The Brentwood Country Mart is quite the high end scene. Despite the fast casual eateries, the clientele is noticeably affluent, and skinny white girls with designer purses abound. I saw the ultimate example as I chowed down on my rotisserie from Reddi Chick - Agyness Deyn, in the flesh.
I'd been to Reddi Chick once years ago, and was happy to come back as I remembered the chicken being pretty delicious. The place is no more than a take-out stand, with seating provided by the Country Mart. The staff is friendly and the line moves quick.
I ordered the chicken and ribs basket, which came with a heaping side of fries. I regretted ordering the ribs. These were not good ribs. They were tough and dry and I didn't even finish one. I would have done better to stick with chicken, as the chicken was quite tasty. The dark meat was especially good, moist and very fatty. The white meat was a little bit dry at parts and the barbecue sauce was key. The fries were delicious, well-seasoned with crispy outsides.
Between the chicken and fries, I had a good lunch, but I don't think this place is anything special. I've had better chicken and better fries, and the ribs were some of the worst I've ever tasted. I would come back with friends if we were looking for a quick bite in the area, but that's about it. Still, dark meat chicken and golden fries are a winning combination, and I can't say I didn't enjoy them.
