Reserve 101

I had the R101 Old Fashioned and R101 Clarified Sour. Both were excellent. I loved how they were boozy and yet so smooth and rounded at the same time. I particularly liked how spacious it was, and the location is very central. Love the ambience too.

Reserve 101 delivered an experience that was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elevated, and full of energy, striking that perfect balance between refined and relaxed. The service was impeccable—the staff knew their craft and made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first visit. Every recommendation was spot on, and the attention to detail in presentation and hospitality truly stood out. Now, let’s talk about the drinks—phenomenal. I had quite possibly the best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had: bold, balanced, and smooth, with just the right touch of citrus and bitters. My wife ordered a peach sidecar, and it was vibrant, fresh, and beautifully crafted. We both took our time with every sip—each one was worth savoring. We’ll absolutely be back. Reserve 101 has officially made its way to the top of our go-to list for a great night out in the city

Very cool whiskey bar in downtown Houston. We stopped here for one drink & sat at the bar. Their holiday bar looked interesting so we got an old fashioned, clarified old fashioned (that comes out clear after going through a milk wash) and their spiked hot chocolate. I don’t usually go for the hot chocolate drinks but I tried some from my nephew and was MIND blown. It was so rich & creamy & buttery from the graham crackers. One of the best spiked hot chocolates I have ever had. Great quality drinks, great service, great ambiance! Will definitely be back here!

First time customer and I was impressed with the vibe.. Dive like feel with class!! As chill as a low key lounge with the vibes of an upscale bar/club...

In town for a conference and stopped in for a couple drinks. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. Outstanding selection of spirits. The collection is well curated and exclusive.

The decor is fantastic. The selection of spirits is great and the people who take care of you there are exceptional. I consider this the top bar in Houston. Also, they carry bottles that are rare from private collections that you would never be able to try at a “bar”. The folks who craft the cocktails have an extensive knowledge of the proper way to make the best drink possible. Cheers to all the folks who make this spot go!

Have y’all seen the upgraded Reserve 101? It’s beautiful and full of all of the amazingness of the former space. A wonderful bar to visit for all of your downtown adventures, it’s easily walkable from major attractions like Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, and Discovery Green. I most recently visited on a Sunday night, and the vibes, music, and other guests were fantastic (along with the most epic whiskey selection!) Izzy and the team were on top of things, and I can’t wait to come back soon. Be sure to ask about their Single Barrel Sundays … you won’t be disappointed!

First time back in about 8 years, and the bar got a face-lift! I think it was a great move as the old space was nice, it definitely gave "drinking with grandpa" vibes. The atmosphere is more welcoming to younger crowds but has some refinement. I had two really great drinks (Clarified NY Sour and Okami Hana); service was pretty slow with the first, but the staff was incredibly nice. Prices are in line for Houston. Huge whiskey selection, so it's a must for any lover.
