15 Places To Have A Unique Dining Experience In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"While you won’t eat anything remarkable for lunch at Restaurant 917, you will get front-row seats to a thrilling car show. This daytime spot is located on the second floor of the Porsche Experience Center in Carson, the official driving school of the luxury car company. As you eat dishes like crab spaghetti or a wagyu beef burger in the casual dining room, sports cars will whizz by at 110 mph on the track down below. Most people come here to drift a Porsche 911 with a birthday crew, but the restaurant is still a fun place to sip a martini and have a light bite even if you don’t plan on getting behind the wheel." - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins

Restaurant 917 - Review - Carson - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Chances are, your lunch routine is more predictable than a Hallmark holiday movie. So every once in a while, it’s natural to crave a thrill. Like, say, drifting a Porsche 911 Turbo and eating a power lunch at Restaurant 917. The posh, light-filled spot is on the second floor of the Porsche Experience Center in Carson, the official driving school of the sports car company. If you’re looking for the kind of memorable daytime meal where you can feel sensations from more than just the food, drop by this place for an upscale lunch. Once you’re seated in the handsomely decorated dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, the first thing you’ll notice is the racetrack. The restaurant overlooks a smooth speedway dotted with dirt mounds and water-lined straightaways, designed for thrill-seekers to test the limits of German engineering. Booking a driving experience here costs anywhere from $500-$2500 depending on the package you choose, but the restaurant itself is open to the public (and slightly less expensive). photo credit: Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles While you probably won’t eat anything remarkable during your lunch at Restaurant 917, you'll be served a solid meal while sports cars whiz by at 110 mph on the track below. The short menu includes a selection of starters and entrees, like hamachi crudo and crab spaghetti with pesto, as well as heartier choices like a wagyu burger and a 10 oz bone-in pork chop. It’s all basically “international food at a fancy hotel,” but it’s also your best bet for a full-service fine dining lunch in the area. Whatever you do, don’t skip the creative dessert menu. The highlight of our meal was the blueberry and toasted corn paris-brest—a light, ring-shaped pastry with a flaky outer shell and creamy corn custard filling. A meal at Restaurant 917 is almost like a lunch and show matinee, and there isn’t much else like it in LA. It might not be the absolute best food in the city—but that’s not the point. You come here to watch sports car racing from the comfort of your seat, eat Porsche-shaped butter, and enjoy service that skews north of impeccable. Even if you don’t plan on getting behind the wheel, this is a fun place to bring a car-loving friend on their birthday or just sip a craft cocktail and order a small plate or two on your day off. Food Rundown photo credit: Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles Bread & Butter The butter at Restaurant 917 is no ordinary butter. Shaped like a Porsche 911 Turbo, it’s got the smooth finish of an ancient sculpture that’s been carved out a marble block. This very special butter is dusted with sea salt and served with a side of warm table bread. Hamachi Crudo The hamachi is fresh and light, but the heavy toppings totally overpower this crudo. There’s wasabi tobiko, smoked ginger, and a hibiscus ponzu with the sweetness of maple syrup. Skip this and try one of the other raw appetizers instead. photo credit: Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles 917 Burger Blazened with the “917” logo, this wagyu bacon cheeseburger with caramelized onions is equal parts squishy and toasty. It’s officially the best burger you can get at a racetrack. Dungeness Crab Spaghetti The best part of eating this gooey pasta dish is hunting for the tender bits of crab. The basil pesto cream is great too, but the gummy and slightly overcooked spaghetti gets a little tiresome after the first couple of bites. photo credit: Nikko Duren Toasted Corn Paris-Brest Much like riding in a Porsche or drinking fine vintage wine, luxuries like eating this flaky cream-filled pastry don’t come along very often. So we suggest you savor it." - Nikko Duren

At Restaurant 917, a Polished Lunch and Fast Porsches on Display - Eater LA

"Restaurant 917 has been a secret haven for polished cooking for over five years. Anyone driving down the 405 near the 110 intersection might see a curious sight on the southern side. A building with the large name of Porsche and an array of driving tracks sits just next to the busy freeway looking like a fancy car dealership with a testing ground attached. But the Porsche Experience Center, one of just two in the United States, is a special place to drive fast cars without fear of getting a speeding ticket, and also one of the most underrated places to get lunch in Los Angeles. Restaurant 917 opened five years ago featuring Porsche 911-shaped pats of butter and seasonal fare. With years of operation under its belt and an enthusiastic kitchen team that has stayed the course, 917 has rounded into a consistent, reliable South Bay gem. There’s even an impressive pastry program pushing fine dining-level desserts in this part of town." - Matthew Kang

To celebrate our anniversary, we dined here and enjoyed the scenic view of the track from our window table. We both ordered burgers, which were tasty, but the bread was a bit crumbly. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff members who even surprised us with a slice of lemon cake to mark our anniversary. While the bread was a letdown, the overall experience was excellent.

This is a really cool experience. I have reservations prior to coming, but I didn’t know that you needed to book or make reservations to drive the cars around the track so that’s one thing we didn’t get a chance to do, but we got a chance to look at all of the vintage Porsches that they had in the showroom. We went upstairs and was seated. We got lunch, which was OK. The burger was pretty good. Put you in the mind of In-N-Out we got a seat next to the window so we were able to enjoy our meal and watch the cars go around the track. They have a outside patio area connected to the restaurant where you can go outside and look over at the track and you can also go outside towards the track from the downstairs area. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I definitely would recommend

In general pretty good. I got Jirodi Chicken, sauce was really good but chicken was dry and hard to chew( I’d change breast to boneless thighs). Cute butter and nice view

I’ve been wanting to go here with my hubby for more than a year now, and finally got the chance to go. The food was good. We came as a walk in on a Saturday (June 28) @12pm, and were seated within 10 minutes at a table (we told the front desk we were willing to wait until a table became available since we didn’t want to sit at the bar). Unfortunately we didn’t get window seats, but those definitely seem to be the best seats; if you plan on going in advance(with reservation), I recommend asking them for window seating… but even if you don’t get window seating, there’s a balcony you can go to after you’re done eating; it was really entertaining seeing the Porsches drive around the track, and some drivers even being confident enough to drift or do donuts lol. Our server was amazing. My hubby and I both got the Wagyu burger, and got the truffle topping on our fries, and he got a sweet tea— the total before the tip came out to be $125. Good food, and good atmosphere, I’ll be coming back for Valentine’s Day.🫶🏼

Google
An amazing experience to say the least! I had the burger and my only complaint is the bread. Not it. It falls apart pretty easy. Everything else was great! Coffee was great!

Google
Worth the experience hands down . Tay will give you the greatest service there can be , she'll go above and beyond and her recommendations were on point ! Food was great , the tartare and burger had amazing flavor , definitely recommend 10/10. Will be back soon

This was my second visit to the restaurant, conveniently situated on the second floor, offering the unique experience of dining in elegance while watching Porsche test drives. The staff at the restaurant are exceptionally courteous, kind, and refined. The cuisine served here pairs wonderfully with alcohol, featuring richly flavored dishes. They also offer non-alcoholic cocktails for drivers, ensuring everyone's needs are catered to. Given the exceptional setting and service, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.

Delicious dishes. Delightful service. Enjoyable ambiance. Exceeded expectations. Though we booked driving experiences months ahead of time, we were surprised to hear the restaurant was booked even farther back and, therefore, unable to make reservations on the same day as our driving. The awesome host—Jesus—suggested we arrive as early as possible and he would try his best to get us a seat. Fortunately, he was able to deliver, granting us a table right when the restaurant opened! His kindness, quality service, and attentive care not only made our dining experience more memorable but also positively added to our overall experience at PEC!

Yelp
Would get again: caulini, mushrooms, squash blossoms Tried: short rib pasta, duck, eggplant Try next time: dessert Pretzel bread and butter complimentary and amazing

Yelp
ORDER 917 burger (5/5) short ribs ragu (4/5) the burger was so good! we upgraded the fries to the duck fat fries, which was so worth it. the burger was flavorful and juicy. the short ribs ragu was good as well. it was super meaty and was the perfect serving size. the prices were reasonable as well.. everything was delicious and filling. SERVICE our server was nice, but i wish we got better service. as soon as we got seated, we were offered water. after that, we waited awhile before our order was actually taken. i noticed the complimentary pretzel and butter was given basically when other guests got seated, but we didn't get ours until a lot later. aside from explaining the daily specials and taking our order, our server was not the most attentive. the restaurant is relatively small, so i expected better service. overall, not bad but i was expecting better. AMBIANCE you get a nice view of the track no matter where you sit! plenty of parking.

Yelp
This is the 3rd time coming and the burger IS STILL THE BEST BURGER IVE HAD EVER. My boyfriend and I had our first date here, we came back for our 1 year anniversary and just recently came back this year for our second anniversary. The restaurant is still stunning and everyone is so welcome and attentive EVERY time. The service is absolutely top tier. I love getting to come here, and I can't wait to keep coming back'

Yelp
Surprise birthday dinner was a hit! Burger 10/10, duck fat fries 6/10 (too much garlic), short rib ragu (9/10), pretzel bread & butter 10/10. This whole experience was amazing with a great view of the track. Staff were very attentive and friendly!

Yelp
Service was A+ our waitress had so much character and made great conversation with us. She answered questions with great detail and checked in on us multiple times. The hostess were also very friendly. Overall service from everyone was great! The butter was so cute! It was literally shaped like a Porsche! We got the scallops and octopus for appetizers. Both very delicious. My mom really enjoyed the sauce with the scallops. Everyone ordered the 917 burger but I ordered the duck with a side of duck fat fries. The burgers looked good and came with fries and portion was pretty big and the meat was wagyu. They seemed to enjoy it. The duck was pretty good as well, very flavorful. But my favorite had to be the duck fat fries! So flavorful, my parents were munching on my fries instead of their plain ones that came with the burger. While you eat there is view of the track and an observation deck watch the cars go. That was really fun to watch. I had to make reservations a few months in advance to go on a Saturday. Check on open table 2-3 months before your desired date and you can also call and maybe they can fit you in as well.

The ambiance was spectacular and the service was pretty fast. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. The food was so good!

Yelp
We'd heard good things about the restaurant at the Porsche Experience Center and were disappointed we couldn't book a table when my husband made his drive appointment, like a month in advance. As it turns out, reservations are scarce but you can totally walk in, as we did this past Saturday. I'm guessing a lot of tables are set aside for the drive experience customers, who spend hundreds of dollars to go around a track and might appreciate a place to sit and eat. My husband's drive wrapped up at 11:00, along with all the other 9:30 appointments, and we stopped by Restaurant 917 just in case they had an opening for our party of four. We were seated immediately. The space was great, sunny and relaxing with a view of the track, though no one was driving at that particular hour. The vibe was a little businessy, a little upscale chain hotel lobby, with good service and a full bar. No one was mad that we were there with small kids. In fact, they both got Porsche coloring books and crayons when we sat down. We got a round of drinks and they were both nice and refreshing. The Tropical Drift was a sweet tall cocktail with Kikkori whiskey, peach, and tropical tea. The Ruby Star was a breezy tequila drink with Tequileño, hibiscus flower, yuzu, and ginger. The food was solid, starting with some pretzel bread served with butter and salt. The butter was shaped into a pair of Porsches (don't ask me what model), which was kind of a cute detail. My husband and I shared a scallop crudo, which was pretty delicious. Silky raw scallop with strawberry, cherry tomato, jalapeño, cucumber, avocado, cilantro, tangerine oil, and a zippy green aguachile sauce. I got the 917 burger for my entrée, and this was decent, with an 8 oz. wagyu patty, garlic aioli, bacon, caramelized onion, and gruyère. It needed some acid and tasted much better when I borrowed some jalapeño from the crudo. I paid to upgrade the side of fries to duck fat fries with truffle salt, garlic aioli, and herbs. I liked the seasoning and herbs, but the fries were soft and pale. The kids got butter pasta and chicken tenders with fries, and their fries were better than mine. I wouldn't go out of my way for Restaurant 917, but I was glad to get lunch there when we were already at the Porsche Experience Center. Don't be intimidated by the dearth of reservations. If you're a Porsche customer, they want you to have the car-shaped butter.

Yelp
Pretzel bread: 5/5 would come back just for the bread and butter Burger 4/5: very juicy and cooked to order. Was a little overpriced but you're there mostly for the experience. I can for a work lunch

Yelp
Today was a wreck at the 917. First time at PEC so wanted to check out the options. The helpful gentleman at visitor check in recommended i see the restaurant. I was a single so hostess sat me at the bar by request. Then it got weird, I became invisible. The bartender(s) said Nothing to me. For like a while. It was literally uncomfortable silence. No hello. No be right with you, just making cocktails but not friends. After about 5 minutes I went back to the hostess to let her know I'd been ignored for that whole time. Bartender finally acknowledged me and gave a half hearted apology and excuse about busy finishing an order. No multi tasking here. I ordered a beer and hit the balcony to watch the track / cars. Cool. Came back and the mess at the chair next to me was still there. Jeez for a VHE very high end establishment wtfudge. No water offered yet despite an empty glass. Ordered some duck fat fries. Duck Confit was delivered. Yikes, amateur hour. Manager asked if I received any bread. Nope. Crash and Burn my hide. And now it gets good, better. The pretzel stix and butter (shaped like little porches) was Excellent. When the fries came out, they were hot crispy and smelled divine. The flavor was also very deep. So the kitchen was on point. After signing my bill, tender asked if I'd like some water. Talk about difficulty getting off the line. I would certainly give them another try, but the hospitality today was Out of GAS.

Yelp
On arrival me and my husband were greeted and signed into the the Porsche experience center. We informed the front desk attendant that we were there for the restaurant. The restaurant is located around the corner upstairs from the entrance. When me and my husband arrived upstairs we were not greeted at all we just stood at the checkin desk while the 2 hostesses carried on with their conversation. It would have been great if they simply made eye contact and said one moment please. Once seated the server came to take our order, but I realized after it was all said and done we were not offered any bread and butter. That would have been nice as I was starving and was drinking wine on an empty stomach. We both ordered the burger with duck fat fries. The fries were very rich but delicious. We enjoyed the burger as well but wish it had pickles and tomato. The bill was about $115. It was nice watching the cars on the track while dining although I do not think I will be back. The service is a bit lacking for this price point. The food was delicious but I will not be going out of my way due to the inconsistent service.

Yelp
If you have never been to this restaurant, stop by. You will love it. Food is good, and people are great. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Took my family here and we all enjoyed the food and getting to watch the cars on the track at the same time. We even got to explore a bit down stairs before heading up to the restaurant for our reservation. Overall a very cool experience--perfect for car enthusiasts!
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
Highly recommend eating here if you enjoy watching Porsche cars on the racetracks. You can also book the Porsche experience if you want to drive the cars. The restaurant is in high demands and the soonest reservations is 3-4 months out. My partner and I really enjoyed the experience. There's a cafe on the first floor if you can't get a reservation and still want to enjoy some food with a view. I got the Wagyu burger and thought it was pretty standard nothing special. My partner got the steak and enjoyed it. The food was good but wasn't the highlight of the part. You get complimentary pretzels with butter shaped Porsche. I thought that was pretty cool.

Yelp
WOW!!! First timers and we loved our experience! This place books up quickly so keep checking their website for reservation slots. My fiancé made reservations three months in advance. The race track can be seen from all tables but of course the best view is anywhere by the window. Service was a 10/10. Everyone was beyond friendly and made some great recommendations. FOOD/DRINKS: *Pretzel Bread w/Butter - This is complimentary. The bread was warm and soft. The butter was shaped like a Porsche which was very cute! *Peach & Tamarind Mulita - This was my favorite drink! I've never had a peach and tamarind mule before and it was very good. It's great if you don't want a super sweet drink. *Blueberry Basil Margarita - The blueberry and basil combo was delicious. Very refreshing too. *Hamachi Crudo - Beautiful dish! Each bite was packed with flavor. The yellowtail was fresh. I loved the smoked ginger and garlic bits on top. *6oz Hangar Steak - The steak was sooo tender and I enjoyed the chimichurri. The mashed potatoes were well seasoned. *Maine Lobster Pasta - Delicious! The lobster was a decent size and cooked perfectly. The sauce was creamy and the capers added a nice tang to the dish. *Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar - It tasted like an elevated Reese's cup with ice cream. If you love the peanut butter & chocolate combo, you'll love this one.

Yelp
Amazing from beginning to the end. Thank you front desk for being so accommodating. My appointment was at 1 PM but we were early because we did the demonstration lap at the experience center which is just downstairs and outside. We went at 12pm and they took us in. Really thankful. Food was amazing all around! Love everything from the complimentary bread to the main entree of any beef. Thank you staff for small gift of banana bread for our anniversary at the end of the meal. The steak was soft at medium rare and was cooked perfectly. Nothing else to say but amazing amazing experience all around! I would come back again!
google avatar

Kathy X.

Yelp
I was not expecting much from this restaurant, I thought the restaurant would be more of an afterthought to the race course. However, I was so pleasantly surprised! Overall, the food is really solid and decently priced, especially given how nice the restaurant is and how good the service is as well. The pretzel bread is so good, it comes out warm and the butter melts on top as you're spreading it! I ordered the chicken breast, and it was actually really tender! The beef tartare is also really good, even though it doesn't look the most appetizing. My husband and I enjoyed the meal and had fun watching the race track as well! If you want to be seated right by the window, I recommend either getting an 11:30am reservation (right when they open) or around 1pm, once the first group starts clearing out.

Yelp
Good food and good views! To kill two birds with one stone, I had made a reservation here for after my girlfriend's demo lap for her birthday. The restaurant isn't hard to find, there's a "917" sign in the hallway around the corner from the restrooms. You'll see down the hallway to the left of the cafe if you're coming from the gift shop. We checked in with the host a few minutes prior to our reservation and got seated shortly after. There are big windows where you get a nice view of the track below. There's also a small area where you can go outside and have a good view (and hear the cars). There aren't many items on the menu so it made it easier for us to choose. I ordered the 917 Old Fashion, my girlfriend ordered the Pineapple Pisco Sour, and we both ordered the 917 Burger. While waiting, we received water (you get a few options for water) and pretzel bread. The verdict? - 917 Old Fashion: Fat-washed woodinville bourbon and angostura butters. I'm a whiskey guy and loved it. Basic and to the point, my kind of drink. Alcohol forward 8). - Pineapple Pisco Sour: Pisco, pineapple juice, lemon cordial, egg white, and tajin. I only took a small sip, it was sweet but good. My girlfriend enjoyed it (all of it). - 917 Burger: 8oz American wagyu beef, caramelized onions, raclette cheese, smoked bacon, garlic aioli, and fries. By default it is cooked medium rare, but when it came out more medium. It was a big, juicy burger and it was a little bit messy. The garlic aioli definitely helped enhance the flavor, it was good. The fries were good. - Pretzel Bread: I had to absolutely mention these. They were decent sized and I loved them. The included butter were molded little Porsches and the flakes of salt were good. Complimentary. We liked them so much that we went through 2 baskets of them. Service was good. The woman who sat us was extremely friendly, like too friendly. Our server was nice as well and checked up on us every so often. A good place for a date, especially if combo'd with a driving experience or demo lap. Reservations are a must!

Yelp
Food: My wife took me here for a birthday lunch because of my love for cars and it did not disappoint. The octopus and the duck confit was our favorites. Loved how the butter was shaped like mini Porsches. Service: Amazing service this place is booked several months in advance and the manager was kind enough to accommodate us last minute with the changes. My wife and I are super thankful for the service. Ambiance: Truly the highlight the restaurant is amazing if you are an enthusiast the experience itself is breath taking. I could sit there all day and watch that view. The entire experience center is breath taking highly recommend it as this is one of the coolest things in the South Bay.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful service. Tay was fantastic. She made honest recommendations and was very attentive accommodating and friendly. Def made my experience amazing. The restaurant has great views of the track. They have a full bar and can pretty much make whatever you'd liked. Try their famous corn mousse. It's so unique you won't find it anywhere else but here!

Yelp
First timer here and I loved it! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in providing us directions to get to restaurant 917 located on the second floor. The host stand is right in the front and we had reservations and were seated right away. Complimentary bread and butter was delivered promptly by our waiter and it was delicious. The bread is pretzel style and the butter melted in the bread! We ordered the 917 burger and it was juicy and thick and we enjoyed every bite. Also, it was entertaining seeing people driving around the Porsche track. After lunch we walked around and explored the first level where you can find the gift shop, a cafe, and many porche's. P.S- you can find parking on the street or parking lot.

Yelp
We put our name down for a table. After 1 full hour of wait, they told us we can only seat at the bar while there are plenty of emptied tables. If we have known this was the case, we wouldn't have waited an hour. The attitude of the hostesses and the manager were horrible.

Tanisha T.

Yelp
Omg I love this resturant and the attention to detail. The employees are all nice and friendly. It's nice to watch the cars race around the track while dining. The decor is nice and warm, the seating is comfortable. *they do not skimp on the shrimp (they're jumbo) *the Gem salad (not pictured) was nice and refreshing with a touch of sweet. *my favorite cocktail is the strawberry margarita (I don't think it's on the menu). Hailey made on for me at the bar, so I just ask if I can get the Hailey strawberry margarita. *they do offer meals for kids if you dine with kiddos

Yelp
Truly a joy! The accommodations made were greatly appreciated with our specific circumstances. They showed no sweat and made us feel appreciated for being there. The restaurant is beautifully lit with natural sunlight. The tables are spacious and comfortable. Our server was so attentive, kind and genuinely sweet. The food was super yummy! We all agreed the tomato soup fed our souls, made us feel good inside! the ocean plate wow, I love the flavoring they added to the oysters and clams. We could not get enough of the bread and butter (so cute btw). The burgers were 10/10 delicious. The experience is so lovely watching and hearing all of the beautiful cars :) if you haven't I would definitely check this place out, I will be coming back again!

Yelp
I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Porsche Experience Center 917 Restaurant. I had booked a reservation months in advance for my husband's birthday, and they canceled the reservation on the day of--THREE HOURS before our scheduled time! Absolutely unacceptable. I tried calling multiple times to get some sort of explanation, but no one answered the phone. What a huge letdown. This was supposed to be a special occasion, and they completely ruined it. Never again. I expected better from a place with this reputation.

Yelp
Service: 10/10. Our server was beyond friendly and made us feel super comfortable. He gave us great recommendations. He was so good that we have to order multiple desserts and appetizers. He never made us feel rushed and was very informative im regards to the porsche experience and dining. Ambiance- excellent! The entire restaurant/ including restrooms were top notch clean. You get greeted upon walking in and do not have to wait no more than 2 minutes to get seated. Recommend- it is a MUST to make reservations as walk ins typically get seated in the bar area. If interested, make sure to stay on top of their calendar as you sometimes have to book 90 days in advance. They get booked quite rapidly. Food- delicious!! For our entree we decided to go with the 917 burger and let me tell you it was beyond delicious!!! The price point is excellent and quite an experience.

Yelp
tried out the restaurant at the Porsche experience, ordered the spanish octopus and 917 burger with a blueberry basil margarita. the bread and butter was complimentary and was super good, and even had butter shaped like 911s! the spanish octopus was the best thing--the octopus was very soft and the sauce in the dish was sooo delicious. the burger was okay and the fries tasted like they were out of the freezer unfortunately. also, we got charged for 9 dollar evian water when we weren't even made aware of this, just were asked "sparkling or still?" and we said still. thought it was coming from the tap, just like the people sitting at the next table had, but apparently not for some reason. kinda odd.

Yelp
The TikTok hype is no joke and I really need to stop with all the shenanigans. I've been here twice now and nothing has stood out food wise. So yes come for the experience and ambiance NOT the food. Their pork chop smells like cat pee! I thought it was just me but when my daughter said your food stinks and it smells like cat urine. I really should have sent it back cuz I could not get over the smell and only had a bite. The 2nd time I came to celebrate my bf's bday. His salmon smelled like FISH! Seafood ain't suppose to smell and even though he said it smelled he still ate it. The free bday chocolate cupcakes were a nice gesture BUT they were OLD and had a fridge taste! Their grilled peach and burrata salad is good but not good enough to drive 45 mins to get. Their Porsche shaped butter, chefs kiss! Other than that, I'd say just get their burger! Also, if you don't get a window table, it ain't worth it IMO!

Yelp
An experience like no other. I really like how they face the tables by the window to look out the window. It's actually very cool to see the cars on the track. It's very entertaining! Making a reservation was an easy process and the gentleman who was helping me, was extremely accommodating. The date I wanted, was the date I got, which was totally awesome! Checking in was easy and I also got reminder texts about my reservation. It's very organized and I appreciate that. Service was amazing. However, the food was just average - nothing spectacular that stood out. The bread and butter were actually the highlight. I love that the butter is in a shape of a car and the bread was yummy. But other than that, the food is pretty mediocre.

Yelp
Located on the second floor of the pristine Porsche Experience Center building, this restaurant is a first class experience in every respect...which I suppose should be expected from Porsche. Reservations are highly advised as it is often booked up several months in advance. Once you enter the building you must sign in as a visitor. There are test tracks here for people to pay to drive Porsches but you don't need to be doing this "experience" in order to eat at the restaurant; it's open to everyone. After going upstairs I was warmly greeted by a host and taken to a table at a window which overlooks the tracks so I could be entertained by Porsches driving and sliding during my meal. I passed on a starter and decided to just get an entree and dessert. But first - WINE. I got a glass of Argentinian malbec which I sipped throughout my meal. A large bottle of water was also brought to my table followed by a small basket of deliciously warm pretzel bread. The accompanying butter was molded in the shape of cars! This being lunch I ordered the wagyu burger with fries. The burger had caramelized onions, smoked bacon, lettuce, raclette cheese, and garlic aioli. All the flavors melded perfectly together but never overpowering the fantastic flavor of the thick beef patty. The beef was so tender I'm certain the cow must have been massaged daily at Burke Williams Spa. The accompanying thickish fries were presented in a little basket, crisp on the outside while soft and hot inside. Textbook perfect fries. Dessert was a no brainer. I went with the milk chocolate crémeux. This exquisitely presented dessert consisted of cocoa nib tuile, bourbon cookies, and malted milk ice cream. I fell in love with the ice cream and its vivid malted milk flavor. I wanted a huge bowl of it! It was like eating a cold, creamy Whopper but 100 times better. I had a latte with my dessert. Again, perfection. But I was mesmerized by the ice cream so barely remember it. The staff here were the epitome of professionalism. My waiter, Nestor, was attentive and personable with a wonderful sense of humor. He made my dining experience even more enjoyable. The cars here are cool too but it'll be the amazing food that will lure me back soon.

Yelp
What an incredible dining experience! We booked in advance since it does get pretty busy, especially on the weekends and we were seated immediately after our demo lap. Our server Camille took great care of us and sat us next to a window which was the best part: you got to watch all the people driving their laps while you dined, so fun! We watched so many people skid in and out of the water area, it was very cool to get to see the cars for an extended period of time since the demo lap was so brief. The dining experience was the real highlight of my experience here though. The hangar steak was perfectly cooked and the burger was juicy and delicious. The crudo was fresh and flavorful. I wish I had room for more than 1 dessert but the peanut butter chocolate bar with black pepper ice cream was absolutely delectable. The black pepper provided a lightly spicy, refreshing contrast to the richness of the peanut butter and chocolate. So yummy. My favorite part was the PORSCHE BUTTER. So freaking cute and right on theme, I love themed dining. This is such a great spot for a date! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I had a great time here! This is a fun place to visit for both those who are and aren't car enthusiasts! They have a balcony to watch the cars as you wait for them to prepare your table. It was such a cool experience watching two GT3RS cars side by side just floor it around the track multiple times. I booked my reservation well in advance to request a table by the window specifically to watch the cars drive by as we ate. Bummer they weren't able to accommodate and gave the wrong time estimate for tables opening up by the window. We ended up going downstairs to wait at the cafe for the next group of drivers to watch after we ate. The food here was great! We started with a refreshing Lychee Martini and Porsche-shaped butter and bread. The bread was warm and fresh. The burger was huge and I loved the green garlic aioli that they offered us. We also ordered dessert and the Tangerine Semifreddo was amazing! Can't recommend checking this place out enough. I can't wait to come back! Lychee Margarita 5/5 917 Burger 5/5 Tangerine Semifreddo 5/5

Yelp
An excellent way to finish a very fun day at the Porsche experience! This is the fine dining restaurant located at the Porsche experience. Pro tip: this restaurant is usually booked, but if you can't get a reservation, just ask the front desk at opening and sometimes you can get lucky! We did! The restaurant has an excellent view of the track so you can enjoy the action while eating great food. They have a good selection of cocktails. I went with the old fashioned. It's a solid drink not overly sweet. If you're a fan of the drink you won't be disappointed. For starters we went with the octopus, bone marrow, and the squash blossoms. They were all good however I'd say the squash blossoms are an elevated (and more expensive) crab Rangoon that you can get from any Chinese restaurant. The bone marrow was nice and fatty and mixed well with the corn, but my favorite was the octopus. Not overly chewy and paired with delicious spicy sausage. I'd definitely go with that. For entrees I went with the burger. It was overcooked. I asked for medium rare and received well done. The taste is fine. Nothing too special. The steak was cooked well and not overly salted. The salmon was fresh, not dry. For dessert, we went with the bourbon ice cream and passion sorbet. The passion sorbet is extremely tart so definitely watch out. I like a tart sorbet so I enjoyed it immensely. The bourbon ice cream is more bourbon than ice cream which was unexpected. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they were gracious enough to give us a banana bread dessert. It's tasty and bite sized! The staff is friendly and accommodating. All and all a great experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Restaurant 917 has great views of the Porsche handling circuit & always provides great customer service. Always a mainstay when visiting & their wagyu burger is incredible. They start you off with some soft pretzel sticks that my son loves to dip into the 'Porsche 911' shaped butter. Our waitress was very nice & gave him a coloring book & small pop-up map of the facility that he enjoyed. We had a pleasant experience for our lunch date at PECLA while watching the cars drive around the course.

Yelp
Such an AMAZING experience all thanks to our wonderful server! I had been eyeing this place for a few months and decided to take a gamble and make reservations. Luckily I was able to snag some despite them being 3 months away lol definitely recommend coming earlier in the day and a window seat to be able to get the full experience. The food was also an added bonus! We ordered the tar tar, which was recommended and so delish! The 917 burger is also cooked to perfection.

Yelp
What a special day! Daughter booked reservations here three months ago. So excited to finally dine here and watch the Porsche cars drive around the track. Car enthusiasts would really enjoy this restaurant! Need to check in at the counter, once you get inside. Then proceed to look around or go to the small shop in the corner to browse for Porsche merchandise while you wait... OR head up to the restaurant on the second floor and wait for your reservation time. I would suggest this so you can request a coveted window seat. You have to walk down the hall and up some stairs to the restaurant. Once you check in they seat you accordingly. We got a window seat!!! Staff was friendly and attentive. There's a variety of food selection on the menu. ( see menu pic) Food was served in a timely manner while you nibble on complimentary warm mini pretzel baguette with the cutest butter pad ever! Both of us ordered an appetizer and the hamburger. I had the beet salad which was fantastic. One of the most creative and tasty salad I've had. The flavors were well thought out, a surprise in every bite. Our burgers were well prepared but too big to eat the normal way since it was stacked high. Hence, we both ate it deconstructed. Bacon was perfectly crispy. All during the meal , we had fun watching the various drivers attempt the track and skid areas. I think you can book a driving experience . I bet it's pricey ... But, if you can afford a Porsche, it may be worthwhile to know the cars capabilities with a professional driver to help you. Afterwards, you can walk out to a balcony off the side upstairs and continue viewing the action on the track. Note that there is a small cafe on the first floor that you can view the track as well with outdoor seats too. View of the track is not as good though.

Yelp
My only downside was how far out you have to make a reservation, I went for my boyfriend's birthday so the wait was killing me and if I had missed the date 3 months prior I wouldn't have been able to make it for the weekend that I wanted Get yourself a window view if you can!! But the ambiance is nice during lunchtime anyways because of the huge windows overlooking the track bringing lots of sunlight in. Great service, the host was nice and friendly, and waitress was very attentive I'm obsessed with the pretzel bread with the cute little porsche butters here and wish I could've gotten more, definitely now my favorite complimentary bread ever Tuna poke was super gingery so if you're into that then this is really good, loved the little rice puff crackers too you need to eat every bite of poke with it because the flavor balance is so good The salmon could have used a little bit of some type of carb aside from just a few pieces of tomatoes and squash but this on top of the appetizer and bread was more filling than I thought

Yelp
Cool Porsche museum to walk thru. Restaurant is not big but has a great view of the track. The food and drinks were great! The service was attentive. We also had complimentary charging for our EV which was awesome. Overall, great experience!

Yelp
I made a reservation on opentable.com two months ago and I've been waiting for today to come. The luxurious restaurant atmosphere, Porsche cars parked outside that I could see through the window, and the wide track view captured my heart. I had 917 Burger and Clam Pasta. 917 Burger tasted superb with a juicy Wagyu patty. Clam Pasta tasted a bit salty, but it tasted good with Chardonnay. And I had Affogato for dessert, which was simple but the best for dessert. What I liked most about Restaurant 917 was the excellent service from the friendly staff. Camille, who was in charge of my table, and also Valencia, and Jesus all staff were professionally and friendly. They all made me want to come again. I wanted to try other foods on the menu besides the ones I tried today, but I couldn't eat more because I was full. I'll have to come back soon and try other foods. Highly Recommended!

Yelp
FOOD: 5 SERVICE: 5 AMBIANCE: 5 VALUE: 5 Restaurant 917 is located on the second floor of the Porsche Experience Center. It is well worth a visit even if you are not enjoying a driving experience. The food changes seasonally, but it's always fresh and tastily prepared. On this visit we had: Spanish octopus - octopus legs prepared with chorizo, chicharron, served with marble potatoes and sea beans over harissa aioli. Very tender and well balanced taste and textured dish. Crab fettuccine - Dungeness crab meat, black truffle over al dente fettuccine noodle with sweet corn, pancetta and tarragon. One of the best pasta dish I've had in a long time. Definitely slurp worthy noodles with generous amount of truffle. Hangar steak - Snake River farm is easily one of the better beef ranching farm. And this hangar steak is no exception, right balance of marbling and beefiness. My wife ordered it rare and it was buttery soft. Service is comparable to any Michelin starred restaurant and near faultless. Make reservation as they are often fully booked. Well worth a visit. And their cocktails are very good.

Yelp
I went to The Porsche Experience Center for their driving experience (I got to drive a Taycan and 911 Turbo!), which was hosted by my local dealership. Afterwards, they treated us to lunch at Restaurant 917, which is just straight-up ELEGANT. The décor is obviously sporty and Porsche-themed, but high-end from the moment you start walking up the stairs to the restaurant to the Host/Hostess Desk, to the bar, to the dining area. We had a group of about 12 so we had a team of people taking care of us. The "main" server and standout (which is hard to say because everyone was AMAZING) was Gina. Aside from having complete knowledge of the menu, she is just a ray of sunshine and makes you feel like royalty, but has a lot of spunk, too. The side salads are a good size, and the bread is right out of the oven and fantastic. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Porsche-shaped butter (cute yet elegant touch)! I had the Braised Beef Short Ribs, which were just melt-in-your-mouth perfect! Others chose the Salmon, which looked equally as fantastic. The bar is fully-stocked with just about anything you could imagine (I suggest one of the artisan cocktails), and they also have an impressive wine list, as well. If you prefer, they have an outside seating area where you can hang out and just watch all the cars and drivers. I noticed a lot of people looked like they were there strictly for the dining experience, and this place was packed the entire time I was there. With that being said, I would not go there without making a reservation first (which you can do from the website; they use OpenTable). This is a great spot for everyone, whether you're a car enthusiast or not. It would be tons of fun for a change of pace, a group of friends, or a nice date. I had no idea this place even existed, and am so glad I was invited to participate in this dealership-sponsored event. I cannot wait to go back there and just spend the afternoon hanging out watching all of the cool cars and spending time with friends in a different (yet cool) setting.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and helpful. My partner and I are LGBTQ and it was so relieving to find comfort in the fact that nobody was going to treat us differently. I couldn't afford the driving experience for my partner, but we asked an instructor if it was possible for us to at least sit in a car and take pictures, and they were MORE than happy to do that for us. One of the guys was a Jonathan, and I cant remember the other instructors name ): The dining experience at 917 was so amazing with views that my partner LOVED. I will say, I did have to make a reservation 3 months in advanced, but it was worth it. We both got the cheeseburger, and it was still so good even after being heated up later. The butter was shaped as a car, it was SO cute! We said no to dessert because we were full, but the waitress still brought out two brownie bites saying Happy Birthday to my partner. Such an amazing experience, that we both will never forget. I will DEFINITELY be talking about this to my friends/family

Yelp
Honestly what a fun experience! For both car enthusiasts or not! Snagging a reservation could be a tad bit difficult. However, besides being well worth the trouble. From what I observed, they do accommodate most walk in's. Great view of the track brought to you by window seating. Food was good, drinks were pleasant, service was impeccable. I highly recommend checking out the Porsche experience center along with restaurant 917.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the ambiance was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly. It was also pretty cool being able to see all the Porche's on the track.

Yelp
Went there as a visitor on a chilly day. We had called in the check about the restaurant and were told it's functional and accessible to the visitor. However, restaurant was setting up for an event and did not bother to ask if I wanted anything or a space inside. Every visitor at that time kept circling between cafe, lounge and deck probably because they couldn't stand the cold weather and the restaurant wasn't functioning. When someone is paying for an experience - it's not just the drive but everything that comes with it. The restaurant was a let down and the overall experience was unsatisfying because of the absence of simple courtesy to a visitor. Hard to comprehend that Porsche can be this negligent.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant on 2nd floor overlooking the race tracks. Pretty diverse menu and good service. The complimentary pretzel bread with porsche shaped butter was so good and unique. The 917 Burger was really juicy and well seasoned. The salmon was also very flavorful and cooked to perfection. This place is high demand, definitely recommend booking as soon as they open up new reservations slots (we booked 3 months in advance).

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for a long time! I had to make a reservation two months in advance. It's such a hotspot and they are always booked. I wish they offered some nighttime options or a Sunday option. But I was glad to go. The staff and servers are very nice. The food took a while to come out, but that is OK as we understand. The drinks were better than the food! I personally wish the menu was more extensive. The menus we did order were just OK. I got the lobster pasta, which was a six out of 10. Something about the sauce was that tasty but I love that. The ship put out the lobster. Burger was eight out of 10. I enjoyed it. I wish the fries were a little more seasoned and flavorful. And they were absolutely delicious! And the bread and butter. I love pretzel bread and I love the poor shaped butters. Parking is easy and it's an open parking lot at dealership. I love it. I know the structure of the restaurant and you see the entire Porsche and racetrack. Even though the food was OK you have to go for the experience.

Yelp
Wow. This restaurant is pure class - just like the cars. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience for a Porsche enthusiast, look no further than 917. With views overlooking the track, this is a dining experience unlike any other. Perhaps one of my favorite parts of our meal was the bread and butter... it's probably weird to say that but the butter was served in the shape of a 911 - talk about attention to detail! The bread was served warm and it was so good, we had to ask for more. For starters, we got the octopus and it was phenomenal. Not fishy at all, it was the perfect appetizer for two people. For the mains, we got the 917 burger and the salmon salad it they were delicious. The burger comes with bacon and fries and it's cool how the bun is hotstamped with the restaurants name on it. The meat was so juicy and tender, it was superb! The salad was so damn good and I'm not a big salad guy either. I loved the sauce and the piece of salmon. It was the perfect pairing; I would definitely order that again! If you're looking for a unique restaurant, this is the spot to check out! Not to mention, you can walk around the lobby where there are some pretty cool cars to check out.

Yelp
Food, Service, AMBIENCE!!!! Perfect lunch date for my Car Guy to celebrate his birthday...
