"Relo’s Board Game and Dessert Cafe, started by Toronto natives Lou Guoc and Regen Chan, is set to open in April at the former Three Aces location. The cafe will offer a variety of desserts and a large collection of board games, targeting students from the nearby University of Illinois at Chicago. Unlike its predecessor, it will not serve alcohol but will offer specialty drinks like lemonade and iced tea. The owners hope to create a welcoming space for both casual and hardcore board gamers." - Ashok Selvam

I was scouting this place for a potential Meetup spot for my group. They were very prompt when returning my email. Today I got to go to the place with a couple of friends. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was great and this place had an excellent nitro coffee. We decided to play some games after eating. The staff was also helpful in helping us select games and explaining the rules if needed. This is a nice spot and good alternative to the game places mostly located up North. I'll be coming back for sure with and without my group.

Relo's has a really cool vibe! It is located across the street from the Chicago Public Library on Taylor Street and filled with board games which makes it the perfect summer hang out spot. Although there is a $5 charge per person to play the games that does seem very reasonable compared to other activities in Chicago. The food is good. To be fair we had desserts but still tasty. For those with food allergies Relo's clearly lists on the menu which items contain allergens such as nuts or seafood. Sadly, Relo's doesn't offer any gluten free options on the dessert menu and only one flavor of sorbet in the ice cream column which isn't really a big deal. My daughter has both a gluten allergy and dairy intolerance so she ordered the limoncello sorbet and was completely happy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is a nice addition to the neighborhood.

Amazing place for chilling on weekends! Relo’s have a very good collection of board games. We ended up playing for 3 hrs and it was totally worth it. The staff were truly helpful with game suggestions. I would certainly recommend this place for anyone who loves board/card games. Cheers for the sweet staff 🍾☺️

Love love love this place.❤❤❤ I heard about this place online and this place did not disappoint. I highly recommend to all my friends and everyone to come here. Their desserts are top notch for average prices. Their service was fantastic, they were attentive and knew their games to the point where they can explain the rules or make great suggestions. Layout of the place is also nice, huge tables for games and groups, one area is for chilling and eating and the other one is the game room but you can play games in either room. Also they have SO MANY games, it was awesome exploring other games and getting to play for just $5 unlimited. It's also BYOB so that's a nice touch as well. Cant wait to come back again 😊

A friend of mine told me about this great new board game cafe that opened up down near little Italy and I had to go check it out. The interior is expansive and beautiful, with several nice intimate spaces for your group to get cozy while placing your meeples. I had a sundae served in a fresh spongy waffle cone with fruit and chocolate sauce, hit the spot. Wish I had the time to bring a group on and play for a few hours!
