Where To Eat In Edgewater

"This relaxed Italian spot took over the old Income Tax space, which means Regalia feels more like a bar than a restaurant. But more importantly, the food is really good. The bone-in veal parmigiana is a must-order, and the meatballs with polenta and creamy cacio e pepe are also delicious. This spot is a great choice for a casual dinner date in the neighborhood, or for a solo meal at the bar with a glass of wine." - adrian kane, john ringor

Income Tax Review - Edgewater - Chicago - The Infatuation

"We’re always looking for the kind of restaurant that feels just right. It’s hard to find a place that’s fancy but not too fancy, laid-back but not too casual, upscale but not too expensive, cool but not too trendy. When you do find that Goldilocks spot, you want to hold onto it for dear life. Income Tax, a small, dark restaurant and bar in Edgewater, is a great example. This place serves high-end dishes at not-so-high-end prices, and will leave you feeling pretty damn good about your choices. Income Tax serves small plates from different regions of Europe, as well as an extensive European wine list. The food menu, which would fit in easily at a restaurant downtown, reads sort of like a list of Top Chef contestant greatest hits - it’s a hodgepodge of dishes that don’t have much in common other than the fact that they sound like they require a lot of skill to get right. While it could go terribly wrong, everything is really good. And unlike downtown, you won’t need to convince yourself that the amount of money you’re paying for teensy portions somehow makes sense. It’s all fairly reasonable here. photo credit: Sandy Noto The dishes are divided by size, and you’re going to want a mix of them on the table. From the “Bites” section, get the strangolapreti, ridiculously tasty spinach and ricotta dumplings that manage to be rich and fluffy at the same time. Our favorite appetizer is the flammenkuchen, a German tart with bacon, onion, cheese, and a light and flaky crust. It’s small enough that it could have been cooked in an Easy Bake oven, but this little thing needs to be on the table. The entrees are excellent, too - like carrot agnolotti that are al dente and a little sweet, and topped with veal sweetbreads that add flavor instead of being an unnecessary addition to chef up the plate. As for dessert, the chocolate mousse - served with whipped cream - is what you want to go for. The space at Income Tax is not as refined as the food. Decor is minimal, and there’s not too much in the way of ambience other than dim lighting, but it still feels perfectly pleasant. The service is also pretty casual, so don’t come expecting the kind of experience you might get at a fancy restaurant. But you’re not paying fancy-restaurant prices, and the atmosphere only adds to the charming feeling that you’re getting away with something by eating here. If only things turned out so well for Goldilocks. Food Rundown photo credit: Sandy Noto Stranglopreti We didn’t know what these were going to be like when we ordered them. Turns out they’re little green balls of awesome. They remind us of gnocchi, and the creamy sauce they’re served with is delicious. photo credit: Sandy Noto Flammenkuchen This savory tart is both extremely small and extremely rich. The pastry is perfect, and the cheese filling is smooth and really well balanced. photo credit: Sandy Noto Tortilla Espanola This is basically a vegetable frittata served on a roasted red pepper sauce, and it’s one of the lighter dishes on the menu. It’s a good option if you don’t want to overdo it on the richer small plates. photo credit: Sandy Noto Carrot Agnolotti The carrot-filled agnolotti here have just the right amount of firmness, and are topped with fried sweetbreads. This dish is a great example of how Income Tax’s servings feel appropriate for the price. It isn’t a giant bowl of pasta, but since it’s also not outrageously expensive, you don’t have a WTF feeling when it hits the table. Trout Meuniere This trout is served with roasted sweet corn, and toasted breadcrumbs that give it a great texture photo credit: Sandy Noto Scallops These come with Spanish chorizo and sweet potato, as well as a light, garlicky sauce. We’ve had a lot of pretty “meh” scallops, but these are really good. Chocolate Mousse Silky mousse topped with a sprinkle of sea salt. It’s chocolatey and not too sweet. If you get dessert here, this is what you want." - Adrian Kane

Regalia - Review - Edgewater - Chicago - The Infatuation

"The most important thing to note about this relaxed Italian spot in Edgewater is that the crispy bone-in veal parmigiana slathered in tomato sauce and cheese is a must-order. It’s so good you might lose all composure, toss the silverware, and eat it like a turkey leg. Regalia feels more like a bar than a restaurant, but the low-key atmosphere makes it a great choice for a casual dinner date, or for a solo meal at the bar with a glass of wine. If the idea of consuming a big piece of veal by yourself alone seems like a bit much, there are plenty of smaller options on their menu—like meatballs with a spicy marinara sauce and silky polenta or a creamy cacio e pepe—that are also very good." - John Ringor

Chicago’s Best New Restaurants Of 2017

"When you first try the European small plates from Income Tax - like the flammenkuchen (a savory German tart), or carrot agnolotti - you might forget that you’re in Edgewater, not at a fancy restaurant downtown. If this place were in a trendier area, you’d definitely have to pay at least twice as much for the excellent food (not to mention the parking), but since it’s not, it’s one of the best flavor-for-value deals in town. It’s the ideal neighborhood spot: one with excellent food, but a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that’s just as good for a solo bar meal as it is for a date." - adrian kane

Google
The food, the ambiance, the workers, the owner, the manager, hell even the bathroom! They deserve everything given because it was a magnificent time. They are just delightful people and fun to engage with. Specifically the food is just amazing. Most Italian restaurants put dry, unseasoned chicken on the pasta. But no, not Regalia. It was juicy, tender and packed with flavor. The focaccia bread was always magnificent

Google
Regalia is our absolute favorite Italian restaurant! The food is always beyond delicious — every single dish is outstanding, and the cocktails are just as incredible. The service is top-notch, and the staff always makes us feel welcome. The owner is especially kind and genuinely happy to see us every time — we truly feel like valued regulars. We love this restaurant so much!

It was the best pasta I've had in a long time! The quality of service is incredible. The wines are very nice. The manager is really attentive

Google
Absolutely outstanding dishes and they never disappoint. Today we had veal parmigiana, lobster ravioli, branzino, chocolate lava cake, and pistachio cake all fantastic. And service is amazing. Plus the music they play just got us all into dance spirit. Highly recommend!

Regalia has a special place in my heart. Since it was opened it delivered delicious and amazing dishes that just makes you want come back again and again. The great staff will welcome you and make it a enjoyable environment for you and your family. I would highly recommend to go and see it for yourself.

Google
Just delightful! Recently, I have visited many semi-fine dining Italian restaurants to find my date night place. And this was a wonderful surprise. When you sit, they start you with a delicious focaccia bread and a Canellini bean puré that is truly yummy! I know this is very particular of me, but I like all the restaurants I go to to offer some bread or some thing to nibble on upon seating. I’m usually hungry and it’s a nice touch to offer this as a complimentary item. In fact, for my date night, I rule out places that don’t do something like this. I have had the Cacio E Pepe several times and it is just incredible! My husband has had the lobster ravioli, the gnocchi, and the pesto. All delicious! Right now I am eating a spicy vodka sauce with fettuccine and it is pure heaven! So far, every dish we have had has been delightful and fair priced. It’s about the same price as most of the local Italian restaurants. The cocktails are delicious and about four dollars more affordable than the other local restaurants. The atmosphere is elegant, dim, romantic, but not overstated. It is not very loud and allows for nice conversation. No criticism of the service (I edited a small critique I had made before) . It’s an elegant vibe with a casual tone. And the playlist is fire (as my son would say); new wave hits from the 80s. All in all, give it a shot! I think you will be very happy you did.

Google
We just arrived in Chicago and were looking for a quick dinner and a glass of something delicious. There were beautiful options for our Quick dinner or a sumptuous longer dining experience. Our waitress was sweet and knowledgeable. All around a great experience. We will go back!

Phillip Conley Jr

Google
Extremely authentic Italian experience. The complimentary bread was amazing. The waiter said that the restaurant was a neighborhood staple. I can see his words being true. It was a great hometown meal. The waiter was knowledgeable about the neighborhood and the north side of Chicago, it was a delight.

Yelp
Service was good.. very nice ambiance....that's it. The food was barely olive garden. I ordered the cappelini et pepe which should be a very light parmesan and cracked pepper.... what i got was a white sauce alfredo with no pepper..... the server provided me with salt and pepper shakers .... no fresh pepper grinder..... It was a birthday so I didn't say anything but my portion of the bill was $100 and I got a bland alfredo for dinner. I will not come back.....

Yelp
To start off, we came here for a dinner with 5 in the party. I had made a reservation ahead of time and even got the confirmation email. Upon entering the restaurant to be seated, my friend had mentioned to the host that we had a resy. That was not the most pleasant interaction and her response was accusatory to say the least. When I finally spoke to her, she accused me of not picking up my phone stating that she called me to confirm the reservation. - which I never got. From my experience, even if I missed a call, I usually get a voicemail or a text. Anyway, when I showed her my call history, she calmed down and went from attack to apologetic mode. That definitely left a sour note. To add to the nuisance, she sat us at a table outside that was literally meant for 2 people. We actually had to speak up to have some tables move around for us to accommodate the party size. Now to the food. We ordered the following: - Bottle of wine - Fritto Misto - Beef Carpaccio - Pear and Arugula Salad - Pesto Risotto with Scallops - Rigatoni Vodka - Side of meatballs - Trofie Al Pesto - Veal Parmigiana - Short ribs Overall everything was delicious. The most underwhelming dishes were definitely the veal parmigiana, short ribs and frito misto. The veal was salty, the short ribs were lack luster, and the frito misto was not as crispy as other places where I've ordered it. I personally would've given this place a 7/10, but can't due to Yelp's scoring system. This score was due to poor host service, seating, and some underwhelming dishes.

Yelp
A random evening in Edgewater, and we found ourselves at Regalia for some good Italian food. What a surprise! Although it feels like a bar, with a nice '80s soundtrack blaring overhead, we settled into a comfortable booth and feasted on excellent dishes. First, the softest, tastiest focaccia bread with a smooth white bean and olive oil dip, followed by a deep, tasty bowl of Rigatoni Vodka - perfectly al dente rigatoni in an evenly spice vodka cream tomato sauce. Not only filling, but kept my taste buds happy with every bite. The dish of the evening was probably the special of the day, Lobster Ravioli - perfectly cooked ravioli filled with cheese and lobster bits, including plenty of bites of lobster scattered throughout the plate. Thumbs up for the spatchcocked Roasted Chicken and the Caccio e Pepe as well. But one big problem - no room for dessert! That just means we'll have to come back and not fill up on entrees. Thank you Regalia for a great evening! If you haven't tried Regalia, you're missing out on some great Italian food!

Yelp
This is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to enjoy a great Italian meal. Overall the flavors are always consistent, with fragrant aroma, savory, tasty, and fresh. All the dishes are in simple words outstanding.

Yelp
Wow Regalia should be called Regalo coz it's a real gift to the neighborhood. Great vibe inside, darkly lit, romantic and cool vibe. Food is fantastic. 2nd time here and waited a bit for my reserved table (45 min) but it was fun drinking at their bar and we're not the type to go Karen just coz our table wasn't ready lol. You gotta go before the hoi-poloy discover it!

Reggie A.

Yelp
I have been here several times and never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and very approachable. The food is outstanding. This place is a welcome change from the prior establishment. One thing to note from my most recent visit is that the bar manager Greg is a gem. His drinks are inventive and his knowledge is expansive. I can't wait until my next visit.

Yelp
Dinner this evening was amazing! We were a table of 5, seated near that back by the kitchen. Not sure if it'sthe chef's table or just a table ‍ I got the Queen Bee cocktail to start. What a yummy drink! I loved the rock candy garnish. We went straight to entrees. I got the veal francese, which came with mashed potatoes and spinach. The portion was good and it was delicious! The lemony flavor was perfect. My hubby got the chicken saltimbocca, which he said was really good. We rounded out dinner with the mango crème brûlée and the pistachio cheesecake. Both were good! There's only street parking in the area. For a Saturday evening, we were able to find easy parking

Yelp
Excellent Italian food. We got a little lost in the shuffle for a birthday day celebration.

Yelp
WOW! I had no idea this place existed until tonight, and it's awesome. I met a friend here for an early dinner. Service is exceptional, and I love the ambiance inside: the floral wallpaper is especially awesome. I enjoyed several glasses of an exceptional Pinot noir. To eat, I started with the pear and arugula salad (delicious and amazing presentation), and then enjoyed the spicy rigatoni with sausage, which was fantastic. I savored every bite. Somehow I made room for dessert and had the pistachio gelato, which was wonderful. Truly, nothing was lacking about my experience. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
This is an amazing place in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. This restaurant is right out of New York City. A lively atmosphere of waiters making extra $$ for their real passion, Broadway,

Yelp
Just off the charts. Possibly one of the best meals I've ever enjoyed. I skipped right to the entree, skipping I've the apps, soup and salad. Though the couple we were dining with had had the mushroom soup, which they said was so good they couldn't share. I ordered the Fettuccine Mare Mare; assorted seafood in a tomato white wine sauce. The seafood to pasta was definitely on the seafood's side, all of which was just so perfectly prepared. My wife had one of the day's specials, Lobster Ravioli. Thankfully she shared some; again the lobster to pasta was very generous and delightful. The portions were such that we all skipped the dessert offerings though from what we saw going by our table they were all shareable. Our server, Dylan, was very attentive and entertaining throughout our dinner. The owner, Dejan, made several stops by our table to ensure that all was well.

C S.

Yelp
Ambiance is very cute and the portions are large. Unfortunately, it very much felt like we were being rushed out from the moment we sat down. Our food came out almost suspiciously fast, as well. We had barely started our (stale and visibly burned) complimentary bread before our entrees came out. I also felt sick after eating here. So, overall not a great experience.

Steve G.

Yelp
Could be the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in Chicago. Food tastes truly Italian as opposed to American Italian. Everything delicious.
google avatar

Kathy H.

Yelp
Nice to finally have a Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Service is adequate. Food is pretty good. We especially like the salad with the pears, though we wish they would put more pears in it. It's nice in the summer to be able to sit outside, have a glass of wine And share a dinner with My Husband.

Yelp
Great Italian just south of Loyola Chicago. Great food, great wine and cocktail, amazing service. There was a bline so we ate at the bar. Kyle and Natalia took care of us - it was amazing. The service was over the top. Kyle was super with his recommendations and just general chat. Chicken Saltimbocca was to die for, and the Veal Parm - insane. Highly recommend. (5/13/23). Came back and reserved a table for 12 for our Son's college graduation. It was amazing. Tamara, Kyle, and of course the owner Dejon (apologies for the spelling) made it an unforgettable evening. The food, service and wine were over the top. We cannot recommend Regalia highly enough. On top of just awesome food, the prices were super reasonable - and the chef "wine special" - Caymus!! Was no higher than we would have paid retail + corkage. Killer. We are going here every time we are in Chicago. (New photos below - there is a video as well - we will see if Yelp allows. https://youtube.com/shorts/1Zf8aUL2PBU?feature=share

Yelp
The food here is incredible, and the ambiance is even better. You can tell they take pride in their food, as they should. Read more about my visit on my blog at: https://hcmorgan.squarespace.com/bites-blog/regaling-regalia !

Yelp
This quaint and chic restaurant was the spot I picked for my birthday dinner tonight. We added one person to the reservation less than an hour before we arrived. No problem, they said, we can accommodate. We arrived and were seated in the corner booth by the window. The food is divine and the drinks are delish. BUT the best thing about Regalia was our waiter. It was actually his birthday as well. He was kind, funny, helpful, and honestly one of the best servers I have had in my entire life. We will return and hope he has our table in the future. Great place for a nice, birthday dinner!

Yelp
this is a gem of a bind the Edgewater area. Wonderful Italian food, very nice atmosphere, attentive service, and the quality of the food is exceptional. We have been to this restaurant in number of times and have had the pasta, salad, lamb, but I do need to highly recommend the ribeye. Funny, yes, to recommend a steak at an Italian restaurant, but it needs to be called out because it is incredible!

No problem, they said, we can accommodate. We arrived and were immediately seated in the corner booth by the window. Yelp
Great food! Great atmosphere and our server was amazing! Chicken parm is great, they had a pork chop special that was also great. One of us had the short ribs another had the rigatoni. Everything was incredible!

Doug P.

Yelp
Regalia was an incredible experience! We were blown away with the Fritto Misto and Beef Carpaccio as starters...amazing! We sat at the bar, the restaurant had such a good vibe the entire evening, obviously a popular place. Rigatoni Ragu and Veal Scalopini Marasala are must haves! The handcrafted cocktails are next level, go see Greg at the bar for sure!
google avatar

Danielle A.

Yelp
I love Regalia! I have only been here twice but the food has been great each time. I always get the spicy vodka pasta and the chicken parm. I made a mistake of getting the full chicken parm meal (with pasta) instead of just the chicken parm itself but my friend took the rest home. My spicy vodka pasta was a bit cold and the noodles were not cooked all the way, a bit chewy, so I asked them to cook it a little longer and they happily did so. For the inconvenience they gave me a free slice of their cherry cheesecake. I really appreciated their servers and managers for trying to get things right. We went on a Tuesday and it wasn't very crowded, it is quite dark in there. But I think that is part of the vibe. Will be back!

Yelp
My buddy and I had dinner Saturday night at Ragalia. I can say that from the great Old Fashions that Greg poured, the Tuna Carpaccio, the Double cut stuffed Veal Chops to the Pistachio cheese cake, it was one of the Best meals I've had since the last time I was there. Dijon is one of the most hospitable hosts one could ask for and the food is just incredible.. What a fantastic place, I'll be back soon for sure.. Thanks again for a night we are still talking about...

Ryan L.

Yelp
This place was perfect for dinner! The service was very good and the food was amazing! The focaccia bread was fresh and the tuna carpaccio was a nice appetizer. The main dishes were so good though. We got the salmon and the Rigatoni Ragu Alla Rustico which had a great portion size and tons of flavor. Highly recommend this place

Yelp
This is a very tasteful and cool restaurant that mixes neighborhood gem with destination place. We came about 15 miles to meet some friends and we were delighted. As soon as you walk in, you just feel like things got cooler. The decor is beautiful The service is excellent. I had a Caesar salad, halibut which was a special and asparagus on the side. My wife had a very tasty veal dish. The owner worked for Carmines on Rush for decades, and he brings a wealth of experience to his own operation. The food is rich and flavorful and you will not walk out hungry. I recommend Regalia and we will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled upon this place last night and it was an amazing meal. Wonderful arugula and pear salad. The artichoke appetizer was delightful as was the shrimp and grits. Plus we had an authentic Italian waiter to boot. It was so nice to feel pampered. This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
I'm shocked and confused about why Regalia doesn't have thousands of reviews and five stars. Came in by myself and was sat immediately at the bar (where you can still have full dinner service). I was dismayed when I sat down as I didn't see the rigatoni vodka on the printed menu but I saw it on the website. I was so happy when they said they could accommodate the request. I ordered a split of prosecco and put my order in for the house salad and the rigatoni vodka. Their housemade focaccia and bean dip was sensational. The salad was fresh and not overdressed at all. The rigatoni vodka was next level, I loved every bite, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. I thought I would have leftovers but it was so delicious I finished everything! The staff was friendly and attentive. If I'm ever in town again, I'd stop by just for the rigatoni.

Lori R.

Yelp
Was there last night. Lovely atmosphere with a window table. Service and food was very good. Tomato and burrata salad was the best. House wine was excellent and the owner even comped us a glass of wine which is unheard of in such a classy restaurant.

Yelp
Came here to host visitor from Taiwan. Got a nice booth. Service was super attentive. They served us nice nearly focaccia with a garlicky hummus like dipping thing. It was really good. It was hard to resist. They have a nice wine list. thin on Chardonnay's but who orders a white wine in an Italian restaurant. We had the shrimp with polenta. comes with 5 shrimp in a nice saucy polenta with Parm cheese blended in (?). It was good. not sure I would order again. Two of us had the short rib rags with rigatoni. and two had the branzino that was the fish of the day. The portion sizes were amazing. we had to take most of it home. It was quite good, although some of my pasta was undercooked. Not sure how that happens. This is a great neighborhood place. and the prices are not bad.

Yelp
Had an absolutely spectacular dinner here on a yucky Monday. The bartender was one of the best I've had in a long time (we sit at the bar a lot so plenty to compare it to). He knows the menu inside and out and will give you great recommendations. He also makes an amazing Last Word. If they have gnocchi on the menu, get it!
google avatar

Rick G.

Yelp
We carried out 2 dinners today and both were excellent. Short rib Ragu was great with manicotti, pasta was perfect Al Dente Ragu was meaty and very flavorful all packaged nicely. Ready for a nice picnic nice portions too enough to bring home and a good lunch tomorrow or late night snack tonight. Overall very good food and nice. Ambiance inside this small gem. Nice menu and good prices too. Give regalia a try. You'll be happy you did. I'll definitely be going back to eat in and explore more of the menu. I'm looking forward to the next time we eat there. Excellent service and food here. Get some great food here. You'll be happy you did.

Yelp
Went for Restaurant Week. Had Caesar salad, rigatoni buttera, and tiramisu. All of the portions were big, and all three of them had great flavor. The cream sauce on the pasta was especially good. I will be back, for sure.

Yelp
Love this little spot! Yummy interesting drinks! Pastas fresh and served perfectly cooked and hot! Chicken Parmesan was crispy and full of flavor service was impeccable l- great vibe. Dessert was the only disappointment- We will be back -

Yelp
From the ashes of Income Tax, the restaurant and wine bar that closed in May 2020 comes Regalia from Dejan and executive chef Jose Marquez. This is a cozy restaurant with a familiar menu that exceeds expectations. As you can see by the number of five-star reviews it is catching on and resonating. Regalia has a welcoming atmosphere of a supper club with a well-appointed bar and an eclectic dark interior that was bustling with activity. We were greeted by the owner who put us at a spacious table at the back of the restaurant. It has a good wine list and nine signature cocktails. The salads are great and nicely plated, the risotto dishes are good, and the main courses are hearty. The desserts are also a good selection. The only improvement is that servers do not know how to properly bring plates and place them in front of you. There were a lot of passing plates over people to get to a person which was awkward and distracting. However, it is a solid restaurant, and plan to go back.

Kristina K.

Yelp
My favorite Chicago restaurant! Amazing and fresh fish combined with mediteranin vegetables! Host is the most pleasant guy, we always feel welcomed there. Ambience can't be more romantic. Place with great vibes!

Yelp
Great Italian food, good wine list and nice location. Service was prompt and attentive

Anne Y.

Yelp
Cozy spot with lovely decor and ambiance. Everything was delicious and portions were generous without being ridiculous. My friend and I split the branzino and lobster ravioli. Serious yum!

Chad R.

Yelp
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants that boasts two favorite dishes in Chicago. Love the engaging staff, warm ambiance, perfect cocktails and the top notch food. Home run every visit. It's a staple in our restaurant rotation.

Yelp
We have been here a few times and also gotten carry out. We always have a good time and the food is really good! To start this place is along a major road but you can't hear it inside and it doesn't feel like it's on Broadway. It's Italian food and they do it right! Not much more you need to ask than that.

Yelp
First things first, 5/5 because they bring you bread when you sit down- a key to a good Italian restaurant. The vibe is great and food was delicious. I recommend making a reservation if you want to guarantee getting a table. Food breakdown: -tomato and burrata salad: the cheese was fresh, tomatoes perfectly ripe and they placed the perfect amount of pepper, salt and balsamic glaze. Great start to the meal - cacio e Pepe: creamy, but not to heavy- it was great and the pasta was cooked perfectly -chicken parmigiana: the chicken was crispy, the sauce was perfect and reminded me of sauces I had in Italy (fresh, simple and NOT sweet) and a great ratio to cheese/sauce/chicken. Yummy! Cute spot! Can't wait to come back

Yelp
Food and service were great. Wine list was a nice range from economical to pricey. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
First time at Regalia, this is a great addition to the neighborhood that is lacking in upscale Italian restaurants. We were able to park right in front of the restaurant, granted, it was an early reservation at 5:30pm on a Friday night. The restaurant looked pretty full by 6:15pm. We were greeted warmly and were given the choice of a table or booth. We choose the comfy booth which was spacious and comfortably seated the four of us. Complimentary rustic bread with butter dipping sauce was promptly presented. The old-fashioneds ($13) were tasty and nicely potent adorned with orange peel, cherry and one large square ice cube. For appetizer we had the Fritto Misto Calamari ($17), a nice sized portion for 4 people to have plenty. It came with 2 dipping sauces. We all agreed it was the best calamari we've ever had, nice and tender. For mains, we had the Veal Scalopini Francese ($29), Veal Scalopini alla Pepe Verde ($29), and two of us had the Rigatoni Rustico ($24). Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were ample. Next time we will try the Tiramisu for dessert. They have some outdoor seating but I don't think I'd like to sit out there with all the traffic and noise on Broadway, but it's definitely an option for people to consider.

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner at Regalia! We made reservations fairly easily online the same Friday we went, which I would HIGHLY recommend because the seating options are slim and it could be a long wait if yo choose to just walk in on a weekend night. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the whole atmosphere felt like we were in someone's home. You can tell the owner really prides himself on this restaurant and rightfully so! We had a glass of wine and cocktail to start and I will say their drink selections are pretty robust and reasonably priced! We also got free bread to start that was absolutely to die for. We chose the seafood risotto and short rib over risotto for our entrees and we thought both were delicious. We also got truffle fries to split which were indulgent and perfect. Portions are more than enough for the price and overall if you're looking for a nicer dinner, the price point isn't terrible. We had an amaretto almond ice cream for dessert which was the perfect way to cap off this meal. We're so glad Regalia is in Edgewater and look forward to returning!

Yelp
We had an all around excellent dining experience here last night. From the moment we walked in, when we were welcomed by a super nice and funny host, to the end of the meal cappuccino everything was just about perfect. Our waiter was super friendly, attentive, and helpful with the menu, and even before we ordered cocktails we were greeted with fresh focaccia and a bean spread. Both were delicious, as were the cocktails from the bar. Not the strongest drinks if I'm being honest, but certainly tasty. We started with a burrata which was simple and let the super fresh ingredients do the talking. For entrees our table ordered numerous things off both the printed menu and daily specials; both were excellent but don't sleep on the daily specials! The interior of the space is sleek but charming, and fancy but causal. My only regret is not finding this place sooner! Oh and not saving room for dessert.

Yelp
Every detail about this restaurant is perfect. The food is absolutely delicious. The service is top notch. Great choice for date night or friends gathering. The bar has a fun vibe, and the music playlist is outstanding.
