We came in around 6:30 PM and unfortunately had one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. Service was disorganized from the start. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table to take our order, and the first waitress never put in our app order. Another server eventually took over, but we had to repeatedly ask for basics like drinks, silverware, plates, and even to-go boxes. Our waiter was nice, but the service overall really missed the mark.
We originally wanted beef patties, but they were out and only had chicken. The chicken patties took about 20 minutes to come out not hot. The flavor was decent, though mostly pastry with very little filling. Our wings, which we ordered at 6:45, didn't come out until after 7:30, and the first batch was burnt. The server admitted he burnt the sauce and said he dropped more for us, but by the time the replacement wings came, we didn't even want them anymore.
When our main food finally arrived, the rice and peas were bland, the cabbage was good, the jerk chicken was tender but tasted more baked than smoked, the curry chicken was a little salty but okay, and the oxtails were fall-off-the-bone tender but also a little salty.
To make things worse, they automatically add an 18% gratuity to all dine-in orders. I wouldn't have minded if the service and food quality were up to par, but they weren't.
Overall, between the slow service, mistakes, lack of attentiveness, and underwhelming food, the experience was very disappointing. I left feeling like no one there really cared about the customer experience.
