"Regal Seafood is known among the Chinese food cognoscenti as the place for quality dim sum. Offered all day from 10:30 a.m. to close, Regal features show-stopping shu mai steamed in a square wooden bamboo steamer and topped with bright orange tobiko, har gow in ginseng broth, crispy shrimp balls, and Beijing duck carved tableside. Hidden gems include steamed honey char siu bao, baked custard buns, and the double-layered milk pudding. Be sure to bring your own alcoholic beverage of choice. Regal is BYOB, with a corkage fee." - Minh Truong, Mai Pham

"Heads will turn for this one: The long-necked custom Peking duck carving table was always impressive, but with the introduction of what’s being called “Fire Duck,” it has literally become this Cantonese restaurant’s hottest dish. Call ahead to order, and revel in the experience as the restaurant dims the lights, wheels the duck to the table, then sets the entire bird on fire with a mixture of tequila and Cointreau. Served with a choice of pancakes or bao buns and traditional accompaniments, the fiery dish has become so popular that the owner is now offering Blue Mountain Flaming Oysters — Oregon oysters steamed, topped with an orange peel, then set aflame at the table with a mix of Kahlua and vodka." - Mai Pham

Over the span of a month, I visited this restaurant thrice. The establishment offers an inviting atmosphere, ideal for engaging in meaningful conversations with friends. The service has been consistently excellent, with attentive staff who promptly cater to diners' needs. The dim sum portions are generous. On one visit, a vegetarian friend joined us, and she absolutely loved the Pumpkin in Salty Egg Yolk—so much so that I forgot to take a photo! Another vegetable dish (pictured) was also delicious, though I don’t recall the name. Notably, the owner mentioned that for vegetarian patrons, the chef is willing to prepare special dishes if customers bring their own tofu. Last night, I ordered clams for dinner, but after a short wait, the manager informed us they were no longer fresh and wouldn’t be served. I appreciated their honesty and instead ordered double lobster with noodles. It was delicious, though they only had one lobster left—likely due to limited inventory for Sunday dinner. Overall, a great spot with good food, excellent service, and a commitment to quality!

We got quite a few recommendation for this restaurant. We came here to try few dishes. They were all very good. The A/C is little bit too cold and the flush in men’s bathroom were out of order. We reported to the owner and manager, they promised to fix them soon. We will come back in two weeks and I will update with more pictures and their room temperature & restroom’s condition.

"The food was okay—nothing great, nothing terrible. Stir-fried dishes were quite pricey, while the dim sum was reasonably priced but tasted average. The restaurant's decor was nice, but the counter was cluttered with too many items, which took away from the overall ambiance. The restroom was not clean."

Regal Seafood is one of our family’s go-to dinner spots. The Peking duck is our favorite — always flavorful and perfectly cooked. We tried the Maggi beef this time, and the kids loved it! Service is always top notch. Highly recommend!

Above and beyond, the only way to describe Regal Seafood! The service is spectacular. We happened to go at a time that was a bit slower, and all of the staff were attentive to our needs. Funny story, my mom opened the cap to the teapot to let the tea cool faster, and four staff came up to us one after the other thinking we needed a refill. That's how good the service was! The food was delectable. From the plating to the taste, nothing can be nitpicked. I specifically went during dim sum, but their dishes in general, you can't go wrong with anything you order. The owner was super personable and came to chat at our table about his approach to food, and I gained so much more respect for the business after the conversation. Each dish is hard work, especially to do it the right way! Noting 30+ years of experience, the owner truly cares about quality and preserving that traditional taste! I was bummed to see them downsize to this new location, which is a bit farther from me than their old location, but I am willing to make the drive just to try everything on their menu and will happily bring my friends/family here for gatherings because I know that the quality is a guarantee.

First time trying out at the new location. It definitely smaller but cozy. Price seems cheaper than before. Our server Oliver was very friendly and attentive. We ordered live fish, lobsters, baked oysters(served individually), salted eggs kombucha pumpkin, deep fried capelin fish, water spinach and seafood maw soup. Every dish was super tasty! I believe here is the same chef from previous location.

We came here Saturday to Troy something new and we loved every second of being here. We received to tier service from the manager and staff all around. The only thing my mom and I recommend is coming as a family due to the big portions therefore y’all could share.

I went to this establishment and they are RACIST! If you are not of their decent they ignore you, they do not greet you, and they are very rude when they do attend to you. I walked in this establishment at watch each server look at me in the eye and turn around to do something else like mess with paper. I had to literally yell and get their attention to even attend to me. And my food been ready to pickup and when the man went and got my food, I had my hand out for him to hand it to me and he placed it on a stack of paper as if he didn’t want to give it to me directly. Mind you, I’ve watched them hang everyone else their order. Total disrespect and they should be put on blast for how they treat people who are not like them.

Yelp
Have tried this place twice. The first time I went here was for dim sum but they were closing early that weekend for a private evening event so we placed our dim sum order to go. Not sure if my experience is representative of their usual dim sum service, but the dim sum to-go was a 3 at best. The food we ordered was our usual dim sum staples (steamed shrimp & pork dumplings, steam shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, pork ribs with black bean sauce, scalded beef tripe) and a few other items. The dumplings didn't have much flavor. The pork ribs were a little tough. The chicken feet were probably the only saving grace from our meal Not sure if they were pre-occupied with their upcoming event but they also omitted two items from our order, so that added to the negative dim sum experience. On another occasion, we came here for dinner (on a non-event night) and the place was not very crowded considering it was a weekend evening. This second time was a dine-in experience and it was much better. We had the peking duck as our main dish and the presentation was phenomenal. They put on an exciting roasted duck fire show prior to the typical table side carving display done at most restaurants. One whole duck was a good portion for our group of 4. Half of it was served with your choice of rice "lotus buns" or wheat pancakes along with the usual accoutrements (scallions and hoisin sauce). The other half is shredded and sautéed with chopped veggies, which is then served in lettuce wraps. There's lots of parking here and it's pretty easy to find. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant is decent sized, probably 15-20 tables. The space is pretty clean.

Yelp
The dim sum is probably the best sit down one in Southwest Houston. New Palace is too inconsistent for me to recommend. The flavor of the dim sum reminds me of the dim sum restaurants back in San Francisco. Definitely come with people that you want to chat with for a long time. I think they only have 1 steamer so it takes awhile for all the food to come out.

Yelp
Looking for a great dim sum spot and you don't want to drive out to Chinatown? Then Regal has got you covered. This place used to be located along 59 but they have since moved further down south to highway 6. Known for their dim sum, peking duck, and seafood, I think this is kind of a hidden gem. Their dim sum is incredibly tasty with a bit of a twist to some of the classics. Add in good service and this llace is a win on my list. They have the classics for dim sum: har gow, sui mai, turnip cakes, pig blood, chicken feet and these are all delicous. Some of the standouts were: Taro balls: when these came out, I thought they looked fairly standard but not very crunchy. Boy was I wrong. Not only did they have an excellent crunch, the inside was filled with taro and scallop instead of the more typical taro and ground pork. The scallop juices infused into the taro paste and I dare say, one of the tastiest things I have ever tried. Pineaplle bun with liquid-dy egg yolk: that's not the official name but you get the idea. Incredibly soft bun, not too sweet, and the yolk was runny. Perfection! I need to come back during dinner to try their other dishes.

Yelp
Dim sum is way better than their regular menu. Chinese broccoli (5/5) I love how they stir fry steam it with minced garlic making this dish more flavorful. Steam roll shrimp (5/5) - I love how soft the flour is Spare ribs (4/5) Tripe ginger (4/5) Shu Mai (5/5) Shrimp dumplings (5/5) Friend shrimp dumplings (5/5) Taro cake (4/5) Overall, dim sum here is so good. A little pricey than other place but the portion are bigger.

Yelp
See food. Seafood. Went for a birthday dinner on a Saturday with a 6 pm reservation (2 large tables - about 20 people). The staff was super friendly and it was a nice experience. My only "ugh" is the menu online doesn't reflect price increases. And that's what we used when comparing restaurants. Online the whole Peking duck is $47.99 but updated in restaurant to $59.99 and we had 2 of everything. They also charged for steam rice even though we had a 10+ course meal. Dinner consisted of: Winter melon soup - nice, subtle Peking duck - comes with a show, Peking duck is crispy and nice, they use the wraps Crabs - I love crabs but so much work but seasoning was nice Lobster - we had 2 lobster dishes made differently, both also had glass noodles which only made it even better Hainanese chicken - good, nice sauce, chicken was very tender Spicy squid with fried - squid had a light batter and a hint of spice, very good Fried flounder - fish was nicely maid with vegetables, very soft and tasty Crab fried rice - good, real crab included Shrimp ball with Chinese broccoli - so very delicious, one of my favorites HK style sweet and sour pork ribs - nicely flavored, not over sweet or sour, nice mix Tofu, vegetable pot - it wasn't my thing Japanese pumpkin - lightly fried, I actually liked it, reminded me of sweet potato Leftover duck wraps - this was deliciously made as well Overall, the food was really nice. Some things I liked more than others but it was delicious enough that there was barely any leftovers. It is a definite must go to spot esp if you live in Sugarland or are looking for something close to Chinatown that is tasty.

Yelp
The dim sum here is insanely good. Dim sum is served all day, food is flawless, service is a step above other Asian restaurants, and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. Regal is wifey material. Kim Son can suck it. Tim Ho Wan and Fung's just aren't worth the ridiculous wait. I said what I said. Come fight me. Their shumai mai is perfection - plump, well-seasoned, and topped with real fish eggs. All of their steamed or fried shrimp-stuffed dim sum options are excellent - har gow, shrimp egg rolls, fried shrimp dumplings, birds nest shrimp, crab shrimp ball. They're like a Chinese Bubba Gump, except they didn't die in the war. Their congee isn't my favorite in Houston, but it's tasty and cheap. Aside from dim sum, they have a ton of fancy dishes - I've seen a live king crab that will try to stab you at your own table, and a Peking duck spectacle where they set the duck on fire with the lights off. It's a ton of fun, and sure to impress everyone from the Chinese emperor to your judgmental Asian in-laws. For dessert, make sure to order their salted egg bun, a steamed bun that gushes with the most delicious egg lava I've ever encountered. I've seen lots of mixed reviews for Regal, and honestly, I don't mind if they continue being understated and unappreciated. I haven't had one bad experience. You dim sum, you lose some *ba dum tsh* That just means more dim sum for me.

Yelp
We love Regal! My mom is Cantonese and this is her favorite Chinese restaurant. We come here once a month and the wait staff and manager are always so nice and friendly. The food is always yummy and fresh. It's a true gem of a place. You know you're in a good Chinese restaurant when everyone is speaking Chinese (employees and guests)!

Crysta B.

Yelp
Yummy food! Good dim sum in Sugar Land. Tried this place out randomly and I was surprise with all the food. Unfortunately they ran out of green beans that day but the worker suggested this pumpkin dish and it was delicious.

Joanna S.

Yelp
Located in a small plaza in the heart of Sugar Land! Parking is absolutely horrible on the weekends during lunch time. We had to park at canes and Arby's and walk a bit but definitely worth it and will be visiting again! Btw - probably need to speak either mandarin or Cantonese as I think most of the workers speak very little English. We got a bunch of dim sum dishes and 3 non dim sum plates (spicy chili chicken, beef noodles, & green beans w/ meat). The portion size was good and all the dishes we had were delicious! One downside was that the spicy chili chicken was a bit on the dry side but the flavor was there. This place is a seafood house - so probably best to just order seafood and dim sum!! We will definitely be coming back again! We had ok service but we did come at 12:30 on a Saturday for lunch and every table was packed and seated. Waiter did come multiple times to serve the food but did not bring water or give us soy sauce/chili sauce until asked. But what can you expect at a authentic Asian restaurant... service is always 3/5 but the food was 4/5!! Giving 5 stars because being able to get some good dim sum in sugar land instead of driving to Chinatown is nice.

Maggie G.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! Very good Chinese food in town , especially seafood! Restaurant design simple and clean, nice place to eat with friends and family!

Sarah C.

Yelp
The food at regal was a 4/5. They have dimsum all day so that's a plus! The prices are pretty outrageous ($22 for pan-fried noodles) but I guess you're paying for the convenience rather than driving to Chinatown. I probably won't dine in again as the restrooms were disgusting and I saw a cook come out of the kitchen without a shirt on. That can't be sanitary. I liked the food so we will probably order takeout sometime soon.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place for a weekend dim sum. We went out looking for dim sum and decided to give this place a try as an alternative to the mainstays in Asiatown. Unfortunately, we chose wrongly as Regal ended up being a major disappointment. Things got off to a horrible start when it became obvious that the front of the house was not managed very well with people waiting a long time despite many large tables still being unseated. People watched in shock asnother just walked in and proceeded to sit down at the open tables without waiting for anyone to greet them while others had been clearly waiting awhile. They severely lacked smaller tables and were clearly trying to save the mostly larger tables for larger groups coming in. We ended up teaming with strangers to make ourselves a larger party just so we could sit down eventually. Once we finally sat, it became obvious the kitchen seemed to be in the weeds as we sat and waited for orders to be taken and food to be served. Other tables all sat around waiting awhile for food to be served as well. This was sadly not the well piled dim sum machine that you see often at other places in Asiatown. Instead, this seemed more like a small restaurant in over its head during a dim sum Sunday rush. Once the food finally came out in large time gaps, we were greatly underwhelmed by the food. The shrimp har gow was super thick yet falling apart. The bbq pork buns were insanely too sweet. The noodles were overly greasy. Everything was unfortunately slow and underwhelming. Our table partners say that this place is ok on a normal day, but on this particular day everything from the front of the house to the food was less than average. By the time we got our checks and boxed up our leftovers, we were headed home disappointed in what we had hoped would be a good meal. Next time, we'll stick to the more established dim sum places.

Yelp
Regal is your typical Chinese restaurant. Large interior with spacious seatings. Lots of tables for big parties. There is lots of great food here. Once of their specialty is Hong Kong style peaking duck. They also do this cool table side experience that adds to the experience of dining at this restaurant. They do table side roasted duck with fire. This restaurant crests a unique and memorable experience. Most of the time restaurants put out the dishes by it self, but here at regal on certain dish that taste better when it's warm, it is elevated on a platform with heat underneath it. They also have many dishes that are unique to this restaurant. Such as the preserved vegetable with pork hock. It is a very traditional Hong long dish which provides lots of flavor and tender pork. With that being said, there was lot of dishes that we ate today with lots of sauce. The waiter kindly brought us more rice when we went low. In addition, we were celebrating a milestone birthday of 95 and they even provided us with some coconut jelly at the end. Overall me and my party had a great time celebrating this amazing day with regal.

Brittney T.

Yelp
Ah yes, what a gem. They used to be located of 59 near Gringos, but for some reason it never took off. Now they're located in a small location near Canes on hwy6. It seems like they have a good following and loyal customers. We came in for Sunday dim sum! There was a small wait, but we didn't mind. All their dishes we had were so good! So flavorful and fresh. Been looking for a solid dim sum spot since fungs has been closed. We also ordered the whole Peking Duck. They carve it tableside - the juices were literally dripping. They take the leftovers and make it into a lettuce wrap stir fry! I like this better versus the soup that other restaurants do. Will def be coming back

Hieu V.

Yelp
I tried their dim sum a few weeks back and I didn't enjoy it. Their Dim sum is no thing special, very bland and not flavorful. However, today I ordered dinner take here and it was quite tasty! Highly recommend the salted egg yolk fried tofu!

Doan Chinh L.

Yelp
I ordered this dim sum BBQ dish and it came with 90% fat. I don't recommend this place.

Ashok G.

Yelp
Tables open but would not seat a party of 3. Poor customer service. I can't speak for the food.

Sassy W.

Yelp
We came here for dim sum on a Sunday morning around 11:30am. At first the host told us we would have to wait (he didn't know how long) because we were a party of only 3 adults and the 4 tables he had available seated 7+ people. I decided to look at other nearby options (Jade Garden and Kim Son), and as we were discussing the other options the host decided to seat us. The service was generally fine - we were able to order, receive our food, and pay the bill without too long of a wait. When we asked for tea, water, and a knife to cut the larger items, everything was brought to us promptly. The food was a disappointment compared to when this restaurant was at its former location. The soup dumplings looked as if they had been sitting out for a while after having been cooked, their wrappers were hard, and they contained no soup. When I asked a server whether those were actually the soup dumplings, she said they were. Then I mentioned that there was no soup in them, and she nodded, looked a little embarrassed, and said that's the way they are here at the restaurant. The shrimp har gow and shrimp rice noodle rolls were both overcooked, resulting in mushy wrappers that disintegrated when we were trying to serve them. The steamed char siu bao buns did not taste fresh, so we each tried a bite but left the rest. When we mentioned this to the host (who seemed to also be the head server), he took them back to the kitchen and removed them from our bill. The baos also didn't have much filling, so overall they were a big disappointment. The food that did meet our expectations were the Chinese broccoli, turnip cakes, and bean curd pork rolls. The Chinese broccoli was topped with fresh garlic in white sauce rather than the usual oyster sauce - I really enjoyed it! It was also a very large serving - we only finished about half of it at the restaurant. The turnip cakes were solid, and nice and crispy on the outside (just like I like them), although they forgot to bring them out until the end so we were pretty full by the time they arrived. The bean curd pork rolls were also delicious, but they were also forgotten until we mentioned it so they came out at the end of the meal and we were already full. The restaurant ambience is functional. The chairs are grand - fancy fabric and tall backs. However, the tables are covered in plastic tablecloths (for dim sum at least), and the lazy Susan turntables look like a fake jade. The tables and chairs are crammed into a fairly small space, and the majority of the tables seat at least 8 people. There are tons of boxes and other detritus in the hallway leading to the restroom, which can be seen from half of the restaurant. The bar is overflowing with takeout containers and a register, which makes it unusable as a bar. There is also a huge machine that looks like an air purifier sitting under part of the bar - it would be helpful if they removed it when it's not in use. The restrooms are terrible - the large roll of toilet paper is placed haphazardly on the handicap handrail, and the roll of paper towels sits on the wet counter of the sink. The hand soap is in a dispenser that was originally for hand sanitizer (so you're not really sure if it's soap or sanitizer until it actually suds). I used to love Regal when it was on Hwy 59 - the food and ambience were so much better. I was so sad to not enjoy our dim sum this morning.

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Visited again! Still excellent, but they did have a few shortcomings -- simply, there are some dishes I love, and then some I don't think they do well here. Pretty much on par for most dim sum places. That being said, never had a crab fried rice dish where they literally steamed a whole crab with the rice. Most delicious rice/food I've ever had the fortune of eating! Their sesame balls are great too, albeit I wish the red bean paste stuck more to their nice pastry shell. However, the majority of the other dishes were mediocre this time, but given that there isn't much wait time and close to home in Sugar Land, I'll definitely be back!

Thomas S.

Yelp
Our party of four visited this neighborhood dim sum and Cantonese food shack in Sugar Land on the recommendation of a close friend. We ordered a variety of standard dim sum plates and a couple of main line Cantonese / Hong Kong dishes. Everything were delicious and the offerings were good sized. I am MSG sensitive, but I didn't get the usual dry mouth, excessive thirst, and headache that I usually get with too much MSG ingestion. Table service was attentive and foods came out fast. Prices were higher than the dim sum shacks in Chinatown. We gladly paid extra to avoid the crazy traffic and driving distance of Chinatown. The shack is located in a small strip shopping center, so parking can be limited.

Kelly S.

Yelp
Worst dining experience EVER. We came in for Father's Day and it was at 60% capacity, the wait time for the food and to get attention from the staff was SO LONG. The staff said it's because there's a lot of to go orders... which should not be the reason why there should be a delay for dine in orders. TERRIBLE dining experience and I would never come here again.

Kasper L.

Yelp
I came here for dinner one evening for my dad's birthday and was kind of disappointed. I really think Houston is one of the places to be for Chinese food and was looking forward to trying this place but left unsatisfied. Maybe we should have come for the dim sum but after my experience with dinner, I'm not so sure. The restaurant interior looks nice and somewhat upscale. It would look pretty great if not for the hanging to-go trays to catch the condensation from the A/C or something. To not sound like a Debbie Downer, I did enjoy some of the food! Maybe I'll come back for dim sum and update this review. Fingers crossed that I like it!

Ada C.

Yelp
This new location in Sugar Land is much smaller than the old (closed) location in Stafford and does not have any private party rooms, which is bad especially during the pandemic. We were planning a family get-together for our baby girl's 2nd birthday but without a private party room at this place, we most likely would have to go somewhere else. Food is the same old, same old decent, but the wait time seriously needs to be improved. We placed a to-go order at 8:10pm on a Sunday for lobsters w/ noodles, shrimp balls, chicken, a fish and tofu stew and a pumpkin and taro stew but had to wait 'til 9:05pm to pick up the order. The fish & tofu stew was pretty delicious; the pumpkin & taro stew is always my favorite. BUT WE WAITED FIFTY-FIVE MINUTES, which was OMG horrible and totally not acceptable! oh no *palm face*

Tommy T.

Yelp
A little disappointed in the lunch food. The waitress gave us the full blown dinner menu and didn't give us the lunch menu which at which everyone else is eating. they put french fries in my fried calamari which was the first for me. are they falling on hard times?

Kristy S.

Yelp
I visited their old location off 59 and now visited their new location off hwy 6. Same menu. Everything was tasty. Favorite dishes are fried ha cao and the fried xo noodles and the shrimp rice paper wraps. Recently we had the fried shrimp ha cao the outside was crispy but the shrimp was raw. We just spat it out but didn't tell the waiter. He automatically noticed the raw shrimp and brought out a fresh new order without us having to ask. Customer service was good. Food came out fast and hot. No wait on Saturday/ Sunday at noon.

Katherine A.

Yelp
The food took over 2 hours to get. The food Was not as good as I remembered from their original location. We ordered some soup but noticed some of the vegetables were bad. We were so disappointed.

William K.

Yelp
They closed the old spot near Stafford and opened up at Sugarland. The new restaurant is a very open concept and makes it feel spacious. I love their authentic Cantonese food. Their seafood is very fresh. I feel like their food got better as they have moved from their previous location. Lobster is so good and very filling, there is so much meat it in. My favorite is fried tofu and I wish they had more in it cause it was so good. The perfect texture of the crispy and soft tofu. The food comes out as it should be and the staffs are very friendly. Tip: become their member to get the discount. Follow me on Instagram @willeatfood

Yelp
This location changed and this new location is great because there's not a Chinese restaurant like this around. We went on the Monday, day after Christmas and food isn't bad here... it was just so short staff. There isn't a system here and it's very evident the kitchen is not organized. We were seated right away, but food didn't start coming out until 1 hour later (after we complain). When dim sum was coming out, it was still cold or not fully cooked on the inside - the shui mai shrimp was raw inside. We couldn't get the staffs attention because there was only two people working. As we sat there waiting, we watched how one of the waiter & waitress bus table then grab plates to make the table, VERY UNSANITARY. Hot water was dump on the table to clean with no spray or anything. I did use the restroom and there was piles of trash at the trash can. I wish I would have taken pictures. It was awful. Do not come. Chinese food and dim sum can be eaten somewhere else like Kim Som Stafford which is about 6 mins away.

Rachel X.

Yelp
Yay we love Regal and so happy a location opened up in Sugar Land! We used to go to there Galleria location all the times. Their dim sum is delicious, and I can't get enough of authentic Chinese food and they are definitely authentic! Other than the normal dim sum you see everywhere, they have traditional Hong Kong styled delicacies, like the crabs and shrimps! The Dungenese crab is expensive but tastes just like what you would get in Hong Kong or Singapore!

Sharon Y.

Yelp
Had another wonderful meal at their new location and tried a few new dishes. All were excellent and can't wait to bring more friends next time especially so close to home. Favorite dish is still maggi beef but every dish was great that we had.

Mai Y.

Yelp
I have only been to this place twice. Once a few years ago at their old location and yesterday was the second time at their new location in Sugar Land. The ambience is nicer, open and bright. The food here is amazing! I loved the braised pork belly over watercress leaves. It melts in your mouth and so flavorful. The fried capelin fish was also delicious! Their fried rice was so good, not oily or greasy. The owner takes much pride in their technique and flavor. Everything was delicious! I will definitely return with more friends and family.

Yelp
Great food and staff! The entrees are family style portions. We'll definitely be back with friends

Yelp
Regal Seafood House & Lounge. This is the worst place I've ever been to. They don't know how to properly host tables. The guy says 15 minute wait just to keep us waiting, it was an hour. Then they skipped calling our numbers with the same number of people we had. Half their menu is unavailable bc they just don't serve it anymore. They ignored us for a good while when we were trying to order (just giving them our piece of paper with our dim sum order). This is absolutely the worst service I've ever gotten. And it's not a huge place. To have to wait over an hour to get our food and having missing items we were charged for. None of the dimsum was very good too. Overcooked, over fried, not good. I do not recommend.

Yelp
This is a great place for family style dinner. We got the huge crab and they cook it in 3 different ways. It was the best crab I've ever tasted. Definitely a place we would visit regularly for special occasions!

Yelp
Had a reservation for CNY and it was evident they overbooked their tables and were catering to all of their Togo orders instead of serving their dine in guests. We waited more than 30 minutes for a table we reserved two weeks in advance, then waited another hour to get our over cooked, tasteless, overpriced meal. Manager was not even on site to oversee the logistics and chaos. Never again. One and done. I rather support a business where my patronage is valued.

Yelp
I loved finding authentic Peking duck here! We are coming back for more. We also enjoyed many dishes Like tofu and green shoots. And then the string beans were excellent. Large dining room was very comfortable.

Yelp
Keep going back for a several years now. One of mom's favorites which is no easy feat. Southern Cantonese food with emphasis on seafood but also has a flaming peking duck.

Yelp
This place does not taste the same from its original location. The staff is unpleasant. My wife decided to try a second time and her dim sum was still cold inside. This is really disappointing knowing what the quality and service was like before.

Yelp
Delicious peking duck and dim sum. The waiter was great, very authentic Chinese food.

Yelp
This place is dirty and the service is horrible. The staff is rude. will not be back.

Yelp
The food is good, but the '1 star' rating is for the trickery they pulled on our bill when it came time to pay. Our server pulled an old trick in the restaurant industry where they subtotal your bill to include the 18% tip and print the signature receipt leaving the tip open hoping the Customer would leave an amount on top of the already-included tip. Of course this is ultimately my fault for falling for this and I can only be so angry with this. Just be aware this is what they are doing with your bill when you dine in. CHECK YOUR ITEMIZED RECEIPTS ALONG WITH THE SUBTOTALS. Don't support this business if they continue to allow this to happen.

Yelp
This place is NOT closed, just not easy to find since there's no noticeable sign, but it's next to Frutti Tutti. Food is ok, not much improvement from their old location, and just as pricey. It bugs me when wait staff hand you the "old" menu with the "old" prices, and when I pointed out on the check, they just gave you some lame excuses. The old waiter also tried to upsell their dishes. I told them I just want the double lobster with ginger and onion, he kept pushing for a different version with noodle that cost 20 bucks more. Last, their AC is either broken or they dont wanna lower the temperature. Freaking hot in there.

Yelp
I have been going to Regal new restaurant ever since it was open. When it was soft opening, it was not quite organized. AC was not working right. Can't hired enough staffs in kitchen. But I keep going back. Why? Because Edmin the owner keep serving us the best non boring Chinese food in Houston. Everytime I go, he always suggest new fresh dishes that is not in the menu. All you need is ask. Edmin is from Toronto. He brought us the best Toronto Chinese Food to Houston. You can also order live King Crab, live quality fish. You just need to pay for the market price.

Yelp
We were excited to check out their new location. It took 45 minutes to get our food. The food was not good, I mean not edible at all. I was shocked at the deterioration. First time I dined at Regal when it opened in Stafford, I thought their food flavors were so good. It was a hit or miss every other time but we continued going there because it's hard to find this type of Chinese seafood. Ultimately, I feel the owner doesn't seem to care to fix the issues. I was optimistic they would get it right this time with the new location. They brought us the wrong food five times today so their kitchen was slow and a mess, and people in the front don't know what food is what. Today, the custard bun was undercooked and runny while dough was clearly sticky and undercooked, donut sticks with flour crepe had hard and old donut sticks and large piece of hair, the Shanghai soup dumplings were completely wrong item (it has weird green onion filling and no soup and tasted expired), the chow fun was cold, hard and greasy with no flavor. These were not edible at all and only after I complained (it did take me 20 minutes to flag someone down), the owner removed them from the bill. We don't usually complain when the food is bad but after waiting so long and with their high prices, I had to say something. The owner was not apologetic for understaffing and making customers wait 45 minutes for food and then serving up wrong and poor quality food, but rather acting like he's doing me a favor. He was not sincere not did he care that he was serving expired food. The other items we ordered were also not good but edible. This was Sunday at noon, they had only two waitstaff and no other helpers of any kind (no Hostess or table bussing people). The waiter was from their old location. Both waiter and waitress were very nice, but just overwhelmed with work. They had to seat people, wait on them, take food to table from kitchen, and buss tables! All tables were full in the restaurant when we left. Most tables there waited for at least 30-40 minutes for food after being seated. I only started paying attention 20 minutes in and noticed all of the tables didn't have food. They were clearly under staffed in front and back. I understand during Covid times, restaurants have struggled. I am sympathetic which is why I don't usually write bad reviews these days. But it's now June 2021 and people are going out to eat again at full force, especially on weekends. Reading the other reviews, I noticed everyone mentioned they were short staffed. That would not deter me from coming again. However, the extreme poor quality of their food today is not acceptable. Their food is pricey. We will not be returning.

Yelp
Authentic Cantonese/Hong Kong food, must try their sweet and sour pork ribs, roast duck, yee mien, and preserved vegetables with pork. Looking forward to trying their crispy pork intestine next time. It's hard to find an authentic HK restaurant like this in TX, so I hope this restaurant will continually thrive in Sugar Land.

Yelp
Would give a 0 star if possible, food sucks and expensive. Waited for 40' for a couple dimsum dish, and it tasted so bad. Would not recommend this place for anyone. Need to improve the food.

Yelp
Regal is back in the game! Went there for dim sum last Fri and again for lunch this week. Both meals were excellent! Food was fresh and flavorful. They are still at soft opening stage w limited menu. Regal FTW!

Luna zhiyue L.

Yelp
The worst customer service I've ever had. We waited for more than 1 hour to be served after we're seated. The fillings of barbecue pork bun were still frozen when they were served. We have been loyal customers for a few years, but after this experience, we will never go back again.

Yelp
The place changed, the quality and quantity have never been changed. All the waiters are men, which make the service speed kinda faster. The food is as great as before. Just no small group reservations on Sunday brunch. First come first serve.
