We were here for dinner, the service was perfect and impeccable. We were served by Diana and she was excellent in her recommendations, regularly checking with us that everything was fine. Super impressed how well trained and happy she was to serve the guests. Not to mention the ambience and finery of the restaurant was incomparable. By the way the food and wine were excellent. check out my other reviews I hardly ever give a five star. will definitely be back.

We had a great experience right from the get-go! The hotel staff were so welcoming and helpful to settle us into our room. Being a pet-friendly hotel, we were glad we brought along our cat who enjoyed his stay too. He received quite a lot of attention from the friendly staff! The common spaces like the lobby, restaurants and pool were of old world luxury which was great, however we just wished the room interior could be refurbished, as it really feels old and brown. Great location too - just next to Tanglin Mall and Botanic Gardens!

Hotel staff is really friendly and helpful! I left out my plug and charger while shooting a wedding work 2 weeks ago, and they helped me to keep it till when I am available to drop by! And during that day, I didn't manage to have my lunch, and the banquet manager is also nice to let me go to a meeting room just to let me finish my food! Very good ambience and nice to hang around as well. Am sure visitors and guest will have a good experience, if that's how they treat "non-guest" :)

Was at the Tea Lounge. Excellent afternoon tea. Loved the goat cheese tart, although i was the only one that did. The rest of the 3 tiers were all tasty as well. The teas which we tried were all so aromatic, it's an experience more for the nose than the mouth. Service was prompt and courteous. All the tables were well separated so the dining experience was excellent as well.

Held my wedding lunch at Royal Pavilion ballroom at Regent Singapore a few days ago. My guests enjoyed the food thoroughly and the service staff were very attentive and polite. Our wedding coordinator Manuela was extremely helpful and tried her best to make things happen no matter what we suggest. She is very professional and service oriented. Whenever we contact her, she responds very promptly even on the weekends. Right up till the day before the wedding, she went above and beyond to help us with last minute changes. We are very thankful and fortunate to have her as our wedding coordinator. Our banquet manager Nathan was very attentive. He helped me get on and off the stage and made sure that I was served food even as so many things were happening at the same time. When I was nervous before the march in, he briefed us and assured me that everything was well taken care of. He was very kind and always there to help all the way till the end of the wedding lunch. I’m glad we chose Regent hotel for the most important day of our life. Thank you Regent!

Big and spacious, relaxing vibe when you enter the hotel. Although the fixtures and design looks old. Service is great. Breakfast selection is good, love the food. Hot chocolate is superb!! And the tables are fairly spread out, relaxing vibe.

Room was clean and spacious (except for 3 outdoor balconies - quite dirty probably due to exposure to the weather elements). Hotel was nice to provide a kid pack for our children with bath bomb, coloring pencil/booklet and snacks. Hotel seem quite understaffed and it shown in their service. E.g. For breakfast service on 2 mornings, no one cleared our plates throughout the breakfast. We can get our own ice water and coffee from the buffet spread but staff seem exasperated when we asked for warm water and tea. No one cleared the table after the guests had left and we notice a long queue outside for table. Breakfast selection is rather limited and no change for 2 days. No staff at poolside. Was stung by a bee in the morning and we waited quite a while before a staff came after calling. Luckily they provide some antiseptic and plasters. Hotel did called in the evening to make sure everything was okay. Thank you and please continue to do so for the safety of your guests. One suggestion, staff are efficient and gets the job done. But somehow, the hospitality is somewhat lacking. My daughter's birthday was during our stay. With the helium balloon she had from her friends, it will be nice if the staff could greet her Happy Birthday - but no one did. From the doorman to the receptionist who had her birthday details, everyone was too focused on their tasks at hand. In comparison, we stayed at a more value for money hotel just a month earlier (and she know the names of most of the staff) and another top hotel last year during her birthday - she was so happy with just those simple greetings. All in all, it's a nice stay with comfortable rooms but lacking in hospitality.

Yelp
My initial impression when walking through the doors was that it doesn't feel like a Conrad. It gave more of an Embassy Suites feel based on the interior design and furniture. Our group had a couple of different rooms under different names and the front desk staff had trouble checking us in. They kept giving out the wrong room numbers and keys to the wrong people and charged the wrong credit cards to the wrong rooms. The whole check in process took about an hour. When we got to the rooms, for my room only 1 of 2 keys worked and for my parents, only 1 of 3 keys worked. The beds were comfortable and they had really effective blackout curtains. There is a set of switches that controls all of the lights and curtains in the room and I appreciated that the controls were next to the bed. The breakfast buffet has a great variety of dishes. The fitness center has a good variety of equipment and the restrooms are connected to the pool and have showers available for guests. Another thing to note is that they don't allow outside food in the executive lounge. One positive side to staying here is that it's very close to the Orchard Boulevard MRT station. While there is room for improvement service wise, it was still an overall decent experience.

Yelp
An amazing five star hotel. The tea looking metal container are actually cookies and are complimentary, you get only one per visit. I almost thought it was tea.

Yelp
One of my favorite high tea spots in town! They really know how to treat you right at the Regent, are conscientious of your personal comfort while dining in, and serve a helluva buffet spread! The last time I visited, I was caught in a torrential downpour and sloshed in like a wet rat. They still warmly greeted and seated me, then presented me with a fresh handtowel to dry off with. I was thoroughly impressed by this extra step of customer service and thoughtfulness! If you're looking for a spot of luxury in your week, stop by on the weekend for a high tea service that is tough to beat!

Yelp
Didn't really do any kind of research on this hotel as it was booked for me as part of a trip for work. So here's my review. My flight arrived in Singapore at 6am local time, check in wasn't until the afternoon, so in order for me to get a a hotel room that early, I needed to buy the night prior. No problem, the company was paying for it, and I can sort of understand why they had to do that. Check in was a breeze, the front counter staff was incredibly polite and got me settled in. Since I came in early, I was able to get breakfast, which was part of my rate. I was given a room on the fourth floor. It was a big room with a king sized bed. No real view to speak of from the room window, but that's ok. Room had a decent sized flat screen TV, a decent desk / work area, and the bathroom was very clean, with plenty of hot water and awesome water pressure. The location of the hotel is near the Orchard road shopping area, and there are TONS of places to shop and the high end ION mall within walking distance. It's also very easy to get a cab at this location. It's also walking distance to the Singapore Botanical Gardens, and while I didn't use it, they are a few subway stations at your disposal too. The only food I ate at the hotel was the breakfast buffet and it was highly westernized food with a few local selections. It was a decent meal to start the day with a lot of selection. One other funny thing...I flew to Singapore from New York (JFK), when I checked in, they asked me where I came in from, and I told them New York...they then proceeded to tell me that I would be happy to know that their main bar, "Manhattan" is considered one of the best bars in the world. So I had to fly from New York to Singapore to go to a Manhattan bar?? Not faulting anyone, but I'm in Singapore to enjoy Singapore, not New York.....the bar was actually very nice though. I heard a few rumors while I was there that the hotel was going to be changing hands shortly and no longer be associated with the Four Seasons. Another group is going to take over the hotel. Frankly, I think that the hotel is very, very nice, but perhaps just a step below what a Four Seasons hotel should be, and it could just be that the hotel is aging and hard to keep up. The one very nice touch was that on my final day, my flight wasn't until almost midnight. They allowed me to check out and they held my bags so I could go enjoy Singapore. When I came back, they got my bags and provided me with a key to the locker room by the pool so I could shower and change for my flight back home. Very nice!!

Yelp
The Regent Hotel is categorized as a 5 Star Hotel. While it's a great hotel it's not quite 5 Star quality but very close. There's one clear problem, the moldy smelling rooms. If they can repaint the rooms or do whatever it is to remove that smell, they'll be 5 stars again. It's a subtle smell but moldy smell is moldy smell. Currently (January 2014), there's also an issue of neighboring construction which was a noise problem. The ideal person for this hotel is someone who likes to walk, and prefers to be in less congested areas of a big city. If you stay here, location wise, you need to know the following regarding getting around: 1. To go shopping, walk out the front doors and walk down Cuscaden and you'll be at Orchard MRT station in 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. 2. To go the Botanic Gardens, you turn left before the main entrance to the side entrance exit and turn left. You'll pass by a closed off alley that goes by the Tanglin Mall. Then, when you hit the streets, turn right and walk down Napier until you reach the Tanglin Gate Entrance to the Botanic Gardens. 3. Cabs are abundant and pretty affordable ($5-$15US) if you need to get anywhere quickly but avoid the black cabs or you'll pay a 25-50% premium. If you're lazy, you have a mall with supermarket, pharmacy, and food court just next door. There's also a Starbucks and even a swim wear store in case you forgot you swim suit and want to try the hotel's pool. The food inside the hotel is typical overpriced hotel food. The gym is pretty good and comes with a very nice steam room, sauna and new workout equipment. There's also complimentary coffee if you wake up very early between 4-6AM. The complimentary coffee is a very nice automatic coffee making machine that can make espresso, regular coffee, and cappuccino. Final, the All of the staff here ARE five stars. Everyone's very friendly, helpful, and professional. Your rooms are always cleaned impeccably. Had no complaints about the service here for the 12 full days I stayed here. If you hate walking, avoid this place. If you like jogging and don't mind a little walking, this place is perfect. Almost forgot: Free wi-fi here for UP TO 2 devices.

Yelp
Overall really enjoyed my stay. One thing that was weird was the elevators. Very slow and I got clipped by one of them. Need to be careful with it. Overall staff made the stay here very special. Thank you

Yelp
7 night stay Executive Suite Room, loved the room! Each room is cleaned and INSPECTED before we were allowed to check in. Room included a balcony outside bedroom and living room. We had lunch in the Basilico restaurant. WOW what a spread, We chose the lunch buffet and loved the hot counter which included pasta, cut meats, soups, brick oven pizza. Center was fresh fruits, salads, seafood, juices, cheeses, and specialty meats. Opposite counter of desserts, fresh breads, and pastries. All high quality food and delicious. We met Andy, Manager of Basilico and most impressed with this restaurant. Andy was so helpful and reserved us table for their sunday brunch with some Singapore friends.Lalaing was our friendly host to seat us, and serviced by our friendliest waitress, Malini. Others that offered wonderful service was Luisa who always greeted us with her smile and humor. Sunday Brunch is the best...do not miss it. Check out the cheese bar. The Chef was preparing fresh ravioli and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet was extravagant, fresh coffee drinks, fresh squeeze juices, pancakes, waffles, french toast , omelets, soup noodles, congee, meats, sausages. One evening, I wanted minestrone soup and the chef walked by and said...no problem and personally made me a bowl As part of our Executive Suite,we also had access to the Executive Lounge on the 11th floor which is a more secluded lounge with complimentary breakfast, snacks, beverages, and concierge service. Provided with newspapers and comfortable sofa and lounge chairs. Often when we wanted a place to relax with a drink and bite to eat we would enjoy the lounge. Christy and Phyllis was our Executive Lounge that assisted us in making dinner and tour reservation. So helpful and we were so grateful, especially during the busy Chinese New Year week. As we waited in the lobby for our friends (that reside in Singapore) for brunch, we were greeted by Assistant Manager, Brandon Chu. So surprised he was from Maui (we are from Oahu). Introduced our visiting friends who also are native of Hawaii. Brandon was wonderful and made sure we were well taken care throughout our 7 night stay. We met Brandon's manager, Yagesh and he also saw all our needs were met during our stay. As we dined at with our friends at Sunday Brunch, our friends introduced us to Brandon, Manager of the world famous Manhattan bar. We were told to try Manhattan's cheesecake. Brandon got us some cheesecake, a must have! In the Lobby, they have a patisserie and coffee service and afternoon tea service. 3 min next door to the hotel is Tanglin Mall which has food court, market, stores, and salon. We took our laundry to Laundry Queen in the Mall, note it takes 3 days for laundry. No same day, can pay for express for 24 hour service. Walking distance from Orchard Road where all the shopping and restaurants are. We took the Hop On Hop Off Bus which is 15 min walk from hotel. Botanical Garden is also walking distance, 20 mins walk. We stayed for 7 nights and was like we knew everyone in the hotel. Loved our maid, Jordan. He was so detailed and made sure the room was always clean, supplied with towels, and tidy. We travel asia and stayed in many 5 star hotels, and Regent Four Seasons went above and beyond to welcome us. In return, we gifted the management with Hawaii chocolate macadamia nut candy. We were pleasantly surprised when we received a tray of desserts at our door! Got a personal email from Peter C. Draminsky, Hotel General Manager thanking us. We had early morning flight and checked out 530am, the hotel surprised us breakfast take out bags! This hotel is 6+ star, not 5 star. High recognition and I think we are now loyal Four Seasons customers. I highly recommend this hotel and thank you for making our Singapore visit so memorable. MAHALO (Thank you ) and Thank you for the friendly ALOHA spirit! You know how to run a hotel. One advice, we stayed during Chinese New Year and many of the businesses and taxi drivers were off.

Yelp
Stayed for three nights. They upgraded me to the executive floor (yah). Big room and very comfy bed. The bathroom are ok but a little dated. Overall great rooms. The internet access is free. Very nice hotel in an attractive part of singapore

Yelp
It is a very nice hotel that I would, however, rate as 4star rather than 5star. To me, it seemed a bit worn out but otherwise the service was really good and so was the food. I really like the location as its close from the major shopping that might be reached within a few minutes of walking.

Tracy L.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel. The staff was far beyond exceptional, the location perfect, the rooms were very comfortable and the DINING.................... fantastic. The breakfast was not extensive but had many options and was quite good. Dinner at Basilico can't be missed!!! Nice bonus: if you stay for several nights at a time, they provide 15% discount on their restaurants and include some laundry services free of charge!

Steve B.

Yelp
This is a great hotel just off Orchard Road away from the hustle and bustle. Close to everything yet quiet and nonassuming. If you stay here often enough they get to know you by name which is crazy. Wonder what else they know...lmao! Fantastic breakfast buffet which they include in many rates, and 1000sf suites are very reasonably priced. Crazy by American standards. Indoor atrium is nice and tropical plants everywhere. Not my favorite pool, but usually don't have time for that anyway. Upscale bathroom products that I abscond with every trip...have been buying them back home ever since which is the point really. About the only downside is the frequency of running into Caterpillar people from Peoria...lol. Looks like Cat travels in style! Great choice for business class stay.

Yelp
This is a four seasons hotel that operates as a one star hotel. The hotel does not have a business service area. I stood in a hallway to print document. After signing the document, the concierge took a long time to do a simple scanning. Then, they charge scanning by the page. Trying to work from the room was a nightmare. The internet is so slow that it felt like a vintage 1990 modem. There is really little of a four seasons resemblance. Definitely not a hotel for business people.

Richard B.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast mixing Asian and western cuisines

Yelp
Outstanding service, fantastic room, wonderful amenities. I could not be happier with this experience and I will be here for another week!

Yelp
A classy hotel with with old world charm. Regent Club level is a must and worth every penny to upgrade. Hotel remodeling to make your stay even better.

Megan P.

Yelp
The Regent is a lovely hotel, with fantastic food and amenities. We were immediately greated by the wonderful staff and calmed by the beautiful lobby. It is in a great area for guests looking to be a stones throw away from a huge shopping district and only a quick taxi journey from the Botonical Gardens, China Town, temples, night markets and other must see areas and attractions. We were exhausted the night we arrived, but some seriously tasty in-room dining sorted us out. We woke up refreshed and ready to explore Singapore. The Regent really made our short time in Singapore very enjoyable.
