Remo's

I was looking for a new place to try in Stamford, and a Google search listed this place as one of the best Italian places near me. So I checked it out and decided to give it a try. They have an impressive menu and I was hungry, so I went with the Caesar salad with anchovies, Mussels with red sauce (you have a choice), Linguini Pescatore, and finished with lemon sorbet. The salad was very well made but I felt a small bit overpriced for the portion size. The mussels were outstanding. The Linguini was loaded with seafood, and really delicious. The final turn, the sorbet, served in a real lemon, was absolutely outstanding. I enjoyed my meal very much. Service was attentive, and very cordial. I will not hesitate to go back or bring friends there.

Really great pizza restaurant in downtown Stamford. Great atmosphere and outdoor patio area. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered two pizzas: The Vodka Chiceken Pie and White Pie. Both were high quality, unique pizzas with great flavor. I had to force myself to stop eating because the pizza was so good. Had 4 slices total in one sitting! Definitely a top 10 pizza restaurant. I will definitely return for more if I'm ever in the area again.

As you can see, I like this place a lot. One of the first times I went to Remo’s was for my sixteenth birthday, I am now about to turn 22! I’ve lived in the Fairfield/Westchester County area my entire life, and have frequented NYC since birth. Remo’s pizza, specifically their margherita pizza with pepperoni holds the highest place in my heart when it comes to pizza. Whenever I would come back from college for breaks or visits, I ask to go to Remo’s! Their other food is great, and my friends and family and I love coming back. The staff is super friendly too :) Also, my friend who has celiac’s never had a problem ordering! Thank you Remo’s!!

The pizza was decent, but my visit wasn’t the smoothest. I was seated near the back by the bathrooms even though there were open tables closer to the front, which would’ve felt nicer. The service felt a little rushed, and the pizza came out a bit oily for my taste. The atmosphere was also pretty loud, which made it tough to hear at times. Hoping to give it another try in the future for a better experience.

Not them burning my pizza and trying to cut off the evidence! This is why I try to check my food before leaving! The pizza is good but come on.

I am pickey with my chicken francese and they knocked it out of the park, delicious !

This is one of the amazing restaurants in downtown Stamford and we do like visiting again and again. Food is really good and service is very prompt. Pizza size is sufficient for 2 people. Pasta sauce is creamy and try adding Ravioli to it. Definitely worth a try if you are in Stamford

Gluten free pizza was delish. I liked the Italian Antipasto with a variety of cappacola, soppressata, provolone, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and olives. Dog friendly restaurants are the best, we brought our puppy and sat outside with him. Customers were super nice about our dog. Wines were reasonably priced. Definitely going back again !!

I have very high standards for chicken parm and Remo's did not disappoint! Great meal even for takeout, no notes.

The cheese on the pizza was gritty and not good - there was virtually no sauce on this cheesebread. The wings were so-so - nothing fantastic. Not sure what all the hype is here -

This is a fantastic Italian restaurant in downtown Stamford. The food is really good, and the service is outstanding. I am a chicken parmigiana guy, and I think it's one of the best in the area! I'm selective and would choose Reno's any day. To be honest, the food tastes great even when ordering for pick up.

Excellent pizza in an old-fashioned style restaurant that's been around for nearly 20 years. Pizza can be ordered "traditional" (Italian) or New York style, and they offer gluten-free crust, which is some of the best gluten-free crust I've had! The service was prompt, and it's clearly a local favorite because it was very busy.

Remo's apparently has changed over to Uber Eats for their online deliveries. I watched my pizzas (2) drive around Stamford for 30 minutes and they arrived ice cold.

Can't believe I've never been here after decades of living nearby and visiting other restaurants on the block. Delicious food and excellent prices, even more excellent made by huge portions. The service is great, we spontaneously walked in from the windy cold and were seated right away. The staff were very efficient and the food came out very quickly. I try to avoid seed oils and the waiter patiently explained that only fried foods were used with vegetable oils and I was safe to order basically anything else. Super accommodating. They give you complimentary bread and oil to start which was tasty. We also shared the meatballs and broccoli rabe. I had the tonno salad and my mom had the pasta fagioli soup. Everything was delicious (I just didn't like the dressing that came with my salad). But the that ricotta with the meatballs was enough to make me return. The broccoli rabe wasn't too bitter and the soup was so flavorful. Will definitely be back to try more. Definitely a nice casual family friendly establishment.

Prompt and friendly service at Remo's, and food was good, but truthfully not exceptional. Had the lentil soup as an appetizer (which was lovely), followed by the chicken parm (which fell a bit flat, as it lacked the kind of seasoning and crispiness you'd expect). Portions were great though.

We walked in and had to walk right out. We said hello to a girl with glasses at the counter. She said hello to my wife, my wife asked to be seated and then she just stared at us like we were idiots. The host walked in from outside and continuously said hello while standing directly behind my wife. We asked to be seated and he did. I then observed the counter staff looking at my wife and commenting like she was an idiot. Sad to say but this whole staff should be fired......

Worth the stop! Driving through Connecticut we're always looking for a place to stop for quick lunch or dinner and this hit the spot right off 95! As a family with teenage children who follow One Bite pizza....we tend to try them out if we don't have other recommendations! This was fantastic NY style pizza but not just the pizza was great! Everything from the bread to the Zeppoles were all delicious! I think we will be replacing our usual Frank Pepe's stop for Remos! We may even have to find a reason to come to Stamford! Affordable, family friendly and great Italian! You won't be disappointed!

This review is based on my first takeout order from Remo's. I've walked past this place many times and I'm so glad I tried it! I am, admittedly, a bit of a snob when it comes to Italian-American cuisine. I'm a Native New Yorker who grew up on some of the best pizza in the Northeast. Remo's cheese pie is solid! Flavorful, crunchy and chewy all at once, well-seasoned. Their penne allá vodka was heavenly...some of the best vodka sauce I've tasted, and the portion was generous. I loved my lunch and will definitely be back to try more dishes! Highly recommended!

I've never had a bad meal at Remo's, they are consistently good! There are many menu choices and specials each day. Portions are ample and prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is casual pizzeria like and can be a bit noisy with all the hard surfaces, nonetheless, it is one of my favorites! Service is also consistently good! Give this restaurant a try!

we ordered three different pizzas and a salad for movie night . it was our first time ordering from Remo's. i had read some positive reviews and I thought let's try it ! very good , all six friends give it a thumbs up.

tried four season pizza ( meatball, dried tomato, broccoli, and pineapple) i like their brick oven pizza , good place to sit and eat . stuffs ( server ) seems like not happy , i asked normal water as had common cold , he brought water without ice but that one was also cold . asked agin but he was like that's normal water they do have . just did not like his attitude. otherwise good was good

Great food and service. Ordered take out delivery and not only was it yummy but it was piping hot! Enjoyed that sausage pasta dish and the penne vodka dish!

Remo's is a Stamford classic. Your typical Italian American dishes. Food has been consistent throughout the years and I've always enjoyed their pizzas, salads, Buffalo wings, and penne allá vodka. Service is fast, even when it seems to be super busy. A casual spot to go to for lunch or dinner, a fun place to go to after work for a quick bite and drink.

Staff was super nice. The meatballs and shrimp pizza was incredible. The tiramsu and canolli were on point. Great place to have some really good pizza.

First time in Stamford... Service is lax but that's the Italian way. We were in no rush, our waiter was nice and the food was comforting. We had : Mozzarella sticks - delicious cheese the breading was rather thick ...picked it apart a bit but still yummy. The marinara sauce was absolutely divine. Margarita pizza with pepperoni too - thin crust, well made. Great ratio for cheese and marinara sauce. Naturally the middle was a wee bit soggy but did not matter as the taste far outweighed that. Caesar salad - mediocre and a bit disappointing given the Italian ambiance. Dressing was not homemade nor were croutons. Other than the generous amount of dressing given. I wish I had gotten it on the side. For a good pizza I'd definitely come back.

I've been meaning to have dinner here for a while now. My wife ordered a delicious Chicken Francese. I went with the large NY style pizza. A little heavy on the sauce imo, but it was very tasty. Leftovers were gone within 24 hours.

I wish I had known about Remo's earlier into my trip to Stamford. Absolutely stellar experience between the service, ambiance, and food. I ordered the chicken parmesan dinner and received a massive and delicious serving. I also had their cheese pizza which was equally as good. Even the bread they serve before the meal was great. My server was very attentive, helpful, and sweet. Seating area isn't huge, and I imagine the place gets packed on during evening times, so definitely plan accordingly.

Have eaten here a few times. Cute restaurant, very friendly and attentive service. Food is excellent. My favorites are the chicken Parmesan and the NY style pepperoni pizza!! Reasonable prices for great food!

Margareta pizza done perfectly. We had a side salad and pizza, because that's what you when you're in this area of Ct. the crust was thin and perfectly with a little char on the side. The sauce was bright. I have no idea ifs canned but it was great. So definitely go here for pizza! Ps street parking. A bit of a pain.

Staff is so friendly. Went for a quick lunch of pizza. We're from out of town and miss really good pizza! It did not disappoint. Got a few dishes to go for dinner later after a long drive. The Vodka sauce is the best I've ever had! Unbelievable, even after traveling 3 hours and reheating. Wish they shipped the sauce!

Remos is my favorite pizza place on Earth! Yes, I said Earth. Moving to Norwalk, I have tried to find something equally as good and can not find it anywhere. That doesn't stop me from making sure I get my Remos fix once a week though. Yes, once a week! I should be an honorary member of Remos at this point with the amount of money I spend there. They should honestly have members rewards or something to earn free pizza because as I stated, I spend a lot of money there. The sauce is amazing! Maybe that's what makes the pizza so good. Maybe they order their water from NYC or something... I heard that's the trick to most places that have divine pizza; importing NYC tap water. I swear that's a thing! Either way, Remos has the best pizza by far. Love it!

The pasta is great! I had the pasta with mussels, delicious!! The chicken Alfredo was delicious. We also ordered a margarita pizza, which was good but they do not use tomatoes, it's just a cheese pizza with basil on it. Service is fast. Went on a Friday evening, was able to get seating right away but was still quite busy

Reliably really yummy food! We live nearby so it's our go-to Italian place when we want something on the nicer side of things. Their pizza is great, I would recommend the four seasons so you can try the variety of toppings. Pasta is really well made as well, the penne alla vodka is a huge portion and really tasty. Their salads and soups are great as well, and compared to other Italian in the area I would say this would be my top choice.

I have been ordering Remos for the past four years and there were many weeks I ordered two times a week. Lately, my experience has been going downhill. I reached out because I ordered a salad and there was a hair in it. I even sent a picture. No response. Tonight, we gave another chance, the antipasti had bad meat, the prosciutto was a dark color, the salami tasted bad and it was all hot. Not sure why antipasto was hot. The pizza was burnt. I won't even try to reach out since I don't receive a response. I would have recommend Remos in the past, but we will start trying elsewhere.

A group of 3 of us went here on a Saturday afternoon craving wood fire pizza. We ordered: margarita pizza, margarita with portobellos and prosciutto and finally the white clam pizza. All three were delicious. The ingredients in the margarita pizza were so good I wish I had skipped the extra toppings on my pizza. The crust was baked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back!

The pizza was light, chewy and delicious! Really hit the spot but wish we could've taken the train to get true NY pizza. Definitely will when we go back! The 12 inch pizzas were huge!

I usually use Remo's for take out. The pizza is really good, the normal Italian dishes are good too. Salads are very good. My go to delivery place. Delivery says an hour but always comes quicker.

Excellent margherita pie!! Came here in the summertime with a group of 6 for lunch and I couldn't have asked for a better time. Everyone loved their pizzas - margherita, plain cheese and pepperoni were the choices. Great spot to enjoy on a beautiful day!!

Fantastic! We went here for dinner with a big crowd on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy, but the staff seated us immediately. Our server patiently answered our questions and made good suggestions. I'd never had grilled calamari, so I tried it and it did not disappoint! Served on a bed of greens with balsamic dressing, it had a wonderful smokiness and was satisfyingly chewy without being rubbery. The mozzarella fritta starter got thumbs-up all around, too. My main of eggplant parmesan came with a side of pasta in pesto sauce (!) that was delicious, creamy, and hot. A fellow diner's main of shrimp scampi came with several, surprisingly large shrimp. Another fellow diner's veal parmesan was gone before I could get a photo. We ate outside and when it began to drizzle rain, our server extended the awning so we were still able to enjoy our meal. My one criticism is that the shrimp scampi came out much later than our other mains. That said, this is a welcoming, authentic place and I look forward to enjoying it again! Highly recommended all around!

Had a great experience ordering takeout from Remo's a few weeks ago. Ordered a Margherita pie and a tossed salad. The salad was one of the best I've ever had from standard-issue pizza places. Pizza was alright, better than most CT pies I've had but still doesn't compare to NY or NJ, although the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. Remo's gets very busy in the evenings but overall a great spot for pizza if you're ever in Stamford.

Visited Stamford on a whim from OC, NY, with my toddler in search for dinner on a rainy Saturday night. Delicious pizza, clean space and friendly staff/owner(s). I'm giving a 5, but the counter girl and/or girl who answered the phone was extremely rude with a lackluster personality both when I called with questions and when we came in hours later. We visited the weekend of March 18th. Again, 5/5 though! We will be back!

visiting stamford, and the place was decorated super cute with christmas trees & decor. I got the individual size margherita pizza and it was HUGE! you could definitely split this dish with someone. the staff was so welcoming and you could definitely feel the warm environment of the place. also highly recommend the garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer :)

Stopped in for dinner on Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. We took immediate seating at the bar. It was busy. - server came over with a menu immediately and greeted us, ordered our drinks and a house salad to share which came out quickly and was fresh/tasty. Also ordered a margarita pizza with meatball and it was very good! Service was excellent, food was very good and it is reasonably priced. We enjoyed our visit and will visit again soon.

I normally don't eat pizza but I had a slice and it was delicious.. I ordered for a playdate for my lil one and his friend, and I really must say it was yummy,as the lady said on the train in "coming to America "go on honey take a chance :)

Loved this place. Growing up in NYC, I appreciate a good pizza. After moving to CT, I couldn't find a decent pizza anywhere. We stumbled across this placed by accident and we couldn't be happier. The staff is extremely attentive and the food is amazing. We traveled to Italy last year and this is the first time we found a margherita comparable to that in Rome. Grab a couple of Peroni's and a pizza and enjoy.

There are so many good things to say about Remo's. Every Italian place downtown has their own style and no two are alike. Remo's is consistent, predictable, and most importantly: delicious. Their take out and delivery is awesome, and sitting down, they are one of the more timely places. It's easy to get in and out on a lunch break. The salad's are all quality, and a wide variety of pizza styles offered. I don't want you to know how good their delivery service is. They typically arrive earlier than expected, and have the friendliest drivers. If too many people find out about this, it may impact how fast my food arrives in the future. :)

Ordered their margarita and veggie pizza while visiting family in Stamford. Excellent pizza and will definitely order again the next time we visit. Easy to order and ready within 20 mins even at peak time. We did takeout, so can't comment on dine-in experience.

We moved here in 2013 (June) and it was one of the first restaurants we tried. On that first visit, our server was no doubt having a terrible day and our service was so bad, we didn't come back for awhile. So glad we gave them a second chance as it's one of our favorite restaurants today. We live in downtown Stamford so it's convenient, the food is always wonderful and I'm pleased to say, the staff go above and beyond on each of our visits to make it pleasant and enjoyable. I recommend them definitely.

It's a family owned restaurant with really good service. I was visiting in town and picked a local spot near my hotel and could tell you I would be a returning customer if I lived in the area. The food was amazing I can't say more about it. Highly recommend if you are in the area and can go.

Stopped in for lunch during the week. The service was efficient. I got the Cobb salad which was good but missing the avocado that was supposed to come with it- house balsamic was good. My colleague had the Mediterranean salad which looked delicious. Quite a few salad options if you're looking for something lighter. So so so hard not to order pizza because the place smells absolutely amazing and the pies looked perfect. I've had their pizza before and really enjoyed it, my favorite was the Margherita pizza- super fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back.

Had a white clam pizza and muscles in white wine sauce. Got takeout so it wasn't super hot when I got back to my hotel but the food was still great. Great food. Nice staff. Clean restaurant.
