have literally never met a more rude bunch of butchers. Genuinely shocking how rude, short, and callous they are. We get major anxiety ordering meat bc of how mean they are for absolutely no reason at all. They act like they hate their jobs and hate their lives which is fine - but the least you could do is treat their customers like human beings.
google avatar

Mahia Z.

Yelp
Score! Finally found a middle eastern / Arab grocery store near me! I was a little taken a back when I first walked in because there is just so much stuff and the lighting is very dim. I definitely think they need a larger location since the aisles are really narrow and there are grocery items everywhere. I honestly didn't know where the store started. I am super pleased that they had fresh produce, halal meat and fresh (and different varieties) of pita and lavash. This is for sure my new grocery store for my produce and middle eastern needs.

Jhon W.

Yelp
been shopping here for years. since its a halal place never thaught they would sell something bad. but I was wrong. please everyone check the expiration date on their products before shopping. most of their items (can foods) are expired and literally you can tell they play with the dates if you are expert. Attention owner. please stop being cheap buying junks for dirt price. this community is trusting you and feeding you for years. how could you handle this community in hereafter
google avatar

Daryl I.

Yelp
The first time I came here was shortly after the Covid lockdowns happened. Most of the major grocery stores were really short on produce, but this store was able to keep a lot of items in stock at a really good price! I was also able to try their restaurant and the food was really really good. Definitely worth a visit, even if it is crowded.
google avatar

Yelp
As a culturally and traditionally raised Palestinian, good Middle Eastern food is hard to come by. But Red Tomatoes cooks up some delicious, real, authentic Middle Eastern food. Eating at this market has the same vibes as eating street tacos. And that's how you know it's legit. It ain't about establishing a bougie atmosphere, it's about creating dank ass food. Of everything on their menu, there shawarma is the best, and probably the best shawarma in all of Southern California. It's so good, my family and I would drive 30 mins out of our way to satisfy our shawarma cravings. Aside from the shawarma, the falafel is the best falafel I've ever had outside of my own family's falafel. I mean, I was astonished biting into the falafel here. The tandoori bread is also a must order since it's freshly made right in front of your eyes -- and made in the traditional way. And the hummus is also good. And the shatta is phenomenal. If I could handle the spiciness, I'd be drinking it. It has such good flavor. Other then the food, this market has pretty much all of the Middle Eastern necessities, and that's how you know it's authentic.
google avatar

Ali Z.

Yelp
I picked up a Gopi Mali from Red Tomato, which was supposed to cost $3. When I got home and checked my receipt, they charged me instead for Gopi Ghee, which was $8.49. Red Tomato needs to fix their inventory system so customers don't get charged more for the wrong items.
