We are in AZ for the winter. We chose to dine at Renee’s for my birthday dinner based on recommendations from a few locals. Let me say, for a date night this place is a definite YES. It’s cozy and small so really great for conversation (unless you have very loud guests behind you like we did. Unlucky but that happens sometimes). Our Server was friendly and made absolute sure everything was gluten free (I have Celiac Disease) and we didn’t have to wait on her for anything. She took the time to be sure everything came out okay. We ordered wine (no cocktails available). It was good wine. We ordered their Oh My Honey board - that was the absolute star of the night. So simple but SOOOO delish! I’ll be thinking of it for some time. Order it - trust me. The gluten free baguette was also perfect. Toasted to perfection and my n gluten eating husband thought it was one of the better gf breads he’s ever had and preferred it over the gluten bread on the side. We ordered the Caesar Salad and it was so neat to be able to enjoy (GF) Croutons on my salad because that’s a rarity so I really appreciated that option! I had the Sun Dried Tomato and Grilled Chicken Dish. I added GF pasta to it. It was delicious but I would have liked it to have a bit more vegetables and sauce. I’d order it again though. Very tasty. My husband got the lasagna. He said it was really good. Definitely a heavy dish though. For dessert we ordered a lemon custard with berry sauce. Also VERY GOOD. A perfect, lighter dessert. We would like to try their pizzas if we come back. Those sounded fantastic. We felt the menu prices were very reasonable considering the quality ingredients and the allergen friendly options offered. Our meals were good. The service was good - but flat. I just was hoping for great. Being that it was my 50th birthday we thought that there would be a bit more “fanfare”. It was a good experience but not really a memorable one. So my two cents is - wonderful date night spot but maybe not the place for a special occasion.

Google
Came here for the gluten free pizza and was not disappointed. Very tasty and prepared well. This is a tiny restaurant with about 5 tables inside and 5 outside. I suspect it could seat about 40 people if every spot was filled so I’d highly recommend reservations if you go. The food is good but it’s pricey. My 3 meatballs were $15. We paid over $50 for a small salad, the 3 meatballs and a gluten free pizza. Definitely feels like a quality over quantity type of place but you pay well for it. I’d go back for the pizza but am hard pressed to see the value in the balance of items ordered. EDIT: Added a star due to the response from the owner. It was thoughtful and detailed review.

From the moment we walked in, service was great, very friendly staff. It is a small restaurant, I would recommend making a reservation. We made our same day. Started with drinks, prickly pear lemonade with tequila, very tasty. For appetizers we tried the garlic knots, came out hot and fresh, both ranch and marinara flavorful, a great pairing. I got the Fettuccine alfredo with chicken. The sauce was very creamy and rich, I feel it lacked a bit of flavor. The chicken was tender but fairly plain, blending into the dish rather than standing out. The pasta was cooked well and held the sauce nicely. The best part was the focaccia bread. I might return to try the pizza, they looked to be good and had plenty of choices.

Google
I'd heard many a thing about Renee's (from the quality of the food to the no children under 12 in the dining room policy, which *is* mentioned all everywhere and multiple times when you make your reservations, so if you miss that, totally on you). Now onto the food itself... The focaccia bread (served along with a hot honey sauce IIRC and butter) and the caprese board were excellent appetizers. Everything on both of these dishes was incredibly fresh and quite tasty. The chilies and cream pizza was quite the experience. If you're into spicy foods, then this is definitely a must-have. The combination of green chilies, jalapeño cream sauce, and beef along works so well. The chicken dinner consisted of a chicken breast over spinach and zucchini noodles in a creamy sauce. The chicken was quite tender and moist and the noodles were very flavorful especially when mixed well with the sauce. Not pictured (because it was practically devoured), was the slice of Steve's chocolate cake. Chocolate cake, drizzled in chocolate sauce, and some whipped topping on the side. You can never go wrong with that. While in a small space, Renee's packs quite the culinary punch and if in the area again, would definitely stop by again. Service was fantastic and thank you for an excellent birthday dinner.

Google
The food was excellent and the service was great. I loved the options for vegans and gluten-free. It's a small restaurant so reservations are recommended and the inside seating is limited. The

Google
We had saw this place on the news and thought to give it a shot. The pizza was good but not worth the $24 price tag associated with it. Not to mention the $3 CAN of coke. In my opinion there are better pizza option in Tucson for less money. The only way I’d return is for “happy hour” where a one topping pizza is $10

Google
Wow! I think this is my new favorite restaurant. I came here with my friend for lunch, and both of us have food allergies. We found many menu options that we could eat, and the food was amazing!! Highly recommend, especially for gluten free peeps. (Note: not a dedicated GF kitchen, but staff is very mindful) Great ambiance too, so peaceful & classy.

Google
Just enjoyed the 313 menu, hailing from the 313 area code, the Detroit style coney dogs and pizza is legit! A must have if you want to try something that is truly authentic!!!! Go Tigers!

Yelp
First timer here, came for lunch with a friend. The lasagna is top notch, worth the wait. This dish would make Garfield himself blush. We had garlic knots as an appetizer and the amount of garlic was perfect. She's a vegan and enjoyed her pizza but said the cheese used here wasn't her favorite. Service was very friendly and prompt. Atmosphere is intimate without being overbearing. Recommend the vodka and prickly pear lemonade if you plan on drinking!
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
I ordered from their takeout restaurant. Not sure if they let you order these things at the main restaurant but thats where you pick the food up and where Grubhub gets it. Is any case I heard they had authentic coney island dogs and Detroit style pizza. The coney islands was what had ne order, I reluctantly ordered a pizza. My experience in Tucson with Detroit style pizza is overpriced poor quality pizza. First the coney islands, they're nit as good as Apollos or other top places in Michigan but thise places aren't in Tucson. So these hit the spot and scratched that itch. The pizza I loved all high quality ingredients, still smallish but we'll worth it. My wife did not like it but shes not a fan of browned cheese. Id order again. Oh remember to place your orders early because they run out. This was my second attempt at getting food from here.

Yelp
Reservations require you give your credit card info to OpenTable. No thank you. If it's really that smal, I'd rather not risk showing up just to wait a looong time or be turned away.
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
This is a tiny restaurant that seems to be a well-loved place to go. We had made a reservation for lunch using Open Table. Our booth felt very private. There are only a few tables indoors and a few more on the patio out front. Our server was attentive. I appreciated that they offer zoodles as a low carb option to pasta noodles. I ordered the seared chicken breast low carb meal. While it was good, the portion wasn't very large. For as much as it cost, I would've thought it'd come with a salad or something. Also, they don't offer soup, which sounded good on a chilly day. They now offer Coney dogs for a pretty reasonable price. My friend ordered that with the hot potato chips, which were the only available chips. She enjoyed it. It looks like they have one menu, with no less expensive lunch options.

Yelp
I think Renee's is one of the top Italian restaurants in Tucson. When you visit you'll know why. Extensive menu that's hits all the favorites, and the standout for me is the meat Lasagna. The pizza is also very good with many options. Desserts are made in house. We were too full try any, but they sounded wonderful. There is a top-notch wine list. They do not offer spirits. Space is very limited inside and there are four patio tables. A reservation is a must and they use Open Table. Kids under 12 are not permitted in the dining room. Ask about the patio. Our server Stephanie has been on the job for a month. She knew the menu and served us well. Prices seemed moderate to me. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
I had the Penne Pesto (but switched to spaghetti pasta instead). I also ditched the olives. It was outstanding. The service was perfect. We ate outside in December under the warming lamp. While it was comfortable, note that this is close to a busy road and there is a lot of traffic noise. Reservations needed for inside dining. Can't speak to the ambiance inside.

Yelp
Awesome food with lots of customization options! All the red sauce and dough is vegan. I usually get the vegan build your own calzone and it's lovely - the cheese is super melty and the calzone dough has a nice texture. This time I also got the Greek salad without the feta and wow so fresh! All the ingredients were crisp and flavorful and it was a large portion as well. We sat on the patio which is shaded nicely. The inside seating is a bit small and dark but I think it fits the ambience. Our waitress was nice and patient to explain everything to us. They have many takeout and lunch special deals which is nice. This is definitely a place I would come to too often if I lived closer.

Yelp
Disappointed by their policy that parties with children must sit outside. Our daughter has been to Michelin-starred restaurants but she can't go to a pizza restaurant for lunch in Tucson? We left when we saw the sign. Waste of time.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
I ate dinner here yesterday with four friends. When I made reservations the previous day, the only tables available were outside, so that's where we sat. Luckily, the weather was perfect. Service was good though a bit slow. Entree prices are on the high side. I split a 12-inch chilies and cream pizza on a traditional (as opposed to gluten-free) crust with one of my friends. He liked it. I was disappointed; the list of toppings sounded good, but it just wasn't my thing. However, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like a different pizza here.

Yelp
By far one of the best Italian eateries in Tucson . A complete surprise when I stopped in this unsuspecting restaurant. 10/10 with a ton of vegan options .

Yelp
I looked this restaurant up on Yelp and saw that it had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. The menu has a number of appealing options. I decided to go with the Spinach Dip Calzone, which I saw was featured on "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives". I had to try this menu option since Guy Fieri loved it. I placed a pick up order and also got their Caesar salad. Upon my arrival, the two ladies at the registers were immediately attentive. The gave great customer service even though I wasn't dining in. The Spinach Dip Calzone was full of flavor. The spinach dip mixture with jalapeños and chicken was everything you could imagine. The calzone as a whole is a 10/10. It's worth going to Renee's just to try the calzone. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The answer to the question, "what went well?" is easy to answer. Everything. The food (the meatballs & marinara sauce appetizer, the apple, walnuts & goat cheese salad, the calzone, and lemon posset for dessert), service, and ambiance were all fantastic! Highly recommended.

R Mark B.

Yelp
I found this online and got pizza and a calzone delivered. It was delicious. This will be on my rotation. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A small Bistro in Tucson that has authentic Italian food. Meat lasagna is a standout. Also, in very high demand and should be ordered in advance. I'm a fan of the pesto penne and the Arabi pasta. They have an excellent happy hour. That is takeout only Monday through Friday 3 PM to 530 Note well.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience at Renee's! I think it's crazy that people will write a review complaining about policies that are clearly stated both inside the restaurant and on open table when you make a reservation. We actually did not know about these policies and tried to get a table one night and they were completely full. They were very polite about it and instead we went to eclectic Café and had a great meal. However, we were so intrigued that we made a reservation for the next weekend. We did leave our credit card to reserve a reservation on open table and had no problem with that! When we arrived for our reservation, we were seated inside by a super nice waitress inside in a booth. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and we also got a pizza to share. Everything was amazing and super fresh. The waitress was very attentive and helpful when I asked her questions about some of the other businesses in the plaza. She also had some customers that were a little more difficult and she handled it seamlessly. We can't wait to go back! Thank you for providing an amazing experience.

Yelp
I feel like I have already reviewed Renee's but apparently not! This is MY PLACE for an amazing meal without worry. That dang Celiac hinders my dining out quite a bit but NOT at Renee's. You have to OpenTable because it's small. Four booths (I think) and outdoor tables, weather permitting. It's absolutely worth whatever Renee implements in order to have a quiet but happy meal. The staff LOVE working there which is a sign that she is on to something special. I recommend everything on the menu. She has an excellent selection of wines and the GF baguettes are so yummy. It's a great place to get to gather and actually be able to talk to each other. She has takeout too, which I also recommend if you can't get a reservation. Think ahead y'all, she's very popular!
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
The calzone was delicious. We got it plain so it was just the dough seasoned with oregano and with ricotta and mozzarella inside, I actually enjoyed it without toppings. The marinara that was served with it was sweet and delicious. The cheese pizza was nothing special, I would not get again, but loved the calzone. I do wish they gave free bread/focaccia before the meal. It is extremely small inside so highly recommend a reservation, we lucked out without one somehow. Always love checking out places guy fieri has been, they have a cool sign from him!
google avatar

Laurie C.

Yelp
This is our go-to neighborhood restaurant with intimate seating both indoors and outdoors and delicious pizza and calzones (try the spinach/artichoke/green chile version). The service is fast and friendly, and you can't go wrong with the food. They offer vegetarian and vegan options too.

Yelp
I was lucky to get a reservation on the same day for Saturday night. The restaurant is very cozy with a nice mural. The server was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. The food took longer because of the lasagna, but it was worth the wait. My penne pasta with chicken was also very good, but I had lasagna envy. I understand the hype and definitely plan on returning.

Yelp
I visited Renee's while in town with a friend. I made the reservations, which were surprisingly strict. There is a five-minute grace period. No kids allowed inside. (But ironically felt like a free-for-all outside.) If you book outside, don't dare ask to sit inside per the instructions on the reservation. I've never seen quite such aggressive reservations. They also required a credit card to hold in case we missed our five-minute window. I expected something very different when I pulled up to... a strip mall. Anyway.. We opted to sit outside, which is a small seating area on the sidewalk of said strip mall (next to the Little Shop of Hairdos!). The ambiance was... fine, if you don't mind headlights in your face while eating and the brilliant view of Walgreen's across the street. (Normally this wouldn't matter at all but for the insanely aggressive reservations making it hilarious.) Food wise, it was mostly just ok for me. We ordered garlic knots to start, and they were drier and had less flavor than I expected. For an entree, I had spaghetti that was covered in a little bit of cheese and baked. From the description, I expected more cheese and baked in a ramekin like the lasagna. The sauce was incredibly acidic, so I couldn't even eat my whole portion that night as it irritated my mouth. My friend had the lasagna, which was big enough for three people. I wish there were more options for small portions because we couldn't take the leftovers since we were traveling. Since lasagna is a limited item (there were two left by 6:20pm), smaller portions could feed more people. And I would be remiss to not mention how unbelievably slow the pace of the meal was. This place is small, just three or so tables inside and maybe five outside, but everything took. for. ever. Getting our order taken, getting our drinks, getting our appetizer, even checking out. At one point I thought maybe they had forgotten the appetizer, but no... it was just that slow. It was very different than I expected. Not terrible, but... different. ,

Yelp
Tried it for the first time. I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in their sauce and meatballs. I thought it pricey for the quality. On the other hand; Their bread was delicious and the ambiance and service was good.
google avatar

Rainier M.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered the house focaccia, a calzone and the potato pizza. Every item tasted abundantly flavorful and high quality. The ambiance is relaxing and romantic. Our server Avril was kind and attentive. Highly recommend, we will be coming back!
google avatar

Lila T.

Yelp
This time we got the takeout special for happy hour. Brenda was great with taking the order and kind! It's hard to get a reservation, and still a bit warm to dine on the patio. I wish that the flourless chocolate came with the whipped cream like when you dine in, but maybe it would have melted! The zoodles are always so fresh with lots of veggies! This is my favorite chocolate flourless cake ever! Will be back!
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
GREAT PIZZA! They used to have a refreshing spring cocktail, but they no longer serve cocktails - now wine is offered. The service is good and very friendly. It's a small, cozy dining room. They have fun decor and outside dining. Get your reservations because you'll definitely enjoy Renee's!
google avatar

Sonam S.

Yelp
The vegetarian lasagna, garlic knots, and flourless chocolate cake were out of this world The perfect date night!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for a date if you can afford it 5* = A top favorite. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient or the only option. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = Stay away at all costs!
google avatar

Shel B.

Yelp
Even better than I expected. The pizza is not just a pizza. The sauce, the cheese and the crust wowza! Also had a caprese and added chicken and it was so tasty..

Yelp
I joined friends here as one of them has Celiac disease. They all like the place, and I am not a fan. Just a few booths inside and a few tables outside weather permitting. They require reservations which we had but there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant at 12 noon. Very small booths for 4 people (if you are thin). The four of us are larger than that but not overly so and it was a tight fit. The menu is fairly limited. I ordered the meatballs & marinara sauce, thinking it would come with pasta... Just 6 small meatballs and marinara sauce for $18. I had a small glass of Prosecco ($9), so after tax and tip, it was almost $35. For lunch and I was still hungry. The meatballs came with one small slice of focaccia bread. I was rather disappointed and surprised after reading the reviews. I don't agree that this is one of the best Italian places in town. I can think of several that surpass this one. The gluten free options are good for those that need it. The menu had gluten free carrot cake listed but when we tried to order it, we were told they haven't had it for a few years as we had old menus. It seems that a place like this would want to update their menus if something listed is no longer available. The server was not overly attentive but acceptable. I won't return. My gluten-free friends like it, but I don't.

Yelp
We made a last minute reservation for 7:45pm on 08/16, we were originally supposed to sit outside but as luck would have it - a party left early so Renee called to ask if we wanted to move our reservation inside, yay! I appreciate her calling so much because I suffer from PCOS so the heat would've been killer for me. If we had to sit outside still, I brought a portable fan since I overheat like crazy. It worked out so well in the end. We ordered meatballs & jalapeño cream, a caprese board, and garlic knots for our appetizers. The meatballs were very lean and it paired well with the cream sauce, it wasn't spicy at all. The caprese board had the juiciest tomatoes I have had in a while, my partner didn't want his so I enjoyed them all. The garlic knots were perfect, it was crunchy on the outside but still nice and soft on the inside. We ordered the meat lasagna and the chiles & cream pizza in their 12" size. They were both so yummy. I have been craving/looking for a good lasagna/pesto pizza ever since we moved from California - this place definitey hit the spot! The environment of the restaurant as a whole was very quiet and private, perfect for dates! The service was impeccable, Renee was looking after us herself! There was also another gentleman checking in on us when Renee was helping other parties, he would make sure we were still doing well all the while he was running the to-go/doordash orders. I definitely recommend!! Do make a reservation in advance!! It seems like indoor seating goes by quickly, we got extremely lucky. :)

Shannon W.

Yelp
We arrived 15 minutes before closing, and the staff at Renee's welcomed us without hesitation. The food was absolutely delicious! It was the perfect place for three friends of 48 years to share laughs and relive some great memories.

Yelp
Renee's has been a favorite of my boyfriend and I since the days when they were known as Renee's Organic Oven. We try to dine there whenever we are in Tucson. We haven't been there since pre-Covid, and a lot has changed. Their small, previously crowded dining room was replaced by spacious booths separated by walls. They have also added some amazing murals by a local Tucson artist. They still have a small outdoor patio with additional seating. We were lucky and when we dropped by for lunch on a recent Saturday, they had a booth available. Their menu has changed slightly but still offers delicious pizzas, pastas, salads, and appetizers. My boyfriend loved his white pizza and my baked spaghetti was incredible. The portions were definitely hearty. They ask that you make reservations for dinner. They also do a brisk take-out business.

Sabri D.

Yelp
Our first time at Rene's. The service was incredible and the food was fantastic!!! Definitely on our list of favorite restaurants in Tucson.

Yelp
What an amazing little bistro. Reservations strongly recommended due to how limited seating there is, but the food and service are worth the visit. I also enjoyed the eclectic design. When in the area we'll be back.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at Renee's. We did make a reservation in advance. The salads were made fresh and very flavorful! I really enjoyed the apple walnut one. Both entrees were delicious. Highly recommend adding chicken to the fettuccine Alfredo. The chocolate cake was a little rich for my personal taste but still delicious! It was the perfect place for a romantic evening. Between the fabulous service and low light ambiance we couldn't have asked for a better night!

Yelp
We go at least once a month when in Tucson, Usually get the House Focaccia (great) and Zucchini "Noodle" Pasta Primavera (always excelelnt), but at last visit got the Pan Seared Chicken Breast and it was the best chicken dish I have had in years! Service always excellent. Norm S.

Yelp
During the week for lunch, my wife and I decided to have our lunch date here, and it did not disappoint. I like that customers can sit inside or alfresco. Our waitress was friendly, and the place was clean. I ordered the My wife had the pan-seared chicken breast in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce, and this was easily the best selection. The chicken was made perfectly, and the dish had a lot of flavor. After seeing that the Tailored Tony was on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives", made my choice clear. I would give this a pass. The bottom of the focaccia was burned. On a positive note, I enjoy that they support local businesses, as the protein in my meal came from Arizona grass-fed ground beef. I also like that they have a Danny Martin mural! I recommend Renee's, and next time, I will try one of their pizzas and their meatballs & jalapeño cream.

Maritess H.

Yelp
Don't go here is u have over 4 people My family was excited to try a new Italian place and we rudely got turned down because they can't seat more than 4 people very frustrating and very rude costumer service

Yelp
High quality food overall, but at a steep price point. I've ordered from Renee's a couple of times and haven't been disappointed. The food quality overall is excellent and so are the flavor profiles. I suspect I'm going to be happy with just about anything I get there. I recently ordered a calzone and meatball sub (aka grilled cheese + meatball addition). The sub was very unique with strong flavor. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a new take on an old classic. The calzone needed more ricotta, but was good overall. I could taste the fresh toppings. One thing I didn't particularly care for was the red sauce, but I'm fickle about that so don't let it deter you. Although it's good, there is a high price. While the meatball sub was excellent, it's $17.50 and wouldn't fill up a guy my size. Adding sausage to the pizza was a whopping $7 upgrade on a 12" pie. Good sausage, but I can't say I'll pay for that upgrade next time. The two entrées I ordered came to $37.10 after tax, and they both fit on one plate at my house. See the picture for details. If I had eaten there I'd be looking at $45+ after tip without a drink. Overall I'd consider this a nice place to treat myself on a special occasion, but can't really afford to make it part of my regular routine. Give it a try if you're looking for strong flavor and unique takes.

Yelp
Amazing food. I had the lasagna. I wasn't sure if I should try the calzone or the lasagna. The waitress said the lasagna. When she said ooey gooey cheese I was like done I'll get that! Cute little joint. So glad I came across this place. Thought it was reasonable price as well. I'm in town visiting fault and will be back!

Yelp
We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, but it's seems that every time we are in Tucson, usually with a party of 5 or more, there are no reservations left by the time we call on the same day. This time, there were only 3 of us, and fortunately there were reservations left and we finally got to enjoy Renee's incredible food. We started with The Tailored Tony, which is not on their appetizer list, but rather on their sandwich list, but it made for a perfect appetizer. It's an open-faced sandwich with ground beef in marinara, roasted red peppers, and Mozzarella on Parmesan crusted focaccia. It was a great way to start the meal. We then shared a Chiles & Cream Pizza and the Penne Pesto pasta with chicken added. Both dishes were executed perfectly. To finish the meal, we shared a Lemon Posset which was one of the simplest, but most delicious desserts I've had in a while. It's like a Panna Cotta, but instead of using gelatin to set it, apparently it's just lemons, sugar and cream and the citrus in the lemons sets it. It was super light and creamy, and delicious! This is a small restaurant, with a quiet, casual yet elegant feel to it. This could simultaneously be the perfect place for a romantic dinner, casual night out with friends, or that special occasion. The service, provided by Renee, was top notch. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've had takeout from Renee's a couple of times. This was the first dine-in experience. The food was delicious. We had the Caprese Board ($10) with gluten-free baguette (+$5) to start, and it was plenty for the 4 of us. Beautiful yellow heirloom tomatoes! It's so flavorful. I opted for the famous Spinach Dip Calzone ($17), as seen on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. It was bigger than expected and delicious. My wife opted for the spaghetti ($15.50). However, the gluten-free paste was penne. She enjoyed it very much and finished the bowl and soaked up the last bits of suace with a leftover piece of the baguette! Our other companions enjoyed their Zucchini "Noodle" (zoodle) Pasta Primavera (GF) alfredo, and star dish of the table Lasagna ($20). The foccaicia that came with the lasagna was so enticing that another piece was ordered ($2.5). Service was good, tho it took a little longer than expected to waive down our server to order the extra foccaicia. All in all, it was a good experience. I am looking forward to returning.

Yelp
After an over due visit I finally went to Renee's. After looking at previous reviews I made sure to make a reservation for inside. Even though it was a week day night and I'm glad I did. Very small quaint place great if you enjoy a quiet atmosphere where you can hear the other people in your party. Our waitress Jennifer seemed to be probably the only waitress as I saw her also waiting the tables outside. She did make sure to greet us, provide water and we ended up ordering our drinks, appetizer and food all at one due to having a bit of a wait which was fine. We ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer which unfortunately made this a 3 star review. A lot of the larger ones were undercooked and still had uncooked dough in the middle. The smaller ones were fine but Renee's has been open for quite some time and it's shocking to see this item not done correctly. The food was decent, we ordered the chicken zoodles in cream sauce and also the zoodeles with meatballs with pesto. I loved the chicken, chicken was done perfectly and just the right amount of noodles and sauce The meatballs cost an extra $8.50 which my husband only got 3 meatballs that were normal sized and felt there was minimal pesto but the meatballs were good and the dish overall was well done Unfortunately our waitress never once asked how our meal was so we could explain and show the undercooked food and just took our plates away once we were finished. Overall maybe great for pizza, be cautious of things being undercooked and if you're big on service this might not be the place for you.

Yelp
Someone recently asked me if I had a recommendation for a restaurant with variety in Tucson and I said yes, go to Renee's. I recently tried the comfort box, it was really good. A little taste of several dishes, and I love finger foods so this was appetizing to me. Have you tried Renee's? They've got sone tasty plates. Comfort food box $28 Spinach artichoke dip, pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and ciabatta with marinara.

Yelp
Wanted to try out somewhere I hadn't been for lunch. A friend suggested this place and looking at the Yelp reviews, it was promising. My buddy got a pizza (Old Town) and I got a sandwich (The Tailored Tony). They both looked great. We both ended up taking some home. I enjoyed my sandwich but being on crusted focaccia bread, it was kinda tough when it got to the outside. The toppings were fantastic. Apparently this sandwich was featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". My buddy enjoyed the pizza (I stole piece for the review of course), and it was wonderful. He added ground beef meatballs because we are not cows and need out protein (come on its a joke). The place is really small so it could be a challenge to get in at a normal time. We went at lunchtime during the week and sat outside (one of those weird August days that was not hellishly hot). I would love to come back here sometime later and try some of the more traditional Italian fare (e.g. Lasagna, Ravioli).

Yelp
Wow! What an unexpected treat! Small, quaint style setup/seating. The food was absolutely amazing! We started with the meatball and jalapeño cream and the "Oh honey Board" which features organically onsite baked bread served with Fiore de Capra organic chevre, dos manos apiares local honey and green apples! Wow what a delite!! For dinner we had the meat lasagna, penne arrabbiata and veggie gluten free pizza with sausage . All made in-house including the pasta and perfectly cooked! The icing on the cake wasn't even the yummy cherry cheesecake, it was the superior service that our sever Bailey provided. You could tell she worked a long day and likely couldn't wait to get home yet she was super attentive, sweet and eager to please! I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and colleagues and will be sure to stop by the next time I visit Tucson!!

Yelp
I'm not sure the hype over this restaurant. I wasn't able to go inside because I have a 3 year old and they only allow 12 and older indoors. We dined on the patio (located on a strip mall). I ordered the Tailored Tony and the Apricot Tea. It was like spaghetti sauce served on hard bread. The chips are an afterthought and definitely don't add to the dish. They should serve with a side salad instead. Everything on the menu is overpriced ($24 for a pizza). Yelpers let me down here.

Yelp
The pizza was amazing with a perfectly crispy crust, delicious sauce, and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. Service was quick and friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. Definitely one of the best pizza spots I've been to in a while.

Yelp
Best Italian food I've had in a long time! Simple menu done to perfection, lasagna was well balanced between meat and pasta without being overly reliant on cheese to make it taste good. Marinara sauce was well seasoned and not overly salty. Fettuccini Alfredo was excellent, again a well balanced sauce not too heavy in cream or butter but seasoned to perfection. So glad we stumbled on this place while visiting Tucson!

Yelp
We are back! Loved the meals we had here! Be sure to make a reservation as seating is limited, but once at your table, great service. Our meals included glass of Pinot noir, gluten-free baguette, paste with pesto, meatballs, cheese ravioli with focaccia and zucchini noodle dish. All was comfortable and with delicious meals.
