"In a country that seems more divided than ever before, there’s one thing 49 out of 50 states can agree on: New York needs to shut up already about their pizza. Throw a dart at a map of Manhattan and get a slice from the nearest pizza place. Eight times out of ten the crust will be indistinguishable from the paper plate it’s served on, nine times out of ten the cheese will have the consistency of a yoga mat, and ten times out of ten you will contract a venereal disease after picking up the pepper shaker. We know better. We’ve got Regina’s. The original Regina’s on Thatcher Street has been around since before the Great Depression. That alone doesn’t guarantee greatness (as evidenced by the Green Line) but for a pizza place, it’s a pretty good start. Unlike the significantly inferior Regina offshoots you find in mall food courts, you can’t get slices here. But that’s fine because this place is as comfortable as your Saturday morning hoodie, and you won’t mind lingering with a whole pie and a pitcher of beer. So forget about the bars on Canal street - Regina should be your pre-Garden go-to on game days, and your first choice for pizza on any other day of the year, for that matter. We don’t know exactly what makes the pizza here so good. Maybe it’s the romano they put in the sauce, maybe it’s the homemade sausage, maybe it’s the oven that’s old enough to have his car keys “hidden” by its children. All we know is that every time we bite into a slice, we wonder why we ever eat anything else. Food Rundown Original North End Recipe You might know this variety by it’s more common name: cheese pizza. But we don’t tell a legend what to do, especially when it nails the basics like Regina. The Giambotta Pepperoni, sausage, salami, mushrooms, peppers, onions, fresh basil, and mozzarella. As you’d probably guess, it’s a heavy, structurally unsound slice, but you’ll scarf it down before it ends up on your pants. Fior Di Latte Pomodoro This is the one that sneaks up on you. It’s basically a standard cheese pizza, but topped with a gooey, creamy mozzarella and olive oil." - Dan Secatore

The garlic knots here are the best! So soft and very delicious! I rave to all my friends about it. Definitely a must have!

Google
This restaurant is nice and cozy. Had a chicken bacon ranch slice and a cheese slice. Really great pizza (some of the best tasting pizza I've had). Great ambiance, with pleasant service.

Reginas is a very convenient location and it’s always a nice meal after work once in a while. The food is good, with a wide selection. Some of the food can be a miss, some of the the pastas feel cheaply made and they charge a lot, and some of the pizza flavors I would avoid. I usually will stick with regular cheese slice. They’ve gotten a bit bad about portion/pricing but two ppl can still grab 4 slices a couple sodas for about 20 bucks. The man that works the front is one of the sweetest guys ever, he always has a nice attitude. Anyways I hope Regina’s can improve some these aspects of the restaurant.

I came in out of the freezing cold one night and was so pleasantly surprised. I had a steaming bowl of delicious minestrone soup and a slice of their veggie pizza. There were lots of vegetables on it and it really hit the spot. The menu is quite extensive for such a small place. It does a brisk delivery and takeout business. The owner was so welcoming and immediately made me feel at home. It was Valentine's Day so he gave me a free drink and canolli! The only negative thing is that it's a no frills pizza place which is fine unless you're looking for ambiance. Also the door is patched together with plastic which makes it look very rundown. They should fix the door. But I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Google
Their pizza and service is great — I ordered a custom heart pizza for a Galentine’s Party and it was huge and beautiful, and for only $20!

Amazing food and service employees always make sure you’re taken care of.

Second time went there same experience! First time went in summer 2023. Had pizza with husband and son. After coming home we three had diarrhea. Again went 02/24/2024 with my son and his friends with their mom, we all had stomach ache and diarrhea. I don't know what went wrong. Service is nice, employees are polite but the food I don't know what went wrong. Two same experience different time.

Google
This was my first time ordering from Regina’s Pizzeria at 176-49, Union Turnpike, Flushing NY 11366. I ordered delivery based on the website boost of their great food. I ordered the meatball hero. Much to my surprise it came disguised as a calzone. It was burnt, greasy and soggy on the bottom. The meatballs looked like they came from frozen. The spaghetti sauce which turned out to be marinara sauce was in a container on the side. There couldn’t have been more than 3 medium size meatballs which had been sliced to fill an 8in so called roll which was replaced with pizza dough wrap! It did not taste well at all and smelled bad! It stunk up the room! In all my years living in NYC I have never had a meatball hero that looked and taste like this! U hope I don’t get sick! 🤒 This is not official Italian cuisine! I would like a full refund. I doubt that I’m going to receive a refund from them judging by the other reviews. The thing I don’t get is why would you send something like this out of your restaurant without checking it first! Especially when you can google recipes for meatball heroes. It’s not rocket science! Especially when your reputation is on the line! I’m disgusted at the lack of experience that went into this!

Mia L.

Yelp
This neighborhood pizza spot is a hidden gem! Their pizza has the perfect crispy crust that complements every bite, and the flavors are always spot-on. Beyond the pizza, their hero options are fantastic--generously filled and deliciously satisfying. I also ordered a salad, and even that exceeded expectations: fresh, well-balanced, and a great addition to the meal. The variety and quality make it an easy go-to for a casual, comforting meal. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable, delicious place nearby!

Yelp
The place is located near St John's university and some shopping/other eateries. Bright, with comfy seating inside. Got a personal pan pizza - was just ok. A bit soggy to hold though. Did ask for "light sauce" but would have preferred lesser, and was on the sweet side. Addtl % for use of credit/debit card.

Tina W.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered a cheese pie! Service was great! It was fast and delicious also! Prices were decent! Will def be back! Thanks!

Jackie K.

Yelp
My kids and I have been coming here for years. It's a bit farther from us than our local pizza place but we like the food and service better so it's worth it!

Jean M.

Yelp
The regular cheese pizza was ok & the reason is the tomato sauce is kind of sweet. The service & ambiance is very good,

Sandy S.

Yelp
Hands down best pizza in Fresh Meadows Queens. Maybe even better than many places in the city. I really like their plain pizza. The sauce is delicious and the ingredients are fresh and abundant. The people are also friendly and attentive. We became regulars during the pandemic and have been going back often ever since.

Erika S.

Yelp
I ordered the fried calamari and a personal pie. While the pizza was pretty good. I would not recommend the calamari. It looks nothing like others had posted in the past, they must have changed the recipe and I was highly disappointed. It tasted like a bunch of over fried crunchy breading on a bed of soggy lettuce and was a waste of money in my opinion, but I would order the pizza again.

Yelp
I'm going to update my review because I think I need to write a love letter to Regina's. This place is always here in a pinch and has impeccable service. The food is always consistently incredible! I have my go-to order here but I have been trying to make my way through the menu and when I tell you there's not a miss here, I am not kidding you. The pizza is the best in Queens in my opinion; the crust is so chewy, the sauce is amazing, and the cheese ratio is perfect. Their specialty slices are definitely where they shine but you can never go wrong with the classic cheese. It's always busy inside but if you get the chance to sit in, do it. The energy in the place is so warm and welcoming. This is hands down one of my favorite places ever!

Richa T.

Yelp
This place was a great find. I stopped by here for a quick lunch and the staff was absolutely great. They have plenty of options for pizza by the slice. However, I highly recommend trying the Shrimp Scampi. The pasta was absolutely incredible and I highly recommend trying it out. The staff was excellent and super helpful. All in all, this was a great choice for a quick lunch and I cannot wait to come back again soon.

Amy C.

Yelp
Honestly the best pizza ever! Highly recommend getting the Sofia Loren Thin Crust Pizza you will not regret it. The sauce is so juicy and flavorful. My go to pizza every time I order from here !

Shane N.

Yelp
Went today for lunch, at your a local pizzeria my wife frequents, it was tasty and the service was typical for a pizza restaurant. I had the pepperoni pizza which taste like your NY slice. My wife had the Cesar chicken salad, which looked good, but I wasn't much of a fan. Overall if your looking for a quick bite, this is your spot.

Taylor R.

Yelp
I love regina's. i'm in here at least twice a week and they are always so nice and the food is delicious. would 100% recommend

Jared S.

Yelp
I was absolutely starvin' marvin the other day after a long walk to and fro Cunningham park. I spotted Regina's while heading down union and turning onto Utopia. I noticed a large line had formed so I had to see what all the hoopla was all about! Turns out, there was a line for a good reason... the pizza here is friggin' awesome. I'm normally a regular cheese slice kinda guy (or spinach splice depending on the spot), but this time I went a little wild and ordered both a chicken caesar slice and a buffalo chicken slice. They were each hefty slices in their own right and you could really feel the weight of the meat when you pick it up. Of course, I just had to give it a bit of a fold, the New York way.. otherwise I'd be dripping food all over my shirt and the floor, and no one wants to see that. I try to avoid corn syrup in all costs but I threw care to wind and washed it down with a root beer. I wish they had the old school ones made with pure sugar cane but what can ya do. All in all, a solid pizza joint and I'll be back soon!

Ron B.

Yelp
Had a promo from delivery.com. I wanted pizza. Unfortunately, they only had 3 choices. 2 pizzerias and the fried chicken place. I ordered from Regina's. I should have gone with the fried chicken place. I'm looking at all the 5-star reviews and don't know what to make of them. The pizza was like a couple of kids making english muffin pizza with the babysitter. And maybe they were short on ingredients. I'm picturing the muffin getting a glop of sauce and half a slice of cheese. This made the average dollar pizza place seem gourmet.

Maria R.

Yelp
I stopped in yesterday for a quick lunch and instead of the usual slice (which they had plenty options to choose from), I opted for a grilled eggplant panini. And it was fantastic! Came with a delicious, side salad that was crisp and had a bunch of fresh veggies. All for $12! The counter guys and chef were kind and lovely. Right on the corner, and easy to find! I sat outside at one of their cute little tables, with umbrellas for sun shade. If you're in the area of union turnpike and Utopia parkway, give them a try!

Neelam R.

Yelp
I love this place for a quick slice of pizza. My kids also love it. Especially the margarita pie slice. The service is quick and they are so friendly. I've also tried the ziti and love it. In the summers they have a few outdoor tables in addition to their inside seating which is nice.

Farzana P.

Yelp
This review is only based off their pizzas. SO GOOD!! My go-to spot any time I'm craving it. The Chicken Caesar pizza has a special place in my heart The cafe itself isn't too spacious but fine to just sit down for a quick bite.

Jack M.

Yelp
The best Pizza and pasta for the neighborhood. Service is good and friendly. The few tables outside seating also a plus.

Courtney A.

Yelp
Regina's lost a customer! I recently ordered dinner via Slice from Regina's. My pepperoni pizza had pepperoni on only half the pie and the under crust was burnt and who wants burnt pizza? I gave this place too many chances, because, the food is decent. However, the last time I picked up an order from Regina's an electrician was working on high hats right over the display case during open hours... Yuck! Some of the dishes are delicious, seasoned well, and cooked good, but, beware if you place to order food from this place.

Lucie T.

Yelp
Great pizza spot across the street from St. John's University. The food was fresh, tasty and delicious. The prices are reasonable and affordable.

Emily C.

Yelp
As a St. Johns student, Reginas is one of my favorite food places to go to around here. The service is wonderful, everyone in there is very nice and the food is really good!

Armando E.

Yelp
I have been a patron since the pandemic. Their food is usually good, but the last order was a thin crust pizza and the sauce was clumpy and too sweet. The owner refused to admit they messed up the sauce. Keep that up and you'll loose customers

Nia P.

Yelp
Great place to eat! I typically order pick up and it is done quickly and always tastes great!

Sunny C.

Yelp
Located on a corner right by St.Johns University. Some street parking outside, but be careful because it is a pretty busy street. Tried their medium white pizza pie (6 slices). The pie was pretty big and delicious. We also ordered garlic knots, an Italian hero, pepperoni and cheese pinwheels, and spinach and cheese pinwheels. The pinwheels were still good the next day. The only thing we did not love was the hero.

Terri C.

Yelp
A lot of carry-outs. Good pizza, good location. Nice and friendly staff!

Erick B.

Yelp
This review is more on how disgusting this place is rather than the food. Me and family sat down to eat our pie we ordered and noticed people behind us coughing and sneezing, they got up left and did not finish eating. The staff grabbed the remaining 3 pizzas the people had left on the table from there pie and put them on the counter to re-sell! Would never come here again.

Jay B.

Yelp
Pure crap i got a shrimp scampi looked nice but it was the absolute worst thing i've ever tasted i went through the reviews so long before ordering and thought to give them the benefit of the doubt. It was completely rancid. Waste of time and money

Rachel P.

Yelp
I love regina's. Best plain slice around, definitely recommend if you are in the St. John's area.

Deanna H.

Yelp
I ordered a pizza and a calzone and it was good. I also ordered the pasta primavera and it was gross. The pasta noodles were mushy. I asked for tomato sauce and I got butter and oil sauce. I also paid $6 extra for the shrimp and they were so chewy I couldn't even eat them. $23 down the drain for that one dish. I wish I would have just gotten pizza. If I wasn't reviewing everything I bought and just the pasta I would have easily given 1 star. The meal was delivered on time also.

Barney C.

Yelp
Regina's is still #1 spot to grab a slice. Every time I'm back at St. John's, I stop by to say hello and get a Buffalo or BBQ Chicken Slice. The staff is super friendly and attentive to not only the business but also their customers. The owner has taken a number of steps to ensure that they continue to improve the customer experience, and their renovations over the last few years have drastically helped to "enhance" the experience by updating the display case, adding menu monitors and updating the layout of the store. In addition to having awesome pizza, they also have an amazing lunch special, that can't be beat (especially for all the local college students). It can get busy and crowded (due to the limited seating) especially depending on what's happening at St. John's but I highly recommend you give this place a shot!

Sunny S.

Yelp
The only reason I called was because Papa John's was taking a really long time answering the phone. I'm so glad I came here instead. The pizza here is very good, and I would definitely order again.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Chicken bacon ranch slice and garlic knots. Would definitely recommend. The pizza was great. The garlic knows we're amazing, somewhat crispy outside and really soft inside, with amazing garlic flavor.

Vicky C.

Yelp
I've been here many times. Today, I had a Caesar salad slice. Delicious! The employees are very nice.

Ari S.

Yelp
Last year at St. John's, still won't order anywhere else in the area. Ordered on yelp and picked up after 10 minutes. Always fresh, always fast.

Danny P.

Yelp
Awww they seem so nice and delivery came on time. Asked for a ginger ale got a coke cola. Beef patties was okay below avg. Spaghettis could of used more sauce and were a little dry. Flavors were off in the meat balls nothing bad but didn't taste Italian at all. Taste like pure beef meat with missing all that meatball favor. Anyways queens doesn't have good pizzerias. So it's your pick of 3 star places.

Isabella J.

Yelp
9 out of 10 times this place will screw up your order, and the staff is extremely rude over the phone. There is no AC inside - it's well over 100 degrees on the premises - so completely unsanitary food environment. Not recommended at all. If you order a salad, HALF the ingredients are always missing from the salad, except for the lettuce or spinach. They won't even give you a piece of bread with the half-salad. That's about it. And they will charge you full price for the half-salad you're getting. Total rip-off. Also, they have NO IDEA what a GYRO is supposed to look and taste like. Should take a learning trip to Astoria. Their lamb is bland and disgusting, tzatziki sauce smells and tastes like it's rotten (it probably is because of the 100 degree temperature inside). Food is just NOT EDIBLE. AVOID this place at all cost. Not worth a penny.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Linguini Carbonara was awesome it's one of my favorite Italian dishes and they did not disappoint. They did take longer than expected with my order and when I called to see the status the guy hangs up all of a sudden..

Sheena M.

Yelp
Today we ordered A large cheese pie. Stuffed shells and Calamari. So glad to have this pizzeria opened during this hardship. The workers there were pleasant and Food was amazing as usual. Also pretty quick.

Fatima M.

Yelp
I love reginas! There are other pizza places near St. John's and this is the all time best, no arguments. I hate salty pizza, i tell everyone salt should never be the only seasoning but this pizza is phenomenal. Pizza is great, and their pasta is to die for. Literally. Would die for their chicken Alfredo. The garlic knots are top notch and make me want to bathe in a pile of garlic butter. Just a great place to go The restaurant is small, don't expect to find seating on busy nights especially if it's more than two people. My only bad experience with this place is when i ordered a burger and it ended up just being bread, but you really shouldn't be going to a pizza place for a burger anyway lol.

Dorah G.

Yelp
Absolutely loooove Reginas!! The staff is so welcoming and the food is even better. You must try a garlic knot slice when you're here. Truly the best of the best!!

Owen W.

Yelp
Regina's is the best pizza around! Great staff and even better food! Will be back with the family soon.

Sergio P.

Yelp
Was looking for place around the area to buy food and ended up ordering a pizza pie from this place a few weeks ago. It's a convenient place to grab a slice of pizza and they have a lot of seating available. The pizza itself was ok, nothing I would really travel out of my way to get but it was done quickly (in about 10-12 minutes) and overall the pizza was satisfying. I have also ordered delivery from this location previously. I chose a calzone and it was alright, I was slightly disappointed that the pasta sauce was very watery to the point that the calzone came out pretty soggy by the time I got it.

Mary L.

Yelp
We went to Regina Cafe to grab pie of pepperoni pizza. It was hot and delicious. It's very fast and casual restaurant. It's a great place to eat in the neighborhood and for passerby to grab a quick lunch.

Kamila C.

Yelp
THE BEST PIZZERIA!!! I love their pies so much especially the Chicken Cesar it's literally the best Ive ever had. Their pastas are also very good and prices are fair. Great customer service from Caroline and all the other staff. They never forget to give me extra Cesar dressing on the side, even when I don't ask for it.

Ig L.

Yelp
Stopped by last Thursday during the workday with a colleague for a quick slice. I got the white pizza, my bud got the regular cheese . We dined in at one of the small tables. Pizza was good, hit the spot. Certainly NYC standards. Nice thin crust. Service was fast, place looks clean. For the 2 slices and 1 Snapple bill was under $11. Menu posted on wall looks nice. I'd like to try the shrimp roll next time.

Gordon A.

Yelp
I've had decent pizza & Italian food at many places. Some were very good, but I found them not to be consistent. Regina's pizza & Italian food is very good and consistently good. They're nice and friendly and fast & hot on deliveries. They are truly one of the best. I only ate in once and all was good. Their prices and portions are good too. There are other pizza places near by, but they're not worth trying. All you need is Regina's.

Robert N.

Yelp
Has a great garlic knot pizza. also has an amazing chicken bacon ranch slice. workers are very caring and always on time for deliveries

Joe F.

Yelp
Very good pizza but worker keeps mask on his neck. Are you kidding me? Not going back anytime soon.

Eric Y.

Yelp
It's always been quite hard for me to be impressed by pizzerias. Being a native New Yorker, I always hold pizza to a high standard. Unfortunately Regina Cafe & Pizzeria, does the bare minimum to be called pizza in NYC. My family and I had ordered two pies and wings for pickup. Upon arriving to pick it up the pie had just come out of the oven. After a 5 minute drive home, the pies already soggy and steamed. I have never seen a pizza that was this limp after 5 minutes in the box. When trying to remove a slice from the box, the pizza separated from the cheese immediately. Attempting the fold, the tip immediately drooped. The buffalo wings that we had ordered as a side was coated in a sauce that tasted like a mix between ketchup and spicy bbq sauce. It had an odd tanginess to it. I think that Regina needs to reconsider their dough recipe and the heat of their ovens. This might resolve the limping issue. Also some real buffalo wing sauce would be appreciated. I also found that the price was a bit hefty for what we had ordered, about 45$ for two pizzas with toppings and wings. Considering the other quality pizzerias in the area, I do not believe that I will ever willingly come back to Regina Cafe & Pizzeria.
