REQUINQUER

"Soichi Furuya seeks out the attractions and possibilities of French cuisine while staying in touch with current trends. Terrine de foie gras is a speciality that keeps customers coming back. Soups and crepes made using vegetables that don’t meet JA size regulations support farmers. The various set menus focused on the unique traits of Japanese-French fusion cuisine excite diners. The restaurant’s name means ‘be of good cheer’, and indeed REQUINQUER invigorates diners and food producers alike." - Michelin Inspector

A friend in Japan made a reservation and took me there. The first floor is a very small restaurant with three tables that can seat two people. We were greeted with a towel with the store's name on it♡ The dishes in the course were all beautiful to look at and, of course, delicious.I thought the little things, like combining abalone with fruit sauce, were really professional. The waiters were young and refreshing and I liked their service. It's not a restaurant I visit often, but it's one I would recommend to everyone!

At this exquisite French restaurant, every moment was an indulgence. The impeccable service added an extra layer of sophistication to the nouveau cuisine experience. The waiter's explanations of each dish in English not only elevated the dining experience but also showcased a dedication to ensuring every guest felt truly welcomed and informed. The star of the meal, aside from the tantalizingly innovative dishes, was undoubtedly the exceptional wine selection, each pour meticulously curated to complement and enhance the flavors of the meal. Overall, a gastronomic journey characterized by stellar service, innovative cuisine, and an exceptional wine collection, leaving a lasting impression of culinary brilliance.

Every dish was very good. I can feel the thoughts and effort that went into each dish. Got very full at the end.

Dishes are based on casual ideas; keeping away from traditions, not insisting on innovations, enjoying life, not insensitive. Those are so French that rebuilding and harmonizing scenes & seasons, scents to aftertaste. Joining their daily creation is fun and tasty.

Had a wonderful dinner here yesterday. Food presentation was amazing. Taste was amazing as well. The chef is Japanese and he a master of his skills. The presentation was with the hint of japan. The whole meal was amazing course after course and dessert was out of this world as you can taste all the different taste at the same time. I also loved the cannele served with the coffee.

I have been to over twenty Michelin-started restaurants in Tokyo, and amongst those, Requinquer clearly stands amongst the best. The service was not only friendly, but genuine in its enthusiasm, where some other restaurants seem to have but a veneer of warmth. The food was not only delicious, a basic expectation which is nevertheless unmet at some other restaurants, but inventive. I was surprised and delighted by meal I was served— I will refrain from posting photos so that others may enjoy the surprise as I did. But I look forward to returning to Requinquer very soon (something which, for the price, is not easily said).

Great course. Some dishes were better than others, but they were all excellent.
